00:00Let's go to the north central now where rain continues to soak parts of the region.
00:04This was the scene in the home of the Flyers, Dayton, Ohio, yesterday.
00:08You know, we had just a couple thunderstorms yesterday evening,
00:12but Dayton was one of the areas that even had a severe thunderstorm in the area.
00:17Yeah, you can tell why some downpours there.
00:20Well, more on the way.
00:21I want to take a look at the weekend ahead
00:24since we're talking so much about tonight and other segments of the show.
00:27So we do have a severe risk area, well, two severe risk areas here.
00:32It's a some risk level one out of four.
00:33That means not everybody gets the severe storms, but those who do be ready for the damaging wind gusts,
00:38flooding downpours and hail really not looking like a tornado event.
00:43I'm never going to completely rule it out,
00:44but I think really flash flooding is going to start to be the biggest deal.
00:48Be prepared for some wind reports, though, and a few hail reports mixed in there tomorrow as well.
00:53So taking a look at future radar,
00:55we start to really see the next round of heavy widespread rainfall moving into Wisconsin overnight.
01:00So heads up for anybody heading out about first thing especially.
01:03Might be some roadways that maybe weren't flooded when you went to bed,
01:06but now they are.
01:08Maybe there's some new ponding, things like that to keep an eye on.
01:10By the time we get into about 830,
01:13we start to see things shifting down south into Chicago.
01:16We've already seen some flash flood reports in the greater Chicago area,
01:22not necessarily downtown earlier this week.
01:24That means the ground's already relatively saturated.
01:26More rounds of rain.
01:28It's just going to keep causing more problems.
01:29Saturday night, next round moves in,
01:31and you can see some of these individual thunderstorms.
01:34That's where we're going to see some stronger wind gusts, maybe some hail.
01:38Those are going to be our problem spots.
01:39Rather than the widespread areas of rainfall,
01:42that's more a flash flood issue.
01:44We go to Sunday morning, more of the same.
01:46Detroit, south of Chicago, places like Peoria getting hit,
01:49and we see a lot of this moving through the Ohio Valley as well.
01:52Sunday, 5 p.m., here we are,
01:54and still some of these storms could be on the stronger side.
01:57We have a separate severe area for Sunday that focuses a little further south,
02:00so I'm not going to show it to you,
02:02but just know, I mean, it's been the case all week, right?
02:05We've had some severe thunderstorm warnings.
02:07It's not something I'm going to rule out,
02:08but flash flooding is going to be the headline here overall.
02:12We go through Sunday and head into our Monday.
02:15More heavy downpours into the Ohio Valley.
02:17We really start to see things shift into about from Chicago
02:22into the northeast as we go through the next couple of days.
02:26So quick look at the overall area for the heaviest rainfall.
02:29This is where you need to be ready for flash flooding.
02:32Anybody highlighted on the map,
02:33but especially if you're highlighted in that darker shade of green.
