00:00We did have flash flood warnings earlier they were right in this general area,
00:04but you can see the heavy rain. It's out of here by now. The heavier rainfall
00:07focused more towards the Houston metro, but so far not causing too many
00:11problems. Now, at this point, West Texas, you're just about done with this
00:16event. So the rainfall totals that we have are pretty much your storm totals
00:20for this event. More than an inch and a half in Odessa, about an inch in Lubbock.
00:24We got to that one inch mark about an hour ago, and then we have some locally
00:28higher totals south and east getting upwards of the two inch mark, which is
00:33right in that area where we were forecasting two to four inches of rain
00:36and definitely have seen some flash flooding from it. But as we head into
00:41tomorrow, the rain, it becomes less widespread with the heavy downpours
00:45especially. We still have the yellows and oranges. We still have some reds on the
00:48map here. So some really heavy downpours, but they're a little bit more
00:51concentrated. So I'm not going to rule out flash flooding. You certainly could
00:55see some flash flooding, but it's not as widespread of a concern as what we were
00:58dealing with earlier. Now, Dallas, 1030 tonight. Here's the rain. I want you to
01:03watch what we're seeing in the southwest right now because I know this looks big
01:07and scary for those of you in West Texas who especially maybe already had some
01:10flash flooding. Take a look at what happens as we press play. It really pretty
01:15much dissipates before it gets to West Texas. You're not going to stay
01:18completely dry. There's some showers going on there, but it's not more heavy rain
01:22that's going to lead to more flash flooding or anything like that. We take a look
01:26towards Dallas. You're drying out by the point of 830. We're starting to see
01:29things move more into the southeast. So if we fast forward ahead to trick or
01:33treat time, 7 p.m. Central, kind of right smack dab in the middle of when most
01:36trick or treat is going on. It's Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, getting into
01:41Tennessee that you need to be most concerned about. Not just the heavy
01:44downpours. I mean, that's certainly something to watch, but the lightning,
01:49thunderstorms, lightning and trick or treat. Those things do not go together. So you
01:52want to make sure that you have ways to get out of there if there is lightning
01:55near you. My favorite way, the AccuWeather app with our push notifications
01:59turned on so you get those lightning alerts. As we go through Saturday and we
02:02head into Sunday, there's that storm moving its way across the West. Jeff's
02:06going to fill you in on the details on that, but the part that we should note
02:10for the South Central, you start to see some rain and thunderstorms moving in.
02:13That's going to lead to an early week severe weather threat. So early heads up
02:17there. Again, Jeff's going to fill in some of the details, but back to Halloween.
02:20Here's your snapshot. Everybody in dark green, make sure you have a plan to get
02:25inside when and if you see that lightning during those trick or treat hours.
