00:00Let's go to the North Central U.S. now. Check this out. Time-lapse from eastern Kansas on Saturday.
00:05And there you can see a really photogenic shot there. Storms pushing right over Interstate 70
00:11with the dark skies taking over highway. It's a great view of how conditions change there when
00:16strong storms move through an area. This one, I believe, from Tony Lawback. Let's take a look at
00:22the current radar and satellite combo for the North Central. There are some thunderstorms
00:26today in the Dakotas. These are behaving themselves. Haven't had any tornado warnings issued earlier
00:32today. Tuesday, that system moves east into the Midwest, and there will be some risk of severe
00:36weather here. Damaging winds, the main concern on Tuesday, and some hail eastern parts of Illinois,
00:42northern parts of Indiana, much of Michigan, northwest Ohio, as far east as Toledo. Then
00:48Wednesday, we get into the teeth of the main event. This is another system that follows that first one.
00:52So as we take this piecemeal here, let's take a look at Tuesday. Scattered, strong thunderstorms
00:57here. Parts of Missouri, they escalate. They become a little stronger into parts of Indiana.
01:01Tuesday afternoon, there could be some that follow that first push as well into Ohio. Then into
01:07Wednesday, this is the day we're most concerned about. Some of these storms will be nasty here.
01:11Wednesday afternoon in northwestern Illinois, marching east through Wednesday night into Indiana
01:16and more of Ohio as well. Some of them will be severe for sure. And we're looking at a high
01:20risk.
01:21Northeast Missouri, central Illinois, northwest Indiana with that high risk area.
01:26Damaging wind is the main concern, but there will be several tornadoes as well. Terre Haute,
01:30Champaign, areas like Peoria and Quincy, all big concerns. And the biggest threat here is
01:35the wind, but there is a medium risk for flooding, tornadoes, and hail.
