00:05joke. Just like every month, I've got 15 awesome apps lined up for you. And hey, if you download

00:19it, guys. Anyways, let's start it off strong. Whenever I'm writing in any app, I can just type
00:24question mark fix and it instantly cleans up all the grammar mistakes. Or if I want my writing to
00:30sound better, I type question mark improve and it gets the job done quickly. Or I can take it even
00:36further. I can write out a question and I can just type out question mark answer and then it'll spit
00:42out the right response. And that's just the start. There's so much more I can do. Like I can change
00:47the
00:47tone. I can shorten things, all that. I don't even have to switch keyboards too. It's all done through
00:53this free open source app called Swift Slate. It lets me replace text with AI generated content
00:58super smoothly. And sure, Gboard has writing tools with Gemini, but not every phone supports it.
01:04And plus on top of that with Swift Slate, you can even create your own custom commands too. Like
01:08that's how I made the answer one. And you can use any AI model too, not just Gemini, which is
01:13great.
01:14You just need the API key. So yeah, it's way better than Google's writing tools. Big shout out to

01:44or a dual screen device, you get the full Android Auto experience with navigation, music, contacts,
01:50everything. Honestly, I think it's even better than using just regular Google Maps on your phone
01:55because you get that clean car friendly UI with split screen. Plus you can tweak the resolution
02:00and layout to fit your setup perfectly. Works like a charm. And that's just two out of the 15 apps

02:29because as you know, I saved the best app for last. Now, the latest Google Pixel and Samsung phones
02:33have an exclusive feature that I'm super jealous of. It's called Audio Eraser, and it basically lets you
02:38remove background noise from any video you recorded super easily. No other phone has this.
02:44But now with Deep Denoiser, it gives you something really similar. So if you have a video with super
02:48loud, distracting background noise while you're talking, just like this one. Okay, so as you can
02:53see, there's a lot of background noise right now. There's someone who's blowing the leaves around,
02:57and there's a lot of wind as well. So I'm going to try to see how it sounds after all
03:01that noise
03:01is canceled out. You can just import it into Deep Denoiser. It doesn't matter if it's a video file
03:07or audio. And you don't use AI to clean up the sound so you can come through nice and clear.
03:12Okay, so as you can see, there's a lot of background noise right now. There's someone
03:15who's blowing the leaves around, and there's a lot of wind as well. So I'm going to try to see
03:20how it sounds after all that noise is canceled out. Works like a charm, and it's completely free

03:30Okay, for this next one, I've actually been looking for something like this forever.
03:33It's called CaptureCap, and it's the only third-party app that I've found that lets you record your screen
03:39at full resolution, but also capture your phone's internal audio without using the microphone.
03:45That's right, so if you're recording a game, app, or video, you can actually get clean,
03:49high-quality sound like you see here.
03:57This is pretty big because every other screen recorder app on the Play Store just uses the microphone
04:02to record your internal audio on your phone, and it's way worse. The audio sounds way worse.
04:07And if you game, you already know how bad it gets too when your hand covers the microphone.
04:12And yeah, most Androids also have a built-in screen recorder that can capture internal audio,
04:17but a lot of them still don't let you record at full resolution. So even though CaptureCap has the ugliest
04:23UI
04:24I've ever seen, it's now become my go-to for screen recording.
04:28Here's an interesting one. With smart glasses popping up everywhere, it's kind of creepy knowing
04:33someone can be recording without you noticing. So this app called Nearby Glasses notifies you
04:38if it detects smart glasses nearby using Bluetooth signals. It scans for specific device identifiers
04:45and alerts you if something's close. You can even adjust how sensitive it is based on distance.
04:50Now it's not perfect. I mean, you might get false alerts from similar wearable headsets and it won't
04:56catch everything, but it's still a solid tool if you want to be more aware of your surroundings
05:00while you're out in public. Next, I've got my favorite new ad blocking app called Blockads.
05:06It's the newest one on the market and it's completely free and open source. What makes it different is
05:11that unlike other ad blockers like Blockada, Attaway or DNS66, this one doesn't break your everyday apps.
05:18With those other ad blockers, I've had features break in things like my banking app or other apps,
05:23but this one actually uses UID detection to figure out which app is making the request.
05:29And it uses smart routing to only block ads and trackers that just won't break features.
05:34Plus it also has tons of filters to choose from, an entire firewall to block the internet for any
05:40app you have on your phone, and a lot more. It's even one of the few ad blockers that also
05:44comes
05:44with a material you designed so it looks modern and fresh. Definitely recommend.
05:49And now that you've gotten rid of all the ads, you can now use shade to block out stuff that's
05:53not safe for work in any app in real time. So yeah, if it sees something inappropriate on your screen,
06:00it literally pixelates and blurs it out for you. Even if it's a person who's exposing themselves too much,
06:06maybe within a bikini photo on social media, it blocks them out. I'd say it works really well within
06:11social media apps like X or the web where you might scroll past an inappropriate ad or an image.
06:18Videos though, they're trickier because they constantly refresh so that's not as fluid.
06:26Another downside too is that the screen needs to be constantly captured for it to work.
06:30Plus at certain moments, the pixelation does flash in and out when there's a video
06:34somewhere in the feed, not necessarily in front of you, but in that same page.
06:39But if you've got kids using your phone and you don't want them seeing stuff they shouldn't,
06:43this is a perfect option. Plus, I love how quickly you can toggle it from the quick settings panel,
06:48which is nice. Next up is Smart Action Notch. This one basically turns your camera cutout into a
06:54shortcut hub. That means you can tap, double tap or swipe on your camera hole punch to do things like
07:00take a screenshot, toggle your flashlight, open apps or a lot more. It's one of those apps that you set
07:07up once
07:07and then it just becomes second nature and it's really customizable too. You can assign different
07:11actions to different gestures and it works really smoothly. From there, I have Lean Type and it's
07:17basically a Gboard style keyboard with built-in AI features. So right away when you start using it,
07:23you'll have a familiar feel and you can start using the built-in AI to proofread your text,
07:28rewrite messages, expand on a certain topic that you want or translate on the fly. There's a lot you can
07:34do.
07:35Plus, I love that you can even link each AI button to different commands, multiple ones too,
07:40so you know which one does what and tap on it and it'll do it. And of course, just like
07:45every AI app,
07:46you can choose different AI providers or even keep things fully offline if you care about privacy.
07:51And for that cherry on top, it's completely open source too, which I love. Okay, this next one is
07:56called PDF Toolkit and I promise you this will be the last PDF app you'll ever need. It's completely free
08:02and open source and it basically has every PDF tool that you can think of. Things like merging,
08:08splitting, compressing, and even converting PDFs to images or turning images to PDFs. And believe it
08:15or not, everything is done locally on your device so you don't even need an internet connection to do
08:19all this stuff. Super secure and private and CUI is super clean and simple to use so you'll have no
08:24problem
08:25getting around it. Okay, nowadays there aren't that many new third-party launchers anymore because,
08:30as most of you know, Android still hasn't fixed the gesture navigation bar when you switch to one.
08:35I actually told the head of Android, Samir Samaa, about this in an interview I did with him recently,
08:40which I'll leave in the YouTube cards so you can watch it later. So hopefully he considers fixing it
08:45in a future update. But recently, I still came across this new incredible launcher called Minima,
08:50costing a dollar, and I've been really digging it. Because instead of a typical launcher with colorful
08:55icons, tons of widgets, and lots of distractions, this gives you a super clean text-based layout
09:01so you can focus. You've got different modes to choose from, but most of them just show the essentials
09:06like the time, date, music player, and your apps. Then there's a nice swipe up app drawer with all your
09:13apps inside and even some extra Minima apps like a calculator, Pomodoro timer, a calendar,
09:19and a lot more. Then on the home screen to the left, you've got an area to jot down notes
09:24and tasks.
09:25And on top of that, you can also customize the clock too. I really love all the themes that you
09:29can choose from. The design as a whole on the launcher is really nice. And when you want to focus
09:34in, there's even a Zen mode to clear the home screen and lock in for a certain amount of time.
09:39And to bring it all together, Minima is completely offline based, so it's very privacy focused.
09:45None of your data is being collected. Everything stays on your device.
09:48From there, I found another launcher, which is really cool, Comfort Launcher. And it's also fully
09:53open source and new. On the home screen, you've got all your favorite apps. And then when you swipe
09:58up, you get this crazy arc shaped app drawer where you can swipe left or right to scroll through them
10:04all. Or you can also change it to this one where it's just a giant sheet of apps. It's really
10:09fun to
10:09use. The launcher search is also pretty wild. You can look through apps and contacts with this crazy
10:15looking keyboard. I'll be honest, I don't think it's fully ready to use as your default launcher
10:19yet though, because it's pretty buggy and there's not that many features. But definitely keep an eye
10:25on this one because it thinks outside the box and it's got a lot of potential. And it's only been
10:30on
10:30GitHub for a few weeks, so it's pretty new. If your gallery is just filled with junk, maybe random
10:35screenshots or bad shots that you took, Photoo makes cleaning it up way easier. Instead of manually going
10:42through your gallery, you just swipe through your photos like cards. Left to delete, right to favorite,
10:48up to keep it, and down to switch the picture or video to a different folder. And every time you
10:54finish a set, it shuffles in a new one, so you'll randomly come across old memories, which is pretty
11:00nice. It also has some pretty smart features too, like it'll help you find duplicates, it'll let you
11:05find low quality shots to delete instantly, plus a built-in feature to automatically compress multiple
11:11videos and photos at once to save you even more space. It's really convenient. Another app I've
11:16been using a lot is Zurch. Instead of the basic Google search bar on the home screen, this gives
11:22you a way more powerful customizable version. I mean, you can tweak everything from the layout to the
11:28search engine you use, and even add custom buttons for apps, shortcuts, and other stuff. Inside the
11:34engine too, you can also search for almost anything you'd like, including apps, files, control your music,
11:39and a lot more, which is super convenient. And I like how it still looks kind of like the Google
11:44search bar, clean and modern. The only catch is that some features are behind a paywall,
11:49but the free version works just fine for most folks. Moving on, if you love Samsung DeX,
11:54I mean, who doesn't? You basically get a full desktop experience on a monitor. Well,
12:00this free and open source app called Yuki DeX can actually bring you that same desktop style setup
12:05on pretty much any Android device. You can set it up as your default launcher,
12:09or even just run it as an overlay by toggling it from the quick settings panel. And from the task
12:13bar, you can bring up a full app drawer where you can launch any app into a floating window,
12:18just like a PC. Then from there, you can even drag the windows around and resize them too.
12:24I'd say it works best on bigger screen phones like foldable devices or tablets. And of course,
12:30monitors when you connect your phone to one, it's still really new though. So it's not as polished
12:35as Samsung DeX, but since it's only been released for around a month or less, it's honestly really
12:41impressive. Plus it's completely free and open source too. And that's all 15 apps for April,
