00:00We're back with another best Android apps episode for July 2026 and it's actually my birthday month
00:04So I had to go all out and find you guys 15 generally awesome apps that you've never even heard
00:09of and by the way
00:10If you download even one of them all I ask in return is a quick thumbs up and a comment
00:14Letting me know which app you like the most that little bit of love right there not only helps out
00:18with the YouTube algorithm
00:19But it also keeps me motivated to keep making this series every single month for you guys. So thanks guys
00:24Let's kick things off with a banger net lens lets you visually map out your home's Wi-Fi coverage by
00:29just walking around the house
00:30So that you can instantly see which rooms have the strongest and the weakest signal
00:35So yeah
00:35All you have to do is literally just walk around and it builds a live heat map showing you your
00:40Wi-Fi strength in real time
00:42It's a really great way to easily find all those dead zones in your home and figure out the best
00:46spots to place your router a mesh
00:48Note or a Wi-Fi extender plus it even has other handy networking tools like a channel analyzer that suggests
00:53the best
00:54Wi-Fi channel to use and access point browser that shows you every nearby network and other detailed connection stats
01:00So if you've always felt like a room in your house has terrible Wi-Fi
01:03But you can never really prove it net lens will finally let you reveal it
01:07Okay, so pretty much everyone these days use the shizuku, but I found an even better open source alternative called
01:12chevary
01:13It's a fork of shizuku
01:15So it's got all the same features and similar looks but think of it as a more modern version with
01:20even more improvements
01:21First off, it's got an even cleaner material 3 design and it offers better support for newer android versions including
01:27supporting the latest android 17
01:29QPR 1 beta 5 on my pixel 10 which the original shizuku app doesn't even support
01:35Another awesome improvement is that when you restart your phone chevary automatically reconnects to the service
01:41So you don't have to set everything up again like you do with the regular shizuku app
01:46It also lets you install and manage adb modules right inside the app you can run adb and shell commands
01:51and it even has experimental features like support for
01:54Suzuku
01:55It's not a bad alternative if the current shizuku app on your phone is giving you problems
01:59Huge shout out to Hammond tech official for recommending this to me on my how to man reddit page
02:04If you've also got a cool app that you want me to show off on this channel drop it there
02:08And if I choose it i'll be sure to give you a shout out in the next episode
02:11There are a bunch of products that I use and consume every day like certain foods that I eat my
02:16detergent for my clothes
02:18Body wash you name it
02:20They are packed with ingredients that I know absolutely nothing about like are some of them even safe to use?
02:25Are they toxic?
02:26No clue
02:27But luckily I just came across this app called toxly that fixes that
02:31You just scan the products with a barcode or snap its ingredient list
02:34And it uses ai to break everything down ingredient by ingredient into plain english
02:40And tells you whether what you're using is toxic or not
02:43It even gives the product an a through f safety grade so you can see at a glance where it
02:48stands
02:48And it breaks down every single ingredient in detail letting you know if any of them could be a health
02:54concern
02:54Big thanks to adrian olar for the recommendation on this one
02:57And that's just three out of the 15 apps that i've got for you for this month of july 2026
03:02I know I said this before but there really aren't that many youtubers left still putting together 15 new android
03:07apps every single month
03:08So if you're enjoying this series a quick thumbs up really goes a long way last episode we hit 8
03:13000 likes which is absolutely insane
03:15Seriously guys thanks so much for all the support
03:18Let's see if this month we can push it to 10 000
03:20I know the boys got my back on this one
03:22Oh and don't forget I always say the best app for last so make sure you stick around to the
03:26end
03:26Next we've got shizu call recorder and it's a free and open source app that's the first phone call recorder
03:31To work without needing root and that's super useful if you're in the states too because a lot of androids
03:36Still don't support call recording natively
03:38Once you set it up too it can record both incoming and outgoing calls through a notification that you can
03:44choose to start
03:44Or stop and it doesn't even need to run in the background too
03:48It also works with bluetooth earbuds or your car's hands-free system which is really nice
03:52Plus you can really customize it including choosing to ignore certain contacts for recording maybe unknown numbers
03:58You can record that or just record everything automatically and it even works with third-party apps, too
04:03Of course, it does require the shizuku app to run and yes, you can also use the chavory app, too
04:09From there I have as widget which lets you create custom widgets that jump straight to specific pages in any
04:15of your favorite apps
04:16So like instead of opening youtube and then tapping over to your subscriptions tab
04:20You can just have a widget that takes you directly there
04:23Or you can add other youtube shortcuts in that same widget to jump straight into other pages
04:28Like the shorts page or you can open up the search page
04:31Whatever you want and this works with pretty much any app in there with an as widget
04:35You choose the app that you want and then you can specify which shortcuts that app gets inside its widget
04:40And plus you can customize the shape of the widget and the different colors
04:43I made some so I could instantly get to my spotify library
04:46Easily launched navigation on google maps and my personal favorite getting to the camera gallery inside my google photos app
04:53So I can see every photo that I've taken on my phone much more quickly
04:56Huge shout out to folder widget for recommending this to me on my hot to my reddit page
05:00Check this out whenever I swipe on this pill
05:03I now get this floating dock that lets me quickly access any of my favorite apps and os settings
05:09How?
05:09It's with this app called floating dock which does cost 50 cents to download
05:13But it's definitely worth it because it improves your multitasking on your phone incredibly
05:17Like no matter what app I'm in I can quickly get to all my apps
05:21I can pull up media controls
05:22Brightness and volume sliders and a bunch of other useful quick toggles and when i'm done using it
05:28It automatically tucks itself away. So it's never in the way
05:31It really does help improve multitasking on your android from there
05:34I have photo to calendar which I absolutely love because it makes creating calendar events really easy
05:39Like let's say a friend text me about grabbing food on a certain day at a specific spot
05:43I can just copy their message paste it into this widget and boom
05:47It instantly uses ai to create the event in my google calendar with the right date the time and location
05:54and everything
05:55It works like a charm
05:56But what's even cooler it doesn't just handle text you can also throw in screenshots photos pdfs and even audio
06:03recordings
06:03And it'll automatically pick out any events it finds and let you choose the ones to create
06:08It's really handy. I still can't believe there are a good amount of androids that don't support the depth wallpaper
06:13effect on the lock screen
06:15Where the clock can sit behind the main subject of the photo. I mean it just looks super nice
06:19Well now with depth wallpaper and clock you can finally get that awesome depth clock look
06:24With pretty much any picture in your gallery and any android you have
06:28The app uses ai to separate the foreground from the background
06:31And then it places a fully customizable live clock right behind your subject
06:35Letting you have that cool 3d effect look on your lock screen
06:39And you can tweak just about everything on the clock including the style the colors the font the position and
06:45more
06:46And if you don't want to use your photos they also have over a hundred and fifty templates to choose
06:50from
06:51The only thing though is that you'll just need to figure out how to hide the actual system clock on
06:56your lock screen
06:56But i'll leave a link to a website that shows you how to do it for most oems
07:00One thing i've been trying to do lately is spend less time sitting down on my keyboard and more time
07:04just talking whenever i need to write something down
07:07It's just much faster now before when i used google's native voice typing feature in gboard it was completely terrible
07:13But now for the past few months i've been using whisper flow the sponsor of this video
07:17It adds a microphone button right above your keyboard and basically any app and it lets you talk naturally to
07:22it instead of trying to think about
07:24Punctuation or speaking perfectly even if i pause or say um or remember something halfway through
07:30Whisper flow still figures out what i actually meant and turns it into a clean properly formatted message
07:37If you don't believe me just take a look at this comparison between android's built-in voice typing and whisper
07:42flow
07:43Hey nanya it was great meeting you here's what i still need from your end though number one product photos
07:49number two pricing of the sony xm6 1000
07:53Actually not pricing i meant product info number three the launch date thanks so much best regards for kundals meister
08:02See whisper flow did a much better job plus the more you use it the better it gets too since
08:06it starts recognizing names
08:08Products brands the words you use all the time and it isn't just limited to android either it also works
08:14on windows mac and iphone
08:15So if you're constantly switching between devices like i am everything feels really consistent
08:20So start using your voice instead of your fingers to type away by downloading your whisper flow through the top
08:25link in the description
08:26Plus if you use the code how to men during desktop checkout you'll get one month of whisper flow pro
08:31Completely free if your battery's been dying super fast lately and you have no idea why i'd highly recommend battery
08:37supervisor
08:38Because it'll analyze everything that's running in the background and get to the bottom of it
08:42I mean it monitors which apps are using the most power it checks how fast your battery drains per hour
08:48on average
08:48It detects any abnormal battery drain while your phone is just locked and in the end it gives you an
08:54easy to read summary of everything
08:56It finds for me it showed me that my display was the biggest battery hog on my galaxy s26 ultra
09:01so
09:02I had to lower my brightness a bit more often and it was a pretty big relief to see that
09:06i didn't have any
09:07Bad apps that were hogging the battery i also love that it checks if your phone is charging too slow
09:11too
09:12If you have maybe a bad charging cable or a power adapter it's really useful and it's completely free to
09:18use
09:18Next on most phones i find it pretty annoying that whenever i take a screenshot whether on purpose or by
09:24accident
09:24I don't get the option to delete it right away
09:26But now with ss janitor a free and open source app i can finally do that every time you take
09:32a screenshot
09:33You'll get a notification where you can instantly keep it archive it or delete it with one tap
09:38And if you archive screenshots for later the app can even automatically clean them up on schedule
09:43So you don't have to think about it at all it's that easy if you're trying to build better habits
09:48You've got to check out life engine first off
09:50This is easily one of the best looking habit tracker apps that i've ever seen
09:53The design is bold colorful and it's absolutely gorgeous and honestly it makes me want to just open the app
10:00every single day
10:00But it's not just about a pretty face too
10:02I mean you can create habits for pretty much anything and it tracks your streaks for each task
10:07So you can actually see if you're being consistent and if you're not sure where to start
10:11There are built-in habit template packs that can just help you build routines
10:14Those are part of the pro version though
10:17But even without them this is easily one of the nicest habit tracker apps that i've tried in a while
10:21I'm not sure if some of you have had this problem
10:23But if you leave the developer options enabled all the time
10:26You may have noticed that some banking and security sensitive apps refuse to open because they detect that the menu's
10:33been unlocked
10:33That's exactly why i now use toggle dev to bypass that
10:37It lets you instantly turn developer options on or off
10:40Right from the quick settings tile or a home screen widget
10:44No more digging through your settings every single time
10:46Even better you can set it to automatically disable developer options whenever you open certain apps
10:51And then turn them back on as soon as you leave
10:54And it remembers all your developer settings too so everything gets restored exactly how you had it before
10:59It's great
11:00If you make tutorials or record your screen a lot
11:02Zoomy is going to make your videos look way more professional
11:04Instead of just recording a flat screen capture
11:07It lets you add smooth zoom animations that focus on whatever part of the screen you're talking about
11:12Making everything much easier to follow
11:14You can also add a movable face cam overlay
11:17Maybe trim out the boring parts
11:19You can change the aspect ratio for youtube shorts or for tick tock and a lot more
11:23My favorite feature though is that it can also record your phone's internal audio
11:27Which surprisingly a lot of screen recorders still can't do
11:31It really does help improve your screen captures
11:33From there we have Minus which has become my new go-to budget tracking app
11:37I mean it's got a beautiful material expressive design
11:39It's completely free and open source which is pretty rare for most finance apps nowadays
11:43So instead of overwhelming you with a bunch of menus
11:46It uses a simple calculator style layout
11:49So I can just type in my budget for the month
11:51And it literally lets me track how much i'm spending each day
11:54Even letting me know if I go over my daily limit
11:57Plus I can do a bunch of other finance stuff too
11:59Like I can keep track of all my recurring subscriptions
12:02I can do quick calculations right inside the app
12:04And even see analytics on all my spending for the entire budget period that I set
12:09It's honestly a great app to just help you save money
12:12And then for the best app on this entire list
12:14If you've got an old phone gathering dust somewhere
12:16You can use keymate to turn it into something like an elgato stream deck
12:21Yup you can just install the companion app on your windows pc or your mac
12:25I'll leave a link in the description
12:26And then you can start creating custom buttons to control your computer
12:29You can do just about anything including launching your apps
12:32Opening your favorite websites
12:34You can trigger keyboard shortcuts
12:36Control the media and way more
12:38You can even customize its looks including changing its grid size
12:41You can add a title to each tile
12:43And you can even switch its orientation between portrait and landscape mode
12:48It's such a cool way to give an old phone a second life instead of letting it collect dust
12:52Anyway, if you want to keep watching
12:53You should definitely check out the top tech series
12:55Just like how I look for underrated apps on Android
12:58I also look for underrated useful tech that will make your life a lot easier and more productive
13:02And I did 20 this time
13:03And if you downloaded even one app from this video
13:05A quick like would really go a long way to hit that 10,000 like goal
13:08I really appreciate you guys for watching all the way through and i'll catch you guys in the next one
