00:00We're back with 50 of the best apps you're going to absolutely love using in October 2026
00:04and hey it's spooky season so of course all these apps are scaringly amazing. Now here's the deal
00:10though if I help you download even one app a quick thumbs up is all I ask in return. Deal?
00:15Okay now check this out I got really tired of not being able to reach the top of my notification
00:19shade with my thumb so now I just tap on this button and boom I can easily access all my
00:24notifications right at the bottom. It's done with this app called bottom notifications and it works
00:29really well. I can swipe on them to dismiss them interact with their actions just like before
00:33and of course I can open any of them and it'll open up in the appropriate app and what I
00:38really
00:38love too is just how customizable the whole thing is. I can change pretty much everything about it
00:43from the animations on the notification cards to the button size how notifications behave and a lot
00:48more. I definitely recommend it and huge thanks to all mass one face for the recommendation on my hot
00:53team and reddit page just like every episode if you have an app that you'd like to recommend me just
00:58drop it there and I'll give you a shout out if I choose it in the next episode. I also
01:02got really
01:02tired of every photo in my gallery just automatically getting uploaded to google photos like I'm not
01:07trying to have everything I snap a picture of just get uploaded to the cloud taking up more space because
01:12then I end up needing to just pay more to upgrade to a higher storage tier. So instead I've been
01:16using
01:16snapgate which basically becomes a middleman between my camera and google photos every time I take a
01:22picture a few seconds later I get a notification asking if I want to upload it to google photos or
01:27not and if I do tap upload it gets done right away. Now if I tap discard it doesn't necessarily
01:33delete
01:33the photo instead it stays on my phone and doesn't really get uploaded to the cloud and on top of
01:38that
01:38if you just ignore the notification all together nothing gets uploaded too. You can even set up rules
01:43so that during certain times it automatically uploads everything which is great if you're going on a
01:48vacation or maybe on the weekends you take really nice photos I don't know it's not a bad app at
01:54all.
01:54Moving on if you've got a scrolling addiction and you're just not sure how to stop you can actually
01:58add this floating menu whenever you're scrolling that just shows you how much of a problem you have
02:03and it's from this app called scroll lite so anytime you open tick tock instagram or youtube
02:08this little floating counter pops up that just shows you how many videos you've watched how long you've
02:14scrolled in each app too and a lot more and it keeps track even if you switch between apps that
02:19way you can just really get an idea of how much time you've actually wasted and inside the app too
02:24it
02:24even gives you analytics on your scrolling history and your habits too it definitely helped me just
02:29cut back a lot and that's just three out of the 15 apps that I got lined up for you
02:32in october 2026.
02:34I really appreciate all the support that you guys just gave me in the last episode for september
02:38we even almost hit 10 000 likes I really appreciate it guys maybe this time we can actually try to
02:43see if we
02:44can hit it this time around because trust me guys I don't just find apps that everyone knows about
02:48I really do try to look for super underrated apps with most of them having less than 100 downloads
02:53so a quick thumbs up just keeps this video series going and by the way stick around to the end
02:58because
02:58I'll show you the best app on this entire list next up is flow and I love it because it
03:02adds a little
03:03bar on the side of my screen that I can just swipe on to just bring up this extremely useful
03:07menu
03:07like it lets me see my clipboard so I can easily copy anything and then I can pin things too
03:12in that same menu
03:13so I can easily reach them later I can also reach my gallery all of my recent downloaded files
03:18and my favorite is that I can access an entire quick settings panel with a bunch of actions to
03:23choose from plus this app supports shizuku too so it supports actions that other apps wouldn't even
03:29have to begin with they're really powerful actions and on top of that I can also find my favorite apps
03:34too in that menu and another thing that I love too is that it just has a ton of different
03:38gestures to
03:39interact with on the bar including letting you create your own like I made one where if I draw a
03:44loop from the bar I can just quickly toggle the battery saver it's a really nice way to make
03:49navigating your phone feel a lot more effortless and quicker a big shout out to lazygrocery3410 for
03:54the recommendation on my reddit page from there I've said this before and I'll say it again subscriptions
03:59are just getting out of hand and I'm not gonna lie with so many out there nowadays I just genuinely
04:05just lost
04:05track of everything I've subscribed to so now I just use sub iq because it gives me a really nice
04:10overview in this bubble map I can just quickly see which subscriptions are charging me the most since
04:15their bubble will be the biggest or I can even change the view to a list if I want a
04:20more organized
04:20view I can also get notified when each subscriptions is about to charge me which is really nice and then
04:26I can see all my reoccurring payments just laid out nicely on a calendar and I can also see how
04:30much
04:30I'm paying monthly and yearly in a bar graph that updates regularly it'll even break
04:35everything down by category which makes it really easy to just see where all my money is going it's
04:40just a really nice way to stay on top of everything here's something I never really thought about too
04:44until this next app pointed it out most of the apps on your phone use the same exact notification sound
04:50so you can't really tell which app just buzzed your phone until you look at the screen well with
04:55time it has a really clever way to fix that instead of making you download a bunch of completely different
05:00notification tones it takes the same sound that you already use and slightly changes it for each
05:05app so maybe your important notifications like messages or emails sound a little higher pitched
05:11your social media apps are slightly slower and your less important alerts are a little quieter
05:16and deeper that way after a while you can just get an idea of which app just pinged you without
05:22even
05:22looking at your phone and the nice thing too is that it only really changes the apps that you choose
05:27so everything else can still keep sounding exactly the same it's quick simple and just really thinks
05:32outside the box which i like big shout out to naps 11 for the recommendation on my reddit page
05:36this next app is pretty wild it's called desktop and it basically turns your android into a full
05:42desktop style workspace just like samsung decks and i'd say this works best on bigger android screens
05:47like a tablet or a foldable device because it really does make your android feel like a computer and
05:53from there on the desktop you can open multiple android apps and separate windows you can even
05:57resize them move them around and basically multitask however you'd like you can even save your entire
06:04setup too as a workspace so if you always have the same few apps open together you can bring that
06:09whole
06:09layout back instantly plus i love how easy it is to customize too i mean you can change the resolution
06:15dpi orientation and the input style and if you have a foldable too it gets even crazier because you can
06:21partially fold the phone and then use the top half as your desktop while the bottom turns into a
06:27keyboard and trackpad basically making your phone feel like a tiny little laptop it's pretty great
06:32recently google released rambler which makes voice typing on the google keyboard a lot better but the
06:37problem is that it's only available on the latest pixel 11 phones on pretty much every other android
06:42phone out there voice typing still isn't that great luckily till this day i've just been using
06:46whisperflow the sponsor of this video because i can still voice type super naturally and very easily
06:51when you tap that button above the keyboard you don't have to think about what you're going
06:54to say before you say it instead you can just ramble on change your mind halfway through and make
07:00mistakes and whisperflow will still clean everything up and give you a nicely formatted message that just
07:05makes sense and is ready to send i mean just take a look for yourself here's a comparison between
07:10the regular android dictation and whisperflow when writing out an email hey jonathan thanks for reaching
07:16out here are three things i need before we move forward number one send over the full campaign brief
07:20number two confirm the budget by wednesday i mean thursday and number three let me know the final
07:25deadline thanks best regards fecundo holzmeister as you can see with the normal android dictation it
07:32pretty much just types everything in one giant messy paragraph and doesn't fix any mistakes that i made
07:37while whisperflow did a much better job it wrote everything out properly organized it and formatted it
07:42like an email so that way i could send it right away it just saved me a few extra taps
07:46and a lot of time
07:47and that's just one example i use whisperflow all the time for quickly writing tweets dumping out
07:52really long ai prompts without having to type them or honestly i just use it anytime that i just
07:56don't feel like sitting there and typing everything out and it's not just for android phones either i
08:00can use whisperflow on my computer and if you're on iphone 2 it works there too so if you type
08:05a lot
08:06throughout the day definitely give whisperflow a try you can use it for free and if you use my link
08:10down
08:10below you'll also get one month free a whisper flow pro with unlimited words if you've been trying to build
08:15a
08:15better habits 7grid has become my all-time favorite habit tracking app because it just keeps it simple
08:20with this weekly grid that you just update you just place the widget on your home screen and then
08:24every habit just gets its own row every day gets its own little box and whenever you complete something
08:30you just tap it and just move on that's it i don't know why so many other habit tracker apps
08:35try to
08:36over complicate things or try to have you pay for a subscription or make an account this one doesn't you
08:42can
08:42even make some of the boxes have extra taps too like if you're trying to drink water three times
08:46a day it'll show you three columns inside the box but still whether you're trying to work out four
08:51times a week read every day or even cut back on something like a coffee addiction you can set it
08:57up
08:57however you want and my favorite part is that there are no streaks too if you miss a day nothing
09:02resets
09:03and the app doesn't make a huge deal about it it's just to help you keep track of your good
09:07or bad habits
09:08another thing i'm really tired of is that there aren't really any great office suites on android
09:12that are completely free open source don't require you to make an account and work offline
09:17that's until i came across clear pdf despite the name this thing does way more than just open pdfs and
09:23let you modify them because you can also open word documents excel sheets powerpoints images and a lot
09:30more and you can still edit those too real easily plus on top of that you can convert them to
09:36other files
09:36you can compress them you can sign documents and a lot more it really does have no limits and you
09:42can
09:42just do so much with any files that you download for free if you've got an old android tablet just
09:47sitting around doing nothing movu is a really cool way to just turn it into a full home dashboard
09:52like you can toss your tablet in your kitchen or your living room and just have this home hub where
09:57it
09:57pulls everything from your google calendar google tasks the time weather and puts it all on one big
10:03easy to read screen you can even add reminders and tasks on the spot too and since it can connect
10:08multiple google accounts it actually works really well for families too because everyone's schedules
10:13and tasks can all show up in the same place in the kitchen and don't worry it's got an anti
10:18-burden
10:19protection feature so you can leave the same screen sitting there for days on end or even have the
10:24screen fade to a nice standby clock screen too it's a pretty smart idea next is silent alarm and it's
10:30super
10:30useful because if you've ever wanted to set an alarm without waking everyone up around you this is
10:35perfect because it can send your alarms directly through your headphones instead of your phone's
10:40speaker so yeah the only problem is that you'll need to figure out how to sleep with your earbuds on
10:45but once you do you'll be woken up with your alarm in your headphones it works like a charm too
10:49and let's
10:50say for whatever reason your headphones fall off while you sleep you can choose what happens next when
10:55that does happen like you can either have your phone just vibrate or fall back to just the regular
10:59speaker so you still don't miss the alarm it's not a bad idea if you work early in the morning
11:03but you don't want to wake up your spouse or your roommates you know when you're cooking cleaning
11:07or you're just doing something with your hands and you're busy and you just want to know what
11:11time it is without having to stop and check your phone well talking time fixes that by literally
11:16just telling you the time out loud 8 18 pm you can choose when it announced at the time it
11:21can do
11:22it whenever you want like every five minutes or every hour it's your choice even cooler it has a feature
11:27where
11:27you can just wave your hand over your phone or even just shake it and it'll immediately tell you the
11:32current time without you even needing to touch the screen at all it's pretty great next you know how
11:37you save something in the notes app and then completely forget about it because you actually
11:42have to open the app again to just find it well pin it fixes that by letting you pin your
11:47reminder
11:47or to-do list right in your notification panel where you won't be able to miss it and you can
11:52save
11:52anything including links contacts locations qr codes pdfs audio recordings images and even groups
12:00of apps so that you can launch them quickly and these aren't just basic shortcuts either if you
12:05pin a checklist you can actually check things off right from the notification if you pin a contact you
12:10can call them with one tap if you pin a location you can instantly start navigating to it it's great
12:15works like a charm and it's open source too from there instead of always having some serious boring
12:20widgets on your home screen how about just adding some fun stickers to personalize it with widgetian
12:25the whole idea is that you can place animated widgets directly on your android home screen to
12:29just make it feel more alive and fun you can choose from the stickers that they already have
12:33or you can even add your own from your pictures you can even add animated ones too which is pretty
12:38cool
12:38and you can even add custom words on top of your home screen which is also really nice if you
12:43want
12:44to add your name or something it's really fun and simple i definitely recommend it from there you know how
12:49the iphone duo has that really sick frosted glass animation when you open and close it well dual
12:54fold live basically brings that same kind of effect over to most other android foldables as you start
12:58opening your phone the screen gets blurred darkened and slightly distorted based on the actual hinge
13:04angle and then everything smoothly comes back into focus once the phone is fully open and i'll be
13:09honest the animation doesn't look as good as the regular iphone duo especially since some android phones
13:14have huge limitations on what you can do plus you can also customize how strong the frost is
13:19how dark it gets how the effect is rendered and the best part is that you don't even need roux
13:24it mainly just uses shizuku to get it done so if you have something like a galaxy c fold definitely
13:28give it a try because it's going to give you that animation or at least try to anyway if you
13:33want
13:33to keep watching check this video right here where i go over 15 of the coolest tech items that you've
13:36also
13:37never heard of and you'll definitely want to buy and again if i help you download just one app please
13:41a
13:42quick thumbs up will go a long way to try to hit that 10 000 like goal thanks for watching
13:46all the way till the end
13:47and i'll catch you guys in the next one kapow
