00:00Welcome back to the best Android apps,
00:02this time for March 2026.
00:04I've got 15 awesome apps lined up for you,
00:06and hey, if you end up downloading even one app
00:08from this entire list, all I ask is a quick thumbs up
00:10and a comment, that's honestly what keeps this series going.
00:14Okay, even though I don't use an iPhone,
00:16I've always been a little jealous of that iOS feature
00:18where you can have the album art completely take over
00:21the lock screen when you're playing music.
00:23It just looks super clean.
00:25So of course I found an Android app called MuseWolf
00:28that has a similar feature.
00:29Whenever you're playing music, your lock screen
00:32and even your home screen wallpaper will automatically sync
00:35to the album art of whatever song is playing.
00:37And as you skip tracks, the album changes
00:40and the background color also updates
00:42to match the new album art.
00:44And as soon as you pause the music too,
00:46your normal wallpaper comes right back.
00:49It's really smooth.
00:50Huge shout out to FolderWidget for recommending this to me
00:52on my HowToMan Reddit page.
00:54If you got an app that you think I should check out,
00:56drop it there too, I might feature in the next episode
00:59and give you a shout out.
01:00All right, next up is auto reply calls.
01:02And this one's kind of simple,
01:04but honestly still really useful.
01:06Basically, if someone calls you
01:07and you missed their call,
01:09it'll automatically send a text explaining
01:11why you couldn't answer.
01:13Sounds pretty simple, right?
01:14Yet most Android phones don't actually have this feature
01:17built in.
01:18I mean, yeah, you've got quick responses,
01:20but if you don't physically hit send, nothing goes out.
01:24With this app, it handles it for you.
01:26Plus inside of it, I like that you can switch
01:28between different statuses with one tap,
01:31like whether you're at work or you're driving
01:33or anything else.
01:34And hey, that's just two out of the 15 apps
01:37in this month's list.
01:38I'm still keeping the series going,
01:39even though not many YouTubers are doing it anymore.
01:41So if you're still enjoying these videos,
01:44smash that like button and drop a comment
01:45to keep me motivated for next month.
01:47Last month, you guys showed me so much love
01:49and I really appreciate it.
01:51We even almost hit 15,000 likes, which is mind blowing.
01:54Let's try to see if we can hit it this time around.
01:56Seriously, your support is what keeps this whole thing going
01:59and definitely stick around to the end
02:01because I'm saving the best app on this entire list for last.
02:04Okay, so moving on,
02:06nothing phones have this super simple feature
02:08that I've always loved.
02:09It's called Atmosphere and it gives your wallpaper
02:11this really clean transition when you go
02:13from the lock screen to the home screen.
02:15Well, if you download Atmo Engine,
02:17you can get that same exact effect
02:19on basically any Android out there.
02:21Not only does it give you that signature transition
02:23where the wallpaper goes from sharp to blur,
02:26but you can actually reverse it too.
02:28So if you want your lock screen blurred
02:30and your home screen crystal clear, you can do that.
02:33Plus, this is my favorite part too.
02:35You can select multiple images
02:36so that every single time you unlock your phone,
02:39you're greeted with a fresh new wallpaper.
02:42It's honestly pretty incredible.
02:43And to top it all off, it's completely free and open source.
02:46Big shout out to correctnothing834
02:48for dropping this recommendation on my Reddit page.
02:51Next up is one battery.
02:53And I have a feeling that you're gonna love this one.
02:55So watch this.
02:56Whenever you plug your phone into charge,
02:58this new always on display pops up,
03:00showing you exactly how fast your phone is charging.
03:03Like the actual current, the wattage,
03:05and even an estimate of how long until you're fully charged.
03:08So if you're ever wondering whether that power brick is actually pushing your phone's
03:12max charging speeds, now you'll know.
03:15And the second you unplug it too, that charging screen disappears.
03:18It only shows up when you're actually charging the phone,
03:21which is super clean and practical.
03:23Plus inside the app, you'll also find a ton more battery info for your phone,
03:27like the health, the temperature, max capacity, all that good stuff.
03:31And then there's quota.
03:33This is for anyone who's ever had to split expenses with someone.
03:36You know the drill, you're at dinner with friends,
03:39or your roommate actually goes grocery shopping for the household.
03:43And then afterward, annoying math needs to be done to try and figure out who owes what.
03:47It gets pretty exhausting.
03:49Well quota makes this really easy.
03:51You just scan the receipt and the app automatically pulls in every item and price
03:55and splits each one in half so you instantly know what each person owes.
04:00But here's where it gets really flexible.
04:02You can even adjust percentages per item.
04:05Like if you agree to pay 70, 30 on something, you could do that.
04:09And if your roommate even threw in some extra bananas just for themselves in the grocery run,
04:14you can just deselect the item so you're not paying for stuff you didn't agree to.
04:18It's honestly super handy.
04:20Plus on top of that, the other person, your roommate or friend can also create an account
04:23and join the same list so everything stays synced up between the two of you.
04:28The only catch though, is that you only get 10 free scans
04:31when you create an account and then you got to pay for more.
04:35But honestly, if it helps you remove that awkward money tension and keeps everything fair,
04:39I think it's totally worth it.
04:41I've got to be honest, voice typing on Android kind of sucks.
04:44I mean, you can speak perfectly and clearly to it and it still messes things up.
04:49There's no punctuation, everything turns into one giant run-on sentence,
04:53there's no formatting, and the second you change your mind mid-sentence, it just gets worse.
04:59That's why I started using Whisperflow, the sponsor of this video.
05:01It's actually a lot better than Android's default voice-to-text feature.
05:05Whenever you're inside an app and you pull up the keyboard,
05:09Flow adds a small button right above it and then you can tap it or long press it
05:13and just talk normally to it without any robotic voice or over pronouncing anything.
05:19It basically turns messy real world speech into clean, ready to send messages.
05:24It's way faster than typing everything out.
05:26And just like I said before, it's way better than Android's native voice-to-text feature,
05:29as you can see here.
05:30And on top of that, it doesn't just add punctuation.
05:33It's even smart enough to format everything properly and even remove filler words like,
05:38um, or uh, I've been using this to write entire emails just by talking naturally to it.
05:43But here's where it gets really cool.
05:45If you mess up while you're talking and you catch yourself,
05:48like you say something and immediately change it,
05:51Flow still updates the text to match what you meant to say.
05:54And then my absolute favorite feature is that you can switch between apps mid-dictation
05:59and it keeps going.
06:01So here we go, I'm running an email.
06:03Actually, you know what, I'm going to go into Instagram and scroll on through.
06:07Actually, you know what?
06:08I'm going to go on Twitter and actually tweet something instead.
06:11And it's still dictating.
06:13I'm going to press the check mark.
06:14There you go.
06:15Wrote it all down there right then and there.
06:17Oh, and this works in literally any app out there with a text field,
06:20including WhatsApp, Slack, Instagram, Google messages, Gmail, you name it.
06:25Plus, Whisperflow is also on desktop and iPhone.
06:28So if you switch between devices, it's got you covered.
06:31Seriously, stop typing everything out.
06:33It's just so much easier and faster to just talk to your phone.
06:36I'll drop a link down below so you can download the app for free.
06:39Next up is Call Me.
06:40And this one might literally save you from situations you don't want to be in.
06:44Basically, it lets you schedule a fake phone call so you can get out of an awkward date,
06:49a long meeting, or even anything that feels sketchy.
06:52Inside the app, you can customize pretty much everything, including the caller name,
06:55the number, including what the call screen should look like.
06:59Then you can either set a timer for when the fake call should come in,
07:02or you can instantly trigger it by pressing your power button three times.
07:07And that's the best part.
07:08You can activate it straight from your pocket without unlocking your phone.
07:11So it feels natural, not obvious.
07:13Now, here's the downsides.
07:15First, the call screen may not look exactly like your default dialer.
07:19The default choice tries to make it look like a Samsung one,
07:22or you can also change it to others like a WhatsApp call screen.
07:25The second downside is that if you want the scheduled calls or the secret trigger feature
07:30with the power button, that does require their monthly subscription.
07:33But honestly, whether it's for safety, social anxiety, or just having a backup plan,
07:39this thing can come in clutch.
07:41And since we're already talking about calls,
07:43isn't it kind of annoying that quick responses usually only work with Google messages?
07:48Like, why can't I have it automatically reply through WhatsApp or Telegram?
07:53Well, that's exactly what What's SMS fixes.
07:56Instead of sending a regular SMS after a missed call,
07:59this lets you instantly reply through WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal.
08:04And even better, you don't even have to say the number first, which is super convenient.
08:08So if someone calls and you miss it, you can just tap the notification,
08:12select the messaging app, and choose a quick response to be sent.
08:16It's really that easy.
08:17Next is Dopifier, and this one's an auto-clicker.
08:20So basically, if you're doing a task or playing a game,
08:24where you have to tap and swipe the same stuff over and over again until your fingers cramp up,
08:30this lets you automate the whole thing and save your sanity.
08:33Plus, it's super easy to automate it too.
08:35You just tap on record script, do the action once, including opening the app,
08:40maybe tapping the right buttons here and there, swiping in the right spots too, etc.
08:44And it remembers everything.
08:46Then you can replay it perfectly anytime you want.
08:49It even matches your timing.
08:51So if you took an extra five seconds between taps, it'll replicate the delay.
08:56It works perfectly and lets you just sit back and relax.
08:59Next is Auto-Mute.
09:01Have you ever just wanted to silence that one chaotic group chat during certain hours,
09:05like during work or when you're trying to sleep?
09:09I mean, you don't want to mute the whole app, or you'd miss everything else,
09:12and actually manually muting it in the app each time does get pretty tiring.
09:17So Auto-Mute fixes that.
09:19Instead of muting the entire app completely, it lets you mute specific chats on a schedule.
09:25So if you've got that one group that's absolutely refusing to stop blowing up during work hours,
09:30you can automatically silence it from nine to five and have it turned back on after.
09:35And then you can set different rules for weekdays and weekends,
09:38and it even handles schedules that cross midnight.
09:41But here's where it gets really cool.
09:43It's not just for group chats too.
09:44You can pick any app and even set specific keywords to watch for inside notifications.
09:50Like you can mute a game during certain hours,
09:53or silence promo emails that mention the word sale all automatically.
09:58It works really well.
09:59Now it does cost $3 to download, but huge thanks to the developer.
10:02He gave me 80 promo codes to give away on my Patreon.
10:05So if you want to grab it for free, just head over there.
10:07Next up is OmniTools.
10:09And this is one of those apps that just packs a ton of handy everyday tools in one place.
10:14Now I know there are a ton of apps just like this out there,
10:17but hear me out.
10:19This one actually has useful stuff and everything's free to use too.
10:23Like it's got a parking spot finder where you save your spot,
10:26and later it literally points you back to your car with an arrow.
10:30It's also got a built-in Pomodoro timer,
10:33a bunch of finance calculators for mortgages, car loans, annual growth rates, and more.
10:39It's even got health and fitness tools like you can check your BMI,
10:43or figure out how many calories you burn at rest.
10:46And then just random everyday stuff too,
10:48like a time converter, a volume converter, you name it.
10:52Honestly, I'm pretty sure everyone can find at least one thing in here that they'll actually use.
10:56If you get way too many spam calls and they're constantly ruining your day,
11:01you need to check out CallGuardian.
11:03This is an advanced call blocking app that can automatically silence,
11:06reject, or even divert unwanted calls.
11:09One feature that I really like too, which it includes,
11:12is called STIR slash SHAKEN verification.
11:15It's a really fancy name, but basically it's what carriers use to help identify legit spam calls,
11:21and cut down on those spoof numbers pretending to be your bank, or something else.
11:25So it's not just blocking blindly, it's actually checking if the call is authentic.
11:31Everything runs locally on your device too, which is nice, so no data collection,
11:35plus you get stats on all the calls it's blocked.
11:38Oh, and by the way, I actually made a whole video about blocking spam,
11:41not just from calls, but also messages and emails.
11:44So if you want the full spam-free experience,
11:47I'll leave that video in the YouTube cards for you to check out later.
11:50If you work with people in different time zones,
11:52or you just have friends and families scattered around the world,
11:56you know how annoying it is to constantly Google something like,
11:59what time is it in Argentina?
12:01That's why I now use Time Board.
12:03It's basically got a bunch of world clock widgets,
12:06that are way better than the stock Google clock widget.
12:09The standout feature here is the visual time bars too.
12:12Instead of just throwing numbers at you,
12:14it actually shows you the day and night cycle for each location visually,
12:18so you can instantly tell if it's the middle of the night there or not.
12:22Super intuitive.
12:23And of course, everything is material-themed too.
12:25This next one's for your Android or Google TV.
12:28It's called Sticky Notes, costing $3, and it does exactly what it sounds like.
12:32It puts sticky notes right on the big screen.
12:35So instead of squinting at your tiny phone to plan out your day,
12:39you can throw it up on the TV.
12:41Comes in clutch for group stuff, or just having an important checklist where you'll actually see it.
12:45The UI is really nice too, and you don't need to create an account or anything.
12:50If you live with family or roommates,
12:52and want one central spot for reminders that everyone actually notices,
12:56this is such a clever way to use your TV.
12:59And again, I hit up the developer,
13:00and he was kind enough to give me 100 promo codes to give away on my Patreon,
13:04so go grab one there for free.
13:06And since we're still talking about Android TVs,
13:08if the remote just feels too laggy and slow to use,
13:11I would recommend you instead use Remote for Android TV.
13:14It's basically a lightweight alternative that just focuses on speed and reliability.
13:19It connects instantly over Wi-Fi as long as your phone and TV are on the same network,
13:24and it lets you control everything like a normal remote.
13:27You get voice control, a touchpad,
13:29quick app launch buttons for your favorite streaming services,
13:32and all those other regular remote buttons.
13:35Plus, I even love that it makes it super easy to cast anything you like to the TV,
13:38including photos, videos, and you can even mirror your phone's screen entirely too.
13:44It works amazingly, and it's completely free to download. Check it out.
13:48All right, this next one is hands down the most powerful app on this entire list.
13:52It's called Nomone Desktop, and it literally turns your Android device into a full-blown computer.
13:58Because it literally lets you run Linux.
14:00Yeah, like the actual operating system right on your phone.
14:03It's not insane. You get a proper window-based interface, real multitasking,
14:08and a layout that actually feels like a PC instead of a mobile app.
14:13Obviously, this is way more practical if you're on a bigger screen like a foldable or a tablet.
14:18Or get this, it even has a VR mode.
14:22So if you've got the new Galaxy XR headset, this would be wild to try out.
14:26The only catch though is that the free version limits you to one hour per day,
14:31but you can pay a one-time fee of $8 to unlock it forever, which honestly isn't bad at all.
14:37And that's all 15 apps for this month.
14:39If you want to keep the momentum going, tap this playlist to watch last month's Best Apps episode,
14:43or tap on this one to learn how to get rid of all that spam on your phone.
14:47Seriously though, thanks for sticking around to the end,
14:49and don't forget to drop a thumbs up so we can hit that 15,000-like goal,
14:53and keep these videos coming.
14:54Catch you guys in the next one.
14:57Kapow!
