00:00We're at the point in the year that it's a little bit of a split forecast.
00:03Let's start with the rain, though, and then we'll get into the heat and the humidity.
00:05So take a look at the last couple of hours here.
00:08We have some spotty thunderstorms that have been making their way into the northeast,
00:12but really over the last two to three hours, things have been losing some strength,
00:17so not moving towards some of the severe storms that, you know,
00:21you can see some of the warnings pop up into areas further to the west
00:25and areas that Jeff has been talking about here.
00:27Now, as we head into tomorrow, this is the best day of the weekend,
00:32and I don't know if Friday only kind of sort of counts as the weekend,
00:34but we're going to use it because of how gorgeous it's going to be.
00:38If you are anywhere other than Louisville, Charleston, Richmond, and even D.C.,
00:42you could see a few showers, but most of us, sunny skies, some clouds,
00:46but you know what, we can deal with that.
00:48Temperature-wise, though, a little bit of a dividing line here.
00:51It's great in Burlington, Portland, Boston, feeling like fall,
00:55especially in the mornings and the evenings.
00:56Got that little chill going on, but further to the south,
01:00I deleted my dividing line here, we have like 85 in D.C.
01:05Still feeling like summer.
01:07That's the heat and the humidity that I was talking about with Jeff there.
01:10Now, keep in mind this is your air temperature,
01:12not the AccuWeather real field temperatures that Jeff was showing you,
01:14so add a few degrees to the D.C. forecast there for your AccuWeather real field.
01:19Then we have more rain.
01:21So, we're starting to see a transition.
01:23Earlier in the week, a lot of the rain and thunderstorms,
01:26they were moving into the Ohio Valley and then just totally falling apart.
01:30We got maybe a few showers into the northeast, but for the most part,
01:32we were in the clear, good to go.
01:35That starts to change this weekend.
01:37It's going to be light at first, and then it will be very much not light rainfall.
01:42Take a look.
01:43So, here's the rain, thunderstorms, very scattered that I was talking about
01:47into the mid-Atlantic tomorrow.
01:48Then we continue on through the day.
01:50Heavy rainfall falls apart.
01:53It falls apart.
01:54And then, well, a little bit.
01:56And then Sunday, it really, really does not fall apart.
01:59Now, by the time we get to the east coast,
02:01a lot of the heavy rainfall will have not made it over the mountains,
02:04but we still have rain.
02:06Now, for some of you, this is going to be the beginning
02:09of a couple days of flash flood risk.
02:11Yeah, anybody highlighted on the map here?
02:13So, from Des Moines all the way over to Boston,
02:17be ready for localized flash flooding.
02:19But flash flooding, nonetheless, Sunday through Tuesday,
02:22multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms.
02:23So, at the very least, you might want to bring any outdoor plans indoors.
