00:00Very airy active weather is coming to the northwest with a series of storms.
00:04Yeah, it's a similar storyline, a little bit different as far as the impacts here.
00:08We're seeing the first mini storm, the prequel, if you will, to our higher impact storms we're tracking starting tomorrow night.
00:15So somewhere like Eureka, California, we have the rain.
00:18It's going to continue for about the next hour, hour and a half.
00:21And I'm pointing out Eureka because I'm going to turn off my pen here, turn off the minute cast, zoom out a little bit.
00:28The focus of this prequel, it's further to the north.
00:30However, this next storm, it's going to start coming in further to the south.
00:35We're talking about northern California.
00:36So while it's a rainy view right now in Seattle, we're already starting to see this storm move inland.
00:42It's going to do that relatively quickly here.
00:44Here's the next storm that I was talking about starting tomorrow night.
00:47Certainly impacts for Seattle.
00:48They're continuing with the wet roadways, but we start funneling in that moisture into northern California.
00:54Now, here's a better look at how far south we get because this is a pretty wide surface area from north to south as far as who's impacted.
01:03Even showery conditions into places like Bakersfield.
01:06However, the rain and the thunderstorms, that's going to be up into the Bay Area as well.
01:10So could see some travel impacts there.
01:12We look at the big picture.
01:13What should we be preparing for with this storm?
01:15Well, there's enough rain to get ponding on streets and especially got to watch those burn scar areas.
01:20Even as we get later into the week, the likelihood of flash flooding, that will just increase.
01:25The gusty winds, they're going to be on the strong side, 40, 50 plus miles per hour, leading to likely power outages and some travel delays.
01:32Snow, though, it's going to be higher elevation, above 8,000 feet.
01:36Those snow levels will drop as we get later into the week.
01:39And then one other travel concern, anyone driving through hilly terrain, we're going to see some patchy fog that can also show up relatively quickly.
01:45I want to give you a quick look at future radar and how this plays out.
01:47So here's our prequel moving inland.
01:49We start to see some of that moisture, especially tomorrow morning.
01:52It's the beginnings of that next storm system moving in the Tuesday to Wednesday storm.
01:58We see more of the widespread rainfall as we get into the evening, but then especially overnight and into Wednesday, we see this all along the coast.
