00:00where the rain is returning for the weekend. Check out this shelf cloud looming over St. Petersburg, Florida. There it
00:06is. So add a lot of storms in the southeast. Yeah, we've been dealing with it all week. Spot east,
00:12you've had your chances to get outside, but also kind of makes the lightning even more dangerous because you can
00:16be caught off guard. And I know we've had some injuries, I think at least one death, unfortunately. So with
00:23more scattered thunderstorms in the forecast as we head into tomorrow, make sure you are keeping lightning safety top of
00:29mind.
00:30Let's talk temperatures. So we are in the 80s and 90s, even though we're a little bit more rain cooled
00:35Saturday compared to Sunday, but it only does so much when we're dealing with the heat and the humidity that
00:42we have been dealing with. And here's the thing, the humidity is just not going anywhere anytime soon. You know,
00:48on this map, anything green is 60 degrees or higher for your dew point. The darker the green, the worse
00:55the humidity. And we got a lot of dark green mixing in here.
00:59So what does that mean for AccuWeather real field temperatures? Well, for Saturday itself, a lot of the triple digits
01:04are pushed towards the south central, but Mississippi, you're still dealing with widespread AccuWeather real field temperatures in the triple
01:10digits. And of course, Florida as well. We have more 90s, even some 80s there into Tennessee and North Carolina.
01:16But next week, well, we come right back to our heat dome. Maybe not quite as bad as we've had
01:24in some recent weeks, but I mean, the high pressure, it's just it's sit and put. So it's a little
01:28bit more focused towards Texas early on in the week. But then even by Tuesday, it starts to shift its
01:33way back over to the east and we have more records that will be challenged.
01:38So for Sunday, a lot of this into Texas and New Mexico, it's by the time we get to Tuesday,
01:44this week, we see a lot more of the records that are going to be focused a little bit more
01:49into the southeast.
01:51Not all of us will see record challenging highs, but it's just a sign that this is not your typical
01:57September heat. That's my point here. So we look at the next five days in Atlanta, you bounce back and
02:03forth right around your historical average. So again, somewhere like Dallas, we're really saying well above our historical average the
02:09next five days.
02:09So it's not quite as bad in the southeast somewhere like Atlanta, but we are still warmer than we typically
02:14would be this time of year. We go to somewhere like Nashville. Well, 80s, 90s, Sunday, all the way through
02:22Thursday. And then the rain helps us out a little bit and drops us back down to the 80s. But
02:27it's only so much help.
