00:00Well, we are entering the typically driest part of the year on the calendar in Florida.
00:05So, again, you know, midsummer, late summer, you get tropical systems.
00:09You just have the ambient humidity levels that are through the roof, sparking daily thunderstorms.
00:14Into the early part of winter, we tend to see some pretty decent storms bring heavy rain through.
00:20But we get into a time frame here into the spring months when, you know, we don't really get into
00:24much frequent rain.
00:25Now, we're getting into some pretty good stuff here, showers and thunderstorms.
00:28Some of these could be actually strong to severe in parts of the south north of I-10 on Saturday.
00:33So here's our severe weather risk area.
00:35Mobile, Panama City, Valdosta, Savannah, Georgia, Hilton Head, Statesboro, Macon, and really south of Montgomery, Alabama.
00:43That's your severe weather risk zone.
00:44This is down a bit from where we were on at least the Thursday Ohio Valley threat.
00:49So we're at some risk, some hail.
00:51Isolated tornadoes will be possible, just not many of them.
00:55Let's take a look at future radar and clouds.
00:57And as this plays forward, our showers and thunderstorms, mainly showers overnight, will be rumbling and rolling through parts of
01:05the Carolinas, north Georgia.
01:06But during the day, the afternoon warmth will help to trigger some of these storms.
01:09There's the boundary, the front, Montgomery, Alabama to near Augusta, Georgia.
01:13And along that zone here, some of these storms will become severe.
01:16You can see it gets a little bit more of an oomph here when the system moves east.
01:19So areas between I-10 and I-20 will be at risk for severe thunderstorms.
01:23Behind that, we go from very warm in Florida to much cooler.
01:26Ahead of the front, record-tying highs in Winter Haven, Orlando, Leesburg,
01:31almost to record territory in Jacksonville and Tallahassee.
01:34And then we turn cooler with the front.
