00:09We have, you never know what I might talk about, but the proposed region to cover right now,
00:14southeastern transition from dry to wet once again.
00:17We had fewer storms yesterday. They were suppressed down near I-10 and into Florida.
00:21But look at how dry we've been. This is for the year.
00:24Since January 1st, since the ball dropped in Times Square,
00:26we are still only at 45 percent of normal rainfall in Myrtle Beach.
00:30That means if, you know, we should see maybe 35 inches by now or 40 inches by now,
00:36or maybe in this case about 30, we're sitting down around 16 or 15 or 14 inches
00:40in spots even a little bit below the half.
00:43Dover, Delaware, barely above half.
00:45Charleston, South Carolina, 56 percent of normal.
00:47Fayetteville, North Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina, deep in the hole still.
00:50And the drought continues. Here are the actual numbers.
00:53And you can see Charleston. We have severe drought continuing.
00:57We should have about 35 inches of rain by now. We're still under 20 inches.
01:01Other spots here, pretty significant drought ongoing in Savannah.
01:04Moderate drought there, moderate drought in Raleigh.
01:07Abnormally dry is the official classification in Charlotte and Tallahassee right now,
01:12where we've seen some improvements, but we could do better.
01:15There will be some strong storms this evening and tonight, especially this evening.
01:20Arkansas, northern Louisiana. We've seen some gusty storms push into Tennessee.
01:25It's really southwest of that cluster of storms where the best potential for thunderstorms will be this evening.
01:31It could become severe into northern Mississippi and into areas like Florence, Alabama.
01:36So overnight, it's stormy time still for some scattered, lingering storms in Nashville, Jonesboro,
01:41Little Rock, Jackson, Montgomery, and Atlanta.
01:43New Orleans will see some of that also in two areas around Tampa all the way up into Charlotte, Roanoke.
01:48A little stormier here than we were yesterday, and we're going to have a pretty widespread area of numerous thunderstorms

01:55across more and more of the southeast here with drenching downpours in more areas.

02:01You can see they become more expansive into the afternoon and evening,
02:04especially east into the Carolinas and Georgia as our next front moves in.
02:09This one will bring the risk for some flash flooding.
