00:00:14seeing if i can like wave and come in the pits um no i'm ready you know this i think

00:00:18is probably the one i'm most not anxious but you know i want to just get the first race start
00:00:24i've
00:00:24not ridden in a group for a while so i just want to get myself you know off the line
00:00:27and and settled
00:00:28in and um then we can start to make a bit of a plan from there but yeah looking forward
00:00:32to it
00:00:32what's the podium uh bonus here andy hey he needs to find out it's gonna be that good when he's
00:00:38on the
00:00:38podium he's it's gonna brighten up his day let me tell you that but no generally he's done a fantastic
00:00:43job so far i think to qualify 17th be within 0.3 of going into superpool earlier it's a fantastic
00:00:50job
00:00:50and uh i think everything he's done this weekend is feedback everything like that i knew how good
00:00:54he was whenever he was my teammate because i learned so much from him and i know i'm going
00:00:58to be riding the bike soon so i thought there's no better man to get on this bike and try
00:01:02to give
00:01:02the team some feedback to speed up the process for whenever i come look around you on the grid the
00:01:07row ahead of you got josh brooks and familiar names you've raised up close with and a few dark clouds
00:01:11on
00:01:11the horizon danny what your thoughts on that doing the rain dance yeah mixed conditions on slicks would
00:01:16be ideal um no you know i'm just i'm i'm just out here enjoying it you know i mean i'm
00:01:20taking every sort
00:01:21of uh session as it comes you know the the team are incredible and the bike's incredible and just every
00:01:26session we're just starting to make some changes like even from fp3 to qualifying we made a big
00:01:30change and it was really good for me and and was a big step with how i felt so yeah
00:01:35we're just you
00:01:35know we're looking forward to it we're not there's no pressure from anyone you know like andy said just
00:01:39come and ride the bike and uh enjoy yourself but you know i'm i'm the one now that wants to
00:01:42get a
00:01:43little bit of a push on and um and get back up with some good company but yeah i mean

00:01:47having some of them guys around me it's um yeah credit to the team credit to the bike well listen
00:01:52even if
00:01:52there isn't a podium bonus on offer this weekend me and the boys have agreed that if you get a

00:02:26reddin though who certainly does he's got four wins and a string of seconds this year already
00:02:34that's you're putting a really good championship together what's your thoughts on it because i know
00:02:40what you i know what you're gonna say it's not bad but it's not um yeah i mean you've got
00:02:48to win
00:02:48more to win a championship and that's what carl's done so far this year yep um i just felt like
00:02:53he's
00:02:53had a little bit more than me um in a few areas but the racing's so close that it only
00:02:59needs to be a
00:02:59little bit yep um but you know what we've still got a few more races to go and we actually
00:03:04have the
00:03:04the points start to ramp up at the last few rounds instruction how unlucky were you there i know you
00:03:09you took off at the front of race one what what was what was the plan there i felt like
00:03:15i was super
00:03:16conservative on the tire but then when i went to actually push there was no grip there so i'm not
00:03:20sure i've had a little bit of a dodgy tire because in the sprint race the next day i was
00:03:25going even
00:03:25faster for longer and we didn't change anything on the bike so kind of made me a little bit confused
00:03:31so
00:03:32i kind of played a bit more safe and then for the last race um my plan was to do
00:03:37the same as the
00:03:37sprint race and yeah me and jason kind of come together in the last corner i was quite mad at
00:03:43the situation i watched it back and then i kind of got i was home so early i was done
00:03:48before that race
00:03:49i was i was upset but i was also upset about the situation but i watched it back and thought
00:03:54you
00:03:55know what we know jason isn't an aggressive rider like that he's normally pretty clean um so i messaged
00:04:01him i said bro i think that was literally a racing incident because i was going outside you couldn't
00:04:06see me because of where you were looking in the corner i should have probably been a little bit
00:04:10more aware of that should i've said but the first few laps was a little bit banging bars and it
00:04:15just
00:04:15kind of caught me off guard so you know i was upset in the moment i did apologize to him
00:04:20for that but
00:04:21obviously i'm fighting for a championship the last thing i needed was that to happen yeah um but
00:04:25that's just part of racing we go out to win you know you can't win every race and you you
00:04:29know
00:04:29you're not going to stay on for every race for the rest of your life it's just part of the
00:04:32game
00:04:32shake it off and you know we come back to another track that will be challenging for me
00:04:36yeah well we're going to talk about carol now a little bit that's going to be a challenge
00:04:40very lacking experience here compared to just about everybody else on the superbike grid but after
00:04:45cadwell we've got ass and don it and brands and certainly ass and and don it and should be your
00:04:52sort of stamping grounds really yeah absolutely i know this one's going to be a hard one for me and
00:04:56i've never had a podium at cadwell so my goal is to get a podium or two i'll be super
00:05:00happy with that
00:05:01um but then we go on to tracks that favor me but also kyle you know he's also good in
00:05:06them other
00:05:06circuits you know you can't take that away from him and he's riding you know impeccable this year
00:05:10but that doesn't mean i can't beat him uh so going to places like say donnington he beat me this
00:05:15year
00:05:16already assom we don't know brands i've had one over him on him so it's going to be interesting for
00:05:21sure and i know that we've improved the bike from the beginning of the year obviously at thruxton you
00:05:26can't really show that so it's a little bit unknown for me as it is for the team as it
00:05:31is for
00:05:31all the spectators so we know one thing i don't give up the fight and i think that can play
00:05:35a key
00:05:36role uh but at the end of the day i just like going head to head he he races pretty
00:05:40well which
00:05:40is good and then you get brad getting stuck in mixing it up sometimes in the races and then
00:05:44you know when max is on for me he's there as well so it ain't going to be a runaway
00:05:48job and
00:05:48yeah hopefully we all just get stuck in and have some of the best races that we do in bsb
00:05:56well scott was well aware of the challenge of coming here to cadwell especially seven years
00:06:00on since he was he was last here fellas really tricky prospect that um he's qualified 10th he
00:06:06might not end up making points upon cal today james but he can't afford to give too many away after
00:06:10thruxton no that's right and ultimately we listen we know the reasons it's not like he grew up here
00:06:16he's kind of racing spain he hasn't done a lot it's a very funny circuit and that's kind of
00:06:21amplified by coming here straight after thruxton but he is where it is it is what it is as you
00:06:26say
00:06:26there he's just got to get sort of stuck in try and learn from it and it's sort of uh
00:06:30it should
00:06:31be a damage limitation really for him don't give away too much what would you advise scott from 10th on
00:06:37the grid today shane um honestly that uh there's one real place to create an overtaking opportunity it's
00:06:43about being good out of charlie's two if you can get a good run out of charlie's two you've only
00:06:47got to level the guy you're alongside into into park um you know he's on a he's on a fast
00:06:51motorcycle
00:06:52he's on the 26 cicati and you know we've got 18 laps you know um he starts wherever he starts
00:06:58and and
00:06:58if he can pip a few off like you say it's about not dropping a load of points let's not
00:07:02forget as
00:07:03well the points ramp up after this round so um you know it tracks that you know potentially he could
00:07:07favor he uh he stands to do really really well so as you said i think you hit the nail
00:07:11on the edge you
00:07:12shouldn't have asked the question really you you answered it for me um yeah he's just got to try
00:07:16and keep his keep his powder dry as he get through this with as many points as possible and uh
00:07:20and see
00:07:21how he goes from there simple advice from me make a start you need you need a start of his
00:07:25life and
00:07:25and there's a chance there is a chance in me top five i think okay uh let's hear from carl
00:07:30ride then
00:07:30the championship leader looking to add cadwell to a list of circuits that he's won at this year
00:07:35which has been all of them so far in terms of wrapping up a season so far um couldn't have
00:07:42got
00:07:42much better for you could it assess your session performance son uh best one yet i know um yeah
00:07:50obviously i come in with an open mind i did a lot of work in the winter um i think
00:07:55people appreciate
00:07:55that i knew you had you'd gone you'd actually got yourself as near as you could knowing that your
00:08:00bike were going to be late to race but you went and got as near as you could and just
00:08:03went riding
00:08:04yeah i think the people that mean something to me understand what yeah what i did um yeah just put
00:08:11a
00:08:11bit of time and effort in as everyone does i just went to the to the next level just to
00:08:15be sure that
00:08:16i had a good chance of being first in the championship so that was all i tried to do
00:08:20um i expected a few more bad days up until this point but up to yet we've knuckled down and
00:08:27done some
00:08:27good stuff you're coming here with to what is a challenging circuit you've said that before you've
00:08:33got your head around it last couple of years um but it's still a circuit where things can happen
00:08:37but in a position now where you kind of don't have to take risk when when bsb put up a
00:08:44thing after the
00:08:44weekend how many people have won a race i think there's only been four people that have won a race
00:08:48out of what we've done so all the people that are 100 200 and whatever points behind all they want
00:08:54to do is win so if any of them win they can win if they want to because then it
00:08:59kind of helps me out
00:09:00in some sort of ways because then everyone else has got less points on offer but for me um yeah
00:09:06just
00:09:07keep doing what i'm doing i don't want to think about it too much i'm not trying to go out
00:09:10and finish
00:09:10six three times i still want to win and if there's a good chance i'll put everything on the line
00:09:14to to
00:09:14give it a go it's not been lucky that you've finished as many races you have it's a lot of
00:09:20calculation
00:09:20going in there and you can win when you can but if you can't you're quite prepared to drive your
00:09:26van
00:09:26home smiling having known you've got the best out of the weekend and not chucked it in the trees yeah
00:09:30tracks we ride on it's difficult not to just touch a curb there something go wrong yeah so like we've
00:09:36said in many interviews at every track something will happen at some point that's just bike racing um
00:09:40touch what it doesn't but at the minute doing doing really well um just got to keep keep the ball
00:09:46rolling
00:09:46and hopefully get to brands with a good position winning through on the truck are you not looking
00:09:51forward to anything we've got so we've got here we've got uh ass and donate and brands is any of
00:09:57them that hold any kind of fear for you no no used to be here didn't it i know every
00:10:03weekend or every
00:10:04day that's meant something points wise or qualifying i've had a thought in my head that this is this is
00:10:10the day that something matters so much so much going to happen and i just kind of keep coming out
00:10:15the
00:10:15other side of it and everything's going all right um it's got to that point in the season now where
00:10:19as much i love racing motorbikes i can't wait for tuesday
00:10:26so i just i want to i want to see the other side of this weekend hopefully uh doing doing
00:10:32what i've
00:10:32done the last couple of couple of meetings and hopefully have the same sort of points as what i've
00:10:36got going in into the showdown but yeah this this period's always busy end of august into september
00:10:42me being me i always sign up for loads of other stuff as well so i'm going to all of
00:10:46the next
00:10:46week and then i've got to go to belgium i'm racing at spa in a six hour endurance and straight
00:10:51to assen
00:10:51so got non-stop riding motorbikes but that's what it's that's what it's all about you've got some
00:10:56serious stuff to do this weekend and the rest of the championship but so far you put a foot wrong
00:11:03mate thank you well he's got some business to take care of uh here this week and what's a good
00:11:10weekend for kyle do you think james i think the cowboy park it's always that sort of slightly
00:11:16difficult balance because ultimately you want to come out in one piece you know it's easy to make
00:11:20a little mistake here and it and it turn big so i think that's the first thing secondly he's on
00:11:25this
00:11:25roll you want to keep that confidence going and uh i think that he's he's he's in just a fabulous
00:11:31form
00:11:31happy on the bike so for him i think you know if he gets a few podiums he'll be happy
00:11:36i don't feel
00:11:37enough to win but having said that he's won at every track this year so he's going to want to
00:11:41keep
00:11:41that going isn't he yeah of course it's been a long time since the cats he won at this circuit
00:11:44as well
00:11:45the home of honda shane and they're marking it in their special fashion this weekend with this
00:11:50beautiful tribute to the old hm plant honda uh that you rode of course this is uh this will bring
00:11:56back
00:11:56some memories for you shane yeah it definitely does um when i saw that earlier on i was like how
00:12:01cool is that you know uh hm plant were a massive sponsor to the you know to the honda team
00:12:06back
00:12:06in the day and uh delivery was was really iconic obviously we got to see dean harrison didn't we
00:12:11earlier on right uh kianari's championship winning bike around the around the track for a few laps just
00:12:17to parade that but uh yeah to see them sort of going back in time and reminiscing with the hm
00:12:21plant
00:12:21on the color i think that's uh a great tribute to a great sponsor and uh hopefully it brings them
00:12:26some
00:12:26great luck this weekend yeah when you think about those riders you know kianari or harris or johnny
00:12:32ray you know me well obviously we already mentioned you so don't you worry so yeah i mean it's just
00:12:40brilliant but it just looked at it it came out the pits and wiggily i just sort of double checked

00:12:44i was like wicked great to see it back cool thing so cool yeah this of course the 30th anniversary
00:12:49year
00:12:49of british super bikes too so great to see that back out back out back out there even put my
00:12:55teeth back in
00:12:55and uh and ryan very much the guy who can make things happen on it as well around this circuit
00:13:00uh all right well uh james whittam is amongst that grid for us uh somewhere getting ready for this build
00:13:05up uh to race one where are you james back on row six because i couldn't do a grid walk
00:13:11uh for this
00:13:12race without speaking to our hero here uh danny buck and danny how are you feeling me i'll tell you
00:13:17what you're definitely the athlete you're the happiest man on the grid anyway how are you feeling
00:13:20well i don't know how happy i'm going to be after 18 laps with this you know from talking about
00:13:26this
00:13:26at fruxton to now being sat here on the grid at cabwell it's real now oh mate yeah honestly it's
00:13:31been mega you know the team's fantastic the bike's fantastic um i've been enjoying it i i thought uh
00:13:36yeah i didn't think we would be you know we did a 26.9 in qualifying which was really good
00:13:40didn't
00:13:41really know what sort of pace i had but every time we get on the bike we're getting a bit
00:13:44faster and
00:13:44i'm getting more comfortable and you know there's things i'm not doing on the bike which i would have done
00:13:48a
00:13:48couple of years ago so we're taking it for what it is we're enjoying it you know we're smiling and
00:13:53uh
00:13:53yeah i've got the comms to do after this so i don't know you got work after this i can't
00:13:57be too slow
00:13:58mate because you know i mean the f100 is the way for me to commentate on so yeah enjoying it
00:14:02and uh yeah
00:14:03i think i just want to get this first race out of the way get amongst everyone again and just
00:14:07see how

00:14:18of the width of the track but that after two years off is some achievement just to jump on one

00:14:29to really feel it doesn't matter how fit he is he's still running still in the gym however bike fitness
00:14:34is completely different right we're going to go forward now uh this is uh glenn owen there glad to see
00:14:40glenn finding a little bit of pace of late we've got just over three minutes left we'll weep through up

00:14:46if you look here this is the the honda squad this is jason island look and if you look at

00:14:52the t-shirts look they're all in the beautiful i love a retro color scheme right and this is as

00:15:52real good first sector uh nearly lost the front uh the uh gooseneck hit the curb um but to be
00:15:58honest
00:15:59after that little crash i had in uh free practice too we made the bike a bit better and it
00:16:02turned a
00:16:03lot quicker and then before you know i was on the curb on the inside so yeah just happy to
00:16:06get through
00:16:06that because we've all been thinking about it all weekend we have to pick a song and we have to
00:16:10think
00:16:10about it we have to watch everyone do it yeah it's horrible so brilliant for everyone watching but
00:16:15nightmare for us but glad to get through it and get on the front row good luck cheers mate right

00:16:26this is rory skinner rory look good on the bike looks to be pushing on i've just been chatting
00:16:31with the lads about the lads who have ridden around here at a decent level including shaky and
00:16:36james aiden the little sort of barking in and the screech it made we could hear that on on screen
00:16:43i could hear it through my helmet i thought maybe overcooked this a little bit but hey brilliant worked out
00:16:48well and you had a good last sector but no super bowl was good it was nice to nice to
00:16:52feel at one with
00:16:53the bike you know obviously had a lot of not a lot of dry laps this weekend so yeah kind
00:16:57of scary one
00:16:58going into the race nobody's done any long runs over over i'd say anything over 10 laps on a on
00:17:02a dry
00:17:03tire so it should be pretty interesting yeah we know how important it is to get a good start here
00:17:07you
00:17:07just perfectly play for it now yeah done myself a favor i would say with superpole so uh yeah see
00:17:12if
00:17:12i can get the thing off the line then we'll go from there thank you uh right the man who
00:17:16put the
00:17:17best lap together in superpole on his own uh was brad ray it was spectacular it didn't look the lap
00:17:24the lab that put you here was faster than anybody else by quite a bit but it actually looked pretty
00:17:28boring if you want my opinion it was perfect online hit your marks no sliding no nothing it looked
00:17:33brilliant yeah it was uh it was like a controlled lap um was definitely on the limits there was a
00:17:39few
00:17:39places i was on the limit but um it's hard doing that outright one lap but uh yeah made it
00:17:45clean
00:17:45got pole um makes the race a little bit easier but 18 laps around here it's never easy so we'll
00:17:51see
00:17:51what we've got in this one good luck yeah like brad says 18 laps and here really physical circuit
00:17:56these things 240 horsepower 230 horsepower monsters and difficult and you've got to be accurate
00:18:04you sure do there's nowhere quite like this anywhere in the world it is one of the iconic
00:18:10events on the british superbike calendar the party in the park is kicking off when we come back
00:18:27round eight of the british superbike championship for 2026 and we're at the party in the park it's
00:18:34cadwell and it's just started spitting around the circuit as they head out for their warm-up laps
00:18:41this feels like the heat wave might be over who masters the mountain here today in the championship
00:18:48there's only one man in charge kyle ryde 21 races 20 podiums 47 points ahead of scott redding coming
00:18:56into this one who fell at the last round at trunston bradley ray who starts in pole is 91 adrift
00:19:02and he may be eaten to that gap over this weekend he will start as the favorite surely leon haslam

00:19:09points down overall four from the championship ahead of double race winner last time out ryan
00:19:14vickers it is ray on pole from skinner a yamaha one two with kyle ryde in third salvaging something
00:19:21there from superpole storm stacy could play a part here today whatever the weather he starts fourth
00:19:26ahead of haslam and joe talbert the rookie looking to get his first top five of the season vickers with
00:19:32work to do from the third row they've got that beautiful hm plant color scheme it's home turf for
00:19:39them can he do the business here once more it's reading o'halloran and jackson back on row four
00:19:45with glenn irwin ilia michelchick and brooks then 13 14 to 15. two years out of the saddle and rain
00:19:52spots on your visor for danny bucking as he's about to take on 18 laps of cadwell yeah just what
00:19:58you need
00:19:58uh he said that in one of the practice sessions he's rattling down the bottom straight at the best
00:20:04part of 180 miles an hour going into a wet coppice and you just don't know what's going out no
00:20:09the
00:20:09sun's out at the moment the weather radar says it's not going to rain but we're in a kind of
00:20:13a valley
00:20:13here at the moment it's really hard to predict all eyes in the sky sean ryde having a good look
00:20:18up in
00:20:19the air as well who will get this one then it's a long 18 lap race you feel like if
00:20:24brad can get into
00:20:24his stride he is the favorite i agree we wait for that green flag to wave at the back of
00:20:30the grid
00:20:30there it goes and that means we're ready to get racing the red flag is withdrawn it's eyes on the
00:20:36lights and we are underway here at cadwell everyone from that second row got away well car ride getting
00:20:43swallowed up a bit here from the approach to the coppice corner rory skinner with the inside line
00:20:47he ends the whole shot ahead of brad ray storm stacy is up to third then it's vickers then it's
00:20:53talbot
00:20:53the car ride slipped back a few places james yeah not brilliant start for kyle right great
00:20:58star launch from joe tol but then he got held up on the inside he went to that inside line

00:21:03on the left hand side of the grid oh well there you can see kyle right at the background side

00:21:08side with leon has the joe tol who's that just going straight on into the grass is that christian
00:21:12hidden i think he's just going straight on a park corner or someone's having some trouble a few other
00:21:17riders sitting off as well and it is christian hidden hidden there with some sort of mechanical
00:21:23yep by the looks of things down the hill then into mansfield for the first time rory skinner
00:21:27who looked great in superpole earlier at least yeah i'll see he says he's left early it was a great
00:21:33lap but he i'm not going to say scrap it but he was pushing on with definitely a lot quicker

00:21:40just to watch oh he's pushing the front did you see that he's pushing everywhere honestly sliding his
00:21:45way through speedway style at the bottom of the mountain that was out of shape for ryan vickers and
00:21:49four quick did uh rory skinny just throw it into all bends there how happy does he look on that

00:21:55it looks good a little bit of confidence he's pushing on he got his first podium of the year
00:22:00for cheshire moldings yamaha at ruxton two weeks ago and you're looking for more there's danny bucket
00:22:05and his first race back yeah get it all in yeah i mean listen this is another challenge for danny

00:22:11this weekend because he's never ridden around with a group of people before who were kind of desperate to
00:22:16keep the face that is completely different there is kyle wright's championship leader at the moment
00:22:20behind haslam he's in six with joe talbot the rookie just behind him lee jackson's made a decent start
00:22:25he's in eighth ahead of jason o'hallovan and then it's cooking temp scott redding second in the
00:22:30championship currently in 11th is in the background because he's a bit hot into park corner he's not
00:22:37stopping it and he goes grass tracking yes he did want to stay off because the grass is damp we've
00:22:43got a
00:22:43lot of rain this weekend so keen he wants to try and get do you know what that is it's
00:22:48so easy to do
00:22:49that you only have to miss your breaking point by you know you're trying to get past somebody you
00:22:53miss it by three feet you're going off the track it's skinner from ray on the two yamahas and then

00:23:38skinner 26.2 from bradley ray yeah fastest race lap is by bradley ray a 25 47 so they're a
00:23:48little bit
00:23:49outside of that but remember they're gonna have little bits of uh ram sure spots of rain on the
00:23:54visor i don't think we're gonna eat much rain here there's not gonna be anything to speak of i don't
00:23:58think front two just peeling away slightly on this gap storm stacy in the background there that's a bit
00:24:04hot it's a part of john talbot yes it was that was uh it's gonna be a little bit of
00:24:09a lunge if it had
00:24:10gone into an overtaking maneuver there like you say james you have to be so precise yeah but you
00:24:15think the thing is you break later you're committed and if it isn't going to work it keeps going wrong
00:24:20there is talbot number 19 yeah still impressive he's been quick all weekend the rookie
00:24:25does like cadwell we all love candle don't we it's a brilliant circuit a great circuit to ride but
00:24:31maybe not quite so fun at this sort of speed no but this is what they do and i'm sure
00:24:38that uh
00:24:39i'm sure they're enjoying it i love racing around this place
00:24:44brad is in a perfect position here doesn't have to do anything stupid look at his uh signal board he'll
00:24:50see that he's pulling away from the oh he's got a slight gap to the group behind and that'll be
00:24:55just right for him that looks like he's got the speed here to potentially get by i think
00:24:59but he doesn't need to yet and also they are good buds car ride and joe talbot kyle's helped joe
00:25:05quite a lot yeah over the last year or two ryan vickers with the fastest lap of the race after
00:25:11going grass tracking he's down in 11th place yeah i honestly all weekend i've known that ryan has the pace
00:25:16if you could have got the start and he did but just a little bit of mistake there let's not
00:25:20forget
00:25:21of course that would potentially give him toll but tomorrow is brad ray now he decides to attack
00:25:26number 28 he's not he's not he's going wide he's done incredibly well to stay on the circuit yeah
00:25:32the problem is there what you see is you're on a little bit of a left hand angle as you
00:25:37hit the
00:25:38brakes and that's not going to work so the man on the right hand side the inside going into park
00:25:42corner
00:25:43definitely can't put the brakes on the same with any lean angle at all nearly went badly wrong for
00:25:49brad that or he's also quite late on the brakes himself as well so it's not going to be an
00:25:53easy
00:25:53move this for brad no it's not you he's got to do a little bit more on the straight he's
00:25:56got to
00:25:56concentrate more on look he's still more cracked over his back can't put the brakes on as effectively
00:26:04he did well i keep that on the track you know that's what steve plater made of it from the
00:26:10uh cheshire moldings taz racing team never shy of a rash lunge wasn't steve in his racing days
00:26:16background leon haslam has gone through on storm stacy yes they are about to rapido ducati
00:26:22it's up to third so storm here don't know if he made a mistake but he's now got car ride

00:26:30over the line we go there's jason halloran as well he's in seventh going well four places up from the
00:26:35grid likewise lee jackson now this is where it's key for brad he had a dress rehearsal that one didn't
00:26:41work take two this is where he needs to make more effort the slipstream and the run out of charlie's
00:26:46two is where he needs to do a little bit more of the pass having a look up alongside him
00:26:52yeah a little
00:26:53bit more control that might work he's got down trying to go through on rory skinner well and he's just
00:27:01that's too much that's exactly what he's done so oh and storm stacy's gone down as well at the very
00:27:09same corner what's happening here two riders from the top five i'm just showing out there not been any
00:27:15spots are in there he's at the very end now i didn't know the marshals had had the would have
00:27:21had the
00:27:22the flag out oh this has changed things so just getting out then with a big gap up to
00:27:27leon haslam a car ride is up to third joe talbot now fourth yeah here we go look brad's a
00:27:34little
00:27:35big just a little bit more lean i can't put the brakes on just as effectively early on there's a
00:27:42little bit of a bug going in there but he still had a lot of front brake on he was
00:27:45offline because he had
00:27:46to be and storm follows him in oh what a shame for both of them yeah so easy done there

00:27:55that riders are up and okay but a shake of the head there brad knows that's an opportunity gone
00:28:00completely and totally on earth but just knows he's made a big mistake there so this is all working
00:28:06out well for the championship leader in third he's just up ahead there of talbot with lee jackson and
00:28:12chasing halloran having a great ride there's oh halloran the black and orange bike vyan vickers then
00:28:18his teammate has now just moved up one spot yeah he's still on the podium as yet here ryan vickers
00:28:23yeah he's got the pace to do it i'm sure scott reading is in this group as well as max

00:28:37he's having a battle with eugene mcmanus at the moment for 18th place down the hill into mansfield
00:28:44this is the group from second onwards rory skinner with a 2.1 second lead out front
00:28:54rory had two wins in his career in bsb one on a bmw one of dicati yep this could be
00:29:01another one for him here yep podium on the kawasaki as well i think yes
00:29:08so through hall bends i love this drone shot it's a lovely shot just gives you an idea of the
00:29:13just how tree lined it is and how kind of narrow and sinuous it is there's no straight bit of
00:29:19track
00:29:19from really the bottom of the mountain right until you come out of uh at about corner here there are
00:29:24the two hondas of course their own base just down the road and both their haliband and vickers are going
00:29:30very very well vickers though is the man on the move yes 26 609 for him
00:29:37richard kerr has entered tits so it's the end of the race for him unfortunately yeah they've had
00:29:41a little bit of a nightmare with that five they have yeah it's not been a good day is it
00:29:47so this the battle for second and we're always going to check out he's 2.4 seconds up the road

00:29:54it's sort of these moments james where the chesham oldings team now the panic will start to form
00:29:59soon because where do you where do you he's going too quick now what you're doing is perfect but we
00:30:04don't want you to fight off too much yes there he is the number 11 made him brilliantly and you

00:30:26bikes for the last four years kawasaki yeah bsb then a moto 2 machine which is obviously completely
00:30:32different yeah he comes over into bsb bmw ducati and now yamaha yep that's not easy i mean for all
00:30:41we know it could change again next year this is the fight for second place leon haslam and kyle ride
00:30:47i think you guys analyzed it perfectly in terms of the championship i won't be too perturbed at not
00:30:54winning here but this is job done for him so far brian vickers there trying to find a way through

00:31:00his teammate number 22 o'halloran jackson and redding you're talking about the king this is nearly a
00:31:07put he's needing a podium position here i think it's gonna be determined and giddy he's gonna get
00:31:13i feel like he's he'd be reluctant to do anything silly it's a car ride
00:31:21that is a brave and difficult move to get done successfully and cleanly there
00:31:32especially get someone like leon has as well he's not exactly going to welcome you in no
00:31:37to mansfield three seconds down on rory skinner they are now you don't see this too often in bsb no
00:31:44with three seconds rory has enough of a gap now to manage that really quite successfully and not
00:31:50not that difficult either he's obviously got the pace to get to i got where he is just needs to
00:31:55look
00:31:56at his uh his board his dad will be doing a good job of that yeah his dad mike yeah
00:32:01the spannering
00:32:02and the pit blogs etc yeah proper motorcycling family most of these lads are from motorcycling
00:32:07families uh but the skinners absolutely do you know what it's a really good crew you can just
00:32:12see there there's uh spanner he's on danny kent's side of the garage steve play to keep the close eye
00:32:16on all things tas racing but on rory's side of the garage you've obviously got stuart shenton yeah
00:32:26that's that's a word uh mike is his dad but doesn't interfere in in anything in terms of
00:32:31you know doing anything derogatory he just gets on with his job and helps rory you know you don't even
00:32:36hear it but he's a skilled he's a skilled bike mechanic and they've also got ben wilson yeah
00:32:40ex-rider ex-top level super sport man oh no ryan has got it wrong into park and he's taken
00:32:50down to
00:32:50albert oh what a shame for both of them yeah but that was ryan's crash unfortunately you know what
00:32:57you can see that coming from a long long way back and that's what i'm saying you commit to that

00:33:01crash started happening 100 meters from where it actually occurred honestly yeah he's trying to get
00:33:08through he's going through he's offline the back slot to be actually unfortunately it's really
00:33:14unfortunate especially for joe tober but for ryan as well yeah absolutely always at park corner the
00:33:21the sort of punishment doesn't fit the crime there i thought jump it looked like it got away with it
00:33:26there no unlucky they're going down like flies here yep in this race and most of the damage has been
00:33:33done
00:33:33at park corner so far max cook meanwhile it's slowly moving up just by staying out of trouble
00:33:39yeah i think that's kind of that's the key do you know what it's something that i spoke to
00:33:43carl wright's crew chief about he's petrified he just said i just wanted everyone to stay out of
00:33:48trouble but that's the key here to cadwell yeah if you're guarding a championship we've said before i
00:33:52love this place we all love riding here but actually oh that's nice to see really good to see that
00:33:58and
00:33:58listen they didn't mean to do that there's no way nobody anybody means to do that no that's really
00:34:04nice to see oh what a shame for both of them ryan of course trying to do some recovery work
00:34:10having
00:34:10gone on the grass there earlier as well and you know actually ryan a little bit more to lose he's
00:34:15the
00:34:15man who should be running up front it was his mistake earlier that put him back and and joe was
00:34:19running
00:34:19really near the front with a potential podium oh no that's glenn irwin he's gone now
00:34:27glenn has just fallen simply up inside the top 10 as well yeah park corner again yeah i don't think
00:34:34there's anything that they've all been in church that would have happened whether it would not
00:34:42yeah he'll yeah uh he's throwing his arms off in the air apparently glenn irwin so i'm not sure if
00:34:48there was uh help don't tell us some deals maybe who knows yeah a few divots missing there
00:34:53uh there was definitely contacts and it was josh brooks there on the dow honda but it's hard from
00:35:00this angle to really analyze what happened yeah exactly yeah well i'll tell you one thing uh danny
00:35:07buckens on for some points here yes he is yeah currently in 16th place two tenths of a second behind
00:35:13hedger meanwhile kyle right now sees an opportunity to pounce and second place now for kyle how crucial
00:35:19this could be but just manages to hold his line to not allow leon through
00:35:26he never gives up he never knows when he's beaten ah that was good from kyle left him a little
00:35:31bit of
00:35:31room we could have run him right out to the pain there he didn't so kyle bryder championship leader
00:35:37he's up to second there is this horrible little bump isn't there is there's a surface change it's
00:35:44where there's been it's not a patch it's a a big layer of new tarmac on newer tarmac and where

00:35:50meets the older stuff and that's where there's a little bit of a bump uh meanwhile roy skinner is
00:35:553.2 seconds up the road yeah yeah on the cheshire molding jamaha if you're just tuning in uh bradley
00:36:00ray crashing out um a number of riders out storm spacey as well this is the battle for second kyle
00:36:07ride number one ahead of leon haslam and then it's jason o'halloran who's on for a top five here

00:36:13your race leader and that's the gap back to kyle and then o'halloran reading and lee jackson
00:36:22o'halloran and jackson on for their best results of the year yep danny bucken is in the points
00:36:29he's in 15th i'll tell you what about danny bucken by now he's four rounds will be burning his back
00:36:34i'll be hurting this is physical stuff yeah uh arm pump city yeah that 12 of 18
00:36:44there is o'halloran that iconic color scheme the black and orange
00:36:51this is good this is good step forward for jason yes it is it is looked better since
00:36:56trucks and to be honest they've made progress with the bike and he unlike ryan uh jason needs
00:37:03the bike reasonably well set up for him before he even starts pushing too hard and that's why he
00:37:08stays on as much as he does suspect scott reading here sees this is uh very much damaged limitation
00:37:14from 10th on the grid scott is currently in fifth looking for a way through on jason o'halloran yeah
00:37:19with
00:37:20what happened in practicing qualifying uh and just looking at scott around here i thought that sort of
00:37:26fall to fifth would be a really really good result for him it's looking that way isn't it yeah
00:37:31absolutely not giving up on seconds no well when did you ever see him give up on anything
00:37:38he's gonna increasing that advantage at the top
00:37:42there was uh a way of putting slow down on the pit board from mike skinner his dad i think
00:37:48he would
00:37:48probably look at doing that soon we're about to start lap 13 of 80. good ride this from
00:37:53down racing honda rider lee jackson yes it is they are in need of a boost they are and it's
00:37:57a place
00:37:57they've had good results for and certainly lebo has over the line for your race leader rory skinner
00:38:05who's six laps away from taking his first win of the season yep two-thirds distance complete now so if
00:38:13the rain was was to fall in a race if it was red flagged it would be declared at this
00:38:19stage but a
00:38:20number of followers are tuning in late had hidden with the mechanical kerr with the mechanical ray and
00:38:25stacy fallen vickers contact with talbot into park corner glenn irwin down as well we've only got 16 riders
00:38:33currently circulating some fairly big gaps uh danny check here we go with it there is it yep
00:38:45it's the tag bike there he'll be a bit further behind yeah there he is he's having a good old
00:38:51extra crap here with uh hedge up on his return to the paddock after injury and eugene mcmanis
00:38:59and yeah look at the differences between luke hedger and uh danny booken
00:39:05yeah i'm starting to regret saying that if he scored a point in every race we'd buy him the drinks

00:39:10assen so i'm not sure who to cheer on it we might be riding assen so all we're drinking you'll

00:39:20he'll know from his pit board that that's a points position he's in as well but that would be a

00:39:25result for him meantime out front rory skinner he's managing this one kyle ryde over the last couple
00:39:32of laps has reeled him in by quite a chunk actually yeah but how much of that is rory managing
00:39:37that gap
00:39:38he had real good pace early on we're back to 2.3 seconds now let's come back about a second
00:39:45neon haslam as well in third knows that and he's quite happy just to sit behind kyle and let him
00:39:50maybe
00:39:50reel him in there is a chance here james but i think we'll know by the end of this lap

00:39:55not this is really managed by rolling yeah it's a lonely race as well isn't it it completely so long
00:40:02if you're out on your own yeah sometimes that is brilliant you can run your own line and cattle it
00:40:07normally means that you've got an advantage because you've no pressure from behind you know you've got a
00:40:12gap you can be where you want on track uh some places it you know you can kind of panic
00:40:18but here it just
00:40:19means you can run your own lines this is the fight now for fifth place uh reading has gone through
00:40:23he's up to fourth he's pulling away that's good i know there's been an attrition that's good effort
00:40:28from scott yeah absolutely and he's limiting the damage being done to him by kyle as well
00:40:33the championship because you have to think that going to aston in three weeks time
00:40:40that will be a place scott will be relishing going disappointed if he didn't win every donnington
00:40:46as well i mean we're not all equals at donnington bigger points on offer of course don't forget in
00:40:52three weeks time in ascent you can still get tickets for that if you fancy the trip great trip great
00:40:58place lovely circuit and we stop at a place called groningen just north of us and then he's a nicest

00:41:04it's brilliant yeah we love going yep so much though we don't even care if it rains
00:41:10it rains a bit there we're on lap 15 of 18 for the first bsb race of the weekend here

00:41:18gap james at the front is coming yes it is it's 1.6 seconds that's come down a lot that's

00:41:24enough so there's a chance that kyle's gonna catch rory if rory hasn't got anything left in the tank here

00:42:01time penalty for causing a crash so one presumes that the incident between glenn irwin and josh
00:42:06gap looks about a second and a half still to me we'll see it over the line but it looks

00:42:48risk anything no he's not going to risk just to take a win off rory skinner that's not it doesn't

00:43:02team really just started to come together haven't they and we've always said james rory skinner when
00:43:09he's happy on the bike he is one of the best in bsp he's not there with them well i
00:43:13mean he had
00:43:14uh genuine international potential uh as a youth uh missed out on the whole uh uh sort of road to
00:43:21motor gp he robbed of it it kind of it was yeah i agree um but we've known how much
00:43:27talent he's got
00:43:27for a lot of years there aren't too many riders that in three consecutive years have won bsb races
00:43:34with three different manufacturers correct yeah this is uh reese irwin in 12th place at the moment
00:43:42was spot nesbit just up behind him so some decent points on up for the master mac honda rider danny
00:43:50buckens just outside the points at the moment 16th he's three tenths down on eugene mcmanus
00:43:57i think danny will be feeling it he's got to be hasn't he yep
00:44:06we're about to start the final lap of the race yeah this is rory rory pulled out another half second
00:44:11he's got this one at the moment yep barring any mistakes since that just getting close there
00:44:16it's jackson and o'halloran still going at it the fifth i think jackson so far this year has been
00:44:25consistent but not consistently inside that top 10. this is by far his best result of the season

00:45:51doing he's got a racing brain yeah staying out of trouble and honestly that is so difficult to do at
00:45:57this level but he can do it this rages on for fifth between o'halloran and lee jackson just half

00:46:13enjoying this now rory skinner yep and we just you looked at the way he was moving the bike in

00:46:25corners left yeah i just thought the way he looked on that superpole lap was a little bit too aggressive
00:46:30to maintain for 18 laps it hasn't quite been that pace but this has been a brilliant pace and a

00:47:30and uh eugene mcmanus but a fine display and a new race winner for 2026 rory skinner
00:47:41yeah there are a lot of problems earlier on in the year not just for bike setup but other problems
00:47:45as well uh and they were in some kind of despair wasn't they you know you you didn't even want

00:47:50go and chat to rory because he's a man who you can tell what he's feeling just looking at him

00:47:54paddock you know he wears his sort of irony sleeve a little bit and uh really happy to see that

00:48:00the paddock will be you know yeah absolutely he's been with the tas team of course for some time michael
00:48:04laverty's involvement now that's his sort of first win if you like with his involvement in it as well

00:48:48danny ken finishing in eight circuit that he's not particularly fond of a shame for a number of fallers
00:48:55there that would have no doubt featured yeah i think we would have had a race between skinner and
00:49:00ray there's absolutely no doubt about that shame for vickers for talbot as well
00:49:07but they get to go again tomorrow and the rain did stay away in the end although i'm not sure

00:52:28rory had a fair bit of a gap on me so i was trying to make a bit of a
00:52:32push to catch him i kept making
00:52:33mistakes and i settled into my rhythm which i felt was comfortable and obviously kyle made his way
00:52:38passed on the start and finish straight and he was really good on a few corners and i was beating
00:52:42him
00:52:42on others so it's kind of a yo-yo to the end but where i was good i was i
00:52:46wasn't being able to pass so
00:52:47a few little changes for the next one but we'll take a podium especially with a with a carnage

00:53:06really for how much speed i had but when brad went down it kind of opened everything up because he

00:53:16right behind leon in third so it was a weird race i got a terrible start yet again um but

00:53:22settle into a rhythm and the mid part of the race i started to catch warrior a little bit but
00:53:26honestly four laps to go i had nothing left i was getting double vision um i've not had much food
00:53:30today i've not been very well so i've had one little sandwich thanks to me auntie sue uh that got
00:53:34me
00:53:34through that race but yeah those last four laps i was just hanging on and just tried to keep leon
00:53:38and
00:53:38behind me and uh yeah second place is a great result with all that's gone on today two sandwiches from
00:53:43onto two tomorrow then i'll try my best well done thank you right this makes me really happy here

00:53:54i'm not very often i've got clear track in front of me and i said well you i thought to

00:54:20and the right the right point and you know the last three years it's been three different manufacturers
00:54:23it's my third race win on three different manufacturers in three years so credit to the
00:54:28boys you know i've had stuart shenton as my crew chief for the last three years and you know
00:54:31we've made the best of whatever we've got and uh yeah this year to get first one there second place
00:54:36thruxton unreal i said in the interview before if i can get it off the line i might be in
00:54:40for a shout
00:54:40a hole shot it so honestly surprised myself there thought god i know brad's gonna be fast and when
00:54:45he made a couple moves i thought you know get back on the first time and the second time he
00:54:49made his
00:54:49own mistake in the move so yeah just one of them i think me and brad probably could have went
00:54:54forward
00:54:54i think brad probably had a little bit more pace than me but hey first race first long kind of
00:54:58run on
00:54:59the tire and uh on the bike and a dry at cadwell i'm over the moon rory fantastic performance

00:55:09actually to be fair james used said a couple of times before the start the start is always key
00:55:14key here yeah proved to be the case he nailed it yeah you need the pace as well he did
00:55:17have that but
00:55:18if you can if you can make the start there's a lot of places you can't pass so you can
00:55:23kind of relax a
00:55:24little bit in those places and actually he had the pace you know he proved that really really pre
00:55:29please ferrari uh disappointed for brad that is a tiny mistake he did well to get away with it a

00:55:36before and keep it on the track uh but you honestly you turn over textually there you're on the wide
00:55:41line on the left under before you try and get the inside to the right under at park it means
00:55:46you can't
00:55:46put the brakes on effectively initially when you tap the brakes and that pushes you into the corner where
00:55:51you've got to keep the brake on and that he just caught him out easy to do that yeah no

00:55:56you're looking at me like i said some adapt there no no no i was i've got he was never

00:56:40unloads it and then it's down and and then you see stacy kind of obviously kind of in sympathy yeah
00:56:46yeah i mean he's sort of uh an s bike sort of you know digs in and listen we saw
00:56:52ryan do it early
00:56:52what was a bit unusual is you do see that move a lot people get on the inside of barn
00:56:57it's like
00:56:57the best place to pass at kedwell park but it looked i don't know if something's changed there
00:57:03or it just looked i've never seen so many people caught out no by going up the inside as i
00:57:08have
00:57:08today that's why initially i thought maybe it started because it's right at the early end of the
00:57:12circuit it's quite possible here for that you're in a one because you're taking man but yeah yeah but i
00:57:16think it was well either way it was a race of attrition but these three stuck it out to the
00:57:21end
00:57:21and for rory skinner it's the first visit in 2026 to the top of the box steve yeah thanks guys

00:57:53weather 21st podium out of 22 races and rory third win in three years each with a different manufacturer
00:58:03not being done too many times although i'm sure shaky was quick to remind him that he has done it
00:58:07himself of course he has but congratulations his first win outside of not kill at rory skinner his
00:58:13third career win in bsb and steve plater takes the team representatives trophy as well time for the
00:58:20national anthem
00:59:03rory skinner master of the mountain on day one so much more to come here tomorrow and kyle ride capitalizing

00:59:15that's the story of the season really that whenever kyle seems to be a little bit on the back
00:59:20foot he somehow comes away with the best result possible just a few more points yeah advantage
00:59:27that calmness and that sort of presence of mind that he seems to repeatedly have of not
00:59:32worrying about the things you know he's back there in fifth six it doesn't seem like it's going right
00:59:37no panic gone but he just doesn't panic he just keeps doing his thing and yep it's um you know

00:59:43really is it's that champion's mindset it will come back to me and and it often does so again just

01:00:24and uh race i win so just because you haven't been racing with him you just tangled that second
01:00:29honestly yeah the first lap i genuinely was just like what is going on because there's bikes
01:00:33everywhere everywhere yeah yeah and i was a bit like once i was in the race and i was riding
01:00:37close to everyone i got quite used to it quickly but i think tomorrow i just if i can get

01:00:42start and go away with that sort of like well in that race from like 11th 12th i could probably
01:00:46stay around that time because i felt all right but i was just getting frustrated because i couldn't do
01:00:50anything in the woods yeah i mean before you know you're dicing 14 50 16th you're all together
01:00:55you're there there were the points and looking good on it yeah i was enjoying it but i just i
01:01:01just got
01:01:01to a point here where i couldn't pass luke and then i'm getting to my sector here where i'm stronger
01:01:06and i couldn't do anything i was sort of a bit of a sitting duck so but no listen it
01:01:10was good i enjoyed
01:01:11it i actually felt fitter than uh yeah but maybe that's what i was being held up maybe if i
01:01:16was doing 27s i'd
01:01:18uh i'd have been a little bit more sore but it's really funny how i like i want to just

01:03:06on him if he was at the front to have some kind of push going on uh again just got
01:03:11caught out a
01:03:12little bit uh got on the grass this i mean he did well to save it on the grass because
01:03:16it is quite damp
01:03:17on the grass yeah i mean and that that first incident caused this yeah exactly he's then
01:03:23trying to sort of come back yeah the thing was he was back then he was he was he was
01:03:27in that queue
01:03:28and plenty time left listen it's very easy saying i'm saying it we don't understand what it's like
01:03:35the heat in the moment but he's he's done such a great job to get it back there to come
01:03:40back but
01:03:40that same thing that little curse a bit of inside track you know he's in too hot and it just
01:03:45takes
01:03:46a fraction we're talking probably a tenth of a second less than you're breaking and you're breaking
01:03:50yeah suddenly you can't stop it and the guy you know that we're coming for 150 meters oh yeah and
01:03:55he's just trying to do it and there was it was just like oh god you know it's it's an
01:03:59awful feeling
01:04:00yeah and yeah i felt so sorry for tolba tolba having a really good ride and settled into it but
01:04:05it's yeah it's one of those things the racing incident has happened uh it looks like he's just
01:04:09having a little wonder up there actually to speak to race direction we'll uh bring you more on ryan
01:04:13tomorrow he's going to start from pole position uh he was flying through the pack there at that point
01:04:17when he crashed but it wasn't to be uh right we've still got more racing to come here at cadwell
