00:00Good afternoon. Some wet weather to come for many of us this evening and overnight, but back to the here
00:05and now.
00:06It's been a largely fine and dry day across many parts of England here and some pleasant sunshine to end
00:12the day.
00:13But it's this area of persistent rain that we've had over Northern Ireland that really sets the scene of what's
00:18to come across parts of southern Scotland and northwest England.
00:22Temperatures this afternoon getting up to around 22, 23 degrees across southern England and the high teens across Scotland.
00:29But it's this area of rain that pushes in over tonight and tomorrow morning, particularly that we're keeping an eye
00:35on.
00:35It becomes more widespread across southern Scotland, northern England and parts of western Wales as well.
00:42And it's quite blustery under that cloud and rain too.
00:45Keeping the temperatures mild though, as you would expect, so mid-teens across the board.
00:51The cooler, fresher air across Scotland though will allow temperatures in those clear skies to dip into the single figures.
00:57So a cool but fresh start across Scotland tomorrow.
01:01Meanwhile, this area of rain, you can just see these heavier bursts here across parts of northwest England.
01:07So we will be keeping an eye on that as the day unfolds.
01:11As that rain gradually pushes out off to the east though throughout the morning and into the afternoon,
01:15you can see it is followed quickly hot on its heels by some sporadic showers.
01:20So some of them could be on the heavier side too.
01:23That does bring with it as well some more humid, warmer air.
01:27So temperatures fairly similar on the chart, but it will feel slightly more humid tomorrow in the south compared to
01:34today.
01:34Hanging on to that cooler, fresher air across Scotland though.
01:39So temperatures in the high teens once again there.
01:42These showers will continue to feed in through the rest of Wednesday evening.
01:47Gradually easing off and bringing some clearer spells through Wednesday evening.
01:52And some more showers starting to feed in here across western Scotland.
01:55But you can see the contrast across much of southern Scotland and northwest England.
01:59A drier evening to come tomorrow.
