00:00Hello there. We've got a bit of a north-south split to end the weekend across the UK today.
00:05It is going to still feel pretty warm and humid for a few of us, and there will be some
00:09brighter skies for a time,
00:11especially across the northern half of the UK.
00:14So northern England, parts of northern Wales, and parts of Scotland will see some brighter and even sunnier skies through
00:20this afternoon.
00:20But across the south, we will see some cloud and even some patchy rain for a time.
00:25We could even see some heavier showers across the very far southeast by the middle part of this afternoon.
00:30But it will be a warm end to the weekend. Highs around those low 20s.
00:35It could be around 24 degrees across the south, and we could see some humid air as well across the
00:41southern half of the UK.
00:42But further towards the north, a little bit cooler. Temperatures around what we would expect for the time of year
00:46around those high teens to end Sunday.
00:50Now, as we head through the overnight period, it is going to be a bit of a mixed picture.
00:54Much of those showers across the southeast will fade, and they will turn a little bit more isolated for a
00:59time.
01:00There will be some patchy rain across the higher ground for Wales and northern England,
01:04but there will be some clearer skies developing for many of us.
01:07And again, it is still going to be a pretty mild night to come.
01:11Temperatures around the mid-teens could even get towards 18 degrees across the southwest.
01:16And again, still clinging on to that humid air, so maybe a bit muggy for a few of us to
01:21come Monday morning.
01:23Now, as we start the new week, that rain across Wales will slowly edge its way eastwards through the morning.
01:30It will start to turn a little bit showerier as it does so,
01:33but there will be some brighter and even some sunnier skies developing if you do manage to avoid those showers.
01:38But we do have a bit more rain moving in towards western Scotland and northern Ireland,
01:43which can be quite heavy at times as well.
01:45And the winds are starting to pick up just on the back edge of this rain through the afternoon.
01:51Another warm day to come, though.
01:52Temperatures probably a little bit higher compared to Sunday.
01:56Elsewhere, well, for most places, it will be around 20 degrees,
01:59even up towards southern Scotland, 21 degrees by the afternoon.
02:03The warmest of the air will be across the southeast, 26 is here.
02:07And again, the humidity levels are still high,
02:09so it may just feel a little bit muggy for a few places.
02:11But a warm start to the week.
02:14Now, as we head through Monday evening and into the overnight period,
02:18this rain will slowly move its way eastwards across Scotland and into northern England,
02:23where, again, it will turn heavy at 40 time.
02:25And those winds coming up the Irish Sea are likely to be gusty,
02:29so we could see some strong winds, especially around those coastal regions at 40 time.
02:34Now, as we go through the week, we'll sort of be in and out of settled and unsettled conditions,
02:39but it will start to turn a little bit cooler from Tuesday onwards.
02:42But for all the detail on that, don't forget to head over towards our YouTube channel and subscribe.
