00:06Welcome to MojoPlays and today we're looking at games that are almost here but should probably
00:10stay away. Whether it's a troubled development cycle, bad trailers or just angry gamers,
00:15these are 10 upcoming games that are already doomed. Let's go.
00:19Before we continue, we publish content all week long,
00:22so be sure to subscribe and ring the bell to get notified of our latest videos.
00:28State of Decay 3
00:35State of Decay 3 was announced back in 2020, then spent years shambling quietly through development
00:40before substantial gameplay finally appeared. Undead Labs is now aiming for a 2027 launch,
00:45with a shared world co-op system, expanded weapon customization and a map
00:49roughly four times larger than a single area from State of Decay 2. Those ideas sound ambitious,
00:55but bigger worlds also create more opportunities for
00:57repetitive missions, technical problems and zombies developing the power of teleportation,
01:02which we all hate. A simultaneous PlayStation 5 release should bring the series to a much wider
01:07audience while also placing it under greater scrutiny. Unless combat, performance and survival
01:11management improved dramatically improved dramatically from the second game, critics may see a larger sequel, but a worse one.
01:22Marvel 1943 Rise of Hydra
01:25Super soldiers loose in Paris
01:26Three, counting you
01:28And that's two too many
01:33Putting Captain America and Black Panther together should make Marvel 1943 Rise of Hydra an automatic hit,
01:40But the project carries a dangerous amount of hype. More hype than cyberpunk, and we all know how that turned
01:45out.
01:46Amy Hennig's involvement immediately invites comparisons with Uncharted, while the gorgeous trailers have focused heavily on cinematic faces and dramatic
01:52conversations,
01:53rather than explaining how the game actually plays. Its extended development may give Skydance time to polish everything,
02:00but repeated delays can also make audiences wonder what's happening behind the curtain.
02:04Superhero fatigue adds a whole other problem, as a Marvel logo no longer guarantees instant excitement. Unless the combat offers
02:11real depth and freedom, it might just be a full-priced game movie.
02:14Why?
02:17The Duskbloods
02:26FromSoftware's name normally creates instant excitement, but Duskbloods received a surprisingly divided response when players discovered it was an eight
02:34-player multiplayer game, rather than another traditional single-player adventure.
02:37Its mixture of PvP and PvE combat could produce something genuinely fresh, yet comparisons with Bloodborne have created expectations the
02:45game may never satisfy.
02:46Nintendo Switch 2 exclusivity also limits the available audience, which is risky for a multiplayer release that needs an active
02:54community.
02:55The stylish trailers have shown bizarre characters and chaotic battles, but questions remain about progression, balance, and how enjoyable the
03:02experience will be without friends.
03:04Not that I don't have friends. Okay, I don't have friends.
03:13Fable
03:14Fable is a beautiful open-world action RPG, packed with drama, jeopardy, and high-stakes choices that change the world.
03:22The new Fable has spent so long travelling towards release that the road to Albion may be larger than Albion
03:28itself.
03:29Announced in 2020, Playground Games' reboot was originally expected in 2025, moved into 2026, and is now scheduled for 2027.
03:37The gameplay shown so far looks polished, but some audiences remain unconvinced by its combat, character designs, and heavy emphasis
03:45on British comedy.
03:46Playground is brilliant at producing Forza Horizon, yet an enormous choice-driven RPG requires completely different strengths.
03:52The game must also satisfy nostalgic fans, but has to introduce the franchise to PlayStation players for the first time.
03:59After such a lengthy development, merely being decent will not be enough.
04:03And only wears fancy clothes.
04:06They're high standards.
04:07She is ambitious after all.
04:10Halloween the Game
04:21Halloween the Game
04:22Halloween the Game is entering a crowded genre, where licensed horror multiplayer projects often arrive loudly and disappear quietly.
04:28Its mix of one versus four matches, offline bots, and a dedicated solo mode gives it more content than many
04:34similar releases, and it is released by the same developer who created the once popular Friday the 13th the game.
04:40But, because of that, players have seen this routine before.
04:43A famous killer, a handful of maps, awkward balancing, and a community that vanishes once the opening excitement fades.
04:49Illphonic and Gunn Interactive also bring experience, but their names may worry anyone disappointed by earlier licensed games.
04:56Launching on September 8th, 2026 gives Michael Myers perfect seasonal timing.
05:01However, unless the single-player content has real depth and the multiplayer stays varied, this game could be slaughtered at
05:06midnight.
05:12Crazy Taxi World Tour
05:19Fans have every reason to celebrate when Sega revealed a new Crazy Taxi back in 2023.
05:25The series have been missing for over two decades, and its simple formula of reckless driving, loud music, and terrified
05:30passengers still has plenty of appeal.
05:33Excitement cooled quickly once reports describe the project as a large-scale open-world multiplayer game.
05:39Come on guys, just make some single-player games!
05:42That direction feels strangely complicated for a franchise built around short, frantic arcade runs.
05:47A structure, similar to Burnout Paradise, could work, but turning Crazy Taxi into a major online experience risks burying its
05:54personality beneath progression systems and live service clutter.
05:59Ugh.
05:59Personal opinion, I don't think the formula's gonna work in 2026.
06:03So, go for it Crazy Taxi.
06:05You'll probably fail, but go for it!
06:12What if I told you that every word you say is being recorded?
06:20Judas carries the prestige of being Ken Levine's next major project after Bioshock, but its extremely long development raises obvious
06:27concerns.
06:27Concerns like, is this game ever gonna fucking come out?
06:30Work reportedly began around 2014, years before the game was formally revealed in 2022, and former Ghost Story Games employees
06:38have described repeated reboots, discarded ideas, and difficult management.
06:43Levine's ambition may also have exceeded what such a small studio could realistically produce, with several hand-picked team members
06:50leaving during development.
06:51The footage shown so far looks really promising, yet the troubled history makes it difficult to feel completely confident that
06:57it's gonna be good.
06:58After more than a decade of work, expectations, they're through the roof.
07:02Whether you like it, or not.
07:04Marvel's Blade.
07:12Announced in 2023 with a stylish cinematic trailer, audiences still have little idea what Arcane Lion's vampire game Marvel's Blade
07:19actually looks like in motion.
07:21Bethesda described it as a mature, single-player, third-person adventure set in Paris, which sounds perfect for the studio
07:27behind Dishonored.
07:28Unfortunately, reports suggest the project has gone over budget, and slipped internally into late 2027 for a release.
07:35Its absence from major Xbox presentations has only increased concern, especially while superhero games face heavier scrutiny than ever.
07:43Arcane's reputation could still produce something special, but endless concept art and atmospheric promises cannot carry the project forever.
07:50Eventually, this vampire needs to step out of the shadows and show its face.
08:00Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet
08:10Here's a game that has immediate credibility because Naughty Dog is behind it, but that reputation also creates a ridiculous
08:17standard to meet.
08:18Any new project from the studio will inevitably be compared with Uncharted and The Last of Us, even though this
08:24science fiction adventure is trying to establish its own identity.
08:27The reveal introduced bounty hunter Jordan A. Munn, but offered little proper gameplay, leaving the internet to argue about advertising,
08:35character designs, and everything except how it actually feels to play.
08:38As a completely new property with an enormous budget, the game also carries serious financial risk.
08:44Naughty Dog will likely deliver plenty of polish, but after The Last of Us Part 2, they also have a
08:49huge army of haters.
08:54I'm wasting my time, aren't I?
08:57Can you please blame him? I don't need another hunter swooping in.
09:00Fair Game
09:02So, we decided to do something about it.
09:05Sony clearly wants Fair Game to become its next major multiplayer success, but everything surrounding it makes that feel like
09:13a difficult mission.
09:14Haven Studios' competitive heist game asks teams to rob the ultra-rich, yet its first reveal offers style and attitude
09:21without showing much of an actual experience.
09:23The strange title and fairly generic live service presentation did little to ease concerns.
09:28After Concord collapsed and even Payday 3 struggled, audiences are understandably cautious about another expensive online game demanding their time,
09:37and their friends' time.
09:38A brilliant gameplay demonstration could still change the mood completely.
09:41I, however, think we're all going to get robbed.
