00:00Are you men enough to fight with me?
00:02Anyone who opposes me will be destroyed.
00:05Colonel, you can't!
00:06Oh yes, I can.
00:08Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at some of the cast of 1994's Street Fighter,
00:15and checking in to see where they're at today.
00:22Grandel Bush.
00:24How do you keep from crying out?
00:25I'm sumo, brother. My body could be in one place, my mind another.
00:31Next time you mind, Lise, try to bring back pizza.
00:33In the movie, Bush portrayed our favorite boxer, Balrog, but he had been acting long before this movie.
00:40You may have recognized him in a couple of classic action movies, such as Die Hard or Lethal Weapon 2.
00:46After Street Fighter, Bush didn't receive as much work in acting.
00:50They did the same thing to me, and my boxing career.
00:53Don't tell me.
00:55Figure skating.
00:56He had been in a couple of episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger, and a few other films as well.
01:01But in 2002, Bush had retired from acting altogether, and instead went to school for other ambitions.
01:08Bush graduated medical school in 2010, and is currently working as an ultrasound technician.
01:13Damn.
01:15We've got interference.
01:16No, that's not interference.
01:18It's too steady.
01:19Miguel Nunez Jr.
01:21DJ.
01:22Has the AN deposited the 20 billion in my Swiss bank?
01:25Though his role wasn't super huge, you'll recall Nunez Jr. had portrayed DJ in the Street Fighter movie.
01:32Although it may surprise some to hear that Nunez Jr. had appeared in some notable films prior to playing DJ,
01:39like Friday the 13th, A New Beginning, The Return of the Living Dead, and Lethal Weapon 3.
01:44Did you do this?
01:46Yeah.
01:46Nice shooting.
01:47Ever since Street Fighter, Nunez Jr. has continued a long and prosperous career in acting, having now appeared in films
01:54like 2002's Scooby-Doo, the 2009 blaxploitation movie Black Dynamite.
01:59Come on, this has been my worst physical year ever.
02:02And even an episode of Coroner's Report, where he played as Demon Winter, a reference to his character from Friday
02:09the 13th, A New Beginning.
02:10What's up, Pam?
02:12Andrew Bryniarski.
02:15You got paid?
02:17Playing as the beefcake Russian wrestler named Zangief was the friendlier beefcake Andrew Bryniarski.
02:23Before Street Fighter, Bryniarski hadn't been in the acting business for long, with his biggest role being Chip Shrek in
02:30Batman Returns.
02:32You'll have to go through me!
02:33Ooh, Chip.
02:35Dad, go! Save yourself!
02:37He did pop up in some other films afterwards, appearing as one of the Cavern henchmen in Scooby-Doo and
02:43playing Joe the Boxer in Pearl Harbor.
02:46But Bryniarski's biggest role since Street Fighter is Leatherface.
02:51Yes, he was the actor behind Leatherface in the 2003 remake of Texas Chainsaw as well as the 2006 prequel.
02:59Today, you may catch him at certain conventions and expos, meeting and interacting with fans.
03:09Jay Tavaire.
03:11My champion, Vega!
03:14No!
03:15Street Fighter was Jay Tavaire's very first role, stepping into the shoes of the assassin, Vega.
03:22Popular guy.
03:23The greatest cage fighter since Iron Fist.
03:26Oh yeah, what happened to him?
03:27He retired.
03:29And became me.
03:30While his work in acting has been sporadic over the years since, he has lent his voice to a few
03:36video games such as 2005's Gun, Red Dead Redemption, Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain, and Batman Arkham Shadow.
03:44Unfortunately, Tavaire found himself in a lawsuit in 2016 for fraud, battery, and negligence after not being honest with two
03:53women about carrying an STD.
03:56The lawsuit ended with the settlement later that year.
03:59Byron Mann.
04:00Vega!
04:01Where were we?
04:04You were losing.
04:05Much like Tavaire, Byron Mann didn't have a ton of work in acting before playing as Ryu in Street Fighter.
04:11But afterwards, Mann has had an extensive portfolio in action films, and even appearing in a large handful of television
04:19shows.
04:25Mann also did voice work in two video games you may have played already.
04:30In 2012, Mann played as Raymond and Pockmark in the cult classic Sleeping Dogs.
04:36Your state of mind is an important way.
04:38It's important to me, it's important to how you do your job.
04:40In that same year, he appeared and performed motion capture in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 as General Zhao.
04:47More recently, Mann appeared in the Netflix miniseries Wayward as Brian.
04:53Kylie Minogue.
04:54He doesn't like women, does he?
04:57Oh no.
04:58No, he doesn't like journalists.
05:00I assure you it's an equal opportunity dislike.
05:03For the longest time, Kylie Minogue has been known as Britain's Princess of Pop, holding such a prominent music career
05:10that it was surprising to see such an icon in a movie like Street Fighter.
05:15Indeed, Minogue was one of the few big names attached to the film, playing as everybody's favorite British baddie, Cammy.
05:22Kick!
05:29Though she appeared in more films after Street Fighter, Minogue's career has remained unchanged as she's put out more and
05:36more albums as the decades have passed, her recent works being her two albums, Tension and Tension 2.
05:42Netflix even distributed a documentary about her life in 2026, simply titled Kylie.
05:49Lieutenant, make a note.
05:51I need a vacation.
05:53Yes, sir.
05:55Damien Chapa.
05:57Sayonara, buddy.
05:58Where you going, man?
05:59What are you, nuts?
06:01Ryu, Kyle put a gun to our head.
06:03We did our part.
06:04The real soldiers are here, and we're gone.
06:06Chapa already had some experience working on action films, having appeared in films like Steven Seagal's Under Siege, before starring
06:14as Pooch in Saints and Sinners.
06:16But it seems like both Saints and Sinners, and playing as Ken Masters in Street Fighter, might have caused his
06:22career to continuously accelerate.
06:24Since 1994, Chapa has enjoyed an extensive career in acting, writing, directing, and producing action movies such as Mexican Gangster,
06:34Fuego, and many, many more.
06:37As of October 2026, Chapa still has a litany of films he's done work on that have yet to be
06:43released.
06:44I don't understand.
06:46I know you don't.
06:47Ming-Na Wen.
06:48Those two young men who led the prison break and killed you.
06:53They're working for you, aren't they?
06:55Oh, you most certainly know already what Ming-Na Wen has been up to.
06:59Ever since she appeared in Street Fighter as Chun-Li, Wen has been an incredibly busy woman.
07:05Not long after Street Fighter, Wen helped shape the lives of an entire generation by voicing the titular character of
07:12the 1998 Disney classic, Mulan.
07:16Not quite.
07:17Her ties with Disney didn't end there.
07:19During the show's run, Wen played as Agent Melinda May in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
07:25She has also performed for Marvel and Star Wars projects, having voiced Phyla Vel in the animated series Guardians of
07:31the Galaxy, and playing Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
07:37They're going to war.
07:38And yes, when the opportunity arises, she still voices Mulan in whatever projects the character appears in.
07:45But I was wrong.
07:47I see nothing.
07:49Jean-Claude Van Damme.
07:51And I'm going to kick that son of a bitch bison's ass so hard that the next bison wannabe is
07:59gonna feel it.
08:00Van Damme has lived pretty much his entire life as one of the biggest stars in action movie history.
08:05From his breakout role in Bloodsport to The Gardener, Van Damme has garnered such a storied career and even done
08:12some good in advocating for animal rights and environmental conservation.
08:16Sounds like work Guile himself would be proud of.
08:20Have you lost your mind?
08:21No.
08:23You've lost your balls.
08:24Unfortunately, Van Damme has become a questionable figure ever since the production of Street Fighter began.
08:31Mid-production, he had an affair with Minogue while married, which he did not admit to until 2012.
08:37Van Damme has also become a staunch supporter of United States President Donald Trump and has held some interesting beliefs
08:45regarding the Illuminati.
08:47And in 2025, Van Damme was accused of human trafficking by the Romanian Directorate for investigating organized crime and terrorism.

09:28And lastly, Raul Julia.
09:31You came from across the world to fight me, soldier.
09:34Now is your chance.
09:38Many of us will long remember Julia for playing as the tyrannical maniac General M. Bison.
09:43As many fans may recall, Julia had eagerly accepted the role of Bison because his kids were Street Fighter fans,
09:51hoping his role would allow him to spend more time with his kids.
09:54His performance is arguably what makes Street Fighter such an enjoyable film despite all of its other problems.
10:01The world thought very little of you, my dear guests. Too little to pay the pittance I asked for.
10:09Unfortunately, Street Fighter would be one of Julia's final performances.
10:14In his final years, Julia had been struggling with stomach cancer and would later suffer severe health complications from a
10:21stroke.
10:21Julia was put on life support for four days before passing on October 24th, 1994.
10:27Today, Julia has become a major source of inspiration for many actors and organizations.
10:34The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce even created a scholarship fund in 1997 as a means to honor him and
10:41help provide teenagers with college education in the arts.
10:45Bison Grace to your village was the most important day of your life.
10:52But for me, it was Tuesday.
