00:09Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we're taking a look at 10 games that are getting killed very soon.
00:16Hope you clocked in some time with these beforehand.
00:22These cars may be hot stuff, but not this hot!
00:27Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to MojoPlays and ring the

00:37Mario Kart Tour
00:48At the time of writing, Mario Kart Tour is approaching the end of its 7 year long circuit.
00:54In summer 2026, Nintendo announced that the mobile game based on its flagship kart racing franchise is retiring on September
01:0330th, 2026.
01:05And all means to purchase premium currency has been entirely disabled.
01:17With its gacha mechanics, battle pass system, and mundane integration of player based bots instead of true online gameplay,
01:25Mario Kart Tour was widely regarded as the lowest point in the series history, which is saying something considering what
01:32we went through with Mario Kart 7.
01:34Regardless how you felt about Tour, the game has been preserved in some way.
01:39You can still play through all of the game's courses by purchasing the booster course DLC for Mario Kart 8
01:45Deluxe.
01:52Let it Die
02:03In case you forgot about this game, Let It Die was Grasshopper Manufacturer's foray into online live service games.
02:11Though it didn't explode in the same way so many live service games did, it garnered a small but dedicated
02:17fanbase as the years waned on.
02:19It's honestly surprising that the game has remained online over the past decade despite never getting that big of a
02:26following.
02:33But the bell tolled in March 2026 as Grasshopper announced that the game's servers would be shut down in Fall
02:412026.
02:42Luckily, if you want to keep playing the game or you never got the chance to play over the past
02:4710 years somehow,
02:48Let It Die will be updated to be playable offline.
02:52And if you have a PlayStation 5, the game runs a lot smoother over there than it ever did on
02:57PS4.
03:09Tower of Fantasy
03:11For those of you who may be playing Tower of Fantasy, no, the game itself is not shutting down.
03:20However, those of you playing on PlayStation 4 will be affected.
03:25On April 7th, 2026, it was announced that the PS4 version of the game would be delisted immediately,
03:32with servers shutting down on October 20th, 2026.
03:36Services on other platforms, those being PS5, PC, and mobile devices will remain unaffected.
03:43At the time of this video, Tower of Fantasy has been catering to hundreds of thousands of monthly active users
03:49since 2022.
03:51Having gone through various updates, expansions, and crossover events.
03:56So, perhaps the casualties afflicted by the PS4 version shuttering will be minimal or even less.
04:10Firewall Ultra
04:16Whereas Firewall Zero Hour became a major hit on PlayStation VR, its sequel did not get to enjoy a prosperous
04:24life.
04:25Firewall Ultra will be shutting down on September 17th, 2026, more than three years after its release.
04:33The reason for this can likely be attributed to the poor commercial performance of the PlayStation VR 2.
04:39Since the hardware's release in February 2023, the PSVR 2 failed to gain any traction, even within the hardcore side
04:47of the PlayStation fanbase.
04:59Firewall Ultra was a casualty in the headset's low sales.
05:02And it's a crying shame, because both Firewall games were excellent in how they made tactical FPS gameplay work in
05:09the realm of VR.
05:18Fireteam Elite
05:27There's not much reason to panic on this one.
05:30Just like the situation with Tower of Fantasy, there is only cause for concern if you play Aliens Fireteam Elite
05:37on one particular platform.
05:38In March 2026, those playing Fireteam Elite on Nintendo Switch were greeted with a depressing in-game message, which stated
05:48that the game was being shuttered.
05:54Not only was the game already delisted from the Nintendo Switch digital storefront, servers would be shut down on August
06:015th, 2026.
06:03Though no reason was given, it's safe to assume that Fireteam Elite likely did not sell well on Switch, and
06:10therefore, there was very little reason to keep the game online over there.
06:14Other platforms will remain unaffected.
06:28Apex Legends
06:38Fireteam Elite is not the only Switch casualty on this list, and spoiler, Apex Legends will not be the last
06:45one.
06:45However, it is hard to believe that anybody is playing a graphically demanding PvP shooter on a low-end console
06:52like the Nintendo Switch.
06:53Regardless of how one may feel, yes, Apex Legends has been delisted, and will be shutting down on Nintendo Switch
07:00on August 4th, 2026.
07:03That isn't to say that the Battle Royale will be completely absent from Nintendo's ecosystem, as it is currently available
07:09on Nintendo Switch 2.
07:11And yeah, it plays way better over there. Just make sure you have roughly 80GB available to install it. It's
07:17massive.
07:18Nice to meet you. There's another squad on us. New kill leader? Interesting.
07:27Damn it, that hurt. I'm down there.
07:30Kingdom Hearts Cloud Version.
07:38For a brief moment, game companies like Square Enix thought they could get away with selling cloud versions of some
07:45of their games.
07:46By dropping a whopping 40 bucks, you could experience the magic of the Kingdom Hearts story by streaming it to
07:54your Nintendo Switch.
07:55Well, that probably didn't pan out as well as everybody thought.
07:58If, for whatever reason, you want to relive the lag in input latency, you have until June 9th, 2027 to
08:05enjoy it.
08:06And no, you cannot purchase it if you haven't already.
08:09There is a good reason as to why this delisting is even happening in the first place.
08:13Kingdom Hearts is actually getting native ports in October 2026,
08:18and the whole series will be available on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
08:25So, these cloud versions have just become redundant.
08:38Counter-Strike Nexon.
08:46Over the last 12 years, Counter-Strike Nexon tried to rope players into enjoying the tactical military shooter in another
08:54way outside of pure competitive PvP.
08:57Nexon was essentially the Roblox or Fortnite of the IP, focused on user-generated content with some massive updates here
09:04and there, and a lot of zombies.
09:06Unfortunately, the last handful of years have been rough for Nexon, as players report unstable performance, lackluster game modes, and,
09:14of course, the pay-to-win monetization model.
09:25Counter-Strike Nexon will be no more as of September 2026.
09:30Some players have paid their respects, others have said good riddance.
09:36Counter-Strike Nexon.
09:37Counter-Strike Nexon.
09:37The Mastor Colom.
09:40They're aging enemies, where could they be?
09:43Destruction All-Stars.
09:45When the clock hits zero, the all-star with the most points wins.
09:50Oh, that's gonna bend him out of shape.
09:53Yet another live service game crops up on the list, but this one has been dying a slow and painful
09:59death.
10:00Over the last couple of years since the player base abandoned it, Destruction All-Stars has suffered from severe, technical
10:06issues with its online matchmaking.
10:09We were unable to play online for so long that many believed the game had just been quietly shuttered.
10:23But Sony put out the official award in May 2026, stating that the game was delisted immediately, premium currency was
10:31no longer purchasable, and servers would be disconnected in November 2026.
10:36But what's unique about Destruction All-Stars' situation is that the only way to experience its single-player campaign is
10:44to buy them with the premium currency.
10:46So, this PlayStation exclusive is about to lose a lot of its content.
10:53Please are ready for the cardboard crusader!
11:02If you love games, be sure to check out WatchMojo's new game, Terrible Influence.
11:07Just launched for purchase at TerribleInfluence.com.
11:10Terrible Influence is a satirical board game about the dark side of fame from the writer of the most popular
11:15girls in school and us, WatchMojo.
11:17Boom.
11:18I can make an apology video.
11:20Oh, you so would.
11:21Click on the link in the description to check out the game and be the first to play Terrible Influence.
11:26And lastly, various PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles.
11:47This may be cheating because we're talking about an entire platform here, but we can't ignore this one.
11:54After more than 20 years of service, the PlayStation 3 digital storefront will be getting its plug pulled in June
12:022027.
12:03Same with PlayStation Vita, but nobody bought a Vita, so who cares?
12:07We've known this was coming, though, since 2021, when Sony first tried shutting the storefront down and was met with
12:14waves of outrage.
12:15But what makes this closure a huge deal is just how many games are still stranded on the platform.
12:30Games like Tokyo Jungle, Starhawk, and 2012's Twisted Metal have not been brought forward under any capacity.
12:37Some of these were available on PlayStation Plus streaming services, but they have been pulled for a long time now.
12:44And then you have PlayStation 2 games, like Persona 3 FES, that haven't even been brought forward to any piece
12:51of hardware since the PS3 days.
12:54Between this and the all-digital future that Sony's pushing, we're not sure how much longer some of us will
12:59be in this ecosystem.
13:09Have you managed to play any of these games for yourself, or have you missed the boat?
