00:00Overall, some storms could be strong to severe this evening with damaging wind and hail into
00:04the nighttime hours, especially east of that area, into the Red River Valley of eastern
00:11North Dakota, South Dakota there, James River Valley there could see some scattered storms
00:15and then into western parts of Minnesota.
00:18So possibly severe for some.
00:20Tomorrow, the front makes a step east.
00:22We're going to have some showers and thunderstorms that roll through this area.
00:25Minneapolis, your best chance is in the morning.
00:27Then it's an afternoon event there into Green Bay, Wisconsin.
00:31Probably not too much widespread severe weather, but the severe threat escalates a little bit
00:35back onto the map here on Wednesday when we get into some kind of this clash between air
00:41masses.
00:41Very hot weather south into Kansas and this front drops in.
00:45So that's going to cause some trouble.
00:46So here we do have the thunderstorm risk area for severe weather from the western panhandle
00:53of Oklahoma through central Kansas into northern Missouri, southeast Iowa, western Illinois.
00:57Damaging thunderstorm winds and hail, all concerns.
01:00It'll be at some risk though, so it's not extremely elevated.
01:03It's just something to keep an eye on.
01:04Then Thursday, high pressure begins to nose back in here to the northwestern part of the
01:10region up into the northern plains.
01:11But this front will be making more progress southeastward into the Ohio Valley.
01:15And I mentioned the moisture surge north up into the northeast.
01:18So all that will lead to a pretty active Thursday.
01:20In fact, here's kind of the north-central-northeast combo for Thursday.
01:23The thunderstorm risk zone, Detroit, down into Charleston, Pittsburgh, other areas here
01:29just inland from the northeast seaboard.
01:32Some of the more numerous thunderstorms will be in this area here.
01:35Ohio, eastern Kentucky, into West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and onward.
01:40Warm and dry though into Minneapolis.
01:42And it's still hot there in Kansas City with a high of 93.
