00:00Good evening. An increasingly humid feel will push in from the south through this evening and overnight as a very
00:07warm night is approaching across more southern areas in particular.
00:11Further north, low pressure is in situ, bringing outbreaks of rain to parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland through the
00:16next few days in particular.
00:18A chance of showers further south. That area of low pressure pushes north and eastwards by Wednesday, sitting out to
00:24the north and east.
00:25But further rain is set to wrap around that and push into Scotland. So a wet few days for parts
00:30of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:32There will be outbreaks of rain across parts of Northern Ireland, some areas of Northern England and across the west
00:37in Wales, southwest England, a possibility of a few showers overnight.
00:41Some of these showers across more northern areas could be pretty heavy downpours, bringing some gusty winds, a risk of
00:47thunderstorms as well in there as well.
00:49For more central and eastern areas of England, it will be a dry and very warm and particularly humid night.
00:56I think it's going to feel quite humid across much of the UK, just away from the far northeast where
01:00we've got more of an easterly wind moving in here.
01:04So quite a muggy start to the day, but plenty of sunshine around across more eastern areas.
01:09It's actually going to be a hotter day across the east coast of England than today because the winds will
01:14be lighter.
01:14As we head further inland and towards the west, it's going to be fresher.
01:17That's because we're starting to pick up these southwesterly winds.
01:20So a windier day to come, showers across some western areas, but particularly across parts of Northern Ireland, we could
01:28see some impacts because of thunderstorms,
01:31especially where we've got any outdoor events occurring through Tuesday.
01:35Further north, the rain is more persistent for Scotland in particular.
01:38So far north of Scotland, we'll see some quite persistent rain, strong winds as well moving in from the east
01:44could exacerbate any issues from any rainfall.
01:47But a lot of this rainfall will be relatively welcome across the UK.
01:51It's just where it falls in a short space of time where it could bring some surface water issues.
01:56So a very warm day again, cooler than today, but still pretty warm.
02:01Temperatures in the low 20s for many towards the mid 20s as we approach more central and eastern areas, approaching
02:0830 degrees across the east coast.
02:10It's said a hotter day there tomorrow than today.
02:13Showers will continue for some areas throughout Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
02:18This wrap around around this area of low pressure continues to feed back into more northern areas of Scotland.
02:24So rainfall totals will start to build up across some northern and central areas of Scotland as we head towards
02:31Wednesday.
02:32A slightly fresher night.
02:33It's not going to feel quite as humid on Wednesday morning, but still quite a warm night to come with
02:38temperatures in the high teens.
02:40But there's going to be more of a breeze about more cloud and showers too.
02:45Again, predominantly across northern areas, but some of these showers could push into more eastern areas through Wednesday.
02:52I think there's a greater chance of seeing a shower across central and eastern areas through Wednesday than on Tuesday,
02:59for example.
03:00But the rain will be quite persistent.
03:01We've got a northerly wind as this wraps around this area of low pressure coming into parts of northern Scotland.
03:07So it's going to feel pretty cold, actually, a bit disappointing for the time of year across the north coast
03:12of Scotland, in particular, just 15 degrees here.
03:15Again, quite a lot of sunshine in between any showers across more central and eastern areas.
03:20So not too bad at all, but still pretty dry for central and eastern areas.
03:24It's further north and west where we're starting to see the focus of the rainfall through this week.
