00:06Well hello there folks and happy Sunday to you. It's lovely to see you all again and I hope that
00:12I find you very well indeed and thanks for coming over just to see what I've made again for the
00:18family dinners this week starting all the way back on Sunday through till today and today is
00:23actually my birthday so happy birthday to me 47 years young where do the years go I've got no
00:30idea but anyway on Monday as you can see we had fish cakes we haven't had fish cakes for a
00:37wee
00:37while and we really do like these and it just makes a nice change from the usual sort of fish
00:43and chips that we would have so I've got a wee side salad there so I've got lettuce there's grapes
00:48in
00:49there tomato balsamic glaze olive oil salt pepper and then we've got some coleslaw tartar sauce
00:56some homemade seasoned potato wedges which I just done in the air fryer and that's a cod and potato
01:02fish cake with a melt in the middle parsley sauce centre yeah just a lovely combination and ever so
01:10easy to make I mean the easiest thing in the world really and the hardest thing to make were the
01:14wedges
01:15which only take about 25 minutes and then moving on to Tuesday we had spaghetti we usually have
01:22bolognese in one form or another you know every week again it's just so easy to put together this
01:29one is made with the quorn mince which I really like for this kind of thing because there's loads of
01:34flavours going on the quorn mince just sort of takes on whatever you pair with and it's nice if you
01:40like
01:40to have a meat free day like we do so it's just the quorn mince my usual bolognese ingredients there's
01:46carrots there's onions mushrooms in there and I just mix that in with the spaghetti with a bit of
01:52cheese on the top and just a few slices of garlic bread on the side and then moving on to
01:59Wednesday
01:59again something I do most weeks is some kind of curry so this week I have done a beef curry
02:05and it's a
02:06sort of Indian inspired curry or Indian spices this I'm calling a beef madras but it's not really
02:13a beef madras because it's not overly spicy but it's a bit spicier than what we would normally
02:18have I like really hot spicy curries but I'm the only one that does so I don't make them overly
02:24spicy
02:24but I've got some brown basmati rice on the side and that's a lovely slow cooked Indian inspired
02:31beef curry there's a ton of coriander in there as well which I love or I think it's also called
02:37cilantro in other parts of the world with just some more coriander on the top just ever so simple
02:44again really easy to make because it's done in the slow cooker but lovely and tender
02:50now moving on to Thursday Mr. What's for tea's favourite ultra boring but yeah it's his favourite
02:56and it's macaroni cheese he prefers his macaroni cheese served straight from the pan you know
03:02without going into the oven but I did put this one in a wee dish with some extra grated cheese
03:08on
03:08the top and I just put it into the air fryer just to melt on the top so you get
03:13that nice you know
03:13cheesy string pull when you pull it out we've got some baked beans on the side and again just some
03:19homemade chips done in the air fryer lovely simple and again very very easy to make and then moving
03:27on to Friday you will have seen these if you watched my wee food shopping unbagging the other day
03:32these were the steak slices or it's just a very rich beef stew and puff pastry so it's a kind
03:38of pie
03:39but they're really really nice and really good value for money as well so I've got a wee jacket potato
03:45on
03:45the side some fried cabbage which I've added a bit of butter and white pepper to that's that steak slice
03:52and I made a quick and easy instant beef gravy just for the top just to take the dryness off
03:58of that
03:59jacket potato and add a wee bit of moisture to the pastry yet thoroughly enjoyed these and would
04:05definitely get these again you're never too sure with these kinds of things but yeah they were
04:09lovely and then moving on to yesterday which was valentine's day we had a very romantic we had
04:16a very romantic sausage casserole we didn't go out because we're actually going out tonight because
04:22it's my birthday so we weren't going to go out valentine's night as well and valentine's day as
04:27a rule isn't really something we've ever celebrated yeah because it's so close to my birthday so we just had
04:34a sausage casserole so we've got some baby new potatoes some sweet corn and butter and that's
04:41that lovely sausage casserole on the side I was meant to add mushrooms and peppers to the casserole
04:47and then realized I didn't actually have any so I've just put some carrots in there instead and again
04:52really really tasty very easy to make and perfect for a cold winter's night now moving on to today
04:59like I said it is my birthday have I mentioned that before it is my birthday so we are going
05:03out
05:04tonight so at the time of filming we haven't actually been out yet but I will be sure to get
05:09some footage and add that on to next week and I know I said that a couple of weeks ago
05:13went out to
05:14the carvery and I absolutely forgot to record anything but I will be sure to get footage of
05:20whatever we have tonight and add that on to next week's meals of the week and happy birthday to
