00:07well hello there folks and happy saturday to you i hope that i find you all very well indeed
00:13and thanks for coming over just to see what i've picked up for the family food shop this week
00:18and as you can see we've gone back to sainsbury's and if you're new here please consider subscribing
00:23just before you go i do these every week and i have done for about eight years now so it'd
00:28be
00:28lovely to see you back i'm cheryl and we are a wee family from the west coast of sunny scotland
00:35and i spent just over 63 pounds in sainsbury's and i picked up a few things from the local butcher
00:41as well just for a recipe that i've got coming up so as usual no particular order so i got
00:48this
00:48wee pie for mr what's for tea i'm just going to have a jacket potato one night so he will
00:53have this and
00:53this is just chicken creamy sauce and haggis in the pie for the recipe i needed four large chicken
01:00breasts so i got the chicken breast from the butcher i just think they're better from the butcher rather
01:05than supermarket chicken which really has no flavor or not much flavor i've got a swede as well and then
01:12a big bunch of bananas some kitchen roll because i was completely out i forgot to get it throughout the
01:18week so a couple of kitchen rolls as well and these ones were on offer you usually find one brand
01:24that is on offer and then some marmalade as well which i can't stand but mr what's for tea does
01:31like
01:31marmalade and then i got some of these wee gravy pots because i'm going to be doing a shepherd's pie
01:36and i'm using quorn mince so it doesn't produce its own gravy so you do need to add your own
01:41gravy
01:43and also for the recipe i got some coconut milk so this will be getting added as well and then
01:48we're having fish and chips so of course we're going to need tartar sauce and also mushy peas and
01:54then some parsley just for over the top of everything that you're going to see in the next couple of
01:59weeks and then also for the fish and chips a wee lemon and then i was completely out of onions
02:05as
02:05well so i got some onions and garlic which will also be added to the recipe i needed some broccoli
02:11i feel
02:12as though we haven't had tender stem broccoli for ages and then i got some of the half sugar
02:17as well this is the one that mr what's for tea likes i like the wee splendor you know the
02:22wee
02:22tablets i like those now i needed chinese five spice again i will be adding this to the recipe
02:28and some ground ginger as well a bag of potatoes because i'm just about out of potatoes and then some
02:36brown rice i've been having quite a lot of brown rice recently i'm preferring this over the
02:41white rice i think it's just got a nicer texture and then a couple of blocks of butter as well
02:47and
02:47then some penny pasta because again i was nearly out of penny pasta this was a substitution i'd ordered
02:54one of the small jars of turmeric they obviously didn't have any so they've given me this great big
02:59bag instead so this is going to last me for absolute years just for reference this is one of the
03:05wee jars
03:06here yeah there's some size difference but i will get through it eventually and then a couple of
03:11yogurts as well the larger pot yogurts there were none on offer this week so i just picked up the
03:17two
03:17favorites that first one there the black currant one is lovely i think it's quite a new flavor as well
03:23and then some bistro salad and then some cooked ham just for a roll or a sandwich during the week
03:30and
03:30this one is really nice it's got a really nice hammy flavor i know they should all have hammy flavors
03:35but they
03:35don't all have that nice ham flavor but that one does and then for the fish and chips just for
03:41a
03:41change for my usual frozen fish i thought i'd pick up the fresh fish instead and i thought that was
03:46a
03:47really good price and then we're also going to be having this fish as well this is just raw fish
03:52with
03:52a sort of creamy sauce and breadcrumbs and herbs on the top which will just get cooked in the oven
03:57and
03:58i think we'll probably just have mashed potatoes and peas at the side of that a big bag of corn
04:03mince
04:03i'm going to be doing a shepherd's pie or a corn a corn the cottage pie and also a lasagna
04:10as well and corn mince works really well in lasagna and obviously a shepherd's pie as well but like i
04:17was saying earlier it doesn't produce any gravy obviously because it's very dry and you add your
04:22onions and your carrots so you do need to make up your own gravy but it's going to work wonderful
04:27and the lasagna that i will be making so thank you so much for watching that's everything that
04:33we're going to need for the next week and a bit and a huge thank you as usual to the
04:37supporters of
