00:06Every year around this time, I end up buying a ton of Halloween makeup, and by the time
00:11November hits, I have absolutely zero use for it.
00:14So, in an effort to A, save money, and B, test myself creatively, I decided a challenge
00:21was in order.
00:22Today, rather than painting cat whiskers onto my face and skulls, I'm going to challenge
00:27myself to create a wearable look using Halloween products.
00:32I'm going to Rikki's NYC, aka the one-stop shop, for pretty much anything Halloween-related
00:38you could possibly need to pick up some paint, some glitters, some eyelashes, some fake blood,
00:44of course.
00:45And you are coming with me.

00:52Alright, let's go shopping.
01:02This one, which has a ton of, like, fun colors that I feel like will be challenging, I can
01:09figure out how to use these in ways that might look good and not scary.
01:16This is violet gloss glitter, one of my favorite kinds.
01:19There's so many options here, but I think I'm going to go with this pretty glittery pink
01:24one, another Halloween staple, fake blood.
01:33I'm back, and I've got all my goodies.
01:36This is so much better than trick-or-treating, especially if you lived in a neighborhood like
01:40I did where you got a lot of raisins and floss.
01:43So, I'm going to do this look, but first, I have to take off my eyeliner and my lipstick.
01:48Sad.
01:54Makeup off.
01:55Fresh face.
01:56Let's dive into the Halloween makeup.
01:58I think I'm going to start with contouring with this round cream makeup.
02:03I've never used it to contour before, obviously, so I'm going to open it up.
02:07It's very chocolatey brown.
02:12The texture is not ideal.
02:16Looks like this.
02:17So, I have a few tools here.
02:20I have some of these classic makeup sponges, brushes.
02:24I think I'm going to go in with a brush first.
02:26This is my contour brush.
02:27I'm going to dip into the product a little bit.
02:30I don't know how pigmented this is, so I'm going to like sweep it off.
02:32Yeah, this is very pigmented.
02:34So, I'm taking off a little bit of the excess.
02:36I definitely went in with a pretty heavy hand.
02:39I'm going to get my sponge.
02:40A little bit of water.
02:44Squeeze out the excess.
02:48And blend this out because it's very, very intense on this side.
02:54I'm going to continue blending because I really went overboard here.
02:57But I will say that I'm going to toot my own horn, but I think we're off to a relatively
03:03good start.
03:04I'm going to go into the cheeks.
03:06And I thought that it might be cool to use this vampire blood for it.
03:10Okay, it's very wet.
03:13It's dripping.
03:14Wow, it looks just like blood.
03:17I don't know how pigmented this is going to be.
03:19I'm just going to dot it.
03:22And then I'm going to tap my finger, my ring finger.
03:26Very sheer once it's blended out.
03:32Okay, it's patchy.
03:34It's really patchy on this side of my face because I didn't work fast enough with it.
03:38So, that's definitely a downside.
03:41Next up, eyes.
03:43And I got this really beautiful Ben Nye color wheel.
03:48It's in fireworks fantasy.
03:52I think I'm going to use this pink shade all over my lid with my fingers as well.
03:58I like to use my fingers with cream products like this.
04:02Oh, it's so beautiful.
04:04I'm going to use this brown shade, metallic brown shade in the crease of my eye in the outer corner
04:11just to give my eyes a little bit more definition.
04:16And while my creams are still setting on my eyes, I'm going to use this beautiful glitter from Violet Voss.
04:23It's in the shade Lily.
04:26Look how pretty that is.
04:29And I'm going to use a slightly damp brush and tap that just directly onto the center of my lid.
04:45Now that this top lid situation is done, I'm going to define my lower lash line with a little bit
04:53more of the Ben Nye color wheel.
04:55So, I'm going to go in with my brush, dip a little bit into the brown shade, and mix it
05:01with a bit of the pink shade.
05:07I haven't used this gigantic kit yet.
05:14There's this little cream palette of colors.
05:20It's not as smooth as I would have liked, but we're going to make it work.
05:32Not bad.
05:33It's really great for lining the eyes, not so great for precision work.
05:39So, this cat eye might not be... definitely won't be the best cat eye I've ever done.
05:44I'm going to do some lashes.
05:47And I have these.
05:49Because this is supposed to be a wearable look, I'm going to cut off the silver bits.
05:54And I'm left with this little strip.
05:57Oh my gosh, why is this so difficult?
06:02Ow.
06:03They're so long.
06:05This is like the opposite of a wearable look.
06:08If at first you don't succeed, try again.
06:12If you fail again, mix the eyelashes.
06:15And that is what I did.
06:16I'm going to move onto lips now.
06:18And I think I'm going to try to use these little crayons.
06:22I don't know if they're going to work.
06:24We'll see.
06:28So, this is the finished look.
06:33I gotta say, I don't hate it.
06:35I was actually really expecting to dislike pretty much all of this Halloween makeup.
06:42And I think that I was able to create a decent look with it.
06:47Like, maybe I should go around and see if people can tell.
06:50Okay.
06:51What are you doing with my eyeliner?
06:52I think it's fab.
06:54This is all Halloween makeup.

06:58I'm going to say Urban Decay for the eyes.

07:02I can definitely see that.

07:11This is all Halloween makeup.
07:12Stop.
07:13Yeah.
07:13Obviously, I had a little bit of trouble with the eyelashes.
07:17But overall, I give this look two thumbs up.
