00:03We're going to be showing you a couple of tips and tricks on how to make your makeup
00:07look absolutely amazing with a few everyday items you may have lying around the house.
00:12First up, we're actually going to start with our metal spoon, and it actually works well
00:16to not only create a cut crease, but I'm going to show you how it helps you get a longer
00:20lash look.
00:20Start with your mascara, clean off the excess, and what you're going to want to do is to
00:25have it right along the lash line, touching it a little bit, that way you can get as
00:30close as possible.
00:31I know I look silly right now, but it's actually super duper effective.
00:40Usually whenever you apply mascara, you tend to move the brush towards the ends, and thus
00:44you end up leaving your lashes looking a lot shorter because you're not getting to the
00:50root and pulling it all the way through.
00:52Next, I'm going to show you how to properly use a bottle cap.
00:54Don't put this side of the bottle cap on your eye.
00:58That can actually create micro tears.
01:00I'm just going to put my finger in the middle part, and then we're going to actually grab
01:03our shadow.
01:06So we're just patting on the product at first, so that way we know where our placement is.
01:12Now I'm just going back in and diffusing it with a softer, fluffy brush, and I'm just going
01:17to go on the other side and make sure they match.
01:23Super sonic cut crease with just a bottle cap.
01:26Now it's time to get started on the eyeliner.
01:28Regardless of what formula you use, getting the angle is usually the most difficult part.
01:34I'm going to actually coat this.
01:35This dental floss will act as a really great guide and reduces the likelihood that you end
01:41up with more of a giant, wide, Amy Winehouse cat eye than a more subtle kitten flick.
01:48And one thing to keep in mind whenever you're dealing with dental floss is to make sure that
01:52it's not flavored.
01:54We're just going to go on ahead and we're just going to press it once we have our angle.
01:59It's a little far out, but it gives us the right angle to work with to get that lined look.
02:07And just like your brows, your eyes need to be sisters, not twins.
02:14The final tool that we're going to use to complete the look is actually a baby toothbrush.
02:18If you like those super slick ponytails, you can just spritz it with a little bit of hair
02:23spray and just brush it along your part to take care of those little fine hairs.
