00:00Tropical Storm Bertha makes landfall today in southeastern Louisiana, but parts of the Gulf Coast are already seeing heavy rain,
00:06gusty winds, and storm surge.
00:07Now, while most of the strongest weather is on the southern side of the storm, rain bands are wrapping around
00:12the northern side into southeastern Louisiana, coastal Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.
00:17The biggest threat is going to be flash flooding, but Bertha will also bring 40 to 60 mph wind gusts
00:21and 1 to up to 5 feet of storm surge along parts of the Gulf Coast.
00:25Most areas from the Florida Panhandle to eastern Texas will see 1 to 2 inches of rain, but southeastern Louisiana
00:30could pick up 4 to 8 with isolated totals as high as 15 inches.
00:34We're also watching to see if Bertha develops a new center later today. If that happens, the heaviest rain could
00:39shift farther into Texas.
