00:04It's strengthening over the Gulf and is expected to bring flooding rain, gusty winds, storm surge,
00:09and dangerous rip currents from the Florida Panhandle west to Louisiana,
00:12with parts of Texas also potentially seeing impacts later this week.
00:16Now, the first impacts begin as early as Tuesday, but conditions are expected to worsen through Wednesday
00:20as Bertha approaches the central Gulf Coast.
00:22Most areas could see 1 to 4 inches of rain, but localized totals of 4 to 8 inches
00:26with isolated higher amounts could lead to flash flooding.
00:28Along the coast, Tropical Storm Force wind gusts of 40 to 60 miles per hour
00:32could bring down trees and power lines, while up to 5 feet of storm surge is possible in the hardest
00:36-hit areas,
00:37ultimately leading to an AccuWeather Real Impact Scale rating of less than 1, meaning expect some damage.
