Bernie Rayno takes a look at the areas where tropical development could occur later this week in the Gulf.
Transcript
00:00All is quiet in the tropical Atlantic for now, but we're going to keep an eye on the gulf as
00:07we head toward the upcoming weekend. Already lots of showers and thunderstorms across Central America. We're going to be watching
00:14that moisture come northward late this week and over the upcoming weekend it'll be drawn northward by a little dip
00:21in the jet stream coming across the parts of the Mid-South.
00:25That moisture will get into the gulf, the southwest gulf, as we head toward the end of the week. There
00:32is lower wind shear there. There is warm water. So if we get any development, that's the area to watch.
00:39I still think it's a low probability of doing so, but we're certainly going to keep an eye on it.
