00:06unhealthy air quality. The conditions are dangerous for people with respiratory issues. Why should we
00:12be concerned about fine particulate matter, as it's called? AHN's Dr. Tariq Chima explains.
00:18I'm describing this as there are particles in the air that are lingering. They are small enough that
00:24they are getting straight into your lungs. You breathe it in, it goes all the way down, and when
00:28it goes down, it's irritating the lungs, causing inflammation. Dr. Chima says going for a run or
00:32even a walk is dangerous, even for those who don't have breathing issues. The city of Pittsburgh has
00:39canceled outdoor programs because of the poor air quality. All city pools are closed today, for
00:44example. Allegheny County pools are closed, along with North and South Park golf courses. Deer Lakes
00:49Park closed, along with the PNC Carousel and Chenley Plaza. Also, the UPMC Stroke Survivor bike event was
00:56canceled. We may now know the source of the cyclosporiasis outbreak that has sickened thousands
01:04of people. It is linked to tainted lettuce at Taco Bell locations in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky,
01:10and West Virginia. Here's ABC's Hannah Bethaw. A source telling ABC News the FDA has identified
01:16a single supplier of the lettuce from Mexico. Taco Bell now voluntarily removing the lettuce,
01:21saying the affected ingredient from our supplier is being indefinitely removed from our supply chain
01:26nationwide and will be replaced within 24 hours in select states. That supplier is Taylor Farms.
01:32No product recalls have been issued for the company's grocery products at this time.
01:37Federal investigators have stepped up screening now at the U.S. border for Taylor Farms produce that's
01:43being imported. Yesterday, the Allegheny County Health Department confirmed one person has been
01:47hospitalized with cyclosporiasis. Earlier this week, the Health Department announced 11 confirmed
01:54cases, but there's no single food or exposure source that's been identified here yet. Governor
02:00Josh Shapiro says more state funding is helping to improve student outcomes in Pennsylvania schools.

02:09Paul, Governor Shapiro was at Gateway High School in Monroeville Thursday
02:13to highlight the new state budget, which includes $678 million in additional funding for public
02:20education. The increased investment represents a 35 percent increase in education investment since
02:28the day I took office. That's critically important. And the reason we do that is not just our constitutional
02:34obligation, but we believe all God's children deserve an opportunity for success.
02:39Shapiro says the funding includes increases for basic and special education, as well as adequacy

02:50A homestead man is facing federal charges accused of distributing child sexual abuse material.
02:55Swedish officials say 52-year-old Charles Beener is among a number of people arrested for distributing
03:01video files of men sexually abusing children, some less than six months old.
03:07Beener was arrested Wednesday. Prosecutors asked the judge to keep him in jail until trial.
03:12A hearing on that issue is set for next week. And a 52-year-old man is dead after a
03:17motorcycle
03:18accident last night on Mount Washington. It happened around 7.15 p.m. on P.J. McArdle Roadway when
03:24the man lost control of the motorcycle. Moises Santiago Rodriguez died at the scene.
