00:27PennDOT says the superload will leave the Armstrong Terminal in Shenley in about one hour on a route that takes
00:33it through Armstrong, Westmoreland, and Indiana counties, including parts of Leachburg, Apollo, Delmont, and Blairsville.
00:40The Federal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates today for the first time in three years.
00:45The Fed is reacting to rising inflation driven by higher fuel costs, especially diesel.
00:50It's about $2.50 a gallon more expensive than last year.

00:56The economy runs on diesel. Diesel accounts for about 30 million barrels a day of worldwide petroleum demand.
01:02And it is estimated over 70% of the freight in the U.S. is shipped by trucks, mostly powered

01:09Allegheny County's paid parental leave proposal is up for discussion today after drawing more than 1,000 public comments.

01:20Paul, the original proposal would require employers across Allegheny County to provide 18 weeks of paid leave for new parents.
01:27The Pittsburgh Business Times reports employees would qualify after 30 days on the job, regardless of the size of the

01:34The health department received more than 1,400 comments.
01:37Of the more than 1,250 written responses, 57% supported the proposal.
01:4317% supported it with changes.
01:47Small business owners raised concerns about the cost and finding workers to cover extended leave.
01:53The Board of Health is expected to discuss a modified version today.
01:58And if approved, it would still need county council approval before taking effect.

02:07Firefighters and River Rescue were called to a boat fire early today on the Allegheny River.
02:11The fire was reported around 1 a.m.
02:14First responders found the boat fully engulfed in flames between the Warhol and Carson Bridges.
02:19They extinguished the fire in about 15 minutes.
02:22And a short time later, the boat sank.
02:25A police review of video shows someone boarding and then leaving the boat before the flames broke out.
02:31Glassport Borough's new mayor was sworn in on Tuesday.
02:34It's Anthony Kolecki who's replacing Keith DeMarco.
02:38DeMarco stepped down after police said his stepdaughter found a camera hidden in the bathroom of their home.
02:43Defense attorney Sean Logue told KDKA-TV DeMarco is in the Allegheny County Jail again
02:48after violating a protection from abuse order a third time over the weekend.
02:52I'm told that there was an accidental butt dial of the protected party.
