00:00:03Welcome back to Snetterton conditions for the final BSB race of the weekend as good if not

00:00:10better than they have been for the last few days here is perfectly set here for a cracking third

00:00:16race after a controversial second race which saw a battle at the front between Kyle ride Brad Ray

00:00:22obviously Scott Redding out ahead of them we've had a little time to digest that and reflect on

00:00:27obviously Kyle was given a penalty for it James what are your thoughts it was one of those ones

00:00:33you could see that kind of going either way you could see it not being a penalty you see being

00:00:36a

00:00:37penalty they've given it this is the move he's come underneath him he's got down the straight

00:00:42obviously he hasn't quite got the top speed he leaves a little bit of a door open which allows

00:00:48him to go to the inside and then you see Kyle moves a little bit across here and that's the

00:00:53bit that

00:00:53they didn't like and uh he was breaking as hard as he can Kyle I'd like to kind of you

00:00:59know he's not

00:01:00a dirty rider they're great friends it's not like he meant to to take him down he didn't and you

00:01:05can

00:01:05see Brad being done equally I've had it sometimes where riders have come across you you're hard on

00:01:10the brakes there's nothing you do there's a little clip and unfortunately you know it's ended in

00:01:14catastrophe for um for Bradley Road but um it wasn't a kind of malicious move it but it ultimately

00:01:22him moving back across calls that little touch the organizers felt that he deserved a penalty

00:01:27and in the scheme of things it was one position it was two points so for him it's not been

00:01:32the end of

00:01:33the world not the end of the world but still big points lost for Brad Ray which is exactly what

00:01:37he

00:01:37didn't need on a weekend where he has a big opportunity Danny to make up ground on Kyle in the

00:01:42championship yeah and he's been riding the wheels off at Yamaha this weekend you know in that first race

00:01:47um yesterday he was pushing that bike to the limit and I think he just got a bit unlucky with

00:01:51that

00:01:52move I think you know you know what it's like as well when you're around different riders at different

00:01:55times of the track like you know Kyle wanted a little bit more engine brake at that point and

00:01:59Brad anticipated him to go further forward and didn't quite that guys are on the limit you know

00:02:04what I mean all the time and you know he come up a little bit shorter and that's what the

00:02:08end the

00:02:08end result is you know what I mean like as you said they're great friends they don't they're not

00:02:11maliciously out there they're out there to win they're not maliciously doing moves for each other to be

00:02:15to be out of order so again sort of the way even you turn in on the two bikes is

00:02:19slightly different

00:02:20so kind of again Kyle just maybe having a slightly different apex to the way that that Brad went

00:02:25through come on shaky come on shaky let's have it let's talk about save the best till last time

00:02:31Stuart Higgs took me up into uh into race direction actually and he showed me some of the views that

00:02:35uh

00:02:35that he has of the actual incident and uh the problem as you as you rightly said you know it

00:02:39wasn't uh

00:02:40it wasn't a malicious move but Kyle wasn't quite in front uh when he started moving across and

00:02:45when Stuart plays it to you on on slow motion and shows how you know uh Kyle's bike wasn't actually

00:02:51clearly in front of Bradley's before he'd already started moving over you think to yourself yeah

00:02:55no do you know what fair play I get it but we got the view that obviously the viewers have

00:02:59seen and

00:02:59and from that view we're all like oh I don't know is this is it that the other but

00:03:03you know the bottom line is it didn't cost Kyle cost Bradley dearly um and yeah Bradley's not

00:03:10overly made up with life I'm not going to lie but um he's keen to get out and try and

00:03:13make amends in

00:03:14this last race well he's lining up on the front row of the grid and all of that kind of

00:03:17overshadowed a

00:03:17little bit the performance from Scott Redding which was absolutely supreme at the front yeah uh

00:03:22shaky went from pole position which he's going to do in race three as well he is the man to

00:03:25beat

00:03:25this afternoon he is and they got a trick new color on that Ducati I don't know if you noticed

00:03:29they put

00:03:29like a matte red on it now and it looks so good looks a little bit like the MotoGP bikes

00:03:33I think

00:03:33it's the first time that they've run this color and Jordan's fuming now because uh she didn't want

00:03:37to run it but um now he's one with it I'm sure they're going to stick with it but Scott

00:03:41always

00:03:41improves as the weekend goes on doesn't he you know he's very methodical you know free practice

00:03:45you don't see him topping time sheets very often but uh he's putting in the work on race tires and

00:03:49making sure that the bike he's got underneath him for Sunday afternoon is the bike that he needs to win

00:03:52races and uh certainly got that done this morning and he'll be hoping to do the same as we go

00:03:56out now

00:03:57yeah I mean there's no two ways of bad he was so impressive in you know today's earlier race

00:04:01because he was under pressure the whole way and he just did his thing and he eat it out hit

00:04:06his marks

00:04:06and um he looks he looks very difficult to beat he does but that's the challenge for the rest of

00:04:12the

00:04:12riders behind him on the grid as you can see it's uh pretty busy uh behind us here so uh

00:04:18let's get

00:04:18amongst it with James quite busy and back on row three I thought it was worth coming back uh

00:04:23to have a word with Joe Talbot because you've got a fifth and a seat you're having a good weekend

00:04:27I

00:04:28know you're always angry with yourself for some reason but actually great weekend mate yeah so

00:04:33far so good this is always the hardest race I reckon just the longest race so see how we can

00:04:39do the

00:04:40consistency is key in this one um just trying to get my riding style a little bit better try and

00:04:45save

00:04:46the tire a little bit better and stuff like that so see what I can learn carry on learning get

00:04:50a good

00:04:51start that's the main thing and then go from there yeah you seem if you can get a good start

00:04:54you seem to be a stay with whoever you get with and he's I guess you're learning from them the

00:04:59whole

00:04:59time how to ride these super bikes yeah exactly when you're in good company you start riding better

00:05:04and whatnot so first point of call is get a start night date well dial good luck Joe cheers mate

00:05:14uh Joe Joe's this is his first season in super bike he's with a brilliant team uh agent steel stocks

00:05:22fs3 they're on a brilliant bike that the motor is just beautiful it really suits this place

00:05:27but actually he's still learning and a fifth and a sixth this weekend however he got on it's a little

00:05:32bit lucky in the first one uh because a little bit of a restriction rate but I tell you what

00:05:36that is

00:05:36that's pretty fair in your first few uh super super bike rounds now we are hearing storm stays

00:05:45still in the pits he's had a few issues mechanically and he's been out of both races you know he's

00:05:51starting from the back of the grid unfortunate for him because storm and the team have put together

00:05:55that when it's going he's really competitive and we thought we're going to be right the front so

00:06:00definitely unlucky to stop right so right inside of the front row where he needs to be this is bad

00:06:07ray uh right uh you've got to go again and we know you're not going to be happy with what

00:06:12happened

00:06:13we're not going into that but you're going to be fast enough and you're going to be the man to

00:06:16beat

00:06:17but you're not going to be on your own again are you no that's it um looks like it's the

00:06:21four of us

00:06:22again um that race was shaken up to be quite good so at least we've got one more chance to

00:06:26uh try and

00:06:27fight for the victory in this one the only unfortunate thing is championship wise you

00:06:31needed to to take the points i guess because you're not going to have your own way everywhere

00:06:35so quite disappointing but at least you get another go that's it mate yeah still early on in the

00:06:40championship i mean we're just focusing race by race at the minute we know what can happen in

00:06:44championships um so yeah we'll just keep doing what we're doing still better than normal job gives

00:06:48a little smile all right cheers right sorry middle of the front row i think we've got a couple of

00:06:55and it's left uh maxco we've got to talk to front round with another one of the uh fs3 ajn

00:07:02stocks bemota members i've got it all out i think correctly uh going really well you're having a

00:07:07cracking weekend mate you've got that's impossible to stop smile that just kind of on its own keeps

00:07:13coming back great to see me yeah thank you it's uh been a mega weekend i think uh i had

00:07:18good hopes coming

00:07:19here the the bike really likes this sort of gp style tracks and that's what you know snetterton is

00:07:23and um no just been mega the whole time you've been telling nick extra time where you're already quick

00:07:30in my opinion i agree with that yeah and i pay the price for that in the last couple of

00:07:33laps of that

00:07:34in that sprint race so yeah just got to keep calm i think uh i think it's my prediction is

00:07:39going to be

00:07:39four of us in the group um we'll just manage it best we can we've had a good weekend up

00:07:43to now so

00:07:43you know finish it off in a good way look max thank you right just a minute left got to

00:07:47speak

00:07:47just got ready absolutely fantastic last time out and shaky got it exactly right he says scott doesn't

00:07:55rush at things doesn't need to be quick he stole the week through qualifying feels no pressure more

00:08:00important to get the bikes up and gets quicker and quicker as the weekend goes on i'd agree with that

00:08:04yeah couldn't have said it better myself mate shake is quite eloquent in effort for a ways yeah no he's

00:08:09a good man a lot of experience and he knows what he's talking about for sure i mean all you

00:08:13guys that

00:08:13commentate their ex-racers you understand from our perspective so it's always good but racing is

00:08:18racing anything can happen quite surprised you said you made a couple mistakes last time out it didn't

00:08:36make them so it's just trying to just fine tune to be perfect if i can it's never going to

00:08:46by the sale for this purpose this is a long race i think he's going to be saying four or

00:08:50five at the

00:08:50front well we've certainly got four races at the front of the pack here at this old military

00:08:58airfield which one of them though will be crowned the champion here the race of aces is on

00:09:05bsp race three on a big weekend for england is coming up next

00:09:13it's race three at snetterton round four of 2026 in british super bikes lots of talking points after

00:09:21the drama of this afternoon's race and what happened into this corner ritchie's and a bit more drama to

00:09:27come here storm stacy whatever they had wrong with the bike he's going to start the warm-up lap he

00:09:31will

00:09:31have to start the race from the back of the grid yeah which is really disappointing although they've

00:09:35not a finish yet they've had really really good pace yeah they have they've been put to the test

00:09:40this weekend yeah the guys in that garage yes they have they deserve more because i i agree storm has

00:09:45had some good speed just quickly on leon haslam as well he was receiving treatment after that crash

00:09:51earlier on he's out there we're going to pick up on him at some point shortly you'll see the motor

00:09:56rapido to catty man out there he's made a tough stuff isn't he is leon haslam these are the graphics

00:10:02for the standings it's kyle wright 15 up on scott reading run out of the last race bradway then

00:10:08having gone down into turn one 57 points adrift before he heads home to brand's hatch in a fortnight

00:10:14haslam his first dnf of the season he's four and just what 11 points up on max cook who was

00:10:21on the

00:10:21podium looking for his first win in british superbike so worthy mention there for roy skinner as

00:10:25well from 19th on the grid earlier he came through to finish in fourth reading cook and ray

00:10:30are on row one here for snetterton race three all right heads row two storm stacy will not take

00:10:39place fifth on the grid he'll have to start from the back ryan vickers some issues earlier for him

00:10:44as he got caught up but he went back out got a lap to put himself six skinner this time

00:10:48gets to go

00:10:49from the seventh ahead of isn't and talbot who's had a solid weekend the rookie and so halloran kent

00:10:55and leon haslam 10th 11th and 12th fraser rogers mcmanus and reese irwin have all been battling this

00:11:01weekend for points likewise brooks jackson and graham irwin as well braden elliott on row seven ahead of

00:11:08ilya mikkelchik who was involved in that incident earlier and richard kerr best wishes to all those who

00:11:13have picked up injuries over the course of the weekend charlie nesbitt who says he'll be back at

00:11:17brands hopefully we'll see glenn back soon as well as we now get ready then for 16 laps

00:11:26around snetterton tough one to call again james yes it is i think uh the major players from the last

00:11:31two races are going to be up front uh i think max cook uh thought he made a uh some

00:11:37small mistakes he

00:11:38rushed in he tried to make time up where he was already quick that always causes issues but he try

00:11:43and do it but i think the same major players i don't think anybody's getting away as well as uh

00:11:4818 precious points for the championship on offer to the victor there is the trophy of the quattro group

00:11:54race of aces that will be awarded at the end of this scott redding at the moment in charge of

00:11:57that he's

00:11:58six points up on kyle ryde and we'll get the abacus out later for that one eyes on the lights

00:12:05then ready for

00:12:06race three just keeping an eye on storm stacy actually towards the back of the grid he's a hard

00:12:12charger max cook cook it is though that's going to get the whole shot from scott redding friendly

00:12:17right up into third ryan dickers as well if we could start from here on home soil he goes up

00:12:22into

00:12:22fourth busy into turn two we hold our breath through here yeah and that is brad and kyle ryde right

00:12:29together on track again yeah lots that's been talked about during that incident and i think

00:12:36that will rumble on all the way through to brands i think it will all i'd say is the only

00:12:39i only saw

00:12:40one angle they've got a lot more than everybody's control like we said but at the bottom line is

00:12:45neither of them are dangerous riders they are very respectful no i agree with that completely

00:12:51bit wide there but danny kent and likewise brilliant micklechick as well there is ryan vickers he's just up

00:12:57into fifth following on from that decent start christian idden on the senkat yamaha behind him

00:13:02he's actually had some decent speed this weekend despite the flu yes he has one major blow up the

00:13:08bike through a rod i saw the pictures from the team and it was a proper blow was that uh

00:13:14but great last

00:13:15time out max cook then it is that leads on the aj and still stopped in motor onto the bentley

00:13:20straight

00:13:20and now on the approach to brundle yeah pretty relatively inexperienced rider at this class just

00:13:26reaching his way to the front max is very happy to lead we saw that donington led for sort of

00:13:32three

00:13:32uh quarters of the race and so he's happy to do this and he can set the pace look and

00:13:37we know he can

00:13:37save pretty quick he doesn't need a lot of time to build up yeah but he didn't get hot and

00:13:42bothered

00:13:42about the mechanical yesterday either don't get hot and bothered about anything it doesn't seem so

00:13:49it's joe talbot as well it's a great weekend he's had great weekend yeah over the line it's a complete

00:13:58it's another lap here it's 51.6 from the standing start for max cook ahead of scott redding and bradley

00:14:05ray neon has that they're making a move on eugene mcmanis yeah well uh max up in qualifying was it

00:14:12but

00:14:12put uh 46 in almost at will and actually really early on one out back and then back so we'll

00:14:18see

00:14:18this next lap vickers here getting close to his uh old teammate car ride on the honda continuing to do

00:14:26a sterling job on that yeah absolutely agree with that steve he couldn't do any more on the bike he's

00:14:31got i don't think at the time you're on a bike that people see as uh not uh the most

00:14:38competitive for

00:14:39whatever reason he's chatter in there kids right i'm not i'm not saying anything about the blade it's

00:14:43a beautiful bike however people know how hard vickers is riding you can see and that's not a

00:14:49bad place to be i was quite like being the underdog yeah well he's certainly that and he's broken any

00:14:54honda lap record around snedson yeah that's for sure it's just the game's moved on up ahead

00:14:59the bar's just been raised has it ah it was a really really solid weekend yes it was before that

00:15:05his first 10th uh top 10 earlier on listen the lads learning right absolutely it's going to happen

00:15:10isn't it yeah under the bridge into brundle now into nelson court if when you get chance side on shot

00:15:17just look at the lean angle of max cup this is his style faves a little bit more lean angle

00:15:23he leaves

00:15:24the bike with him he doesn't get the body too far off and it and it's just you can tell

00:15:30that max

00:15:32loves the way that bike with really stiff chassis especially on the smoother corners he can just

00:15:37make it turn yeah well we said at the start of the year he's got great grand prix pedigree he

00:15:41likes

00:15:41the sort of stiffer bike anyway i actually think this bike really a lot of things have come together

00:15:45this year uh for fs3 agent seal stocks promoter and max is one of them and the bike is the

00:15:51other

00:15:51and that's not a bad second lap of the race either of 46.8 uh six yeah i thought that

00:15:57would happen

00:15:59what he needs to do now is just not panic hit his marks not good deal pluses sometimes you can

00:16:05get

00:16:05out front you know people are behind you and you can especially when he's inexperienced at running at

00:16:09the front you can just panic a little bit storm states he's up to 13th from the back of the

00:16:15grid

00:16:15on the baythams h-a-n ducati you can just see him at the top of the picture closing in

00:16:21on one of the

00:16:22dow racing riders around to agostini's there is skinner and o'halloran eighth and ninth

00:16:32again cheshire moldings yamaha and honda just looking to find their feet yeah the start of this year

00:16:46leeson heller and the australian yeah multiple winner around snetterton as well he's got a decent

00:16:51record here funnily enough on the honda as well back in the the days when the honda was slightly newer

00:16:55shall we say yeah some of uh some of the the races we saw when he was on the the

00:17:00fireblade uh super stock

00:17:01bike which wasn't the bike of choice at that class at that time for spectacular places like throoks and the

00:17:06faster circus was spectacular there is storm yep currently up behind josh brooks he's in 30th place

00:17:14meanwhile oh that's storm that is still who's gone down trying to make up for lost time and

00:17:22it's just a disappointing weekend all round isn't it yeah for the team stay down

00:17:26getting ready that that is unlike him he's a really really safe rider

00:17:32he's about to say purple sectors for brad ray a 46 520 for brad as he starts to reel in

00:17:39scott

00:17:40reading yeah and actually the previous race before he went down i was surprised at how brad was able

00:17:46to make the single move passes i didn't think the amount will be good enough out the corners to put

00:17:51him in a position to do that but it did seem like he could i'm keen to see ryan vickers

00:17:55around corum

00:17:56because at no point this weekend has he been consistently in the 46s like he is now no i think

00:18:02they made something this looks like the storms yeah he's already gone so

00:18:10probably a front end turning in i think

00:18:14area leaders just on this lap maybe a bike length pulled in from scott reading on max cook but they're

00:18:21all there yeah max cook not stretching them obviously you have a go doing that if you can get

00:18:25your lapboard to say that you're pulling away plus one whatever uh absolutely brilliant if you can't

00:18:30you've just got to sort of batten down the hatches and wait for whatever's coming and try and be accurate

00:18:36so cook leads on the promoter looking for his first win in bsp from reading it's been sharp certainly as

00:18:43the weekend goes on then it's brad ray all right we've got yeah we've got a situation here where

00:18:48kyle is a safe rider is a respectful rider he took the consequences and the penalty

00:18:54with good grace but now he's in a similar position when he's got to get past

00:18:59you know and he's got to make that clean now yep

00:19:05just watching here here we go what have we seen oh look at that that's seized the bike seized

00:19:12there's something going on there yep and i tell you what when you lose the rear going

00:19:16in there there's absolutely nothing you can do nothing you can do

00:19:23yeah car ride ordinarily on any other day may well have shown his front wheel to brad but the

00:19:29incident earlier you've got you've got to be careful yeah he's going for it now though into

00:19:34turn two and ryan vickers fancies a bite of that too wow what a move that was from ryan opportunist

00:19:41should we say it was opportunist but actually it was clean enough they did say if all the cards fell

00:19:48right and they could just get that fight handling the way ryan wants it you heard him on the grid

00:19:51earlier

00:19:52he said that you know it's nearly all there the balance of the bike is fine the problem when you

00:19:56child we have child with him in the garage the problem is the bike is not terrible it's quite

00:20:00good everywhere he's got one terrible uh place on the track with chatter that's corums makes a lot

00:20:06of difference for a lap time but he doesn't want to ruin it anywhere else and just get it right

00:20:10there

00:20:11this to move up into the hairpin and it yeah i mean the move kyle on brad ray was clean

00:20:19but i don't

00:20:19think brad would have expected uh ryan to be towing through as well yeah you see brad just had to

00:20:28sit up a little bit there clever stuff from ryan he's up into fourth and he's in this he is

00:20:34in this

00:20:34fight for the win he is what a ride this is from vickers on home term however they've done they

00:20:39found

00:20:39something i'd like to get a shot of it round corums yeah this is the bommel this is the corner

00:20:45where

00:20:45he's the one yeah this is where he's really struggled let's have a look it's still a bit

00:20:49there yeah he's still going he's shattered right i don't know what to say because honestly as an ex

00:20:57rider i've had chatter it's awful you sat on the bike for for that second when it was chattering there

00:21:02you're just waiting to crash and thinking you're going to crash but obviously he's getting used to it

00:21:06he can control and it's not even costing him that much time now well they thought it was going to

00:21:11be just a battle of four at the front they did not expect the honda to be thrown into the

00:21:15mix

00:21:15i don't think honda expected the honda he's going for scott ready makes his move now and that's really

00:21:22wide they're all right yeah and now car ride might get a chance of leading they're side by side now

00:21:27reading and ride car ride the championship leader leads and as a result they all went wide vickers has now

00:21:33gone up into a podium position in third cook has gone from leading back to four yeah with a little

00:21:38help from scott rain i think scott went deep he went underneath max and then jules couldn't stop it on

00:21:43time and that caused a little bit of mayhem there let's have a look scott cuts to the inside goes

00:21:49up

00:21:49inside can he get it stopped no he can't man that was all right yeah that was all that was

00:21:55more max's

00:21:56problem wasn't it i'm starting to get a bit excited about how this race is shaping up yeah

00:22:02this is hard to call we're on lap six of 16 and i'm also keeping an eye on that second

00:22:09group because

00:22:09they're only a second and a half behind and they're laughing pretty well idon skinner talbot haslam

00:22:16in fact leon haslam on that last lap quicker than anyone in front of him by some distance

00:22:23yeah they're not far over there no and if this this lot really start to do yeah we could have

00:22:29a

00:22:2910-way scrap he says with his fingers crossed to the corum curve look at kyle now he's been able

00:22:37to

00:22:37stretch his legs a bit out front on this lap alone he's described himself a couple of bike links over

00:22:42scott reading max hook's gonna find it difficult to get back past round vickers because the honda is

00:22:48quick on has got legs kyle here is sensing an opportunity a rare one that i don't think at the

00:22:54start of the weekend they thought they'd have he's not at any point this weekend look like he's had

00:23:00everything together to win it's sort of almost felt like damage limitation few podiums will go he's a

00:23:06big picture man we've seen that he was not going to panic he generally drags something out of his bad

00:23:11weekend which is what he's uh he's running two championships he's just done the fastest lap he's

00:23:16ever done around snetterton as well a 46 558 for kyle ryde yeah the team never stopped working he never

00:23:23stops thinking about what's happening they'll make small tweaks they're not going to make big changes

00:23:27because the bike wasn't uncompetitive you know he couldn't afford to do that so it looks good now

00:23:33team bosses on the left there david williamson paul coward in the nitrous coin not just competitions

00:23:39ducati jordan and frank jr looking on for pbm and scott redding and then you've got scott hargreaves

00:23:45there looking on at ryan which is a bit lonely someone gives scott a cuddle they'll be really happy

00:23:53with what they're riding yes he will honestly but it would be for this you don't have to do they

00:23:58know

00:23:58how hard is riding outstanding job from him yes it is in fourth is max cook brad just in fit

00:24:07at the

00:24:07moment with the most work to do with the package underneath him in the background there rory skinner

00:24:12it is that's now gone into sixth place on the cheshire moldings yamaha and he's breaking away

00:24:16from christianism i'm really impressed with rory skinner he was so upset after not kill even more

00:24:23upset with what happened here yesterday as well and starting from 19th on the grid to fourth he's

00:24:29earned a bad weekend on his head yeah into something worth having hasn't he you know you see him when

00:24:34he's

00:24:34having a bad time and he's had some terrible times through no fault of his own we know how good

00:24:38he is

00:24:39and how talented this man is but when you see rory in the paddock when he's out of bad time

00:24:43you can

00:24:44tell you can just tell his head's down yeah he wouldn't be a very good poker player at all

00:24:48agreed

00:24:54kyle ryde has put together some amazing laps here to just keep himself a good half a second ahead of

00:25:03the rest of

00:25:03the field the purple sector in sector one last time around for the championship leader

00:25:09and all the ammunition that scott redding has got he might have to use shortly

00:25:19championships from being ultra consistent and finishing races you don't do that if you try too

00:25:23hard on a bike that you don't feel can just about win if he gets that bike at any point

00:25:29in the weekend

00:25:30he's going to do this so it's now 71 races consecutively i'm going to stop talking about

00:25:37because that is so astounding i cannot express how difficult way impossible for most races at this

00:25:44level honestly christian is the number 21 there on the same cat racing yamaha ahead of leon haslam who

00:25:51was carried off on a stretcher so leon isn't it absolutely off on a stretcher and then back to

00:25:56business again and now moving up into seventh place we've got the rookie talbot joining in the

00:26:03barn and o'halloran just uh talbot is a rookie to this class it's his third man in shot you've

00:26:09just seen

00:26:09on the uh on the second promoter he is in a position now he's learning all the time so he

00:26:14needs to get a

00:26:15start which he has done every single race this weekend but once he's with somebody he can learn

00:26:19from him and stick with him this is he's good meeting for joe yeah it really is

00:26:31side by side elbow to elbow bridging hidden master versus apprentice here yeah and they're good mates

00:26:40well out front oh you can't do that it's going to cost him time see the little look from brad

00:26:48brad says

00:26:53these guys just being cut to drift they're all being asked big questions by kyle ryde yes they are out

00:26:58front this is phenomenal stuff a 46 485 last time around from kyle ryde what was the fastest lap the

00:27:05lap

00:27:06record reduced to in the period that's the new lap record right perfect right there i thought it was

00:27:10about right the start of the weekend kyle and the team just looked a bit flustered they looked on the

00:27:18back foot they've been working very hard and getting quicker and quicker i remember you saying you've been

00:27:22a day longer than me you said i've never seen a kyle as animated in the garages what he has

00:27:28as he was on

00:27:29friday yeah yeah and then they've worked so hard to make this bike a race for this is the moment

00:27:36where

00:27:36cook almost goes into the back of the problem there is max cook is really good into the corners that

00:27:41bike

00:27:41is that promote is so good on the front end you can turn it while you break with the front

00:27:45uh wheel uh

00:27:46the front brake and the the problem is he's trying to nick time at that point of every corner uh

00:27:53and when

00:27:53you're nearly at the back you've got to sit up you don't want to clip anybody obviously uh because

00:27:57you're going to go down it's always the the the back wheel always best the front wheel in those

00:28:02situations so yeah it's uh you have to back out of that when it's definitely cost him time in one

00:28:07position i've had to start that tenant car ride is checking out yeah he is a new lap record and

00:28:13another new lap record the 46.404 from kyle yeah who i remind you has never won a race at

00:28:22snettleton in british super bikes we've seen him winning circus he's never won it before in the

00:28:26past he always hated cadwell and he's a winner there now this is now the battle for the remaining

00:28:33podium position brian vickers i'll tell you what if brian vickers can nick a podium this weekend on a bike

00:28:39that i wouldn't even have done a lap on without crashing that's some effort it is it's an outstanding

00:28:47effort because i think all of us james bearing in mind most of our crews made up of x riders

00:28:53like

00:28:54yourself if we were all predicting at the start of this race we would have had ride in reading of

00:28:59course we would we would have had ryan cook in on talent alone yes we'd have vickers but based on

00:29:05the

00:29:05weekend based on what we're seeing through quorum curve where the bike's chattering his brains out

00:29:10no no why would we have ryan vickers in the podium yeah big boy it's quite bumpy now going into

00:29:16richie's

00:29:17turn one uh they do a lot of car testing like i said before here and that affects uh when

00:29:23they break

00:29:23in lots and lots of grip from these cars some of them with uh big white tires and it pushes

00:29:28the

00:29:28time i've got over time doesn't do it quickly but it's definitely rippled in their riches for vickers to

00:29:34hold on to third he's got to try and fend off the smitherton supremo that is brad ray yeah he

00:29:40has

00:29:40but he's got a i would say a slightly quicker bike there won't be a lawyer

00:29:46better quite as bad through quorum did it better they've obviously made changes didn't have a lot

00:29:52to lose in my opinion so yeah he's better kyle's going to put in another mid to low

00:29:58four to six here over the line we go four to six four nine five the second fastest lap we've

00:30:03ever

00:30:04seen yeah every single lap is underneath the existing record yeah incredible

00:30:15lap 11 of 16. after what happened earlier kyle of course came into park ferme he didn't think he'd

00:30:23done anything wrong he was quite surprised by it he said if i if i feel if i had then

00:30:27i'm i'm sorry i

00:30:28thought he spoke beautifully he couldn't put anybody he couldn't have been any better with it just i'll

00:30:33take the penalty i didn't know what i've done so i didn't even know that as you can imagine james

00:30:38around those garages just after that but you know the dust was hadn't settled yet there was not just

00:30:44not him but around him oh my god graham around him there's obviously a lot of talking going on there's

00:30:51us with microphones other and yet kyle still goes out still performs still does his business

00:30:57it's all he can do now best way to answer he took it on the chin we didn't see the

00:31:03most telling

00:31:04angles apparently so you know yeah down and out unfortunately there for graham irwin who was just

00:31:13up ahead of reset with that particular time we're on lap 11 of 16 of the things that we didn't

00:31:18expect to

00:31:19see i didn't expect to see coral ride romping off into the distance we didn't expect to see ryan

00:31:23because holding on to a podium yeah yeah yeah on home turf he's born and raised in setford yeah but

00:31:31just down the road home turf but even still any more riding than anybody else at this circuit so

00:31:39it generally means you've got more family there and a bit more pressure from him

00:31:43he is coming under pressure now though right in his slipstream here it's bradley ray and max cook as

00:31:48well he's getting a double slipstream down the center straight on the approach to ritchie's corner

00:31:53again bike moving around absolutely but he's bumpy there you do get a little bit of chatter there over the

00:31:58bumps

00:32:01only rider in the 146s at the moment is your race leader kyle ride everyone else in the 47s

00:32:08should just say as well it's quite muggy outside it's quite hot still track temperature the highest

00:32:13it's been any other part of the day but whatever they've done setup wise for kyle they've just put

00:32:20it together perfectly at the end of the weekend i don't think even he expected to win a race here

00:32:24this weekend no i'd agree

00:32:31that's cook just getting cut to drift slightly on this lap yeah he is

00:32:36brad ray there still hovering all over the tail of ryan vickers because knows that in the closing

00:32:42stages he will have a go there's right then there's reading

00:32:51he's three battling for the podium good distance ahead of skinner and hasland as well he's really

00:32:56going to have a look here

00:33:01it's going to be difficult for him it might just be another so take getting past over two corners like

00:33:07trying to get past into a minute really clean move into the chicane didn't he

00:33:14yeah he's it's sort of from here onward to where he just builds yeah and puts himself on the outside

00:33:20line that that puts him he's having a little bit of a look here i think the line that ryan

00:33:25takes

00:33:25though almost prevents him yeah he's a little bit wide he didn't just before he tipped into that last bit

00:33:30of quorums are they closing in on scott redding let's have a look at the lap times as we come

00:33:34across

00:33:34the line 13 of 16. no no it's the answer to that question

00:33:42black times dropping into the 47s now oh really hitting the bumps hard there was because this

00:33:47should be the other place where yeah this should be the other place where brad might just have a

00:33:51little bit of a look he's wide he's wide that'll work yeah through goes bradley ray just struggle to

00:33:58get the bike stopped there into the hairpin and you know what if you've got front end issues and you're

00:34:02trying to balance the brakes and the lean angle and you're pushing on as hard as ryan he's it's

00:34:08difficult to run this length for race without making a mistake

00:34:17out of the hairpin here ryan vickers one thing is for certain fourth place would still be a valiant

00:34:22effort absolutely yeah yeah given he's not part of the championship picture he's at home i think he might

00:34:27have a go at this i think he's a little bit less to lose than the people around him i

00:34:31think yeah and

00:34:32he's that type of rider to be honest which we like absolutely leon haslam as well a great fight back

00:34:39from him from 12th on the grid up to sixth ahead of rory skinner keep his nose in that hunt

00:34:46for the top

00:34:46three in the championship outright we are on course for three different winners here this weekend that's

00:34:52not happened so far this season happened last in october of last season

00:35:04it's in part the last time that happened brooks ray and reading looks at the moment like it's going to

00:35:09be

00:35:10ride reading and who on the podium bradley ray from ryan vickers from max cook is cook maybe saving

00:35:16something up last couple of laps no i think i think cook's just about on his limit if he could

00:35:22have

00:35:22done anything i think he would have done still a great weekend absolutely

00:35:28lap time wise bradley ray three turns quicker than scott ready

00:35:33so has ray got something for scott up ahead of him as well

00:35:39again there just slightly deep from ryan because he's pulled that back well

00:35:44he's not going away no he's not

00:35:50to the left at palmer

00:35:56you may well think that ryan because has done enough to be your best rider of the weekend maybe it's

00:36:01kyle

00:36:01well whoever you decide it is the army be the best award you can scan that now vote on x

00:36:06and uh the rider of the day will be awarded i think that's the most difficult one to call that

00:36:12we've had

00:36:13three well three different winners potentially here yeah i can't call it no um

00:36:19i guess i suppose across the weekend and points i mean as it stands at the moment the quattro

00:36:23race of aces trophy is going to scott ready it's been the most sort of consistent out of the three

00:36:28but

00:36:28kyle's been there i mean this this is a turnaround from kyle isn't it yeah but actually that

00:36:33it the being the best rider that we never reflects points it's they like a little bit as well you

00:36:41might want to wait until the last lap to decide yeah because there could be a lunge or two

00:36:45brad ray definitely closing in on scott ready yes he is ready for this second place battle

00:36:51about to start the penultimate lap of the race weather's got better and better here at uh

00:36:56as netton winds dropped right off now the temperature is a little bit cool it's just perfect yeah good

00:37:01news for your flight home as well correct well i mean i was going anyway it was uh matt that

00:37:07i felt

00:37:07really sorry for he's not he's a frequent flyer he's not a good player certainly not with me i've got

00:37:18chocolates in flight entertainment correct again on that last lap you could see visually bradley ray

00:37:26yeah has taken a good chunk out of scott reading i don't think vickers has got anything left there and

00:37:32cook likewise but they are there to pick up the pieces he hasn't got long now

00:37:41brad will look to try and get himself close enough so that on the last lap maybe he could

00:37:46panty pushing on there there's another mechanical for max cook and it doesn't really reflect the great

00:37:55weekend he and the team have had no it doesn't oh the team this is a brilliant team

00:38:00with a super bike that don't often drop the ball we don't know what it is yet but let's have

00:38:05a look

00:38:07it's hard to say isn't it yeah nothing dangling down this time

00:38:12but it stopped so cook is out there from fifth place

00:38:19moves haslam up one spot meanwhile here we go bradley ray does close it he is pushing he's pushing he

00:38:26lost

00:38:27the front there into the end of the straight if brad it's not held him up though just text on

00:38:31the exit

00:38:32there just just slightly wide from scott ready now out of the bomb hole this is where you would expect

00:38:37brad ray to take in another time yes it is that wide line that we see from scott ready

00:38:46well he's going to give himself a chance he is what i would say is scott doesn't make that many

00:38:51mistakes

00:38:51you can't rely on that you've got to set something up i don't think it's going to be a set

00:38:55piece moving

00:38:56one go because we know that the decay gets at the slower corners a little bit quicker than the yamaha

00:39:01this is going to be set up over two or three corners and i'm going to say either end of

00:39:07the back

00:39:07straight into the uh chicane there or the last chicane it's going to be a last ditch

00:39:13is with him yeah he's building here i don't think it will be into agostini's that can't be too risky

00:39:20now the decay pulls out there been too well for that through the left we go on this final lap

00:39:27car

00:39:27ride at the moment destined to pick up yet another victory he has been superb yeah and brad ray definitely

00:39:36needs to finish so how desperate is he going to be to nick that it's a couple of points again

00:39:42there

00:39:43runs it in yeah gained by brad ray this is where it's all started to get a bit crucial now

00:39:48for brad

00:39:49he needs great drive around the double right handers here into williams

00:39:54and he's a slipstream as well needs everything going for him

00:39:59just trying now to get close enough to set it all up through the right handers he's close enough there

00:40:03this is good he'll just about get a bit of a drive not for a move under the bridge but

00:40:08to get

00:40:08himself close enough on the exit of the bomb hole this is good stuff he's pushing on yes he is

00:40:13he's

00:40:14giving himself a chance and the chances up the inside into the last chicane and it's going to be a

00:40:19little

00:40:19bit of a block pass if it comes if it comes but he will need to be closer than that

00:40:23out of the bomb

00:40:25hole into quorum curve now and he is starting to reel him in but i don't think he's close enough

00:40:30to make a

00:40:30move i think you're right it would be a desperate lunge here it's not gonna happen to do that

00:40:35checkered flag is out here in the final race of the weekend and the champion and championship leader

00:40:40has done it where has he pulled that out from car ride wins here ahead of scott redding and bradley

00:40:46ray another fine effort from ryan vickers fourth on the honda and it will be fifth for haslam and sixth

00:40:53for

00:40:53rory skinner wow car ride credit to him credit to the team for pulling it we thought it was going

00:41:03to

00:41:03be a barnstorm a four five bites going at it until the final lap and yet kyle was checked out

00:41:10just

00:41:10checked out yeah he boxed clever he was metronomic midway through the race he put together a series of

00:41:17laps just unbeatable five laps underneath existing that record yeah chateau to kyle ride that's his

00:41:25eighth win of the year and considering at the start of the weekend they were flustered it looked like

00:41:34damage limitation they're gonna leave here with a third a third and a win champion wise that's good

00:41:41you know i hope kyle and brad don't have an ongoing kind of beefy because they've been best of

00:41:50mates since minibike days since they were six and they're both really really good blokes well speaking

00:41:56to sean ride earlier kyle's dad and i'm saying if you pick out two riders we know from last year's

00:42:01championship challenge that wouldn't put a dirty move on anyone you would look at kyle and each other

00:42:06and they know each other so well they get along so well and hopefully the dads get on well the

00:42:10families get on well it'd be a shame i'm one of i don't like to see i know people like

00:42:14to see neil

00:42:15in sport but not me no hopefully that's just a feud that will be in the past the race of

00:42:23aces winner

00:42:23is going to be scott redding uh having hung on to second place he wins the quattro group races

00:42:29bases trophy he wins it for the second time and he joins a long list of people that have won

00:42:35it twice

00:42:35including yourself mr witton in 1988 and 1991. nobody's won it three times have they no one

00:42:42even agostini didn't it didn't come three times now you might have done if you did yeah

00:42:51trophy won by the original race of aces trophy is too valuable it's in there he's locked off the

00:43:00original trophy is massive but this trophy that he's good it's nice lovely trophy i'll with agostini

00:43:06sheen uh grant four times gone free champion called ballington south africa roger marshall yeah roger

00:43:39last couple of rounds yeah reason for that is it's it's it's a later design than the yamma yamma's a

00:43:46little bit longer too now brilliant back over the years of city win championships uh but the ducati

00:43:51has that not only the aero is more efficient i think but also the crank where the engine works

00:43:58the crank runs backwards and he stops it really which means you can just get more part of the ground

00:44:08so scott redding shaking his head there in park ferme maybe they tried something else

00:44:13with uh set up and it just didn't work maybe he's bemused himself but he didn't have anything in the

00:44:19end for this guy kyle ryde who everywhere we've gone he has been on the money and the one time

00:44:26you think

00:44:27maybe there's a chink in the armor he goes and delivers that that's the reason why he's got the

00:44:33number one plate on his time i've just got to say there's a championship man that will feel very nice

00:44:40indeed for kyle into the box and the team absolutely loving that as well brilliant shannon ethridge is

00:44:49crew chief and that is a key combination is that absolutely right james absolutely right let's get the

00:44:57results and standings in then another win an eighth of the season for kyle ryde close race we thought

00:45:06kyle had other ideas reading second ray third vickers excellent fourth for him again haslan was fifth

00:45:12ahead of skinner and hidden joe talbot the rookies had a really solid weekend he's eighth out of o'halloran

00:45:18and brooks points also going to danny kent in 11th ilian michelchick 12th then lee jackson fraser

00:45:27rogers and reese irwin who's had three races in the points here at snettleton his best weekend of

00:45:32the year so far on to the points then heading into brand's hatch kyle ryde 17 ahead of scott

00:45:40redding with bradley ray 61 adrift after that fall earlier leon haslam still fourth overall matt's

00:45:47cooked two retirements this weekend he's fifth and now only nine points clear of rory skinner

00:45:53lee jackson's moved up into the top ten three points finishes for him this weekend glenn irwin

00:45:58of course absent at the moment we send our best wishes to him joe talbot is up ahead of josh

00:46:38but he broke the lap record to take the win in the final race of the weekend and extend his

00:46:43lead at the

00:46:44top of the championship let's get the thoughts of our third place finisher first of all brad ray

00:46:49here's with shakey matt yeah danny with brad ray bradley um bounced back very very well there after

00:46:54the after the incident in race two you've uh you've not been beaten here until this weekend but uh you've

00:47:00taken my lap record thank you for that and uh you've had a double podium congratulations yeah no it's

00:47:04good it was nice to bounce back with uh with a podium after that race two instant um i had

00:47:09the pace in

00:47:09that race um i felt like i could have gone gone with carl and been in that battle but um

00:47:14just getting

00:47:16getting stuck a little bit um along the streets and having to to sit behind and buy my time but

00:47:22overall happy with the way i'm riding bike was working well just needed a little bit more from

00:47:25the from the engine to to make the race a bit easier but can't complain these boys are riding well

00:47:31yeah head to browns and keep fighting game of golf this week yeah i'm up for it you paying

00:47:37move along right second place then somewhere here he comes um scott redding scott uh we spoke off just

00:47:43before the race actually about how you build and build and build every single uh every single

00:47:47session every single race um great job there just not quite enough for kyle yeah i just didn't quite

00:47:52feel as good like i just feel like i have an offset of like 10 grip to what i had

00:47:56earlier and normally i

00:47:57feel better in the heat so like now i was running wider on the exit of corners i couldn't set

00:48:02up the

00:48:02canes is good i felt like i was backing it in a lot more to the tight corners struggling in

00:48:06turn one

00:48:07so i just did what i could do and then i got past max because i thought i had more

00:48:10pace and then when

00:48:11kyle come through i just couldn't really hang on and it was that usual thing when kyle gets the bike

00:48:16to turn he runs more corner speed and i had the opposite so it was like a double hindrance for

00:48:20me

00:48:20and coming out of turn six into seven every time that's where the gap was being made and i make

00:48:24a little

00:48:25bit up but it just wasn't enough and i was like hanging on i thought is it really worth it

00:48:29right now i

00:48:29could come out with more points over the weekend so i thought you know what i'll bring it home and

00:48:33next you know brad's breathing down my neck and i was like oh there's nothing more i can do like

00:48:37my

00:48:37grip's gone so i was hanging on around the long right thinking he'd have a go up the inside i

00:48:41didn't

00:48:42see him now i think he's gonna have a go next one luckily i managed to bring it back in

00:48:45second and

00:48:45yeah happy with the weekend i'm feeling the new red by the way yeah it's pretty good right good luck

00:49:07we just reminded me so thanks yeah to win my 200th racing bsb massive achievement um yeah it's been

00:49:13coming all weekend friday was the worst day yesterday was okay and today mega so uh yeah the bike worked

00:49:17so good i'd just like to thank everybody that coming up last night we was in the garage till midnight

00:49:21made the bike amazing for today in that last race obviously i was a bit peed off um with the

00:49:27penalty

00:49:27but um yeah rode that race really good probably the best i've ever done so yeah really happy and

00:49:31uh yeah finally come on england let's go good luck yeah 200 races for kyle riding bsb 200 points

00:49:40now for his championship as well he's in really good shape uh we've got his team boss paul curran

00:49:44with us now uh paul well done brilliant performance from kyle obviously but from the team too because

00:49:49you were on the back foot a little bit on friday yeah i mean uh traditionally kyle hasn't really

00:49:55had much luck here or hadn't won a superbike race here before so um i think he came into the

00:50:01weekend

00:50:02with maybe that thought process and put himself on the back for a little bit and yeah his confidence

00:50:08grew throughout the weekend we made the bike better for him and yeah sort of proved in that last race

00:50:14what he can do was there a big difference between the you know the the middle race and the last

00:50:20race

00:50:20because he just seemed to be a different motorcycle i mean those lap times his consistency was just

00:50:25phenomenal where did that come from i mean we knew he's quick but that seems like another notch or was

00:50:31it anger or what what yeah a bit of everything i think um yeah a few small tweaks nothing major

00:50:38different to the bike but i think the majority of that came from kyle and if you you watch the

00:50:44race

00:50:44and his body language at particular points he wanted that so great stuff paul we'll let you get to the

00:51:45takes another trophy home with him as well it's eight in total time for the national

00:51:49john murphy to make the transportation to the winner of the quattro group racer vases

00:53:05I don't think he could have expected though. He's obviously had the shirt out ready, but I don't think he

00:53:10would expect to be wearing it on the top step of the podium here this weekend.

00:53:12No, I don't think we did either. Really animated in the garage on Friday. Obviously that's helped problems, but that's

00:53:19how it works. That's why he's double champion last couple of years. He just gets what he can from the

00:53:24meeting and when things are right, that's what happens. Great right for me.

00:53:27And I think you're dead right, James. I think he was a little bit more angry. I think he was

00:53:30out to prove a little bit of a point, but to put that much time into everybody else, especially Scott

00:53:37Redding, who's been riding fantastic this weekend. That was a performance, wasn't it?

00:53:41It was. And just a bit of a surprise. It just looked like what we do know about Kyle is

00:53:46that he won't over push it. He takes his consistency, speaks for himself. It's almost unheard of.

00:53:54And for him to then, you heard Paul just mention his body language, but trying to get it, to grind

00:54:02his way out, he didn't have to. Everyone thought, well, Scott's going to have that, but he wanted to make

00:54:08a point of that.

00:54:10He really sort of did stamp it down. I got a feel, a couple of people there, obviously Max Cook,

00:54:16another problem, which was unfortunate because they're not a team that generally have problems, but he looked like he was...

00:54:22I haven't heard about it this year. That was unfortunate for him. And you've got to feel also for Brad

00:54:28Ray. He's ridden superb this year, on a slightly different day, the incident earlier.

00:54:35You might be looking at a very different result at the end of the day, so I do feel for

00:54:40him. He's been the big loser points-wise.

00:54:42But this is racing. These things happen, and we go on. There'll be plenty of other things to happen.

00:54:46I still think that Brad will take a little bit from this mean, in that if he couldn't be competitive

00:54:51and win a race here and look like he could run up the front, well, he's not going to do

00:54:55it anyway.

00:54:55So I think they're still going to take something away from this weekend.

00:55:30We're still losing a little bit in some areas, but absolutely fantastic to be in the fight for a podium

00:55:35all the way pretty much to the end.

00:55:37The last few laps, I tried hanging on to Brad, but I had nothing left, and it's a shame because

00:55:43and I think that's what drew Brad on a little bit as well, but fantastic job by the team.

00:56:30However, he had the pace, ran at the front, and where he is at the minute, that's just brilliant for

00:56:36him.

00:56:36They've had a good weekend in a lot of ways.

00:56:38Yeah, they have, and, you know, he showed his speed. They're unlucky with a couple of little incidents.

00:57:08I think he was 4.2, just four seconds off the win, and if you think where that's been, what

00:57:16he's doing with it, how the whole Honda team have put it on, I just think that's so impressive for

00:57:20him, for Honda, and it's hats off.

00:57:27for two laps is a miracle. To do it for 16 is something else.

00:58:30all bunches up at turn two there, they've done a very good job to all get out of that all

00:58:35safety.

00:58:35But, yeah, Harrison McKay had a terrible start, to be honest with you, but he's been so fast this weekend,

00:58:39he needs to just settle down, just try and pick his way through to the front.

00:58:44Yeah, McKay, a couple of tenths in front of Fleerackers in terms of that qualifying pace.

00:58:51Oh, Davison there! Sorry, Ed. Go on, keep going.

00:58:54No, Davison there was really tight up the inside into turn four, and he made it stick, so he's made

00:59:00a couple of positions there.

00:59:01I think he's up to fifth place now, so he's made a couple of positions there, and this is what

00:59:12Yeah, he needs to get himself, you know, to the front. We've seen him battle this year, and he's more

00:59:22He's not going to want to sit behind anyone. He's going to try and pick everyone off and get himself

00:59:26out front and gone.
