00:53Hello there, welcome back to the Isle of Man and the second part of our look back at TT2026.
00:59Last time out, we saw a superb superbike win for Dean Harrison on his Honda.
01:05Six perfect laps for his sixth TT win. Dean Harrison takes the superbike race here.
01:15And who else but Michael Dunlop making it nine Supersport wins on the bounce.
01:20Michael Dunlop has absolutely got it done. It is a ninth class win in a row and another TT win.
01:29He's up to 34.
01:35Coming up, the chase for silverware in three more races. Sport bikes, Supersport Race 2 and, of course, the big
01:41one, the senior TT.
01:43But here at the Isle of Man, it's not just about who wins.
01:46There are some incredible stories of human endeavour throughout the grid in each of the classes.
01:51None more so this year than that of Stephen Parsons, who's been sat down for a chat with Lee Johnston.
02:02Stephen, this is not an interview I was expecting to have this week.
02:07The fact that you've waited to beat cancer before coming to do your first Isle of Man TT is something
02:14that honestly blows my mind.
02:16Well, we had stage four blood and bone cancer.
02:20Yeah, Hodgkin's lymphoma was my blood cancer. All clear in 22, so we did a year, just about, yeah, just
02:26about a year of treatment with all that lot, with chemo, radiotherapy.
02:31Stephen, would you say that the battle of coming back to the Isle of Man TT and wanting to compete
02:37here has helped you through your battle with cancer?
02:40Yeah, definitely. It was the main part for me when I was going through my treatment and that lot,
02:44because I always wanted to do TT. That was with driving force, if you would.
02:48I was, yeah, asking the doctor, oh, how long do you think it was going to take and just trying
02:52to work out a plan just to, yeah,
02:54so I didn't have to miss the TT, never mind getting back. It will happen. Come what may, and it's,
02:59yeah, it happens, so.
03:08For most people, the feeling of achievement to finish a six-lap sewer bike race
03:14at the end of Man TT is massive, but to be able to say you've done that now
03:18after what you have achieved personally, it must feel amazing.
03:22Definitely, mate, because, yeah, even, er, I'm sure everybody's seen it ringing the bell and that lot
03:26when you're in hospital when you finish your treatment and you get your hole clear and that lot,
03:29it was a very, very nice feeling, because, yeah, it was a lot of unfinished business for me,
03:34because this is what we've always wanted, yeah, to finish it when we came into it.
03:37Well, not the winner's inclusion, just that holding pen afterwards was a hell of a relief.
03:42It was some serious weight off shoulders and that lot, just nobody else, just myself,
03:46just, yeah, it was a goal I wanted to do.
03:48There will be people watching this that are probably about to suffer what you've suffered,
03:52so the motivation they're going to get from this and seeing what you've been able to achieve.
03:58Well, all right, hopefully, if somebody takes something from it,
04:00it's a job well done, you've just got to keep fighting,
04:03because, yeah, cancer doesn't give a s*** about anybody.
04:10Yeah, truly incredible story, and we'll be seeing more from Stephen Parsons
04:14in the Senior TT later on in the show, but when we come back from the break,
04:17we'll be racing again with Supersport Race 2.
04:39Welcome back to the Isle of Man, and I'll look back on TT 2026,
04:43where Michael Dunlop made more history with his ninth Supersport win on the bounce
04:47and his 34th in total.
04:49In race two, he was looking to take another step into the history books.
04:53Lee and Grace were on the grid.
04:58Yeah, definitely lots of smiles down here on the grid.
05:01We just heard from the clerk of the course there that conditions around the course are looking good,
05:06a few damp patches, but a lot of the riders we're hearing from, Lee,
05:09have said that the conditions are already better than race one.
05:12Yeah, quite a few of the guys, I think because of what I do now,
05:15they seem like they have to tell me, but, yeah, a lot of the lads have said
05:18that the conditions are definitely better than the race the other day.
05:22Just a few little weird ones, like up on the mountain mile, there's damp patches,
05:25but I believe that's just coming out of the ground.
05:27It would probably be there all day, and now they've all seen it,
05:29there's no real risk on that one.
05:31So, yeah, it looks like we're good to race.
05:33So, we're just going to squeeze in here, see if we can get a word with a few riders.
05:36With Jamie, you're settling in well to the Rapid Honda team
05:40and hoping for good things on the 600.
05:42Yeah, I'm looking forward to this race.
05:43So, we made a few little changes from the first race,
05:45and hopefully we've gone in the right direction, but, you know yourself,
05:49you can mess around these little things around here a little bit,
05:52so if it's not right, we'll just grit and see if we can get on with it.
05:54But, yeah, I'm looking forward to getting out there.
05:55The conditions aren't as bad as what I thought in the warm-up like this morning,
05:59so we'll be getting out there and pushing on as hard as we can
06:02and see where we finish at the end.
06:03Thanks, Jamie.
06:04We wish you'd be able to get on the Lops bike here,
06:07where, for this race too, he's got those flashes of yellow
06:10on his Ducati Panigale.
06:12Now, we saw this for the second Supersport race last year, Lee,
06:16and this is sort of Ducati's historical winning colours, if you like.
06:20Yeah, I really like it, personally.
06:22I know other people maybe have different opinions,
06:24but the bikes are always red.
06:26Every Ducati you see is red, so I think it's a little bit cool
06:28just to see something, I should say, it changes things up a little bit,
06:32but honestly, I'm presuming he's going to do the same job
06:35that he did the other day,
06:37but we can just see Josh Brooks getting ready here now.
06:39He's been riding this Supersport bike really, really well
06:43over the last few days,
06:44so maybe if you want to jump in and see if you can grab a quick word with him, Grace.
06:49Yeah, we'll see if we can.
06:50He's just putting his gloves on there.
06:52I definitely think we're hearing from many people in the paddock
06:55that he's definitely got the best livery on this Suzuki,
06:57so we'll see if we can just grab a quick word with you, Josh, there
07:00as you put your gloves on.
07:01We always love speaking to you
07:03and just getting a quick word on how the progress is going on the Suzuki 750.
07:06Fifth place for you in the first race.
07:08How's it looking for this one, do you think?
07:10Yeah, I think the progress is coming from myself.
07:14We haven't really changed a great deal on this bike.
07:16And most of the way through practice, it's just little fine-tuning things.
07:20And it got pretty good pretty much straight away,
07:22so any of the improvements are going to come from myself.
07:25And that opening lap of the first race was pretty damp.
07:30I took too much caution, but I'm OK with that.
07:34Yeah, good to hear from Josh there,
07:36but he reckons it's going to have to be him
07:38that gets the best out of that package.
07:40Yeah, we're just talking off air there.
07:41A car will come over, and that is the most beautiful livery
07:44on the grid today, I think, at the minute right now.
07:47So, yeah, looks good.
07:48So hopefully it results in good speed.
07:51We are ready for a start here
07:53in the Monster Energy Super Sport Race.
07:55Let's get straight up to our commentary team
07:57of Cam Donald and Andrew Coley.
08:02Leading us off, Mike Brown on the Yamaha.
08:07He heads down Glencrutchery Road.
08:10He received a 30-second time penalty
08:12for speeding in the pit stop in that first race.
08:14He'll be keen to make amends for that one, Andrew.
08:16He certainly will pull Jordan off the line next,
08:18and then up to the line, Dean Harrison.
08:20What has Harrison got?
08:22Gets into that crash position.
08:24Means business off the line.
08:26He was right there on lap one, Cameron,
08:28but that pace has got to continue longer
08:30if he wants to get the job done this time.
08:31Well, that's the question we're all asking ourselves.
08:34Can Dean hold that pace?
08:36We know how quick he is in the first sector.
08:38He's going to need to hold it that fast through
08:40every sector and every lap
08:42to take on the speed of Michael Dunlop
08:44in this Super Sport class.
08:46What a way to start your race,
08:47say, down Bray Hill and over Agos.
08:49It really is.
08:50Here is Dunlop, the man who won just on Tuesday,
08:53as I say, the last encounter,
08:55the first of the Monster Energy Supersport races.
08:57He was very much the favourite on the smaller bikes,
09:00so in Supersport and in Sportbike during practice week.
09:04Of course, we just haven't seen enough of race week
09:06to see whether that form was going to continue.
09:08Josh Brooks off the line on the Suzuki.
09:11Great to see so many manufacturers in this race,
09:14so many different bikes competing.
09:18And now up to the line, Pete Hickman.
09:20Now, Hickman the other day
09:22fought his way back onto the podium, didn't he?
09:24But he wasn't ever threatening the pace of the top two,
09:27but also seemed pretty happy with that.
09:29Yeah, he seemed happy.
09:31He's been building all week,
09:32returning from injury,
09:33and he was fast on that drive.
09:36It just took him a lap or so
09:38to find his feet, if you like.
09:40Riding on ball with Pete now down Bray Hill.
09:42That first lap, chase the kerb, flick it in.
09:44Apex about a metre off the kerb.
09:46Brace yourself up over.
09:48There goes Lee.
09:49Michael Dunlop, back stepped out.
09:51Wow, he is pushing.
09:53And he backs it in through Glen Helen as well.
09:55So Dunlop's definitely on it,
09:57but Harrison leads by 1.4 seconds.
10:00Harrison is your leader.
10:02Paul Jordan, 3.6 back.
10:03Then Jamie Coward and Davo Johnson.
10:06So I say Mike Brown will try and get some data.
10:09We've got a timing screen.
10:10It won't show on your graphics,
10:11but we can see roughly where he is.
10:13And it looks like he's in P5 at the minute.
10:16So P5 or P4 roughly.
10:19They'll be manually timing him.
10:20So that's a bit of a shame for him.
10:22Be hard for his team giving him splits as well
10:24without the accurate data.
10:25Yeah, he won't be able to receive any pit boards
10:27because the team won't be able to get that information.
10:30See now Pete Hickman.
10:31He comes through.
10:32Now where does he drop into the timing screen there, Andrew?
10:34P3.
10:35P3, yep.
10:37They're coming into shot side by side.
10:40Dean has just passed Mike Brown into pits
10:43just to make sure and get right down
10:45onto that speed limiter there.
10:46Mike lost a little bit of time,
10:48probably just a little bit anxious
10:49from the first pit stop
10:51where he got that 30-second time penalty straight away.
10:54Behind us, Paul Jordan's just coming into shot now,
10:56but the guys seem to be pretty calm here,
10:58sharing a little bit of information.
11:00Obviously, there's no rear tire getting done
11:02in the Supersport race,
11:03so this is just a race now
11:05to get the fuel into that bike.
11:07And they've actually come out ahead of Dean Horace
11:10just missing the mechanic there.
11:12So a little bit of work of Dean here
11:13just to pass Mike Brown again.
11:16And Paul Jordan, I believe,
11:17has possibly made time up
11:18on both of them guys in the pits
11:20because he's got out just on the back of them.
11:22So see Michael Dunlop's already in the shot there
11:25as Jamie Coward comes in now
11:27on that beautiful little CBR 600 Honda.
11:29It'll be interesting to see
11:30if Jamie can just pinch a little bit of time
11:33in the pits now
11:34and try and get back on that tow,
11:35but it's not looking likely
11:36as Michael is just leaving the pits.
11:38So that was a pretty controlled stop there from Michael.
11:41You see he just pushed his left thumb
11:43down onto the handlebar there.
11:44That's where the pit lane limiter,
11:45and he even went a few meters across the pit lane
11:48just to be safe.
11:49As of now, everybody seems to be under control,
11:51and let's just wait and see
11:52if there's been any speed penalties in the pits.
11:56So Harrison definitely, Cam,
11:58looking at the times,
11:58lost seven tenths on that grandstand split,
12:00so that was where he was in behind Mike Brown
12:02at those tight hairpins,
12:03not where he wanted to get caught.
12:05Now he's had to repass him
12:06at the bottom of Bray Hill,
12:07and we're waiting to see
12:08what Dunlop's pit time was as well
12:10in terms of, yeah,
12:11has it been any time made up or lost?
12:12Hickman exits the pits now.
12:19Sector times,
12:20we're waiting for Dunlop to come.
12:21He's got the lead.
12:22Dunlop then,
12:231.7,
12:24so Harrison must have lost
12:26in the region of five seconds
12:27in the pits.
12:28That's mad.
12:29That is a crushing blow for Dean Harrison.
12:31It really does appear
12:32that he's lost the bulk of that time
12:33during that refuel.
12:35It's just a splash and dash.
12:36There's no tyre changes,
12:38no visor change,
12:39but he's lost that time.
12:41How, Cam?
12:42I don't understand how,
12:43unless the Honda has used
12:44so much more fuel
12:46than the Ducati,
12:47that it was less of a brim
12:48on the Ducati,
12:49I don't understand
12:50how you lose five seconds in there.
12:51I can't get my head around it.
12:53I think Team Honda
12:54will be asking the same question
12:56after that pit stop, Andrew.
13:00So the gap's going up
13:02just a little bit
13:02at the top of the board.
13:04Up on the mountain,
13:04this is Josh Brooks.
13:06Look how quick this is.
13:07Yeah, and there's a man
13:08that certainly knows
13:09how to pilot a Supersport bike.
13:10We know him well
13:11from British Superbikes,
13:12but many don't realise
13:13back in 2008,
13:15third in the World Supersport Championship.
13:17With a win at Donington
13:18back in the day,
13:19he knows this class well.
13:20Yeah, he does.
13:21Very different venue
13:22to Donington, albeit,
13:23but yeah, he knows
13:24how to ride the bike, doesn't he?
13:26There is your man,
13:27Michael Dunlop.
13:28At the minute he leads,
13:29can Harrison come back
13:30on the final lap?
13:32And that, unfortunately,
13:33is Connor Cummins
13:34in the pits
13:35and going no further.
13:38You have Dean Harrison
13:39who put up a brilliant fight
13:40on lap one, Cam.
13:41Well, a fight.
13:42He was winning the fight
13:43on lap one.
13:44Five seconds gone in the pits
13:45and then the sector times
13:46just don't seem to have been there
13:48on lap two and lap three.
13:49He's not doing the times
13:50he was doing earlier on.
13:52Yeah, we're unsure
13:52if he has an issue or not,
13:54but not the same pace.
13:57On board with Harrison.
13:59Big blip of the revs
14:00as he comes down a cog
14:01in Glen Helen.
14:06Fantastic on board
14:07as always here
14:08at the TT Hickman.
14:11Down to the crossroads
14:12and turning right.
14:13There's a set of traffic lights there
14:14which are switched off
14:15during the race.
14:16No distractions needed.
14:18Absolutely not.
14:19Traffic lights
14:20not required.
14:21Dean Harrison down.
14:23Kurt Michael
14:23looking at it,
14:24getting a little bit squirrely
14:25through there.
14:26You're raising over that hump,
14:28takes all the weight
14:28off the tyres
14:29as you're changing direction.
14:30Watch Michael Dunlop
14:31through the same section.
14:34And Dunlop now
14:35with an 18.6 second lead.
14:37So unless there's
14:38some sort of disaster
14:39he can even see his prey
14:40in front of him.
14:41Dean Harrison.
14:43This is what it's like
14:44to go through Kirk Michael.
14:45Enjoy this.
14:55Michael Dunlop comes through
14:56and the gap's gone up again.
14:58So I think Harrison's
14:59rolled off out of this now
15:00remember Harrison
15:01as the senior
15:02to come later on today.
15:04Three races in one day.
15:05He's not going to lose
15:06P2 to Hickman.
15:07He'd be well
15:08with his rights to do that.
15:09Here's Dunlop
15:10over the Solby Bridge
15:12and that is having a laugh
15:14when you're that far
15:15up the road.
15:17Wow.
15:20Michael Dunlop
15:20would have just
15:21caught a glimpse
15:22of Dean Harrison
15:23as they were heading down
15:25towards Hillbury.
15:26What a beautiful place
15:26to be for Michael.
15:27He knows as long
15:28as he keeps that
15:29rider ahead of him
15:30in sight
15:30the race is his.
15:33They're coming out
15:34from Governor's Dip
15:34then on this final
15:35of three laps.
15:36Dean Harrison
15:37has put up a big scrap
15:38but since the pitch stops
15:39it has gone the way
15:41of Michael Dunlop.
15:42He is the dominant force
15:43in this category.
15:44This will be win number 17
15:46but it's 10 in a row.
15:49Unstoppable Dunlop
15:50with a 35th TT win.
15:52What a brilliant ride.
15:56Michael Dunlop
15:57on the top step
15:57of the podium
15:58for the second time
15:59this week.
15:59Dean Harrison
16:00a little way behind
16:01Hickman in the mix
16:02as well.
16:03Mike Brown
16:03just got that position
16:04off Paul Jordan
16:05in the very last
16:06sector of the race.
16:08A solid third position
16:10for you there.
16:11Congratulations.
16:12How happy are you
16:13with that result?
16:14Yeah, well happy.
16:15You know,
16:15three races now,
16:16three podiums.
16:18Yeah, really, really happy.
16:19You know,
16:19the little trumpet's
16:21going really well
16:22with the Trooper livery
16:23on it this time
16:23so probably a few people
16:25wasn't quite sure
16:26what bike was going around.
16:27That's the first time
16:27we've actually run the livery
16:28all two weeks
16:29but honestly the bike's
16:31working really, really well.
16:32Really happy with it.
16:33The speed needs to come
16:34from me using less braking
16:35and more throttle really.
16:36Another well-deserved podium
16:38there for Dean Harrison.
16:40You seem to be quick
16:41out the blocks, Dean
16:42and then managing
16:42second place there.
16:44Are you happy
16:44with that result?
16:45Yeah, I think that's
16:46the best I could do today.
16:47I couldn't go any more
16:48with what we had.
16:50So no,
16:51the bike never missed
16:51the beat to be fair.
16:52I got a good start.
16:53I got quite a lot
16:54of good slipstream
16:55than that one.
16:55I had Paul dragging me
16:56on a bit down Sulby
16:57so I got a real good speed
16:58to up the night.
16:59Mike dragged me
16:59up the mountain
17:00which sort of helped
17:01my lap time a little bit.
17:02So no,
17:03I'm happy with that.
17:04It's the quickest
17:04I've ever gone
17:05on the little Honda
17:06and the conditions
17:07aren't perfect
17:09so that sort of
17:10puts me in good stead
17:11for this afternoon
17:11for the senior.
17:12Michael Dunlop,
17:13what a race
17:14and a masterclass.
17:15Thanks to the whole team,
17:16everybody,
17:17it's nice to be able
17:18to do the double again
17:19on the Ducati.
17:21As I say,
17:21the week's been up
17:22and down for everybody
17:23but for me
17:24the big bike's been hard work
17:25but it just proves
17:25when everything clicks,
17:27it clicks
17:27so it was nice to do that.
17:33Yet another piece
17:34of history then
17:35for Michael Dunlop
17:36in the Supersports
17:37and a chance for more
17:39in the Sport Bikes.
17:40We'll show you
17:40what happened in that one
17:41when we come back
17:42from the break.
18:00Welcome back to TT26
18:02and a chance now
18:03to look back
18:03on the first ever
18:04Sport Bike Race,
18:05a category that was opened up
18:07to allow a new generation
18:08of middleweight machinery
18:09to challenge the established order,
18:11those factory patterns.
18:13One of them, of course,
18:14in the hands of Michael Dunlop.
18:16Another with a fantastic new livery
18:18in the hands of Mike Brown.
18:19He will be first out
18:20onto the road
18:21but not before a grid walk
18:23from Grayson Lee.
18:25Yeah, thanks Matt.
18:26We know that he'll want
18:27to challenge for this one.
18:28Yeah, the bike looks really nice
18:30in them retro colours.
18:31It's cool colours.
18:32Old colours are always cool colours
18:34so yeah,
18:35it's got to go for me that has.
18:36Paul Jordan's on an Aprilia,
18:38Mikey Evans is on a Yamaha
18:39so they're taking advantage
18:41of the new Sport Bike TT regulations.
18:44Yeah, obviously this little Aprilia
18:46is actually one of my old bikes.
18:48You've got a bit of an experience
18:49on this one.
18:50Yeah, I've got a bit of a connection
18:51to this one.
18:52So yeah, beautiful little RS660
18:54there by the Jacksons guys.
18:56The bike's turned out beautiful
18:57and actually the Yamaha
19:00that Mike Evans is on
19:01is actually the bike
19:03that Jeremy Williams won
19:04the Northwest 200 on
19:06a few weeks ago.
19:07So this bike is really,
19:09really fast
19:09and we've seen that
19:10at the Northwest.
19:11So I'm saying that
19:12this is a really good chance
19:14for Mikey in this class here
19:15and let's see what
19:16the Manx man can do hopefully.
19:18But you're going to try
19:19and jump in
19:19and have a word with Paul there
19:20before we get to...
19:21Well, we can see
19:21Paul's just putting his helmet on
19:23so we'll try and get a word
19:24with both of them.
19:25But Paul, if we could just
19:27get a quick word from you
19:29and what your hopes are
19:30for this race.
19:31I spoke to Alan before
19:33and the whole team are behind you
19:34hoping for a podium on this one.
19:36Yeah, we should get stuck in
19:37and just see where we end up.
19:38There's four or five of us
19:39in the mix here.
19:40So yeah, it's going to be
19:41a close race
19:41but I'm ready for it.
19:42We don't doubt you'll get stuck in.
19:44Have a good one, Paul.
19:46We'll just squeeze past Paul here
19:47and see if we can get a word
19:49with Mikey as well.
19:50He'll be on the Yamaha R7
19:52with Flitwick Motorcycles.
19:54We were just saying, Mikey,
19:56that the bike's looking really good
19:57and you're hoping for a good result
19:59after a bit of a mixed TT
20:00so far for you.
20:02Yeah, definitely.
20:03It's been a long two weeks
20:04for everybody.
20:06Ups and downs.
20:07I've had my downs
20:07so hopefully we can
20:09have a good race today
20:10and yeah, just enjoy it.
20:12Just remember why we do it.
20:13Enjoy it.
20:14Exactly that.
20:15We hope you have a great one, Mikey.
20:16Thank you very much.
20:18We'll let him get his ear
20:19plugged in there
20:20because these bikes are loudly.
20:22Yeah, the patterns are renowned
20:25for being really loud.
20:26We've got straight silencers
20:27out the back of the bike
20:28and you can see the resonation
20:31even as you're walking past there.
20:32The cameraman's been driving.
20:34We've got three patterns
20:35in a row here now
20:36and because of the rules
20:37in this class,
20:37you're allowed to adapt
20:38the bodywork.
20:39So there's got beautiful
20:40Moto2 style bodywork
20:42on this Malenko Paget's pattern
20:45and then we just turn around
20:46slightly on the bike
20:47that David Johnson's on
20:48is the original style
20:50pattern bodywork
20:51that we've seen
20:51for multiple seasons
20:53now coming to the TT
20:54and then third
20:56but not least
20:57is Michael Dunlop's pattern
20:59which is classed
21:00as the factory bike
21:01but that one now
21:02has developed
21:03into a more Moto2 style bodywork
21:05so even though there's three bikes
21:07with the same engine
21:07same chassis
21:08all the other parts
21:10the bodywork looks completely different
21:11for the fans out there
21:13seeing them ride along.
21:15Yep, those patterns
21:16are going to take some beating
21:17in this one
21:18especially the one
21:19in the hands of Michael Dunlop
21:20as he looks to make it
21:2236 career TT wins.
21:25Let's get straight up
21:26to our commentary team
21:27of Cam Donald
21:28and Andrew Coley
21:30and on P1
21:32Mike Brown
21:33on the pattern
21:34with the Malbray Racing
21:35replica paint job
21:37or tribute paint job
21:38I should say
21:39really sets that
21:40magnificent machine
21:41off beautifully
21:43nice start
21:43Mike Brown away
21:44he's become
21:45a bit of a specialist
21:46in this
21:47smaller CC class
21:48in recent years
21:49he's always
21:50one of the front runners
21:51here
21:51Paul Jordan
21:52going off P2
21:53on the Aprilia
21:56much noisier
21:57as they blast away
21:58down towards Bray Hill
22:01yeah these twin cylinder engines
22:03really have a distinct note
22:06Jamie Coward
22:07on the number 4
22:08he's also on a pattern
22:10we'll get into
22:11the difference
22:11between the
22:12the different bikes
22:13in this one
22:14Milenko by Paget
22:15of course
22:15for Coward
22:17look at the fantastic
22:19reflection
22:19from that camera angle
22:20coming off
22:21the RI visor
22:22of Jamie Coward
22:23there you can see
22:23straight down the road
22:24yeah that is his vision
22:26as he goes past
22:27the petrol station
22:28at St Ninion's
22:28Crossroads
22:29under the bridge
22:30and away now
22:31Michael Dunlop
22:32on the number 6
22:33also running the pattern
22:34of course
22:35he's riding the official pattern
22:37it's actually prepared
22:38by the factory
22:39that make the bike themselves
22:40SC Project Racing
22:41come with a slightly
22:42different shape
22:43fairing for this year
22:45tucked right in
22:47you need every single
22:48mile per hour
22:49on these machines
22:49Cam if you're a big lad
22:51this isn't the easiest
22:52class to ride in
22:53no having the smallest
22:54horsepower output
22:56means that a lighter
22:57smaller rider
22:58is a benefit
22:58which is something
22:59this man does not have
23:00Peter Hickman
23:01one of the larger
23:02riders in the field
23:05we'll start to get our splits
23:069.5 miles
23:08into the first
23:08two laps
23:09remember
23:09absolutely flat out
23:11no fuel stops
23:12no tyre changes
23:13so no mistakes
23:15or advantages
23:15to be made
23:16we've seen a fair bit
23:17of that this week
23:17in the pit stops
23:18and Mike Brown
23:20gives us our first
23:21target time
23:22aboard the pattern
23:22here he goes
23:23treaded rear tyre
23:24you can see the tread there
23:25not the slicks
23:26as we'd see
23:27in most of the other classes
23:28it's Rob Hodson
23:30and followed by
23:31Peter Hickman
23:32yeah Hickman's
23:33closed that gap down
23:34a bit hasn't he
23:34his first splits
23:35are coming through
23:36Liverpool Jordan
23:361.3 off Brown
23:37we've had the same
23:38three riders
23:39on the podium
23:40Cam
23:40admittedly we've only
23:40had three races
23:41this week
23:42but obviously we've seen
23:42Hickman, Harrison
23:44and Dunlop
23:44in various order
23:45on the podiums
23:46I think today
23:47or this race today
23:48could potentially
23:49be different to that
23:50we certainly could
23:51and have a look
23:51at the splits
23:52it's close at the front
23:53there Mike Brown
23:54Paul Jordan
23:55and Jamie Coward
23:56now they really are
23:57the three specialists
23:58in this class
23:58but Michael Dunlop
24:00has already pulled
24:01a solid few seconds
24:02on them
24:03on the way down
24:04into Glen Helen
24:04on the first lap
24:07here's a look
24:07at Hickman
24:08over
24:08now there's something
24:10coming out
24:10from behind him there
24:11you think fluid
24:12absolutely
24:13I think that
24:14fuel cap may be leaking
24:15there was definitely
24:16something
24:16I thought it was
24:16steam or smoke
24:17but it would make sense
24:19maybe the fuel
24:20cap's come loose
24:21wow Peter Hickman's
24:23getting a high octane
24:24rinse wash
24:25here comes Dunlop
24:26now let's see
24:27what the gap is
24:28as he comes through
24:30I think it's on the exit
24:31if I remember correctly
24:32there it is
24:3415
24:34so again
24:35another three or four seconds
24:37on the run up the mountain
24:38yeah he's not letting off
24:39one but you see
24:40his line choice
24:41is absolutely pinpoint
24:43he's really putting on
24:44a display of how to ride
24:46this Isla Man TT course
24:48we look down at
24:49Aussie Dave O'Johnson
24:51on the ILR machine
24:53he's still coming to terms
24:54with this bike
24:54it's not a class
24:55he generally races
24:57he's more at home
24:58on the bigger bikes Dave
24:59but he's doing a good job
25:00aboard the pattern
25:01that onboard camera
25:03gave you a good idea
25:03of the bugs as well
25:04the sun comes out
25:05the bugs tend to come out
25:06Hickman comes through
25:07I think he's carrying
25:08that issue as we say
25:09he can't confirm that
25:10and does it
25:11oh yeah
25:11if he was going to pull over
25:12he'd have pulled over by now Cam
25:14wouldn't he
25:14where does he sit
25:15he's still in P4
25:16so you're on board
25:17with Peter Hickman now
25:17still sitting in fourth place
25:19quite incredible
25:20when you think of how much time
25:21he must have lost
25:22his head and shoulders
25:22up above the screen
25:23fiddling with that fuel cap
25:28you're with Mike Brown
25:29as he goes down Bray Hill
25:31at the start of lap two
25:32we're at the halfway point
25:33of this one
25:35and it's been a rough week
25:37for weather
25:38with the delays
25:38and so on
25:39but we have had some brilliant racing
25:40when we've had the bikes
25:41out on course
25:42Michael Dunlop
25:43is your leader
25:44Paul Jordan
25:45he crosses the line
25:46he's just a tenth of a second
25:47apart from Mike Brown
25:48so that battle might well rage
25:50but have a look at this
25:51and we'll get an idea
25:52of just how quick Dunlop is
25:54and what his lead is
25:55as he goes on to lap two
25:56Cam
25:56he's looking like
25:57he's going to be tough to beat
25:58let's get that split
26:00yeah he certainly is going to be
26:01tough to beat in this class
26:02he's a specialist
26:03he's on a machine
26:04he knows well
26:05he's riding at his best
26:06and the lead now
26:07has stretched out
26:08to 17 and a half seconds
26:11and he's not slowing down
26:12looking at those sector times
26:13he's still pulling out
26:14that lead
26:15another one as well
26:16love to see it
26:17a little bit of showboating
26:18going on this lap I think
26:19the man only knows one speed
26:20but the race
26:21on her hands here
26:22at the moment
26:23involves this man
26:23Mike Brown
26:24wow
26:26leaps off Balacry
26:28as he's battling a way
26:30to take that second position
26:31and he's got it Cam
26:32he's got it at Balaf Bridge
26:33he was 0.2 down
26:34he's 1.1 up
26:35so he's got him by
26:361.3 seconds
26:38there it is
26:38at the bottom of your screen
26:39so Mike Brown moves up
26:40into P2
26:41that's going to go on
26:42right the way through
26:42to the checkered flag
26:43I reckon
26:45here is Brown
26:46again remember
26:47the gap was 1.1
26:48we'll get another update
26:49but
26:51he really is on it
26:53he knows
26:53he knows
26:54he's had the board
26:55saying get a wiggle on
26:56this is for P2
26:57he'll know that Dunlop's
26:58a long way up the road
26:59you normally get to see
27:00where the rider is ahead
27:01or behind
27:01a little bit deep there Cam
27:03yeah he did go
27:04just that little bit
27:04deep into Parliament Square
27:05look both these riders
27:06have been on the podium
27:07in the Super Twin class
27:09they'll be desperate
27:10to get back on this
27:11Sportbike class podium today
27:15let's see then
27:16let's see then
27:16when we get to the hairpin
27:17if Brown lost any time there
27:19what was it
27:19it was 1.1
27:20wasn't it
27:20yeah to Jordan
27:23yeah Andrew
27:24these riders too
27:25will know
27:25that this is
27:26their best opportunity
27:27to get on the podium
27:28at this year's TT
27:29they know they're both
27:30serious and strong contenders
27:32in the Superbike class
27:33but in the senior
27:34they surely know
27:35they won't be able to run
27:36at the front like they are here
27:37and the gap has gone up
27:38it's gone up by
27:39eight tenths of a second
27:40so despite the fact
27:41we thought Brown
27:42was potentially a bit wide
27:43he's obviously been pushing
27:44really hard
27:44and he's edged it out
27:45to 2.0
27:46Dunlop meanwhile
27:47he's 27.7 seconds
27:50up the road
27:51and he's still going quicker
27:52than anyone
27:53in these sectors
27:55Coward
27:55is
27:56at bungalow
27:5911.9
28:00off Hickman
28:00and 10 up
28:01yeah those gaps
28:01are going out
28:02either side of Jamie Coward
28:03and there's Kate Cottage
28:04as we ride on board
28:06with Paul Jordan
28:07down towards Craig Navar
28:08fans all down
28:10the breaking zone
28:10and on the exit
28:11of the Craig camp
28:12all on the acceleration zone
28:13as well
28:13that must have been
28:14an incredible buzz
28:15to be that close to the fans
28:16there's nothing quite like it
28:17especially when you know
28:18there's only miles to go
28:19before you're going to
28:19see that chequered flag
28:21and I tell you
28:21after a couple of laps
28:22of racing around the TT course
28:24you're usually pretty glad
28:25that it's over
28:27into the hairpin
28:28on the 36
28:29is Lewis Arrowsmith
28:30and behind him
28:31on the 55
28:32Michael Russell
28:34they blast up
28:35over the mountain
28:36little pass on the inside
28:37it looks like
28:38on the exit
28:39but coming through
28:40Governor's Dip here
28:41we've got our battle
28:42going on
28:431.6 is the gap
28:44between Brown
28:45and Jordan
28:46as we wait for them
28:47it's a long old
28:48wait through there
28:49a bit damp
28:49and through he comes
28:50Mike Brown then
28:51the gap was
28:521.6
28:53we won't see
28:54what it is
28:55until Jordan
28:56comes over the line
28:57so Brown's going to
28:58come over the timing line
28:58now
28:59and trigger that
29:00we'll have his finish time
29:01Jordan will have to
29:02do something special
29:02and find 1.6
29:03in that last sector
29:04won't he
29:04he's certainly
29:05going to have to
29:05you can see Mike Brown
29:06running it all the way
29:07out to the kerb
29:09and now we'll see
29:10Paul Jordan
29:10will he do the same
29:11that's so tricky
29:12for Ryder
29:13that last part
29:13you want to be
29:14on the throttle early
29:14but you know
29:15the road's slippery
29:16it's greasy
29:16you've got to take
29:17caution
29:17but you also
29:18want that result
29:21Michael Dunlop
29:22clips the kerb
29:23on the inside
29:25and over the line
29:26then Paul Jordan
29:26oh it's not enough
29:28he took a second
29:29off Brown
29:29but he misses out
29:30P2 by 6 tenths
29:31of a second
29:32this man though
29:32unchallenged to the winner
29:34massive margin
29:35Michael Dunlop
29:36takes his third TT win

30:04the whole race
30:05I was getting pit boards
30:06seeing P2 plus 0
30:07P3 plus 0
30:08and I was like
30:09bloody hell
30:10give me a break here
30:10it was honestly
30:11it was a great race
30:13you know
30:13I left nothing out there
30:14and I'm really
30:15chuffed for third
30:16you looked like
30:17you were riding
30:18the socks off of that
30:19Aprilia
30:19and pushing the patterns
30:20to the wire
30:216 tenths between
30:23you and Mike
30:24so it really was
30:25hard fought
30:25yeah for sure
30:26you know I'd say
30:27we're representing
30:28the Aprilia here
30:29so it was good
30:29obviously getting
30:30up against the pattern
30:31so yeah it was really good
30:32you know I'm glad
30:32to be standing up here
30:33once again
30:33definitely
30:34go and enjoy that champagne
30:35thank you
30:36thanks
30:43Mike Bowne
30:44congratulations
30:45second place there
30:46after a bit of
30:47bad luck
30:47this week
30:48it's great to see you
30:49on the podium
30:50pushing that pattern
30:51as well
30:526 tenths between
30:53you and Paul Jordan
30:54did you know
30:55it was so close
30:55when you were out there
30:56yeah I got a few
30:57pit boards along the way
30:58I knew it was tight
30:59and after the first lap
31:01I thought I rode well
31:02in the first lap
31:03I might have bridged a gap
31:03but it was just
31:04relentless the whole way
31:05through for P2
31:06so no we kept the shoe
31:08in and we got there
31:09and I know the whole team
31:10are proud of you
31:12that special livery
31:13do you think that was
31:14bringing you a bit
31:14of good luck there
31:15yeah look I'd like to think
31:16so it was nice for the team
31:18and it's not just a team
31:19there's other people
31:20involved with that bike
31:21you know
31:21and them colours
31:22mean a lot to them
31:23so to get it in the podium
31:24was a good touch
31:25fantastic
31:26congratulations Mike
31:27thank you
31:34lap record
31:35and a race win
31:36that's brilliant
31:37right
31:38yeah it's good
31:39yeah the bike
31:39bike was mint
31:40so thanks to all
31:41the pattern team
31:43I just feel good
31:44at the moment
31:44when the bikes are good
31:44and they're working
31:45I'm working real well
31:46so hopefully we can
31:46try and carry that on
31:47we made another big change
31:48to the super bike
31:49so hopefully we can just see
31:50but no just good to
31:51run again in the pattern
31:52do 124 mile an hour
31:54which is I think a full mile an hour
31:56more than even more
31:57than the lap record
31:58from last year
31:58so I didn't feel like
32:00I was overly pushing
32:00that last lap either
32:01I just felt like I was
32:03yeah just felt like
32:04I was still a bit
32:06left in the tank
32:06all right
32:07so real happy with that
32:09I just I didn't think
32:09the lap was that quick
32:10to be honest with you
32:11but obviously it was
32:12so yeah the bike was
32:13the bike was mint
32:14so I'd like to thank
32:15all the lads for that one
32:25so the first ever
32:27sport bike race
32:27into the books then
32:29and alongside it
32:30the name of Michael Dunlop
32:31after the break
32:32it's the big one
32:33we'll show you what happened
32:34in the senior TT
32:57welcome back
32:58one more race
32:59to bring you then
32:59from the Isle of Man TT
33:012026
33:02and after a week
33:03of dodgy weather
33:04conditions were perfect
33:05on Friday afternoon
33:06for the senior TT
33:07Lee and Grace once again
33:09were on the grid
33:11yeah it is an honour
33:13to be stood here
33:14on the grid
33:15for the Isle of Man
33:16senior TT
33:17for 2026 Lee
33:18and once again
33:20we see John McGuinness
33:21wear those special
33:23livery panels
33:24that we see
33:25on his Honda Superbike
33:26we saw it in the
33:27Superbike TT
33:28and once again
33:29for the senior TT
33:30I thought we were
33:31only going to see it once
33:32but we've got to
33:33make the most of that
33:34yeah it's obviously nice
33:35that once they've unveiled
33:37it it'd be a shame
33:38not to try and do
33:38not to do two races
33:40on that bike
33:40so it's really
33:41really beautiful
33:42retro colour scheme
33:43like we spoke about
33:45earlier on in the week
33:46but yeah
33:46the tension up here
33:48we spoke at the
33:48first race today
33:49and it didn't really
33:50feel like race day
33:51it sort of had to
33:52build into it
33:52but believe me now
33:53the feeling on the grid
33:54up here now
33:55everybody knows
33:56on this grid
33:57what is about to happen
33:58and we're also
33:59hearing a note
34:00from the Honda
34:01camp that Dean
34:02has switched bikes
34:03for this as well
34:04yeah Dean's back on
34:05his full Superstock
34:06spec bike now
34:07the only thing
34:08that will have changed
34:09there is the quick
34:10release rear wheels
34:11set up in the back
34:12of that bike
34:14very very minor
34:15change
34:15you won't feel that
34:16as a rider set
34:17and it's just to help
34:18in the pit stop
34:19but the rest of the bike
34:20now is full Superstock
34:21spec
34:21Dean if we could just
34:22grab a word from you
34:23the start's just been
34:24delayed there slightly
34:26we got note
34:27that you've had
34:28a slight change
34:29on your bike here
34:30so what's the plan
34:30for this senior TT
34:32go around as fast
34:34as possible
34:34for four laps
34:35to see where we are
34:36here we go then
34:37John McGuinness
34:38gets his leg
34:39over the legendary
34:40Honda with the number
34:41one on the front
34:42to lead us down
34:43Bray Hill
34:43he's had so much
34:44support this week
34:46legend
34:48green plate
34:49on the front
34:49of the bike
34:50special livery
34:51on it as well
34:52a throwback
34:52to his first ever TT
34:54on a 250 machine
34:55on the third
34:56of three races today
34:57some of these riders
34:58have been out twice
34:58already
35:00not McGuinness though
35:01he's fresh for this one
35:02we're underway
35:03for the senior
35:03this is the one
35:04they all want to win
35:05rear-facing camera
35:06let's ride with
35:07John McGuinness
35:08down Bray Hill
35:09for the first lap
35:10from a standing start
35:1230 years of experience
35:13and yeah
35:14as we say
35:15still as quick as ever
35:16here's his teammate
35:17Dean Harrison
35:17Nathan Harrison
35:18set off just ahead of him
35:20and Dean underway
35:21surely the favourite
35:22Cammy won on the
35:23superbike earlier
35:24this week
35:24big decision though
35:25he's taken the
35:26stocker
35:27no one has been
35:28able to come close
35:29to holding a candle
35:30to Dean Harrison
35:30on the bigger bikes
35:31this week
35:32and he's chosen the
35:33stocker
35:33he thinks it's going
35:34to be that
35:34a little easier
35:35to manage
35:35in what could be
35:36tricky conditions
35:37around the course
35:38for the senior
35:39through the dip
35:40at the bottom
35:41he'll head up
35:41over now
35:41the crest
35:42to Agos
35:42and this man
35:43Michael Dunlop
35:44desperate for a good
35:45result on the big bikes
35:47late decisions
35:47to change Machino
35:48he hasn't gone
35:49his way so far
35:50but he's won
35:51already twice
35:52today remember
35:53so he's absolutely
35:54bang up for it
35:55he certainly knows
35:56his way around
35:56this course
35:57on a Honda
35:57and another Honda
35:59mounted rider there
35:59Josh Brooks
36:00the Dow Racing Honda
36:02he's also had a strong
36:03finish in the senior
36:04in years past
36:05yeah he was on the
36:06podium wasn't he
36:06with Davey Todd
36:07in 24
36:08which was the last
36:09time we had the senior
36:10remember last year
36:11this race was stopped
36:12because the crosswinds
36:13down Bray Hill
36:14were just too strong
36:15for the riders
36:15to take it on
36:16that's right
36:16we've got a much
36:17better condition
36:18for today's race
36:19and bring it on
36:21yeah the roads
36:21have been drying
36:22all day long
36:22the damp patches
36:23have gone
36:23Peter Hickman
36:24been getting quicker
36:25and quicker
36:26as the week's gone on
36:2720 plus practice laps
36:29now he's in his element
36:30this is the one
36:31that will really
36:31want to go for
36:32what's he got
36:33in the locker
36:34this is our first split
36:35so Harrison's
36:35going to come through
36:36and stop the clocks
36:37in Glen Helen
36:37Cam have a look
36:38at the splits
36:39and see how on it
36:39he is
36:41we wait for the sector
36:42time
36:43McGuinness of course
36:44has gone through
36:44already as has
36:45Nathan Harrison
36:46we'll wait
36:47we'll get it in a minute
36:48Coward now
36:48through that same section
36:49yeah Jamie
36:50missing last year's race
36:52due to injury
36:52back with the rapid
36:53Honda team this year
36:54change of manufacturers
36:55and a spell
36:56since he was last year
36:57chose the super stock bike
36:58look Dean Harrison
36:594.11 for the first sector
37:01now the outright sector
37:03record is 4.05
37:05wow
37:06now when you consider
37:07when you come through
37:08that start finishing line
37:09on a flying lap
37:10you're doing 170 miles an hour
37:12that is a very
37:13very quick first sector
37:15from a standing start
37:16got you
37:16yeah of course
37:17you're going to lose
37:17so much momentum
37:18down the hill there
37:20Dunlop
37:20he is also
37:21eyes fully focused
37:23forward
37:23and now Hickman
37:24into the same section
37:25we'll get an idea
37:26of what the splits
37:27are going to look like
37:27once Pete comes through
37:28running at number 10
37:29on the road
37:29one of our big four
37:30of course
37:31Davey Todd
37:31the last senior winner
37:32missing
37:33look at this
37:38that's a wild ride
37:39it is indeed
37:40Harrison leads
37:41by eight seconds
37:42from Brooks
37:43Dunlop
37:43look he's a further
37:44three tenths back
37:45Josh Brooks
37:45is in front of Dunlop
37:46where's Hickman
37:47going to slot in
37:48P2
37:48he's only 4.1 back
37:55so it's Harrison
37:56Hickman
37:56Brooks
37:57Hutchie
37:58and then
37:58was it Dunlop
37:59I think P5
38:00Dunlop's not even
38:01in the podium places
38:02at the minute Cam
38:02he's not at the moment
38:03he obviously hasn't
38:05over the double white lines
38:07he obviously hasn't
38:09solved that issue
38:09they've been having
38:10with the Honda Superbike
38:11as Michael Dunlop
38:12now encounters
38:13Davo Johnson on road
38:14I'd expect it'll be
38:15a big up the inside
38:16pass under brakes
38:17just about
38:18has to get onto
38:19the brakes twice
38:20doesn't he has a look
38:21and then a second grab
38:22I thought he might have
38:23grabbed him under brakes
38:23on the way into
38:24Parliament Square
38:24but he was just up the inside
38:26into Schoolhouse
38:27so Dunlop still means business
38:29but at the minute
38:29the sector time's up there
38:30he's a little bit early
38:31on the turning cam as well
38:32he's not comfortable there
38:33he's turned in too early
38:34so it's not done
38:35what I expected him to
38:37had to change direction
38:39got into the kerb earlier
38:40than he thought
38:40he would
38:41maintain the position
38:42Coward look
38:4226.7 off
38:44and waiting to see
38:45Harrison sector time
38:46309.4
38:48how are we looking?
38:493069
38:50is record pace
38:51but only a couple
38:52of seconds out
38:53considering first lap
38:54looking at the conditions
38:55still some damp patches
38:56around
38:57that's mighty impressive
38:58Hickman
38:59impressive too
39:00so
39:01Pete Hickman
39:02flat out on the run
39:04in
39:04and their big
39:05braking zone down
39:08he does
39:08he looks more into it
39:09doesn't he?
39:10yep he certainly does
39:11each race this week
39:12Pete has looked
39:13that little
39:14little bit more
39:15like his old self
39:17Pete coming out
39:18on the way
39:19see
39:19nowhere near as much
39:20road used
39:21as Dean through there
39:22didn't need to use the road
39:24probably wasn't carrying
39:25just quite as much speed
39:26it's still super fast
39:28oh nice
39:29settles the
39:29bike
39:30under brakes
39:31and 1000 BMW
39:32and he's only a second
39:34off Harrison's pace
39:35it's interesting
39:35when you look at it
39:36how much harder
39:37the risks you have to take
39:39to go that little bit quicker
39:41Harrison
39:42listen for the change
39:42of direction here
39:43this is where the damp patches
39:44might still be
39:45you just see them
39:46in the background
39:46onto Glen Crutchery Road
39:48and absolutely
39:50flat out down here
39:51we know this was going to be
39:52a pretty quick lap
39:53but we
39:53you know
39:54from a standing start
39:55couple of sectors
39:56very close to lap
39:57record pace
39:58Harrison
39:58crosses the line
39:59he will lead
40:00for sure
40:01at the end
40:01of this first lap
40:02but we have another
40:03three to go
40:11that was Jamie Coward
40:13using all the road
40:14Josh Brooks
40:16passing
40:17Michael Dunlop
40:29Dunlop
40:30Harrison
40:30Endersault
40:31straight past
40:32Ginger Hall
40:33stretching his legs
40:34screaming the Honda
40:35and trying to get that
40:36gap out
40:36remember there'll be
40:37a pit stop at the
40:38halfway mark
40:39and we've seen
40:40that hasn't been
40:41Honda's sharpest point
40:42this week
40:42has it Cam
40:43it hasn't
40:44but it's certainly
40:45working well over the bumps
40:46and bumps
40:46indeed is what you get
40:47through that part
40:48of the course
40:48Josh Brooks
40:49already pulled some
40:50good ground
40:51away from Jamie Coward
40:54Dunlop
40:55it'll be in the background
40:56there he is
40:56Dunlop with a jump
40:57and a wheelie
41:00so split times
41:01are pretty close
41:02down to Blaflot
41:02Harrison Hickman
41:03Brooks and Dunlop
41:04all within about
41:05four or five seconds
41:06of each other
41:08is this man
41:09going for the lap record
41:10he certainly looks like it
41:11airborne through
41:12Milltown
41:13two wheel drifting
41:14out to the kerb
41:15so Harrison then
41:16has he made his mind up
41:18that he wants
41:18not only the win
41:19but he's going to have
41:19a crack at the lap record
41:20he'd want to do lap 2
41:21or lap 4 there
41:22the flying starts
41:23lap 4's got a flying finish
41:24for him but
41:25they just want to be
41:26into the pits
41:26on the brakes now
41:28and he's down
41:29into Parliament Square
41:32Dave O'Johnson
41:33and Hickman
41:34very close through
41:35K3
41:35yeah Dave won't know
41:36Pete is there
41:38but he won't want
41:39to waste any time
41:40behind him
41:40in saying that
41:41Dave O'Johnson
41:41is not riding slow
41:42he will not be easy
41:44to pass
41:44as we head down
41:45to Milltown
41:45through this right
41:46flick left
41:47and then we're
41:48on to the Milltown
41:48jump
41:50Hickman stays behind
41:52through this section
41:53there is the crest
41:53yep but he'll grab
41:54the draft now
41:55wind him up
