00:00The RNG Moto4 British Talent Cup and it is race two here in Thruxton.
00:05The riders are ready to rumble for the second time this weekend in Hampshire.
00:09Tyler Humphries in sixth position went well in the first race.
00:15Luke Fitcher has been on some pretty decent form the last couple of rounds
00:19as he finds himself in fifth.
00:22Front of row two championship leader Ryan Frost, the victor yesterday
00:25on a run of three wins in Moto4.
00:28Can you make it four in a row? Jack Dunneby, the closest rival in the championships
00:31and his closest rival from the day on the outside of row one.
00:34Jack Burrows then was the unlucky man in fourth.
00:38It was so close to getting the podium yesterday in second,
00:40but the man on pole, yesterday's third position, fastest lap of the race
00:44in race conditions yesterday will start on pole.
00:50Danny, it's looking like another belter of a race here today.
00:53Yeah, absolutely. We've been looking forward to this one, haven't we?
00:55He had yesterday's action was mental. Ryan Frost got off to a cracking start,
00:59had a massive gap, and once Jack Dunneby got into second place,
01:02the carrot was dangled and they were just trying to hunt him down,
01:05and they did. You know, Jack Dunneby got onto the back of him,
01:08but just a little bit too late.
01:09So, with Ryan Frost starting in four for Dunneby on the front row,
01:12alongside Marco Holt and Jack Burrows, that gives him a better opportunity.
01:16So, I think they're going to try and grab this one with both hands
01:18and get away and not let Ryan go.
01:21Well, that's easier said than done.
01:23Much easier said than done, especially at Froxton.
01:26It's so hard to get a breakaway, and, you know,
01:29hearing their comments yesterday,
01:31the tyre, you know, degradation comes into it.
01:36Well, this is how things stand up after the 13,
01:41the 12 races, sorry, that we've had so far.
01:43And it is Ryan Frost out in front by 26 points in front of Jack Dunneby.
01:47Then, a little way back, Jack Burrows, Marco Holt and Mason Frost
01:50are rounding out the top five.
01:52We've had four different winners across the 2026 season.
01:56Ryan Frost has picked up six.
01:57Jack Dunneby has picked up four.
02:00Those are the two that have really taken this championship
02:03by the scruff of the neck,
02:04but we've had plenty of good performances.
02:06And just a reminder of how things play out.
02:08Holt, Burrows and Dunneby on row one.
02:11Frost, championship leader, Fitchett on some great form,
02:14as is Humphreys in the end of row number two.
02:18Bows, Trevorrow and Remesel, Lomas on row three.
02:21Edmunds, Foster, Foster, little bit sticky
02:24from a time perspective in the first race.
02:26The fifth of the championship finds himself down the order in 11th
02:30as we look down the list.
02:31So, McCartney, Devine, Pohlhill.
02:33Danny, what are you expecting from today?
02:35I know, obviously, the main protagonists have sort of been there
02:38or thereabouts, but are we going to see another sort of big gaggle of riders
02:41or are you expecting it to be just sort of three or four of them?
02:43I think it's going to be stacked again.
02:44It's going to be bar banging.
02:45It's going to be super close.
02:47I think you've got the likes of Marco Holt and Jack Burrows
02:49who need to beat Dunabee and Frost if they've got any hope
02:54of getting this championship sewn up, you know,
02:56or fighting for it at least.
02:57There's two rounds left.
02:58We've got the TT circuit of Assen
02:59and obviously then we've got Donington Park, the final round.
03:02And they can't let Ryan Frost be this consistent.
03:07Let's see if anybody can get the veteran.
03:09As I said, he is on a run of three on the bounce is at Ryan Frost
03:13as he tries to do the double for the second weekend in succession.
03:16We picked up the double in Silverstone a couple of weeks ago.
03:20Flags are flying.
03:22Looking like we're ready to rumble here
03:23with the 22 that are on the grid in the second race.
03:27Marco, Holt, your man on pole.
03:29The lights are on.
03:32And it looks like a great start there from Jack Burrows in second,
03:35getting the better of Holt.
03:36Dunabee going well as well.
03:38Dunabee then from the outside of row one to lead
03:40coming around the first turn.
03:44Ryan Frost, look at that, trying to keep him at bay.
03:46Can't do it.
03:47He's up into second already.
03:49What a start.
03:49Look at Ryan Frost up inside into the first opportunity.
03:52He's got Marco Holt there in first.
03:54Burrows got to a lightning start
03:56but just seemed to suffer a little bit out of turn one there.
03:59Not quite sure what happened.
04:00Tyler, but Humphreys out the inside as well.
04:02Yeah, we're going to have an exciting race.
04:04He's front three already.
04:05Look, trying to get themselves away.
04:07And I think these three are going to be the main fighters in this race.
04:10I think Burrows has the pace as well.
04:12Maybe not in the latter parts of the latter stage of the race
04:15but definitely at the start of the race.
04:19Everybody managing to make it through.
04:21Thankfully, nice wide track for these guys
04:23to find their own bit of space.
04:25But it's Frost Dunabee, Holt, that leading three.
04:28A bit of a gap between Humphreys and Burrow.
04:30Fitchett also in amongst it.
04:34I'm looking forward to seeing what Fitchett can do.
04:36He showed great pace from the back of the grid yesterday.
04:38He got himself up to sixth place in the race.
04:40So I really feel like Fitchett can be a little bit of a menace in this
04:45and maybe spoil their fun.
04:46But look at Holt making note.
04:48Oh, they're not going to let Ryan Frost get away like they did yesterday.
04:51No way.
04:53And this is proving to be very similar
04:57in terms of the action going on at club chicane.
05:00Marco Holt second to Dunabee.
05:02Please see how we get on.
05:06There's that tiny little gap forming between Frost and Burrow.
05:10But they need to get themselves back onto this group.
05:13We know that that next little gaggle has also got the pace,
05:16has also got the speed in terms of lap time.
05:19But they're going to have to get back in touch with that leading set.
05:22But what's a different concept altogether now in this race
05:24is the fact that Dunabee is leading.
05:26Whereas Ryan Frost went out, you know, he rooted his tyre.
05:29He wasn't too bothered about his tyre.
05:31Now they're pushing Jack Burrows to do that, you know.
05:34So Burrows had, sorry, not Burrows, Dunabee.
05:36Dunabee had great pace yesterday.
05:39And, you know, I don't think he had any signs of dropping off his tyre.
05:42He had a lot of pace towards the end of the race as well.
05:44But look at that super wide line by Marco Holt there.
05:48Let's see if Jack Burrows can get back onto the, you know,
05:51back of this lead trio and take the fight to them.
05:54Because at the minute he's just being held up a little bit by Humphreys there.
06:01Slotted right in that slip, streams his barrel.
06:04Humphreys tries to defend.
06:06But it looks like in the background of this,
06:07we might see a little move up there.
06:09His barrels, he tries to make up that gap.
06:11Nice move from Holt on Frost as well.
06:14And pretty much from a group of three to a group of five momentarily.
06:19And Fitcher, if he can get on the back of those two as well.
06:21There he is, number seven, as he tries to find his way through.
06:24Great battle there.
06:25Absolutely taking no prisoners round turn one.
06:29Yeah, Jack Burrows knew that he needed to just,
06:32he couldn't let Humphreys back through there
06:34because it would just make it a little bit,
06:37a little bit harder to get onto the back of this lead group.
06:40So he was pretty forceful there.
06:42He sort of dropped his knee on him, dropped his shoulder down
06:44and was like, no, that's my line.
06:46And I'm taking it.
06:47Oh, I know that these guys aren't short of racecraft.
06:50Even at their young age, they're absolutely on it.
06:52They know what they're doing.
06:54They know how to pass hard but fair
06:56and protect themselves at the same time.
07:00Here's Burrell.
07:01There's Humphreys and Fitcher as we looked back down to,
07:05I think it's Trevorrow as well in amongst that next little battle
07:09with Bowes as well.
07:13But Dunabee, this is what Dunabee needed.
07:15As you said, in race one, it was Frost that got away
07:17and Dunabee was just relentlessly trying to catch him back up,
07:20run out of laps,
07:21but he's trying his best to sort of be the guy getting away this time.
07:24Yeah, they are.
07:25But the others might have some other ideas.
07:26Yeah, look, Ryan Frost to the lead.
07:28Who's going to be latest on the brakes?
07:31Holt doesn't want to let Dunabee back in line.
07:33Nice.
07:34But, you know, we talk of the likes of Marco Holt being rookies.
07:37They are complete rookies to this championship, you know,
07:39never ridden around Thruxton before.
07:41It'll be his first time here this weekend.
07:43And, you know, it's a fantastic effort to come here
07:46and to be competing against the likes of Dunabee
07:50and Ryan Frost straight away on their first race weekend here at Thruxton.
07:54And, you know, they won't make any excuses up for themselves,
07:56and I love it.
07:57And, you know, I'm not going to make no excuses up for them either.
08:00And that's the kind of mentality they've got.
08:02It doesn't matter if they're rookies here or not.
08:03They want to win.
08:04And I absolutely love that.
08:07Group of six then fighting for the podiums here.
08:10Out in front, championship leader set the best lap of the race.
08:1321-6.
08:14Oh, that's close for you there.
08:17Look who's now joined the party.
08:18The Burrows, Humphreys and Fitchett gang.
08:21Yep.
08:21So there we go.
08:22Six of them all battling through with 14 laps.
08:25Battling already on halfway around lap four.
08:30Oh, what a different line that was.
08:32Seemed it very tight was Burrow as he tries to get out the inside of Holt.
08:35Holt holds on to his position and stays strong round the outside.
08:42Holt then powers his way through.
08:45Great drive off the exit of Church there.
08:50Burrows into the lead.
08:52Oh, my goodness.
08:53Oh, breathe, everyone.
08:55Fitchett coming in hot as well.
08:58What a move that was for Fitchett.
08:59Just showing that you could ride the outside there was quick.
09:03Yeah, and Tyler Humphreys didn't care.
09:05No.
09:05Just shut the door back on him again.
09:07Absolutely not.
09:08He might be going quick, but you don't have a bit of track.
09:10Yeah, just alluding to what you were talking about earlier, Ed.
09:12These kids, they're riding bikes all the time.
09:15They're riding minibikes as much as they can.
09:17They go to Spain in the off-season.
09:18They're riding as much as they can.
09:19They ride R6s around go-kart tracks, you know.
09:22Obviously, none of that comes without spending loads of money,
09:24and this is what these kids are always asking for sponsorship,
09:27to fund their training and stuff,
09:28because to be this competitive, they have to be on bikes all the time.
09:32And the road to MotoGP, you know, if they end up being MotoGP riders,
09:35they need to be riding bikes at least three times a week.
09:38And that's what all the sponsorship sort of funding goes to,
09:41as well as they're helping them fund their actual rides themselves.
09:45Well, they're putting on a great show, great shop window.
09:47For those that want to get involved in motor racing and motorcycle racing more specifically,
09:52that's...
09:53Oh!
09:54So Frost almost goes dirty.
09:55So many different lines.
09:57Look, nearly dirt track in there down into Church.
10:00Who's going to get the best drive?
10:01I've got a feeling Marco Holt's put himself at the back there on purpose.
10:05Let's see.
10:06This is a long, straight uphill.
10:12Just got to hold your breath.
10:13Don't you see how this one plays out?
10:14But Dunnaby going well out in front.
10:16Then Frost.
10:17Oh, tough move as Humphreys having to go around the outside as Marco Holt put in a tough path,
10:22just about sneaking inside the track limit.
10:23It's going to compromise him onto the start.
10:25Finish straight, though, for Marco Holt.
10:27As you see, Tyler Humphreys trying to go up the inside, does go up the inside.
10:30Fitchett trying to follow him through there as well.
10:34Oh, wow.
10:35They are just pushing on.
10:38And Fitchett, look.
10:40Just.
10:43Sorry.
10:44Yeah, Dunnaby there.
10:44Justin and Frost just putting on a fantastic effort.
10:47Well, these two, out of the 12 rounds, have won 10 races between them.
10:51The consistency has been exceptional.
10:55And at the moment, they are dusting off, getting ready for a real scramble come the latter stages of this
11:03one.
11:03Got a bit of fresh air between Frost and the, well, now Marco Holt as it keeps changing around.
11:09But let's see if Holt still should get a bit of a toe if he can find, if he can
11:15find it.
11:16But those front two just managing to stay clean in terms of the passing that's going on here, Danny.
11:21Not tripping each other up at this point and are making a bit of a march on it.
11:25Yeah.
11:25And do you know what?
11:26I feel so sorry for Jack Dunnaby.
11:28I don't feel so sorry for him.
11:29But the fact that he's had one DNF and he's got that points, you know, where Ryan Frost has been
11:33super, super consistent.
11:35He's had one DNF and it's just dropped him down into, you know, 20-odd points behind Ryan Frost.
11:41And there's been nothing between them both on circuit.
11:44They've been so fast, they've been so consistent all year.
11:46And it just shows you when you're racing somebody like Ryan Frost, who's that consistent, you have to finish.
11:52Oh, at the inside of Burrows.
11:56That's a move that they, they seem to like that move, don't they?
11:59Oh, they're not scared.
12:00They are not scared.
12:01And look, Burrows is going to repay the favour here.
12:03Let the brake off.
12:04Lovely reaction.
12:05And look, up the inside of Frost.
12:09Oh, he tried it.
12:11He tried it.
12:12Burrows fastest lap of the race, 121.571.
12:17Not hanging about.
12:20Well, through to the next little group thing, that's Day, the front of that next group, Day Cooper.
12:26Edmunds Foster, who's recovered nicely from 11th on the grid, but could deal with a few more points.
12:32The man fifth in the championships.
12:34Three seconds, though, the gap between Humphreys and Day.
12:37But the front of the race, where the action's happening.
12:40Six riders all looking for those podium spots.
12:43Humphreys just at the back of it.
12:44He's been going quick.
12:45He's been putting down some quick lap times.
12:47Don't count anybody out of this one.
12:51Fitchett back into the fight as well.
12:52You know, Fitchett said yesterday, coming from the back of the grid, he was ready to fight.
12:59And look, he's up to third place, the rookie.
13:00We've got two rookies now inside the top five.
13:04Top six.
13:05Sorry, I can't count.
13:06Again, losing my marbles.
13:08We do know you're Mr. Maths.
13:10Very quick at maths.
13:12In front, Marco Holt.
13:14Let's see what he can do as he's getting himself to front.
13:16I'm not sure he'll be at the front for too long.
13:18The chapping and changing all over the place.
13:22You just don't know where to look or who's going to win or who's got the upper hand.
13:26Ryan Frost must be thinking, come on, yesterday's race was a lot easier than this.
13:29I know he had to, you know, he had to try his best to just manage that.
13:36That pit bull gap coming down further and further.
13:41Here comes Fitcher then trying to get up the inside of Holt.
13:44It looks like he's created himself a little bit of room into second position.
13:48Best of what we've seen him so far in this race.
13:50He's an absolute belter of a job yesterday, didn't he, Danny, from the back of the grid to find his
13:54way up into the sharp end of things.
13:57And now he's proven that he is absolutely here to stand on that podium.
14:01Yeah, that would be an amazing weekend for him.
14:04He said there was a little issue, I think, with the bike and couldn't get it going and had to,
14:08you know, to start.
14:09They got it going eventually.
14:10The team did a great job to do that.
14:12And, yeah, these RS racing bikes, you know, there's not a lot that Ryan Saxonby doesn't know about motorbike racing.
14:17And, you know, he's raised up the car ride through the racing paddock.
14:20Oh, my God, I can't even hold my breath anymore.
14:24He's just sort of watching his suits off.
14:27Half closed eyes as you just hope that they all manage to make it through.
14:30Is it Burrows to the front then?
14:32Frost still there, still the man that's just the thorn in the side of everybody.
14:35And he's back to the front of things as Marco Holt tries to get the back of Burrows.
14:40Fitchett's still there.
14:41Dunabee just taking stock in the back in fifth.
14:44Burrows sets the fast snap of the race.
14:46At the moment, Humphreys just can't seem to find a way through.
14:49He's got some good pace as the man at the back of this leading set of races,
14:54but just can't find his way through to use the pace that we've seen from him.
14:59Ryan Frost isn't even, it's not like he's winning these races
15:03or banging this championship run together by just being risk of, like,
15:07he's not risk averse at all.
15:08He's hanging it out, he's battling, he's elbows out, you know,
15:11he's having a right, good go.
15:13He's not just riding around in the back of this group trying to stay out of trouble,
15:16you know what I mean?
15:16And he's not done that anywhere.
15:18He's riding like a true champion.
15:19And I think that's what's so exciting about when you see him on the grid,
15:22you think he's ready for it.
15:23And, yeah, he's showing that when he turns up and rides.
15:25Incredible consistency.
15:27And we've seen actually all weekend from everybody pretty much
15:31that just the level of skill as they're doing these exceptional lap times
15:36and the tight proximity of all the other riders,
15:39pinpoint accurate and managing to keep everything clean and tidy
15:41as everybody closes their eyes, pretty much coming into club.
15:44Fitch it to the lead.
15:45Holt trying to get it stopped in.
15:47Dunabee then into third position.
15:49Frost has found himself all of a sudden back in fourth.
15:54Fitch it at the front.
15:55Marco Holt right on his heels.
15:58Yeah, and Burrow's back to fifth.
16:01It's just the way this race is going.
16:04And, yeah, I don't know.
16:05I mean, if somebody asks me now who my money's on,
16:08I don't really know.
16:10You know, you can't bet against Dunabee.
16:11You can't bet against Holt.
16:13You can't bet against Frost.
16:15But equally, Fitch it, you know, they're all in there.
16:18And the guys that aren't in the championship race,
16:22well, we've still got a few rounds left,
16:24but aren't at the sharp end of the championship now.
16:26Obviously, less to lose.
16:27Maybe mine just fancy sticking out the inside
16:30with a little bit more of a forceful move, shall we say?
16:33Yeah, sometimes in these situations,
16:34I just think, who'd Steve Day pick?
16:39Don't know.
16:39No, I'm not asking.
16:42Right then, look at these lot.
16:44Humphries at the moment just hanging on.
16:47Quite feel like he's just got that speed.
16:50Certainly still in the hunt.
16:51Great to see if he can just find his way through.
16:54There he is, tucked in nicely.
16:55Can he find his way through?
16:56It's all about being late on the breaks into club,
16:58as we've seen so often.
17:00But you've got to try and pick your way through.
17:02Let's see what they've got as they come down into club.
17:06Towards the end of lap 10,
17:07Dunabee then leads from Frost, from Holt, from Fitch it.
17:11Burrows and Humphries.
17:12Good battle for them for fifth and sixth at the moment.
17:16On to the start of lap 11 of 14.
17:19Frost back to the front.
17:20And Frost, the only one this year to finish all the races.
17:23And he has done so in a commanding fashion.
17:26So that just shows you the level of consistency
17:29and how he's won the race.
17:30And when you're Dunabee and you're going against it,
17:32you've got that speed.
17:33You cannot afford any DNFs.
17:35Yeah, he's only missed the podium once.
17:37Yeah, yeah.
17:38And that is the form that he's on.
17:40And if that's his worst day,
17:41that's why he will be crowned champion.
17:42So, yeah, very deserved.
17:44And I know the MLab FibreTech team there
17:47are super happy with what he's been doing.
17:52Alcohol all ready to pounce.
17:54This is going to go all the way through,
17:56as we expect, all the way through to the end.
17:58This battle for the podium.
18:01Six riders looking for those three spots.
18:03Look, all looking for that top step.
18:07Look how tucked in they are.
18:08There's not a bit of air.
18:11Not going over them there.
18:13Look how tucked in they are.
18:15Fantastic.
18:18Here we go, back into club.
18:20These two sussing each other out,
18:23all looking for those opportunities to pass.
18:25Or is it certainly a line that allows you
18:27to be on the outside of this first one?
18:29You've got to be super brave
18:30to be able to get back to the apex
18:32of the second part of club
18:34before exiting onto that start-finish straight.
18:39Six tenths of a second,
18:41separating the top six.
18:47And no one's got an advantage anywhere.
18:49No one looks significantly better anywhere.
18:51They all look very well matched.
18:54And that is the beauty of Thruxham as well,
18:55is it just, you know,
18:57you think you're starting to get away
18:58and then somebody's got the elastic band
19:00around you on the start,
19:01on the straight,
19:02you're back again.
19:03And it's like,
19:04oh, I just want to get away.
19:05And it can be a frustrating race,
19:07but you've just got to, you know,
19:09sit and be patient.
19:11Battle for seven.
19:12Look at that.
19:13Clayton Edmonds at the front.
19:14Remesel Lomas, Foster, Day,
19:16Trevorrow, Cooper,
19:17another massive set of riders.
19:20Look at that.
19:20There's going to be, what,
19:2110, 12 of them
19:22in that little hunt.
19:24All looking for seventh position.
19:27It's the sixteenth.
19:28Look at this.
19:29Just this place
19:31just sets the scene
19:33for some absolutely brilliant racing.
19:36Mason Foster,
19:37fifth in the championship,
19:38needs to finish in that seventh,
19:40you'd say,
19:41to pick up as many points as possible.
19:43Oh, wow.
19:44Here we go.
19:45Back to the front.
19:46Yeah, look out.
19:48Marco Holt to the front.
19:49Dunnabee on the back of Frost as well.
19:51Fitchett, Burrows,
19:53and then Humphreys finds his way past Burrows.
19:56An ultimate lap of the race.
19:58About to be started.
20:02Frost likes that move into turn one, doesn't it?
20:04I was just about to say,
20:05he carries a lot of momentum
20:06out of that last chicane
20:07and he's able to really drive hard
20:09along the start-finish straight there.
20:11And Luke Fitchett's just on the fastest lap
20:14of the race by a tenth there,
20:15which was showing his pace.
20:17And look at him,
20:17round the outside, Marco Holt.
20:20Oh, as well as Humphreys there
20:22making some moves.
20:22Maybe he listened to your comments
20:24and he thought,
20:25right, I need to get my elbows out
20:26and get amongst it.
20:27Come on, Humphreys.
20:28Let's sing it, dude.
20:28But Ryan Frost, yeah,
20:29he's really good out of that chicane.
20:31Really carrying the momentum
20:32onto the start-finish
20:33and he's able to park himself
20:34up the inside.
20:36Oh, we saw back markers
20:37coming into play
20:39in race one yesterday.
20:41Let's hope that O'Gorman
20:44keeps his eyes peeled
20:46as this leading group of riders
20:48come round onto that
20:49back straight
20:50for the penultimate time.
20:53Yeah, we can see O'Gorman there.
20:55Younger brother of Casey O'Gorman.
20:57I don't know if he's out of the way
20:58or in the way.
20:59I'm not quite sure.
21:00I can't see too much there.
21:01But the leaders will get past him
21:03pretty quickly
21:04and safely, hopefully.
21:10Oh, yeah, safely, hopefully.
21:12Oh, a little sit up there
21:13as Frost tries to get out of the way
21:15and he's up the inside.
21:17Oh, he's in the way.
21:17He's right in the middle.
21:18That's exactly where they didn't
21:19want to catch him
21:20through that club.
21:23Oh, a section.
21:24And that's given Frost
21:25the breathing space.
21:26It's now half a second
21:27as they cross the line
21:28onto that final lap.
21:29But Dunabee behind him.
21:30Holt then behind him.
21:31Those are your podium performers
21:33at the moment.
21:34Humphreys then in fourth.
21:35Burrows and Fitchett.
21:36Oh, that's Mason Foster down.
21:41Oh, nasty one.
21:42Luckily walking away.
21:43Hopefully he's all right.
21:44Seems to be getting off
21:45under his own steam.
21:47But back to the front
21:48as we're coming through.
21:49Ryan Frost trying to make it
21:51four in a row
21:51and he's got the daylight.
21:53He's got the fresh air.
21:54Dunabee hunts him back in.
21:56Here we go for a chicane.
21:58He looks like he's gone across.
21:59Looks like he caught the curve
22:01himself actually.
22:03Great heads up riding
22:04by the youngsters there
22:04to avoid him.
22:06But it just looked like
22:07that back marker
22:08has given Ryan Frost
22:09a few attempts
22:10to just not allow them
22:11to slipstream him here.
22:13So Frost is going to try
22:16and make it a double.
22:17Oh, looks like Frost
22:18has got that fresh air
22:20that he'll be hoping for.
22:21Marco Holt trying to get up
22:22the inside of Dunabee
22:23onto that back straight.
22:24I don't think the win's there
22:26for the taking
22:27unless something special happens
22:28for that chasing duo.
22:30But Marco Holt trying
22:31to go up the inside.
22:32Dunabee tries to shut the door.
22:34Marco Holt second bite
22:35the Cherries are pushing wide.
22:36Frost out in front.
22:37Looks like Frost is going to make it
22:38two from two and four
22:39on the bounce.
22:40Marco Holt in second
22:41and Jack Dunabee managing
22:43to get onto third position
22:44and then Burrows,
22:46Humphreys and Fitchett.
22:47I think it was.
22:48Yeah, Humphreys and Fitchett
22:50that leading sixth
22:51and then we're into
22:51this next little battle, Danny
22:53and everything's still to play for
22:54through this final chicane.
22:56Yep, Harrison Day there
22:57across the inside there.
22:58Is he going to get it to the line?
23:01Remusel Lomas
23:01looks like he's got it
23:02in front of Clayton Edmonds.
23:03Bows, Trevor O'Day,
23:06Cooper.
23:07McCartney to find Apollo
23:08crossing the line.
23:09Top 15 now.
23:10The top 15.
23:1117 seconds.
23:13Who won the race though, Ed?
23:15Another 24 race win
23:16for Ryan Frost
23:18and he's just that consistent.
23:21You know, fantastic.
23:22Able to drop back from the pack,
23:24bring himself back to the front.
23:25There was that mishap
23:26with the back marker.
23:27Caught the other guys out.
23:29He capitalised on that
23:30and wins the race.
23:31Yeah, fantastic.
23:32And fantastic result
23:33by Marco Holt as well.
23:35P2, you know, rookie season.
23:37Debut time here at Froxton
23:39and he's managed just
23:40to chuck another podium there.
23:42So, yeah, fantastic.
23:44Yeah, brilliant stuff
23:46and Ryan Frost
23:47extends his lead by
23:48I think it'll be nine points.
23:53That'll be not waiting around
23:54on the in lap.
23:56Probably not too happy
23:57with that finish.
24:00But, of course, he's not happy.
24:01He wants to win.
24:02That's what they're there to do.
24:04I can sort of feel
24:06that championship
24:06just sort of getting
24:09taken away by this man.
24:12Incredible consistency.
24:15And to be fair, Danny,
24:16it's been really,
24:19really great to watch these guys.
24:20Just the race craft
24:22that they've already got,
24:23as you say,
24:23doing all the different
24:24skill sets across the bikes,
24:26all the different classes.
24:28Brilliant.
24:28Yeah, and he's going to extend
24:29that to a 31-point lead now
24:32in the championship,
24:33which is just fantastic.
24:34You know, with four races
24:35left to go,
24:36that is exactly what you need.
24:39And, yeah,
24:41well, five races to go.
24:42Sorry, they've got three
24:42at Donington Park.
24:44So, yeah, fantastic effort
24:48there by Ryan Frost
24:48and that's exactly
24:49what he needed to do.
24:50You know, he's getting
24:51the job done.
24:51At this point in the championship,
24:52winning races is just a cherry
24:54because you're just
24:56adding more points
24:57to your championship fight.
24:59A bit frustrating, though,
25:01that that marker
25:02maybe had a bit of a say
25:03in what was going on there.
25:05Yeah, I think for Dunabee,
25:06especially,
25:07I think Dunabee
25:07would be fuming with that,
25:08but it's part of racing.
25:09You know, it happens.
25:10It can happen to him.
25:11It can happen to Ryan.
25:12It can happen to anyone.
25:13It's just a bit of,
25:14you know, luck of the draw.
25:16Yeah, they did catch.
25:17They did catch right
25:18at the wrong point
25:19right through club.
25:22Well, let's have a look
25:23at those standings
25:24of the second race
25:26of the weekend
25:26for the Moto4 British Cup.
25:28Ryan Frost,
25:29another win.
25:29Double winner here
25:30on the Fibre Tech Honda
25:32by MLAV Racing
25:33in front of Marco Holt
25:34and the City Lifting
25:34RS Racing Bike
25:35just over a tenth
25:37of a second.
25:37Jack Dunabee
25:38on the Kavara Projects
25:39RS Racing Bike
25:40in third position.
25:41Then, it was such a good
25:42battle between the six riders.
25:44Burrows, Humphreys
25:44and Fitchett
25:45couldn't find the podiums,
25:47but incredible racing
25:47from their top six
25:49separated by just
25:50over one and a half seconds.
25:52Remesel Lomas
25:53winning that little battle
25:54between the next set
25:56of races,
25:57seven through to 16th,
25:59that next load of riders
26:01and load of racing.
26:02So, brilliant to see.
26:03Fantastic effort
26:04from all the guys
26:05as they work their way
26:08through, guys and girls,
26:09obviously,
26:09as they work their way
26:10through the results.
26:12This is the second race
26:12and this then,
26:13how those results
26:14affect the championship
26:15as we come through
26:16to the business end
26:17of this one.
26:18It is Ryan Frost
26:20that now has a 35-point lead
26:22in front of Jack Dunabee
26:24with Jack Burrows
26:25still in third position
26:26at 87 points back.
26:28Marco Holt moving up
26:29and getting himself
26:29closer to those
26:31season podium performance.
26:32Fitchett going well.
26:33Foster with a no-point score
26:35drops down a spot.
26:36Tyler Humphreys,
26:37Bowes,
26:38Harrison Dayton,
26:39Clayton Edmonds
26:40rounding out
26:40the top ten.
26:42Danny,
26:43some very happy riders
26:44out there,
26:44some great consistency
26:45and they'll already
26:46be looking forward
26:47to getting across
26:48to Asin.
26:50Yeah,
26:50100%.
26:52Asin is an absolute
26:55cracker of a circuit
26:56and on the small
26:57little 250s round there,
26:59they're going to be
27:00so much fun.
27:00So, yeah,
27:01I'm expecting lots
27:02of elbows out,
27:03lots of battles
27:04and a lot of good fun
27:05racing.
27:10Well, mate,
27:11it looked like you
27:11judged that just about
27:12perfectly.
27:13Got our way there
27:13towards the end.
27:14Six-rider battle.
27:15You've come out on top
27:16again for a Thruxton
27:17double.
27:17How are you feeling?
27:18Yeah,
27:18to do four in a row
27:19now is quite special
27:20and to get bumped up
27:21to the most successful
27:22BTC rider is really
27:23an honour,
27:24but no,
27:25I couldn't have done
27:25this without my team
27:26and my mum especially.
27:27She makes everything
27:28possible for me
27:29and no,
27:30we've had a good
27:30couple of rounds
27:31but we're just hoping
27:32to do this again
27:34at Asin,
27:35but we'll see.
27:36Well,
27:36Asin will be a great
27:36track for you.
27:37I look forward to
27:37seeing you out there
27:38and congratulations
27:38on the double
27:39at Thruxton.
27:40Yeah,
27:48Well,
27:48there you go.
27:49Heard it from himself.
27:50He's in such brilliant
27:51form as Ryan Frost.
27:53Two wins
27:54on the bounce here.
27:56Four wins in a row
27:57across the last two
28:00and that championship
28:01lead looking substantial
28:02now at 35 points,
28:04giving himself a bit
28:05of breathing space
28:05into the last five races.
28:07Two rounds left
28:08to go before
28:09his dream could be
28:11fulfilled of picking up
28:12the Moto 4 title.
28:14Very impressive stuff
28:15and he will have
28:17thoroughly enjoyed
28:18their racing
28:19over this weekend
28:20as pretty much
28:20every rider
28:21in the classes
28:22has done
28:22because it has been
28:25a real
28:28showing of some
28:29quality riding
28:30but nobody could
28:31live with the pace.
28:32Ryan Frost got away
28:33from everybody
28:33in race one.
28:34Second race,
28:35he had to battle
28:36his way through
28:38positions swapping
28:39pretty much every corner
28:41and brilliant stuff
28:42to see him make
28:43his way through
28:44and pick up
28:45another victory.
28:48But Danny,
28:49they've got a few,
28:50five more races
28:51still to go
28:52in their championship.
28:54What have they got to do
28:55to try and get
28:56the better of him?
28:56They've tried
28:57giving him a bit of space
28:58hoping that he wears
28:59himself out.
29:00They've tried
29:00multiple riders
29:01taking lumps out of him
29:03around the circuits
29:04and nothing seems
29:05to be working right now.
29:06Yeah, sorry Ed,
29:06I was just putting
29:07my socks back on
29:07after using my toes
29:08to count as well
29:09as my hands
29:09in the maths there.
29:11Yeah, I mean
29:12they've got to just,
29:14it's very difficult.
29:15They've got to try
29:16and beat him
29:16which sounds really
29:18simple but he's
29:19doing such a good
29:20job to keep him
29:21behind and to just
29:22rise to every
29:23occasion.
29:24So maybe
29:24He just has the answers
29:26doesn't he?
29:26He feels he's got the answers.
29:27We might have a little
29:28bit of rain in Assen.
29:29There might be a little
29:30bit of that at the end
29:31of this season
29:31which comes into play
29:32and again it would
29:34just be up to him
29:35to rise to the occasion
29:36but Jack Dunabee
29:37there doesn't look
29:37too happy with
29:38third place.
29:40There is Dunabee
29:41making his way
29:42to the podium.
29:42A bit frustrated
29:44but still a good weekend.
29:45Two podiums for him.
29:46Second in race one,
29:47third in race two
29:49and a handy point score
29:50but not what he was
29:52hoping for today.
29:52He wanted to close
29:53the gap and it's
29:54gone the other way.
29:55An extra nine points
29:56taken away
29:57from this one
29:58for our championship
30:00leader.
30:00Marco Holt on the
30:01podium again.
30:01He's been really
30:02consistent as Marco Holt
30:04and he's picked up
30:04one win this season.
30:05a bunch of podiums
30:06as well
30:07but it's this man
30:08that seems to have
30:09the answers to all
30:10the questions posed
30:11by him
30:12and Ryan Frost
30:14is getting very used
30:15to picking up trophies
30:17and standing on that
30:17top step of the podium.
30:20Yeah, he's just took
30:21a step from last year
30:22to this year.
30:23You know,
30:24Dunabee
30:24and Ethan Sparks
30:27was fantastic last year
30:29as well as the other guys
30:31and there was a lot
30:31of learning for Ryan
30:32Frost there
30:32and he took that
30:33and he's come back
30:34and just shown
30:35true dominant fashion,
30:36you know,
30:37and the most important
30:38point in the championship
30:39he's winning races
30:40so he stayed super consistent.
30:42You know,
30:42he can look back
30:43at his championship
30:43and see the points
30:45he's scored
30:45and I don't think
30:47he's going to be
30:48too disappointed
30:48with that.
30:49Yeah,
30:49third in the championship
30:50last season,
30:51two wins
30:52and 12 podiums
30:53this year.
30:54He's been flying
30:54seven wins so far
30:56with five rounds
30:57left to go.
30:57Five races left to go,
30:59Ed.
30:59A lot can still happen,
31:00you know,
31:00so it's,
31:02yeah,
31:02it's not over
31:03till it's over.
