00:00:01Hello there, welcome to Brands Hatch, highlights on the way of round five of the British Superbike Championship and a
00:00:08celebration of 100 years of racing here at this iconic British circuit.
00:00:13Some stars of the past remembered, but today is all about the stars of the present, none more so than
00:00:18the defending British Superbike Champion Kyle Ride, who set a stunning lap record on his way to pole position for
00:00:25race one with Scott Redding and Max Cook alongside him on the front row.
00:00:29James Whitton and Steve Day were in the commentary box.
00:00:33The red flag is removed, it's eyes on the lights and away we go, Christian Hiddens got away very well
00:00:39from the second row, Glen Irwin likewise actually from a few rows back, but it will be Kyle Ride surely
00:00:44that just nudges it into turn one, he closes the door and Scott Redding to lead.
00:00:49Yeah he didn't over to party right, he did make a good start.
00:00:52Brandy Ray there trying to fish his way past the Senkat Yamaha of Christian Hiddens, so it's as you were
00:00:57there and Richard Kerr,
00:00:59unfortunately goes down at Druids, he's furious as well, he can't restart.
00:01:03He can't restart, he can pick the back up and get it out of the way, but he's not allowed
00:01:06to restart the race.
00:01:07Immediately attacking here is Scott Redding underneath, Kyle Ride into Sertis, the door was open there.
00:01:12Yes he was, and he's pounced early on to lead onto the back straight.
00:01:16You're always a bit careful in there first lap, you've done your side laps in your warm-up lap, however
00:01:20you're just a bit delicate with that front end first left-hander.
00:01:23Max Kirk there is in third and not messing around either on the AJ and still stop the motor.
00:01:28Yeah, been a revelation that bike this year just how good it is at Circus that we didn't think it
00:01:33might suit, but it has, look at him.
00:01:35Really good to see the sky blue Senkat colours at the sharp end as well in the hands of Christian
00:01:39Hiddens.
00:01:39Yeah, not just for the team, but that Christian with our goodies and how dedicated and how much work he
00:01:43puts into his racing.
00:01:44Yeah, in Snetterton a few weeks back he said, I was starting to think it was me, Kyle Ride, thought
00:01:48about a sneaky move there.
00:01:49Yeah, the problem is, because of the camber, if you're trying to get inside of somebody, if they haven't seen
00:01:53it, they come across so quick.
00:01:54He's just lost momentum as a result of that as well.
00:01:57Yeah, yeah.
00:01:57This is going to give maybe Max Cook a bit of an opportunity.
00:02:00It is, and Kyle could really do without that, be good for Max, but that man, Scott Redding, has been
00:02:06putting fast laps in really quickly in every single session.
00:02:11In our commentary box we have time screens with all of the sectors, if it flashes up in yellow it's
00:02:16a personal, sorry, green, it's a personal best.
00:02:19If it goes purple, it's faster than anyone.
00:02:21Kyle Ride is responding well on this lap, but it's so interesting to see.
00:02:25Purple everywhere.
00:02:26It's kind of sector one, Kyle Strong, sector two, Scott Strong, it's two-in and three-in.
00:02:32Yep.
00:02:32But this has been a good response on this lap here, on lap two, from Kyle Ride, to try and
00:02:39bridge that gap.
00:02:40And he's just put in the fastest lap of the race as well, a 24-7 full-time.
00:02:44Yeah, although he went faster than anybody ever has around here at a 23-9, the actual lap record that
00:02:51has to be set in a race, remember, is a 24-6-6, so that's getting somewhere near.
00:02:55Yeah.
00:02:56Over the line, and again, a 24.5-6-5 now for Kyle Ride, and that's, again, the fastest lap
00:03:03of the race.
00:03:04So, Reading not able to peel away at present.
00:03:08Yeah, 24-4-6-6, that's getting very near to that record.
00:03:12Max Cook still just about in contention there, but hanging on in third, and it's Iden and Ray.
00:03:17Max, we've seen him hanging on at Snerton and other places, but when he gets in a battle, he just
00:03:25seems to have a look.
00:03:27Brad Ray having a look, and that's pushed Christian, that did the job for Brad did that.
00:03:32Christian, wide at 13.
00:03:35So, Brad Ray then moves up into fourth place.
00:03:39Yeah, look at this, this is Aslam on Christian Eden, and that was all done on straight line speed.
00:03:44There's not a lot of difference, a couple of bike lengths, but that is what makes the pass possible.
00:03:51Glenn Irwin is closing up on this group as well, just in the background there, he's got Ryan Vickers for
00:03:57company.
00:03:57Really best with Glenn, we know he's a hard man, we know he wants a race, he's really nothing to
00:04:03gain by being here and making his physical condition worse,
00:04:07because this is hard work, but he wants to race, and he's going well.
00:04:11Yeah, it was a painful, punishing crash, wasn't it?
00:04:13Yeah.
00:04:14Two weeks ago.
00:04:15You know what, crashes like that, yes, it didn't break anything, that doesn't mean that you're not beaten up.
00:04:20You remember what it's like, it's like you've been in a flipping stone-crushing machine sometimes, and nothing brought.
00:04:25Certainly wouldn't be back here in two weeks.
00:04:28On that last lap, I don't know if Kyle made an error in the final sector or not, but a
00:04:3224-8 is his slowest lap of the race so far.
00:04:35That's just given Redding a bit of breathing space.
00:04:38Yeah, because it was Redding's quickest lap of the race, and almost the same as, yeah, it's almost identical within
00:04:45a couple of hundreds of a second of rides quickest.
00:04:49Right, alluded to the fact that he's well aware that Redding has just been clawing back a few points here
00:04:54and there, and it has just felt like a bit of a difference coming into this round.
00:04:58I don't know if it's just because the championship is fully kicked off now, and we are getting into the
00:05:04business side of things.
00:05:06But Redding and Ride both look like they probably mean business coming into this.
00:05:10In terms of demeanour in the panic, and I think so, I absolutely agree with you.
00:05:14I think they've seen different people in terms of determination and this championship.
00:05:19Some set-up changes that have been made on the motor rapido to Cathy seem to have worked.
00:05:23Leon Haslam is now up ahead of Brad Ray, and that will be a tough rider to get back past.
00:05:29It looks like a quick lap for Max Cook here.
00:05:32Third, yeah, it does actually, you're right.
00:05:35There is the number 30.
00:05:37Great style in a corner, especially the fast ones.
00:05:40Very modern style, elbow down by his knee, big corner speed.
00:05:45He's delivering at the moment, is Max.
00:05:48You also feel like it's just a matter of time before he stands on the top step.
00:05:53And what would that unlock then from him in terms of potential?
00:05:56Because I think that is his problem at the minute, is he just doesn't believe he should be up with
00:06:00his people
00:06:01that he's idolised over the last sort of four or five years.
00:06:07Again, sector one, Kyle Ride able to take a couple of bike lengths there out of Scott Redding.
00:06:11I think it's easy though, is it? Not with his pace.
00:06:15It's relentless pace out front.
00:06:1824.6 again from the pair of them, actually.
00:06:21Max Cook, a 24.7.
00:06:23The rest of the field are all in the 25.
00:06:25They're all being cut adrift here by the leading trio.
00:06:31This group are catching as well.
00:06:34Glenn Irwin and Ryan Vickers are joining Haslam, Ray, Iden, Talbot for the battle for four.
00:06:41As it stands, another couple of points would go the way of Scott Redding in the title fight.
00:06:46It would be 15 in it going into the sprint race tomorrow.
00:06:52Again, Scott Redding just not putting a foot wrong here.
00:06:56Race pace, he's counting at the minute for him.
00:07:00Last year when we came to Brands Hatch, it was a winner piece.
00:07:04Oh dear.
00:07:05Big in there.
00:07:05Is that Talbot again?
00:07:07It is.
00:07:08It is.
00:07:09Yeah, he's a recognising helmet.
00:07:10Ah, he's on his own.
00:07:13Yeah, I think so.
00:07:15He's been waving his arms around, but I don't know if he's upset with himself or someone else.
00:07:19He's always upset with himself.
00:07:21Here's Joe.
00:07:24That's seven of 20.
00:07:26It's Redding from Ride.
00:07:28That lap again, another 24-6 from Redding, but 24-9 now from Kyle Ride.
00:07:33Yeah, yeah.
00:07:35Yeah, Scott, Kyle and Brad shared the victories when we were here last summer,
00:07:40but then at the end of the season, Scott picked up two wins.
00:07:44It's felt like a kind of Scott Redding circuit.
00:07:47It's looked like that all this weekend as well.
00:07:49And it's just sort of getting to the stage now where Scott's been here for
00:07:52over a year and he's like, okay, I'm not messing around anymore.
00:07:54He's just said that he won before, but it's just...
00:07:57And I think he's also realised, do you know what?
00:08:00I don't think he came into this championship thinking,
00:08:02I'm going to smash everyone, I'm going to win it.
00:08:04I think he's really realised the competition here.
00:08:07He's realised just how good Kyle Ride is.
00:08:09Yeah, and he's got to roll his sleeves up, but also he came in and said,
00:08:12look, I want to enjoy my racing.
00:08:14And that to me said, do you want to be safe?
00:08:16You don't want to be having to push too hard to hurt yourself.
00:08:18But he's just has taken a bit of winding up this year, but he's looked good this weekend.
00:08:21Every single time the bikes turn the wheel on track.
00:08:30A big moment on the front end, just when Christian was thinking about going up inside.
00:08:35So Brad Ray has got 24s in him.
00:08:38We saw that last year.
00:08:39He is the lap record holder.
00:08:40You wonder if they've made some changes, don't you, since qualifying here?
00:08:44And he's just not quite happy with the setup.
00:08:45I don't know where they have or not, they've made big changes before they came here.
00:08:48There is a new front fork, a pair of front forks that some of the teams are using,
00:08:53and they have gone back to the old shorter, slightly less travelled front forks,
00:08:58because Brad didn't get on so well with them.
00:09:01So I think the changes they've made are probably going back to that setting where he did do the 24.
00:09:08This is Lee Jackson on the Dow Racing Honda, fighting with Rory Skinner.
00:09:12Fair to say, neither of these boys should be there, neither want to be there.
00:09:18Yeah, I'd agree with him.
00:09:19Further evidence that at this moment in time, and it has gone Honda and Yamaha's way,
00:09:24we've seen that in recent history.
00:09:27But right now, just a bit on the back foot.
00:09:33Rory, it seems, just can't get a break at the moment.
00:09:38Scott Redding out front, the fastest lap of the race.
00:09:41Yeah.
00:09:42But not totally dropping Kyle Wright, six tenths of a second behind Scott Redding.
00:09:47So he's keeping him honest.
00:09:49Yeah, he is. He's only less than a tenth of a second slow was Kyle Wright.
00:09:52And they've broken Max Cook as well, he's just fallen back a bit.
00:09:56And he may be thinking, do you know what, Ferd will do here.
00:09:59Yeah, he's got to keep going though.
00:10:02You know, once you drop the couple in front, it's quite easy to sort of lose you a little bit
00:10:07more.
00:10:07It was a big moment on the rear from Scott.
00:10:10That's the big rollers, the bike loads and unloads, and therefore the grip levels go up and down and change.
00:10:15How does it feel when you are pushing everything out there and you look at your pit board and it's
00:10:19not changing?
00:10:19It's frustrating, I'll tell you.
00:10:21But then you come up with another plan, you think, right, if that's the way it's going to be,
00:10:24you've sometimes got a decision to make, do you let your man pass if he's right behind you?
00:10:27Sometimes that's the right thing you do.
00:10:29Have a little bit of a look at him.
00:10:31We've said that Scott and Kyle have different pace at different points.
00:10:35This is the roller.
00:10:36You'll see the bike.
00:10:38Look at that.
00:10:39You can see that if you look at the time act from before,
00:10:41you can see where the weight goes on the rear through the shape of the track.
00:10:45I don't think he lost a lot of time there.
00:10:47He didn't lose a lot, no, but it reminded me a lot of Tommy Bridewell, 2020.
00:10:52Last lap of the championship.
00:10:53Yeah, last lap of the championship.
00:10:54Yeah, it was.
00:10:56But like I said, sometimes if your man's caught you up, it might be a good idea to let him
00:11:00past and see where he's quick.
00:11:02Say, well, you've got a chance.
00:11:03Say, well, you're different because they are different, like you've said, on different paths this track.
00:11:08Kyle early on and Scott later in the lap.
00:11:13Is that what you said?
00:11:13Yeah.
00:11:14That's what it looked like to me.
00:11:16Brian Bickers here is doing a very good job again.
00:11:18We said it.
00:11:18We said every weekend.
00:11:20He just gives us all.
00:11:21Knock Hill as well.
00:11:23Yeah.
00:11:23He pushed that bike.
00:11:25He was like a mad club racer at Knock Hill and he got away with it for the length of
00:11:29every race.
00:11:30He was just really good.
00:11:31Which shouldn't be that much of a surprise because he was a mad club racer at one point.
00:11:35Yeah.
00:11:37Still, I think the man is doing a fair job.
00:11:39That's the number seven under of Brian Bickers.
00:11:42I think he's doing a fair job on that bike, honestly.
00:11:44Yeah.
00:11:45Here he comes now off the inside of Bradley Ray into Paddock Hill bent.
00:11:49Out front, though, this gap has come down.
00:11:51This is on.
00:11:53We've been talking about his race pace.
00:11:55Has Scott Redding got rear tire issues here?
00:11:58He's getting more movement than Kyle.
00:12:00Is it the fact that it's slightly cooler with that play Eddie Park?
00:12:03Maybe.
00:12:04Yeah.
00:12:04They're all on exactly the same karate rubber.
00:12:06We should just point that out.
00:12:07Yeah.
00:12:09But yesterday's race runs were not done in with a breeze like this.
00:12:13This is about bragging rights right here.
00:12:16Kyle Ryd leads the championship, but recently Scott Redding has clawed a few points back.
00:12:21In the last four, Scott Redding has won two and has finished second in two.
00:12:25What I'm seeing is the way they're riding, Kyle Ryd is definitely quicker going into the corners.
00:12:32That, to me, says that Scott Redding may be just using a little bit more tire coming out,
00:12:37and maybe that might make a difference as we go on.
00:12:39And now Scott actually faces the dilemma that you mentioned earlier where he will see his pit board and it's
00:12:43going to come down by another tenth.
00:12:45Does he let Kyle through to have a little look at him?
00:12:47Or is that actually ultimately foolish because Kyle might just clear off?
00:12:52We've seen that story a few times.
00:12:54Yeah, we have.
00:12:56I think we're going to find that soon.
00:12:58Over the line we go then to start lap 14 of 20.
00:13:00It's the Hager PPM Ducati of Scott Redding that leads the nitrous competitions Ducati of Kyle Ryd.
00:13:06Yeah, look at Kyle Ryd runs it in at Paddock Hill Bend on the front.
00:13:10But then there's other places on the track where Scott Redding's definitely got an advantage.
00:13:13He looks to come out of the corners, certainly early on with a decent tyre, better than Kyle.
00:13:19There's an opportunity into 30s, but not on this lap.
00:13:23Yeah, he's way too far back.
00:13:26Unless Scott makes a mistake, but we're not used to seeing mistakes from Scott Redding.
00:13:30Look at the difference in those best laps.
00:13:3124.56 from Kyle, a 24.55 from Scott Redding.
00:13:36Yeah, nothing to split.
00:13:38The two men at the moment fighting for this British Superbike Championship in 2026.
00:13:43The 2019 champion versus the double champion, the reigning champion, Kyle Ryd.
00:13:52Has Kyle got a little bit in his pocket here?
00:13:57Again, it's...
00:13:59Doesn't seem so, does it?
00:14:00It doesn't, but then again, it's about bragging rights.
00:14:03Kyle won't want to give Scott any more confidence.
00:14:05He won't, but then again, one thing that Kyle's not been too bothered about at all is any kind of
00:14:10bragging rights.
00:14:10No, no, no, correct, correct.
00:14:12In the last two years.
00:14:14Heavy on the curbs there on the exit of Stirling with Scott Redding.
00:14:17It's not costing too much time, but this is now going to be some good drive from Kyle Ryd.
00:14:21This is as close as he has been on the Brabham Straight, over the line.
00:14:25There's an opportunity for Kyle Ryd and he takes it.
00:14:28He's trying to squeeze under.
00:14:30Scott sees him, allows him the room to go through and now Scott knows he's got a proper race on
00:14:35his hands.
00:14:35Yeah.
00:14:36What has Kyle got?
00:14:37Yeah, we've got to find out.
00:14:40Has Scott got the tyre go with him?
00:14:43There's definitely more movement from the back of Scott Redding's bike.
00:14:50Eight wins so far in 2026 for Kyle Ryd.
00:14:53He's been on the podium in every single race.
00:14:55Yeah, first time we've seen Kyle Ryd.
00:14:57Seeing Kyle Ryd's feet, both of them at once coming off the foot race.
00:15:01He said if he does that, he's subconscious and he doesn't know he's doing it or try to do it.
00:15:06There's no benefit to it as far as you can see, but it's just when he's trying really hard.
00:15:10Yeah.
00:15:10Well, you can see from the lap times, James, they've gone into the 25s, which by the way,
00:15:14they're not slowing down a huge rate.
00:15:17This is one of the fastest BSB races you're likely to see.
00:15:19Yep.
00:15:20Case wise.
00:15:21Yeah, I think we see from a 20 lap in good condition before, there's going to be a fair bit
00:15:25of difference.
00:15:25And sometimes there's only a second in it, you know, over race distance from the previous year.
00:15:31Scott Redding now then, the rider, with a chance to look at what Kyle Ryd has got.
00:15:36Yeah, he'll be doing that. He's a wily old person in terms of riding.
00:15:39They talked about this in their post-qualifying press conference.
00:15:43They've had a good look at each other. They know where each other is strong.
00:15:46Yeah, and Scott Redding, you know, he's really analytical about all this.
00:15:52Good racing brain. They both have.
00:15:5424.9 that time from Kyle Ryder, 25.2 from Scott Redding.
00:15:59Yeah, Kyle definitely trying to have a little bit of a push to get away here.
00:16:03Scott not allowing him. One thing Scott cannot afford to do, though,
00:16:06is to throw it down the road and allow Kyle to expand that championship lead by a good chunk.
00:16:12He has 17 points in it at the minute between Kyle at the front of the championship and Scott in
00:16:16second.
00:16:17If you're new to BSB, the first eight rounds, 18 points for a win, 16 for second, 14 for third.
00:16:23Yeah, short margin in between and lower points. Then it ramps up towards the back end.
00:16:28Yeah, last eight meetings, it ramps up sort of gradually.
00:16:31The idea is that the small gaps between the points this early this season keeps the championship
00:16:36kind of lively and close. It seems to be working to me. It's a little bit unfair if you dominate
00:16:41a championship
00:16:42and you don't get the kind of gap that you deserve. That's what some people say, but I mean, it's
00:16:48worked for us, hasn't it?
00:16:48Just a bit.
00:16:52Kyle Ride then is asking big questions here of Scott Redding on lap 16 of 20.
00:16:57Middle part of the circuit, another bike length pulled out from Kyle.
00:17:00Yeah, and all it's going to take is when you're pushing so hard to stay with somebody who's come past
00:17:05you,
00:17:06it just takes you for you to get a little bit of slide or a little bit of scare.
00:17:10You lose the front somewhere and get away with it to start thinking, you know what, I'm going too hard
00:17:15here.
00:17:15This is a good lap again from Kyle Ride at 24.8. Another one in the 24s from Kyle Ride.
00:17:21Yeah, just two tenths quicker than Scott, but is that enough to keep creeping away?
00:17:26At the moment, I mean, what's that gap at the front? That looks like it's almost half a second.
00:17:30Ooh, a little bit of a mistake from Kyle there. Just got the rear out as he was going into
00:17:35Druids.
00:17:37Not cost him a lot of time though.
00:17:40Through Graham Hillbend onto the Cooper Straight.
00:17:43Scott Redding now, you know when you're in this position, you're pushing hard to stay with somebody
00:17:47and you're just praying and sometimes it happens. You're just praying for the rider in front just to make a
00:17:52little bit,
00:17:53just from wide, just a metre wide, just to give you a bit of hope.
00:17:56You could be waiting a long time when you're behind someone like Kyle Ride.
00:17:59Exactly. Well, and Scott. We're not used to seeing mistakes from Scott.
00:18:02Further behind, Max Cook in a lonely third. Haslam fourth, Iddin fifth.
00:18:06And then you can see here, Glenn Irwin has got ahead now with Ryan Dickers into sixth.
00:18:12Bradley Ray dropping back to eighth place.
00:18:16There has to be something he's not happy with setup-wise. Brad Ray is not an eighth-place rider at
00:18:22Brant Hatch.
00:18:23Yeah, happy to see Max Cook still in third. He's kind of been cut adrift from the leaders,
00:18:27but he's still got a big gap. There's ten seconds behind him to Leon Aslam in fourth.
00:18:33That should be enough. Just read your lap signals.
00:18:36From our commentary box window, I can see the leaders coming over the start-finish straight now
00:18:41and dropping into Paddock Hill Bend. Time running out.
00:18:45Well, I'll tell you what, this is an indication of just how quick the two riders in front,
00:18:49Kyle Ride and Scott Ridd are going, because honestly, they came on the start and finish.
00:18:53There's only Max Cook inside going into clearways.
00:18:56They matched each other for lap times.
00:18:59Reading here waiting for anything to try and pounce on, but it's not coming so far.
00:19:08In to 30s. Is there a glimmer here? That's pretty strong from Graham Hill, actually, to 30s from Scott Ridd.
00:19:15Yes, he was, yeah. Got out of Graham Hill really well.
00:19:19As it stands tomorrow, Reading would be on pole from Ride and Cook for the sprint race.
00:19:24Reading a tenth quicker in sector two. I was just going to say, he's not giving up on this, has
00:19:29he? No.
00:19:32Let's see how they fare here. Another, maybe half a bike length. Oh, we've got a red flag.
00:19:37We've got a red flag. Scott's fuming because he felt like he might have something left out there.
00:19:42Yeah. That will be declared. We've had a crash at turn one at Paddock Hill Bend.
00:19:46The red flag has come out. That will be declared a result. That will be a win for Kyle Ryd.
00:19:51Scott will be frustrated, but do you know what? He'll have another go tomorrow. In fact, he'll have another two.
00:19:57Right now, though, we hope that everything's okay at turn one, because Paddock Hill Bend is never a slow
00:20:05crash. This, there, he's on the right-hand side here in a battle with his teammate. And he, he jumped,
00:20:13he has to jump off, because he's, there's no real. That's, that's incredible. He's had to jump off that.
00:20:19So, he didn't slow down much, did he? Let's get the results and standings in then. After that one's
00:20:25declared with the red flag out, it is Kyle Ryd that wins it from Scott Reading with Max Cook on
00:20:30the podium
00:20:31again. Leon Haslam, some recovery made there on the motor repeater to Catty's fourth ahead of Iden Vickers,
00:20:37Glenn Irwin, and I'm expecting an unhappy Bradley Ray with eight. Rory Skinner was nice. Lee Jackson just
00:20:42inside the top ten. Points also go the way of Josh Brooks, Danny Kent, Ilyam Mikkelchik, Storm Stacey,
00:20:48and Jason O'Halloran. On to the points then. Kyle Ryd extends his lead to 19, back to Scott Reading.
00:20:58Bradley Ray, as a result of that, now 71 down in third. And he's only four ahead of Leon Haslam.
00:21:05Max Cook, though, in fifth. Could be one to watch in the battle for third in the championship.
00:21:10Down there, points for Jackson, for Brooks as well. Danny Kent was 12th in that race and
00:21:15his 13th in the championship ahead of the rookie, Joe Talbot. Right then, your race one winner,
00:21:21Kyle Ryd. Red flag, brought a premature end to that race, Kyle, but it was looking rather special
00:21:27nonetheless. It was a good race. Obviously, Scott passed me really early doors. I was trying to
00:21:32hope to do a decent speed with saving the tyre, but when Scott come past, I thought,
00:21:37I'm in trouble here. I'm going to have to dig in. And yeah, the first 12 laps, fair play to
00:21:40Scott,
00:21:41was very fast. I was hanging on. I made a mistake, and I was about 0.6, 0.7 behind,
00:21:45and I wasn't really catching it up. So it was only, I think, nine laps to go, maybe. I started
00:21:49to claw
00:21:50in a bit, and I thought, I've got a little bit more extra here. And when I caught him up
00:21:53onto the
00:21:53start finish, I thought, I'll just go now and try my best. He obviously dug in, and I think the
00:21:58last two
00:21:58laps maybe would have been of a dogfight. But yeah, it's kind of a thing at the minute. Every time
00:22:02the fans and all
00:22:02the people watching are wanting one, something happens, and we don't really get to see it. So I'm not
00:22:06complaining. I've got the full 18 points, and yeah, we'll go all into tomorrow.
00:22:11So a ninth win of the season then for Kyle Ride, who doesn't care how the wins come. For everybody
00:22:16else, though, it was one of those days that left you wanting a little bit more. Thankfully, we'll get
00:22:21it with race two and three still to come.
00:22:54Brian's Hatch celebrates 100 years. The riders make their way onto the Brabham Strait, ready to
00:23:00start this 20-lap race one. We bring you the best of British. Eyes on the lights, and away we
00:23:09go.
00:23:09Christian Iden got away very well from the second row. Glenn Irwin, likewise, actually,
00:23:13from a few rows back. But it will be Kyle Ride that just nudges it into turn one.
00:23:18Christian Iden. Immediately attacking here is Scott Redding underneath. Kyle Ride into
00:23:2230s. The door was open there. Yes, he was. And he's pounced early on.
00:23:27Brad Ray having a look, and that pushed Christian. That did the job for.
00:23:31Brad Ray then moves up into fourth place. Yeah, look at this. This is Aslan on Christian Iden.
00:23:40Leon Aslan is now up ahead of Brad Ray.
00:23:45Oh dear. Big in there. That job again. It is.
00:23:52Because Iden now goes up underneath Bradley Ray.
00:23:57Here he comes now, off the inside. Bob Bradley Ray into Paddock Hill Bend.
00:24:03A little bit more. That was a big moment on the rear from Scott.
00:24:08At front though, this gap has come down. This is off. This is as close as he has been.
00:24:16There's an opportunity for Kyle Ride, and he takes it. He's trying to squeeze under.
00:24:21Allows him the room to go through. And now Scott knows he's got a proper race on his hands.
00:24:28That's incredible. He jumped. He has to jump off.
00:24:33Oh my goodness me. Oh, we've got a red flag. We've got a red flag. Scott's fuming,
00:24:38because he felt like he might have something. Legs out there.
00:24:41That will be declared a result. That will be a win for Kyle Ride.
00:24:57What a weekend we've had already here at Brands Hatch, including the fastest ever lap
00:25:02by a motorcycle in a hundred years of racing around this iconic track, and that tantalizing,
00:25:07frustrating finish to what would have been the fastest ever race. Unfinished business
00:25:12that will get settled over two more races today to crown the 2026 King of Brands.
00:25:20Welcome along. Nothing quite like Brands Hatch in the summer sunshine, whether you're a spectator
00:25:25or a competitor. James Hayden, Danny Buchan, and Shane Byrne have stood on both sides of that fence,
00:25:30and I'm sure as excited as anybody here today, fellas, to see these chaps raise the bar once again.
00:25:35Yeah, super quick race yesterday. Got cut a bit short after that awful incident, and Scott ready
00:25:42definitely felt he had a little bit to give back to Kyle. Kyle felt he had it in the bag,
00:25:47so it's all
00:25:48on for this race, isn't it? It's crazy what kind of lap times these boys are doing, Danny, over a
00:25:53one
00:25:53lapper in qualifying, but also in race trim as well. Yeah, you know, stood here now, like we know how
00:25:57fast that is, right, as riders, but even for us to understand the pace they're doing, you know, like
00:26:02when you, you know, they've got eight seconds over fourth place, like even for Max Cook, the pace is
00:26:07unreal, isn't it? And to do that lap, lap in, lap after lap is incredible, yeah, and I'm really
00:26:13interested to see how fast they're going to go in this sprint race. Obviously, it's a lot, it's a lot
00:26:16shorter, so yeah, I wonder if Kyle's going to have a little bit more for the sprint race. Yeah, who
00:26:22knows?
00:26:22On the evidence of yesterday, it seems that Max Cook looks like the only guy, Shane, who can actually
00:26:27go with Scott and Kyle today. Yeah, I'm not so sure that's going to be the case today. Bradley Ray
00:26:31had a
00:26:31load of issues yesterday. Obviously, we saw him have a pretty disappointing race by his own standards.
00:26:37They found something in morning warm-up, which has made things a little bit better. Interestingly,
00:26:40Max Cook yesterday said to me, you know, for 10 laps he was all in, it was basically 10 qualifying
00:26:45laps,
00:26:46but, you know, the tyres can only take so much of that kind of abuse, and he had to sort
00:26:51of roll
00:26:52off and bring it home, but as I said to him, you know, that was enough to get him a
00:26:54five-second gap
00:26:55behind him, so I'd like to think that, you know, potentially Brad and Max could be in the mix
00:27:01for that sort of podium fight today, but yeah, certainly, look, if morning warm-up's anything
00:27:05to go by, Kyle Ryde was 24-2 or 24-3, like, best part of half a second here of
00:27:11everybody, so ominous.
00:27:13There's an interesting rivalry form in there between Ryde and Reading.
00:27:17Yeah, yeah, very much. I mean, Ryde's got nine wins, Wedding's got three, but it's more that they're both
00:27:23on Ducati's, they're both really fired for the championship, and they're really starting to
00:27:28edge away now, 19 points between them at the front, and then it's 70 points back for third,
00:27:33so those two, you know, and as I say, both being on Dukes, yeah, it really is, it's really starting
00:27:39to come up another level between them both. You know, what's really interesting about it was,
00:27:44I did the podium interviews yesterday, and Kyle was listening to Scott's interview,
00:27:49and in Scott's interview, you know, you can see him on the screen there,
00:27:52he wasn't overly happy about the fact the race was stopped, Scott definitely felt he had something
00:27:57to take to Kyle, the race was coming back to him, and Kyle listened to that interview,
00:28:01and I was like, well, did you have anything? And when Kyle came in for his one, you could tell
00:28:05that he was like, no, I had that covered, you know, you're right, there is a little bit of needle
00:28:10developing, both on the same bikes, both riding incredibly well, Kyle very respectful of everything
00:28:15Scott Redding's done, Scott very determined to try and get to that top spot, so we're going to have a
00:28:20great
00:28:20battle today. I'm for the rivalry, I like it, I don't like this nice, you know, I like it,
00:28:26like, you know, Biagi, Rossi, like, everyone's, it's insane now, you're retired. Yeah, exactly,
00:28:30yeah, I'll just pick a rival, but no, I really think that this is what we want to see, you
00:28:34know,
00:28:34we're racing here, it's the best of British Championship, you know, we've got the best riders
00:28:38here, and I really want to see him going toe-to-toe. Yeah. Okay, well, either way, Kyle
00:28:43Wright and Scott Redding have both already woven their names into the long history of Brands Hatch,
00:28:47100 years now, alongside some true legends, of course, James Whittam is one of them,
00:28:53and he's found another two. Yeah, and on the scale of the two I've got behind me, this is James
00:28:57Cholesland on his handspree, or next week's handspree, Honda, and the one and only Troy Bayliss next week,
00:29:04GSE, Ducati, I'm going to have a word with him, both got wins around here, one is a one-time
00:29:08BSB
00:29:09champ, there's five world superbike championships between them, let me, hang on, let me get across,
00:29:16boys, first thing I've got to say is I'm actually honoured to speak, I see a little bit of JT,
00:29:21and I don't know how much I think of you, but actually, I'll start with Troy, because we don't
00:29:26get to see you too much, you're here because your son Ollie is doing rather well, and cutting a bit
00:29:31of a career for himself in BSB, but you've had enough time round here, you know what an iconic
00:29:36circuit this is, it's 100 years of this circuit, and you've seen a fair bit of that, probably 25
00:29:40years, how are you feeling? I'm feeling good mate, it's lovely to see everybody, and you,
00:29:45yeah, a great place, it's a special track, it really brings, it's a track that can bring on really
00:29:50good racing, you know, it's got a lot of character, and like we'll say, James and myself had plenty of
00:29:55battles here as well, and you. Yeah, yeah, I remember, I get nervous when I come through the gate,
00:30:02James, what's your best memory, because you've raced here in front of like 100,000 people,
00:30:07are you? Honestly, I've been around a lot of tracks around the world, but 120,000 people at
00:30:12Branzach, there is no better atmosphere, you can see how close they are, and this was my final win
00:30:17on a motorbike here, with that double at Branzach 19 years ago, I can't believe it's all those years
00:30:22ago, and obviously I was battling with Troy that particularly, he got bold position here, but it was
00:30:26a really, one of the, in fact, the most special weekend of my racing career, I'd say.
00:30:31I'll tell you what, I've watched all of that, that was the early part of my commentating,
00:30:34and I still have a lot of time for you, lads, thanks for speaking to us. Matt, I'm in order,
00:30:39yeah?
00:30:41You've composed yourself, you've got work to do today, James, fantastic to see
00:30:44such great names joining us here, and so many fans as well, maybe not quite 120,000 today,
00:30:50but it feels like not far off, walking around the paddock and coming in through the gates this morning,
00:30:54James, huge crowd here. Yeah, massive, and it's got a real buzz, but the racing's great,
00:30:58there's so much to see at BSB, so many different events, and also here at Branz, it's, it's just,
00:31:04that's a little bit more special, isn't it? That natural amphitheatre, 100 years of it,
00:31:09it's incredible. Yeah, you know, even, even for me, like, when I grew up, you know, I grew up in
00:31:13the
00:31:13motocross background, but like, Shakey was racing here, like, Tosland, like, all these names, and for me,
00:31:18James Hayden, yeah, no, but it was, and for me, it was always, BSB was always Branz, and that was
00:31:24always that sort of feeling for me growing up, when I was, uh, looking at these, um, these middle-aged
00:31:29guys racing around. Still smoked you. Oh, easy, easy. Um, let's talk about the battle outside, uh,
00:31:37potential podium positions, or even maybe they're in the, in that, uh, in that conversation, Shakey,
00:31:42Christian Hayden, you mentioned Brad Ray already, uh, really finding a little bit of something this
00:31:45weekend and taking that Yamaha to, to its limit, it seems. Yeah, I think that every rider comes to,
00:31:50to Brand's action. There's not really a rider that, that you could speak to, you know, James and Danny
00:31:54there both, both spoke very, very highly, as did, uh, you know, Troy Bayless. Everybody that's ridden
00:31:59this track loves it, right, and, and it brings out the very best in some people. Interestingly,
00:32:03Christian Hayden's interview, he told me that first three laps of his race, uh, or his practice that he
00:32:07rode on that bike here, absolutely hated it, and the team have worked really, really hard to make the bike
00:32:11better, but now he's absolutely loving it, and, you know, generally, we get to the last round
00:32:15of the year, and a few Brand's action specialists come out, and, uh, you know, people end up in
00:32:20positions that are normally, normally been in all year, but, uh, yeah, Christian, seeing Christian
00:32:24running sort of top five there on the Yamaha, you know, a little battle with, uh, the top Yamaha sort
00:32:28of status, that was, that was good to see, but I think normal service will be resumed today with, uh,
00:32:33with Brad. I think he has a better setting to, uh, to go at this sprint race, especially.
00:32:37Okay, we shall see very shortly the class of 2026 lined up and ready to go here at Brand's,
00:32:44and James is amongst it for us. Yeah, I've got to talk back to Raw 7, this is Rhys Irwin,
00:32:49he's a
00:32:49Master Mack Honda rider. You had a coming together, it was pretty visible, and we showed it a couple
00:32:55of times on screen with your teammate, Eugene McManus. Can you just explain what happened there?
00:33:00It was a bit difficult to see, actually, but it was spectacular. Yeah, uh, obviously, first off,
00:33:04I'm, uh, glad to hear that Eugene's relatively, relatively okay, which is the important thing, but
00:33:09to be honest, I actually don't really have much of an idea what happened. Obviously, I felt him
00:33:13at the back of me, and then I seen the bike coming past me, and I thought, bloody hell, that's,
00:33:17uh,
00:33:18that's not a good place to go down, but, um, but no, look, it's, uh, one of the animals part
00:33:22thing,
00:33:22he's all right, and everything should be, should be all, everything can be mended.
00:33:25And how's it going for you, making your way, first real full season in the big class, how are you?
00:33:31Good, yeah, look, it's, it's a big learning, a big adapting phase for me at the minute,
00:33:34some things that I've, uh, been struggling with, so the more I can sort of work on them things,
00:33:39I'll close the gap to the rest of the guys, but, uh, yeah, I've got a lot of learning to
00:33:42do,
00:33:42and I'm trying to remind myself to enjoy this bit as much as I can. I was just going to
00:33:45say,
00:33:46biggest advice is enjoy it, because it's the best thing in the world you're doing, mate, good luck.
00:33:49Yeah, because it'll not be, not be too long, and I'll be up there, and I'll have all the pressure
00:33:52and
00:33:52strength that comes with that, so. We hope, good luck. Thank you very much. Uh,
00:33:56Rich Irwin, uh, younger rider, new to this championship, and listen, when you've got a
00:34:01bike that's got over 200 brake horse power and the grip and the chassis they've got,
00:34:05got, it's not easy to learn, and there is a learning process. You go at this like a bullet
00:34:09again, there's only one thing going on, you're going to fall down, you're going to hurt,
00:34:12and then it's kind of a spiral. That's all right, we're going to go forward,
00:34:15I think we've only got maybe three and a half minutes left.
00:34:20Right, this is, uh, Joe Tolbert. We're not talking to him, but this is Joe. Uh, Joe's been off a
00:34:24couple
00:34:24of times. He's probably the rookie of the year so far. He's doing over and above what he is expected
00:34:31of him in his first season of Superbike on that. Lovely looking Bermota. KB998, that's what we're going
00:34:38forward. Let's have a quick one. I think we can, uh, we can spend a minute talking to, uh, Brad.
00:34:45Brad, uh,
00:34:47this, uh, it's such a lovely look itself. What do you feel to it? It's kind of old-fashioned because
00:34:52it's a nod back to 96, 97, 98 Yamaha colors, the boost colors. Uh, how are you feeling it?
00:34:58Yeah, I feel a privilege to be, to be riding in this kit. Um, we'd like to be doing a
00:35:02little bit better
00:35:03and we'd like to get it on the, on the box for the boys, but, um, yeah, it's been a,
00:35:06been a sort of a
00:35:08struggle this weekend. Um, yesterday was difficult, made a change for, for warm-up and I think we may have
00:35:13found something. I don't think we've got the pace for the top boys, but, um, I think we can, uh,
00:35:17we can have a good fight maybe with Max. Yeah, we know why. Good luck. Cheers, mate. Right,
00:35:22a couple of minutes left. I'm going to go, uh, front row now. So, this is Max Cook. Max was
00:35:28cut adrift. He got a brilliant third place, but it was quite a lonely, uh, third place. Uh, one minute
00:35:34third. It's a quick one, but you're normally pretty quick. Uh, Max, great race yesterday.
00:35:38A bit of a lonely one once it got to about nine laps. Yeah, thank you. I gave it everything
00:35:42out
00:35:42there. Um, I gave it everything and I think the sprint race should be good for me today.
00:35:46Same again, give it everything, but hopefully a bit closer up to the front. You've just about
00:35:50started to believe in yourself, don't you? Absolutely. Yeah, it's all going well now. This is,
00:35:54this is mega. So, yeah, I can get used to this for sure. Good luck, Max. Cheers, guys. Thank you.
00:35:58Right, I think we've got about a minute left. We'll have a quick word if we can. This is middle
00:36:00of the
00:36:01front row. This is, uh, Kyle ride. Kyle, great ride yesterday. I think we were robbed probably of a good
00:36:06couple of
00:36:06laps. He said he had, uh, Scott said he had a plan. You said you had a plan. We could
00:36:10see it to the end
00:36:11this time, I think. Only 12 laps. Exactly. Obviously, yeah, main thing. It was a red flag for a good
00:36:17reason and someone was hurt, so obviously they're okay. I've seen him at the track today, so it's
00:36:20good news for that. Um, unfortunately, yeah, for the fans, they didn't get to see the last two laps,
00:36:25but yeah, I ended up getting 18 points, so I'm not complaining. Good luck. Thanks, mate. Right,
00:36:29we've got about half a minute left and we just need to speak to your second place man. He's got
00:36:33his helmet on,
00:36:33but he's always quite willing to talk to us. Uh, Scott, were you disappointed? Well, it looked
00:36:37disappointed. I know you're a bit disappointed not to get the finale. It looked like you had a plan for
00:36:41the last couple of laps. Yeah, it's racing, mate, at the end of the day. Um, I had to adapt
00:36:45and try
00:36:46and overcome and I felt like I adapted well, but I didn't have a chance to do the latter part.
00:36:50Let's see. I mean, Kyle's got pace. I got pace and it might end up being a scrap. That's what
00:36:55we want.
00:36:56Good luck. Thank you. And that's it. I think it is going to be a scrap. This is a 12
00:37:00lap and not a
00:37:0020 lap, but that gives everybody a bit more sort of impetus in case in, in, in terms of just
00:37:05getting
00:37:05stuck in the front two, that's going to be Kyle and Scott. They're definitely going to get stuck in.
00:37:11Thanks, James. Great stuff. A nod to the great history of this track, but all eyes now firmly
00:37:17on the immediate future and the fight for British Superbike success in 2026. Round five, race two is next.
00:37:57Hello there. Welcome back to Brands Hatch. More highlights of this track,
00:38:00highlights on the way from round five of the British Superbike championship. Second day action
00:38:05after a first day that saw the fastest ever motorcycle lap around this iconic circuit in a
00:38:10hundred years of racing at Brands Hatch. That was by a Kyle ride for pole position. In the end,
00:38:16the race went to ride after it was cut short by a couple of laps due to a red flag
00:38:21to the frustration
00:38:22of Scott Redding, who was lurking in second place. But Scott, the fastest lap of that race meant
00:38:27that he would start on pole for race two. Let's find out what happened now in the company of James
00:38:31Whittam and Steve Day. This is how they line up. It's Reading, Ride and Cook, your top three,
00:38:38in a slightly different order, on the front row. Iden, great job yesterday. He's heads row two,
00:38:43ahead of Leon Haslam, who found something, and Brad Ray, who needs to find something.
00:38:48Ryan Vickers, heads row three, seventh ahead of Glenn Irwin and the rookie, Joe Talbot. Further down,
00:38:54Rory Skinner, with work to do alongside his teammate Danny Kent on the Cheshire Moulding
00:38:59Yamaha. Lee Bob Jackson, for Dow Racing Honda, starts twelfth. Head of Ilya Mikulchik, who's been in the
00:39:05points recently and regularly. Brooks and Stacey, not had the weekend they won so far. They start from
00:39:1114th and 15th. And on row six, the Australian winner round here at Brands, Jason Halloran. Heads row six,
00:39:18ahead of Fraser Rogers and Reece Irwin. Then it's Hedger Graham Irwin and Brayden Elliott in 21st spot,
00:39:26with Richard Kerr, who fell yesterday early on, starting 22nd. Our best wishes to Eugene McManus
00:39:31on a speedy recovery after a nasty one yesterday. It looks like, on paper, this is a straight fight
00:39:38between Ride and Reading. Yep, I agree with you. The pace them two had yesterday was unattainable for
00:39:44most on the grid. I would say maybe shorter distance, maybe Max can go with him. Who knows?
00:39:49We're about to find out. The Hager PBM Ducati riders. Scott Redding starts us from pole position.
00:39:55Ride was quickest in warm-up this morning with a 124.2. What have we got in store here? It's
00:40:01lights out.
00:40:02Max Kirk actually got a very good start there. He's immediately pulled up alongside Kyle Ride. Kyle Ride might
00:40:08just be mired a bit into turn one. Brad Ray's got through on him as well on the McCams Yamaha.
00:40:13Ryan
00:40:14Vickers is up alongside Ride. It's Cook that leads into Druids. Yeah, great launch by Max Cook,
00:40:19and that's from the, but he's quite uphill from there, uh, into Paddock Hill, but a great start.
00:40:24Oh, right. Yeah, he's having, oh, and he hasn't worked. No, Brad Ray's there in fourth ahead of
00:40:29Vickers. That's, uh, Glenn Irwin, sorry, Leon Haslam and Christian Hiddon side by side. Yeah,
00:40:35they were joking out yesterday, uh, for most of the race. Uh, Christian Hiddon do really well. Oh,
00:40:42yeah, that's, that's a brave move going up in as she came. There's only one line through the, uh,
00:40:47through the corner. He's in a rush, isn't he? He's having a go at this, and I think he was
00:40:50that
00:40:51quick in warm-up this morning in very similar conditions, slightly cooler, that he knows he
00:40:54can put the hammer down straight away. Well, this is all working out well for Max Cook then,
00:40:58he's going to come around clear ways to lead at the end of lap one. Now, Kyle Ride, is he
00:41:02going to get
00:41:02the drive? He's got a good drive. He's right now up behind Scott Redding. He'll pull out to the inside.
00:41:08He's attacked one, into turn one. Scott's not having it. He's trying to close the door. That's
00:41:13going to work for Kyle though, I think. Oh, properly battling this out. Incredible stuff,
00:41:19he's got to give up now. And he's still not giving up. He's not having it. A bit of a
00:41:24twitch
00:41:24from the rear end there from Scott, which means he won't be able to retaliate immediately. Kyle is
00:41:30looking for a nip at Max Cook in front. He had a little look down there in a grey mill.
00:41:34Kyle
00:41:35knows his best chance of winning is to get up front, try and run his lines. Yeah. The problem
00:41:40he's got in passing Max Cook is when Max has got grip, he's got great corner speed. So he's going
00:41:46to have to be set up. Kyle's going to have to get somewhere near him down the straight and then
00:41:49go
00:41:49under him on the brakes, and that's not going to work here at Hawthorne. Yeah, and at the moment,
00:41:53for Max Cook's young career, it's these opening 10-11 laps, actually, that are his strongest. Correct.
00:41:58Now, this is his best chance at a win, I think, and he's coming. We know that.
00:42:01Brad Ray, with those beautiful Boost-esque, although it's a McCann's bike, but same
00:42:07livery as we had in 96, 97, 98 on the MRs, made a better fist of it so far. And
00:42:13I'm pleased for him.
00:42:14Yeah, me too. He doesn't, we don't expect to see him back where he was yesterday. You just don't
00:42:18want to see a man of that calibre with his head down back. Ryan Vickers again, fly the flag for
00:42:22Honda, yellow helmet on the red bike. Sorry, Ryan Vickers is a little bit opposite to Brad. He's
00:42:30actually realized that he's enjoying the punching above his weight kind of thing. No, he is. He is.
00:42:35He's riding so, so well, he's Vickers. Through into Paddock Hill, Ben, there's a move coming here. It's a new
00:42:41lap record, a 24.290 in a race. Yeah, and that is so quick because it's a 12-lapper. Here
00:42:49comes the move again.
00:42:50This is it. This is it. This is it. Up the inside and he does set up Max Cook. Yeah.
00:42:54Max needs to retaliate quick. If he's going to do, because he's got all the traffic behind him,
00:42:59is he going to be, and he's got it. No. Oh, that's tight through Saturdays. Is he going to leave
00:43:03any room now? The gentlemanly baby bike car right there. He left him a lot of time to sort
00:43:09back out. He means business. He does. I was speaking to Shannon Etheridge earlier. He was saying one of
00:43:14the problems they've had this year is getting speed out of a brand new tire. Whatever they've done,
00:43:18they've fixed it. Yes, they have. Yeah, it was old Scott that was faster away here, wasn't it?
00:43:22And Scott now will be keen to get past Max Cook. He won't want Kyle to get into his stride.
00:43:27No,
00:43:27absolutely not. What an opening few laps this is from the championship leader, Kyle Ride.
00:43:35Kyle, notoriously in his early career, took time to get going in a season in races. Yeah,
00:43:41and do you know what though? The payoff of that is he's been safe all his career. Yeah.
00:43:47They're all bunching up a bit actually here at the front.
00:43:50So we head around clearways then. Remember, just a 12 lap race. There's Vickers, Haslam joining him.
00:43:56Yeah, you feel a little bit sorry for Brad Ray. He's there in fourth purple bike. There you go with
00:44:00the
00:44:00Mackenzie helmet on. And because he just hasn't got the acceleration out of the corners. It's not a lot,
00:44:06but it's just enough to leave him wanting on the brakes to get past anybody. Oh, James, he's doing 24
00:44:11sixes.
00:44:12I mean, yeah, I was saying yesterday, those 17 laps that they completed is the fastest 17 by a long
00:44:17way. By a long way.
00:44:18By a long way. Any BSP race here in Grand Satchel. More than we've seen ever. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:44:22Yeah, if you look at race time overall, yes.
00:44:26Some of these Hondas and even some of the Yamahas going quicker than they've ever been.
00:44:31Yeah, and yet still they left one in because of the speed of the front of the guys.
00:44:35There is Joe Talbot with Danny Kent, Glenn Irwin.
00:44:38Chat with Joe this morning. I said, just need to finish. You're already doing better than people thought you would
00:44:42this year.
00:44:42Just have your rookie season. Enjoy it. But you won't listen.
00:44:50It's Josh Brooks and Rory Skinner. I spoke to Rory this morning. He was fuming with how poor his start
00:44:56was yesterday.
00:44:57Gave himself too much to do. He's done the same here as well. He thinks he's got speed to be
00:45:01inside that top five.
00:45:03There is Haslam now trying to attack Vickers.
00:45:06Just up ahead there. Brad Ray up close to Scott Redding.
00:45:10Yeah, this is going to be a difficult pass for Brad. He'll have the mid-corner speed. He'll run close
00:45:15to Scott round Clearways.
00:45:18But look at that. There's nothing he's going to be able to do come the end of the straight. And
00:45:21that's his problem.
00:45:22Oh, 24th lap from Kyle Wright. The fastest lap we've ever seen again in a race.
00:45:2824-3. His fastest lap ever by a long way around here. Max Cook in second.
00:45:33Well, that's underneath the old lap record. He can't do any more.
00:45:36No, he's not. He can't do any more.
00:45:38He's just a supremo at the moment, his Kyle Wright.
00:45:41Yep, absolutely. We know that bike is good, but Kyle's just... He's the two-time champion for a reason, and
00:45:46he's just getting better and better.
00:45:48Yeah, but he's a two-time champion, but we've never seen this from him.
00:45:51No, no. You know, this is a different Kyle, even though he's been champ last two years.
00:45:55Even his body language in the paddock is different.
00:45:56Yeah, yeah, he is. And he's not a swagger.
00:45:58No, no, no. But it's a certain confidence. And a little bit, not angry, but what's the word? Forceful.
00:46:03Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. It's a bit catch me if you can.
00:46:07Yeah, it is. Yeah. But without... But he's not a fragger. No.
00:46:10But it... Yeah, I get it.
00:46:13This is Vickers. In fit. Haslam. In 6th. And the Moto Rapido to Catty.
00:46:19Bike moving back there for Vickers.
00:46:21Yeah. Vickers are riding that Honda really, really well and hard.
00:46:26And I think he's enjoying that. There's a certain pleasure in getting the best out of something,
00:46:30and you know when you've done it, even if that isn't a win.
00:46:34No, and also it's something that Honda themselves will appreciate.
00:46:37They're going to... They're working overtime to try and create something so he can fight.
00:46:41Honestly, they couldn't have got a better person on that bike doing what he's doing.
00:46:44And Jason. I mean, Jason, his quality, you know that.
00:46:48If they get the bike, they've got the riders.
00:46:51Absolutely. Just shows you how stuck this grid is as well.
00:46:54There is no weak link through the pack.
00:46:57Yeah, that was Glenn Irwin on Joe Tolbert. Joe's just got to learn. He's got to follow.
00:47:02Every time a more experienced rider comes past, he's learning. And that's...
00:47:05Oh! See that big slide from Glenn there!
00:47:16It's lap seven of 12 here. This is a battle going on further back.
00:47:20Hedger, Fraser Rogers, Rhys Irwin, Graham Irwin and Richard Kerr.
00:47:25So that's 16th back to 20th. Battle's going all the way through the pack.
00:47:29Yep.
00:47:31Just a quick one as well. Coming into this weekend on Friday, James, Scott Redding laid the gauntlet.
00:47:38Yeah.
00:47:38It felt like early on that Kyle maybe wasn't too happy with his setup.
00:47:41They made changes. And even going into race one, we thought it's Scott Redding maybe the man to be.
00:47:47I was convinced of that.
00:47:48By the end of the weekend, maybe they'd all be level.
00:47:50Yeah.
00:47:51We've woken up this morning convinced we were going to see a battle.
00:47:53And every single time, and I don't know why we're surprised, Kyle Ride...
00:47:56Is having it.
00:47:57Is he just saying, well, actually, do you know what? I don't like your script.
00:48:02He's just got out of the right side of the bed, hasn't he? He just...
00:48:06Yeah, he's definitely... There's been a mental change.
00:48:09Braun by himself, I think, as Rory moves forward, past Joe Talbot.
00:48:14Oh, I'm cut back there, no talpin.
00:48:16He's giving it some.
00:48:18He's a ficey little fella, he's Talbot.
00:48:21Yeah, Rory won't have raced too much side by side with Joe Talbot in his career.
00:48:26So he's about to find that out for himself.
00:48:28This is the battle for second, then.
00:48:30Cook, Reading, Ray.
00:48:31Yeah, it looks like from his lap times that Cook is fading a little bit.
00:48:36He tends to struggle.
00:48:37When you've got a bike that's exceptional going into the corners,
00:48:40you let the brake off, you have a big lean angle, you rail around the corner.
00:48:43The problem is, once you don't have the grip at the rear,
00:48:45you get to mid-corner where you want to pick the throttle up,
00:48:47and you don't just have the grip to do that.
00:48:50It looks like we're just heading for that point.
00:48:52Hang on.
00:48:53Oh dear.
00:48:53That's Richard Kerr and Graham Irwin.
00:48:56Yeah, he is.
00:48:56So that's at the top of the hill, that's Druids.
00:48:59That's Druids, yeah.
00:49:00What's happened here, then?
00:49:04Ah, just one of those.
00:49:06Oh, climbing.
00:49:06Glad Graham's got up and okay out of that.
00:49:09Yeah, Graham Irwin lost the front.
00:49:10That's pretty typical of Druids.
00:49:13If you're going to crash there, it's either there or high side coming out,
00:49:16and that's the one to take if you're going to have one.
00:49:19We're about to start lap 9 of 12.
00:49:22This is Cook and Reading.
00:49:24Reading here about to attack for second place.
00:49:28Yeah, you could feel that coming, I think.
00:49:30And is Cook going to have anything to fight back with?
00:49:34Probably not, because I think he's had the rear tyre drop,
00:49:37and I think it would be unwise to move a little bit wide.
00:49:41That was Neil.
00:49:42Oh, eee!
00:49:43And a big slide from from Scott Reading.
00:49:47And Bradley Ryan fourth must be wondering what he's got to do.
00:49:49He's just down at 24.5.
00:49:51Yeah, that's as fast as he's ever been around.
00:49:53That's right on the old lap record before this weekend started.
00:49:55What more can he do?
00:50:00Yeah, he'll be hoping them to Cook and Reading just get involved with each other
00:50:04and gift him a couple of places.
00:50:06That would be the ideal scenario for him, not for them.
00:50:10It's funny, when you're sat in what is Brad's position now,
00:50:14you're looking at a battle going up front,
00:50:16you know you've got to be lucky to get anywhere near him from.
00:50:19The result, you're just willing him to get involved.
00:50:22Yeah, go on, get stuck in here.
00:50:23It doesn't matter who it is.
00:50:28Chin curve, lovely, lovely corner.
00:50:30It used to be a big chicane on the top of that.
00:50:31It was really difficult.
00:50:32Now it's just a beautiful, if blind, run through there.
00:50:36It's a fantastic circuit.
00:50:37Lovely, isn't it?
00:50:38Everywhere, everything about it.
00:50:40And then you pop out here and you just see a sea of bands.
00:50:43People, you can, you know what?
00:50:45You can, well there's this many, you can hear them.
00:50:47It's a weird thing.
00:50:51Kyle Ride there, another 24.5 for him.
00:50:54He's 2.3 seconds up as we start lap 10 of 12.
00:50:58He's on course here for 14 podiums from the first 14 races.
00:51:04What's more, it's going to be win number 10.
00:51:08And that's just quite incredible.
00:51:10You're not beating that in a championship, I'm afraid.
00:51:14But I mean, we've always known that Kyle has been a championship man.
00:51:17Big picture, get the finishes.
00:51:19Oh, that's going to be close between Danny Kent and...
00:51:22Oh, that was really close.
00:51:23Good move from Danny Kent.
00:51:25He's going to take that on the chin as Joe Talbot, and that's...
00:51:30Yeah, this is still all right for Joe.
00:51:32Yeah, we're talking about Kyle.
00:51:34We've seen him look at the big picture.
00:51:36Now he just seems to have the confidence race by race, doesn't he?
00:51:38Yeah.
00:51:39And if you do that, well, the championship is going to come.
00:51:42Do you think he's taken Scott by surprise?
00:51:44Yeah.
00:51:45Honestly, I think he's taken them all by surprise.
00:51:47Not just the way he's clicked immediately with this new bike that potentially we're going to
00:51:51take a bit of setting up around the British circuit.
00:51:53It's no day to remember.
00:51:54The old bike was so different, none of it counted.
00:51:57We know that from Glenn Irwin's introduction to the new V4 Panigale.
00:52:02So, yeah, I think everybody was taken by surprise.
00:52:05Listen, they all know each other.
00:52:07They're the race between each other every single weekend.
00:52:08For the most part, they all get on.
00:52:10They all know who's got the talent, and a lot of them have,
00:52:12and they've all known for years how good Kyle is,
00:52:15but I don't think they expected this on a weekly basis.
00:52:18I agree with you there.
00:52:19There's Ilya Mikulczyk.
00:52:2213th at the moment in a battle with Lee Jackson.
00:52:26The bike's just going over that bump, that Clark curve.
00:52:29Jackson now making his move up the inside.
00:52:32He should just about hold his line.
00:52:33He's slightly wide.
00:52:35That allows Mikulczyk back up the inside on the approach to Druids,
00:52:38but Lee's got the job done.
00:52:40Yep.
00:52:42A bit wide maybe.
00:52:44Yeah, it's still on the right part of the track for Graham Hill,
00:52:47and the bottom of the hill.
00:52:48There's a good crowd here, you know.
00:52:50As soon as we saw the cars that are parked off the side of the box,
00:52:53so the inside of Graham Hill Bend,
00:52:55and I saw them all parked up this morning,
00:52:57I thought, blimey, it's a decent crowd in here today.
00:53:01Very good.
00:53:02Our presenter, Matt Roberts, is a bit disappointed
00:53:04because his electric vehicle is flat off charge,
00:53:07I imagine he's going to have to wait two hours after the racing finishes to get up.
00:53:11But I said the crowd will have gone by then.
00:53:1411 off 12.
00:53:15There is another prize on offer this weekend,
00:53:18of course, the ITS King of Brands at the moment.
00:53:20That's going the way of Kyle Ride.
00:53:21He won yesterday.
00:53:22Well on course to win here.
00:53:23And just while we're looking at Leon Haslam
00:53:26and the hard charging and riding Ryan Vickers,
00:53:30I can't explain really well enough how hard these boys are going.
00:53:34Do not think because they are dicing for where are we?
00:53:38Fifth and sixth.
00:53:39And they're way back off the leaders that they're not right now.
00:53:41The bikes are sliding everywhere.
00:53:42It's really difficult and scary to do that.
00:53:48They're riding out of these lads.
00:53:50I've got here the fastest ever sprint race overall time.
00:53:54It was set by Tommy Bridewell actually for Honda, but in 2024.
00:53:59Yep.
00:53:59And I'm really keen to see at the end of this race where that is
00:54:02and where everyone else is with it as well.
00:54:04We're on the final lap.
00:54:08Oh, there's a move there over at Grey Mill Pents
00:54:12from Ryan Vickers on Leon Haslam.
00:54:15Both hard-riding people, both respectful, they're not dangerous.
00:54:18But yeah, I've got to say the one you'd put your money on in a one-to-one
00:54:21would have to be Ryan Vickers at the minute.
00:54:24Yep.
00:54:25I mean in his day, Leon Haslam is getting on a bit now, 40 plus.
00:54:28But, I mean, he was a nippy Ryan.
00:54:31He was late.
00:54:33The Honda at the moment, and I know it sounds like we're ganging up on them, we're not.
00:54:37It's just not where it quite needs to be at the moment.
00:54:39No, we want them to be all.
00:54:40We want them to be all.
00:54:41But not killed, two fourth places.
00:54:43A fifth and a fourth at Snetterton.
00:54:44Yep.
00:54:44A sixth yesterday, another fifth here on the card.
00:54:46It's just brilliant.
00:54:47In this company, isn't shabby.
00:54:49The checkered flag is out.
00:54:51They've not been able to lay a glove on the double champion here at Brands Hatch.
00:54:56He could be on course for his first ever treble.
00:54:58He's Cook going to have a little nibble just at the end.
00:55:01What a ride from Kyle.
00:55:03He has blasted him away.
00:55:06Incredible from Kyle.
00:55:08Yeah, that's a demolition job, that.
00:55:09Scott Redding second, Max Cook third, Brad Ray fourth, Vickers takes fifth spot.
00:55:16You're looking at the race time, aren't you?
00:55:17I'm trying to find it.
00:55:18I can't see it.
00:55:19It hasn't got it on our particular time screens.
00:55:21It doesn't come up with the overall time, which is a shame.
00:55:23You've got every piece of information you could ever want except the race time.
00:55:27Yeah, that's brilliant.
00:55:28I'll get it.
00:55:29I'll get it.
00:55:30I think that'll be four to five seconds quicker over the 12 laps than we've seen before.
00:55:34Yeah, at least.
00:55:35Yeah.
00:55:38I'm intrigued to see what Scott does here.
00:55:40He's going to have nothing but respect for that.
00:55:42Yeah.
00:55:44Well, that's got to be the fastest opening three or four laps of Kyle Ride's career,
00:55:49and he's done it again.
00:55:50He's 2.1 clear of Scott Redding.
00:55:51He wins the sprint race here with Max Cook on the podium again.
00:55:55The AJN still stopped the motor rider.
00:55:56Brad Ray was fourth ahead of Vickers, Haslam, Idden.
00:55:59All of those seven underneath the best ever sprint race overall time.
00:56:03Glenn Irwin was eighth, Rory Skinner ninth with Brooks inside the top ten.
00:56:07Points on offer there for Danny Ked.
00:56:09Joe Talbot did see the flag as he was advised to by Mr. Wisdom.
00:56:13He finished twelfth ahead of Lee Jackson, Ilya Mikkelchik,
00:56:15and the final point went away of Jason O'Halloran.
00:56:19So on to the championship then.
00:56:21Another two points added to his overall lead there for Kyle Ride.
00:56:26He's 21 clear now with Scott Redding with Brad Ray in third, 77 points back.
00:56:32Max Cook definitely in that hunt for top three overall.
00:56:37Max, here we are, another podium.
00:56:39Looked like you were going to have a little look at Scott then right on that last lap.
00:56:42Sort of closed him in a tiny bit towards the end, but just not quite enough to make a pass.
00:56:46No, I was digging in then.
00:56:48I think I did like five laps underneath for qualifying time.
00:56:51And even that yesterday in qualifying, I thought that was the limit.
00:56:53So, you know, to string together a run like that, I was really pleased with.
00:56:57I got a good start, led a few laps.
00:56:58And then, yeah, Kyle got by me.
00:57:00You know, I'm really struggling for grip out of turn two.
00:57:02And he just went straight by me into Gray Mill.
00:57:04So, you know, that happened.
00:57:06I tried to stay with him for as long as I could.
00:57:08But, you know, he's like machine, you know, riding perfectly.
00:57:10And, you know, there's no chance I could really stay with him.
00:57:12And, you know, then I had a bit of a wobble on down the main street.
00:57:15And then, yeah, Scott come by me because I had to roll out.
00:57:18And it was cool just to hang on to Scott.
00:57:19And I just thought, I need to keep this up.
00:57:20And I just wanted to do it right to the end, you know.
00:57:23And if Scott perhaps made any mistake, which obviously he didn't.
00:57:26But, you know, I would have been right there, you know.
00:57:28But I'm really pleased with that result.
00:57:29Obviously, a huge thank you to the team and all my sponsors as well.
00:57:32But, yeah, really, really happy this weekend so far.
00:57:35Two podiums so far, one to go.
00:57:36Best of luck.
00:57:37Thanks so much.
00:57:38Cheers.
00:57:39Right then, second place, Scott Redding.
00:57:40Big smile on his face.
00:57:41I like to see that.
00:57:42Scott, wonderful race there.
00:57:44Good performance.
00:57:46I was curious to see what was going to happen in that one.
00:57:48I thought that was going to be a slightly different outcome.
00:57:50I just had nothing to respond with, mate.
00:57:53He tried having a few goes and I just refused it.
00:57:55I just thought, I'm going to have to just do some.
00:57:57Because I know once he got through, if I couldn't attack back,
00:58:00it would be hard to really set some up.
00:58:02I know it would just be like, follow the leader thing.
00:58:04So, I leant on him a few times, took a bit of risk.
00:58:07But he's just got a little bit more grip.
00:58:09Like, you can see compared to me and Max, like, where we're struggling,
00:58:12he's just got so much more corner speed.
00:58:13He can pull moves where people don't really pull moves.
00:58:17And, like, when I'm behind and he's going through the corner,
00:58:20I try and I just get in all sorts of knots and shapes.
00:58:23And at the moment, the bike's just refusing to do what he's able to do.
00:58:26I don't think it's anything he's doing as a rider,
00:58:28because I feel like we're very similar in the same bike.
00:58:31But it's just how they've got it set.
00:58:33When he loads the tire in the corner, it just turns.
00:58:35And I just feel like I'm floating on the top.
00:58:37I tried to respond, but it would have been a big lunge.
00:58:39And I thought about it, but I just thought, no, I've got to kind of keep it clean.
00:58:42I've not got the pace to run what he did then.
00:58:44So, hats off to Kyle, because it was fast.
00:58:47Max, again, riding really well.
00:58:48And we made a change before that race.
00:58:51And I knew immediately, once we started pushing lap times, I was struggling.
00:58:54I kept wheeling down the back straight.
00:58:56And it made it more difficult.
00:58:58And Max didn't make it easy.
00:59:00He's breathing down the back of my neck.
00:59:02But, yeah, we'll go again this afternoon.
00:59:04Wish you the best of luck for that one, Scott. Well done.
00:59:05Thank you. Cheers.
00:59:07Right then, your race two winner.
00:59:09Two thirds of the way there for a treble, treble even.
00:59:12Kyle, what a performance. Tell us about that.
00:59:15Yeah, it was not the best of starts.
00:59:17I think even Brad and Christian maybe passed me at Turn 1.
00:59:20I was really brave into Turn 2.
00:59:21Stuck it out.
00:59:22I think I passed Scott into Graham Mill, and he rode around the outside of me.
00:59:25So, it was a hectic first lap.
00:59:27But, yeah, once I got my head down, I think the second lap was a 24-2,
00:59:30trying to catch Max up.
00:59:32So, I knew we had some speed, all of us.
00:59:33So, yeah, I just tried to get to the front and do what I can do.
00:59:37The last five laps were very difficult.
00:59:39That's why I've got my helmet in my left hand, because my right arm's completely dead.
00:59:42So, yeah, I did all the hard work.
00:59:44It feels a little bit like last year.
00:59:46Kind of with Tommy.
00:59:47I tried to win this second race to make it a bit easier in the third one,
00:59:51to get the king of brands.
00:59:52So, I'll try my best to win the treble.
00:59:54But, yeah, I put everything into that.
00:59:55Bike was loads better than yesterday, as you've seen.
00:59:5724 flat in a race is stupid, to be honest.
01:00:00The last couple of seasons, to do a 24 in a race was amazing.
01:00:02And we're nearly breaking the 24 barrier.
01:00:04So, thanks to all my team, Shannon and everyone.
01:00:07We've done a great job with the bike.
01:00:08And, yeah, I'll see Becky in the next few hours.
01:00:10Get my arm sorted and go again.
01:00:12Kyle Ride, 10 wins in 2026.
01:00:15It's more than he's put together in any other season in BSB.
01:00:19And just for good pleasure, his mum, Janine, is going to get the representative trophy as well.
01:00:25Brilliant stuff from Kyle Ride.
01:00:28Janine is loving it up there on the podium.
01:00:35Hello there, welcome back to Brands Hatch, British Superbike racing in the sunshine here this weekend.
01:00:40The third of three races at round five of the British Superbike Championship is on the way.
01:00:46With Kyle Ride on pole position after victories in both of the first two races.
01:00:50And his main contender at the moment for the championship and for wins here at Brands,
01:00:54Scott Redding on row two in fourth on the grid.
01:00:57Let's join our commentary team of James Whitton and Steve May.
01:01:03Lights out here in BSB.
01:01:05And it's the perfect start for Kyle Ride, number one on the nitrous competition.
01:01:09Look at Brad Ray.
01:01:10And it looked like the perfect start.
01:01:12And he's turned out in third.
01:01:14It's Bradley Ray with that brilliant one-off colour scheme.
01:01:18But now he's attacked by Scott Redding from the second row.
01:01:21Redding leads on the Hager PBN to Gatti.
01:01:22Ride sits Ray up into Druid as well to move up into second.
01:01:26And I thought Kyle was going to attack into Graham Hill.
01:01:29Yeah, I don't think Kyle's going to waste any time trying to get in and about Scott Redding, is he?
01:01:34From what we've seen.
01:01:35What I would say is the track temperature is definitely hotter.
01:01:39And there may be a little bit less grip available to these riders now.
01:01:44Off to the back straight for the first time in this final race of the weekend.
01:01:48What a great start for Scott Redding.
01:01:50He means business there.
01:01:52Cook now up the inside of the Macan Yamaha with Brad Ray.
01:01:55Yeah, Brad Ray's nothing you can do about that.
01:01:57You get driven past on the straight.
01:01:59There's nothing you can do at the end of the straight.
01:02:01Because you've too much ground to make up as good as he is on the brakes.
01:02:06Vickers with his best grid position of the weekend so far.
01:02:08Yeah.
01:02:08He's done a stunning job.
01:02:09He's up behind Brad Ray.
01:02:12Then it's Haslam and Christian Iden.
01:02:14I've been really impressed with Graham Vickers, not just his riding,
01:02:16but the way he's conducted himself and been in the interviews I've done with him.
01:02:21And when you talk to him, he understands where they are with that bike at the minute.
01:02:24And he's quite prepared to push it to the limit.
01:02:27That's wide from Cook.
01:02:28It was.
01:02:29And Haslam has gone through on Ryan Vickers as well.
01:02:31So Haslam's moved up one spot into fifth.
01:02:34Josh Brooks is posting on his Dow Racing Honda.
01:02:37Not sure what's up there for the Australian.
01:02:40Some sort of technical issue.
01:02:42But it's Reading that leads around Druids.
01:02:52This is a lap from Scott Reading there.
01:02:55As he leads us over the line.
01:02:5624.6 on lap two from Reading.
01:03:0124.8 from Kyle Ride.
01:03:03Yeah, we were down at the 24 deads or just over from Kyle last time out.
01:03:08I think he's approaching this a little bit different.
01:03:10He knows how long this race is.
01:03:13He also knows that even if he comes home in second, he'd leave Brands Hatch with a championship lead that's
01:03:20extended and the King of Brands trophy.
01:03:22Yeah, I'll tell you what, that takes Sunday with a balanced view on what he's doing over the year to
01:03:29do that.
01:03:30Easy.
01:03:30You know yourself, you sit on a grid, you're not panicking, but you're nervous, you want to perform, you don't
01:03:36want to let your team down.
01:03:37Easy to forget all that when the lights change.
01:03:40Absolutely.
01:03:40And it doesn't.
01:03:41Well, his approach has worked so well over the last couple of years when he's been crowned champion.
01:03:46But he is a different animal this year.
01:03:48Yeah, but he's kept the reliability, hasn't he?
01:03:51He has, yeah.
01:03:52It's now 75 races since he last failed to finish a race.
01:03:55I'm not going to say anything, we've said it all.
01:03:57Scott Redding it is, that leads this one ahead of Ryan and Cook early on.
01:04:01There is Mikkelchik, Fraser Rogers as well.
01:04:03They're in 15th and 16th.
01:04:05This section of the track, you know, down sort of Westfield, Dingledell and down of Stirling's,
01:04:09when you chat with Abin in teams with foreign riders, Italians and Americans,
01:04:14they all love that bit of track because there is no way, it's like the corkscrew.
01:04:19You talk about it like the corkscrew at Laguna, there's nowhere like it.
01:04:22Certainly not the world championship circuits these days.
01:04:25Well, you heard Troy mention the fact that it felt a little bit like Imola,
01:04:29and Imola's got a bit of that as well, hasn't it?
01:04:31Imola's got a lot of that.
01:04:32It's brilliant and I'm really disappointed that they don't go there either.
01:04:35It's a beautiful circuit, very English in its field.
01:04:39I always felt that about him.
01:04:40It's got a lot of charm.
01:04:41Yeah, it has, yeah.
01:04:43Fraser Rogers has just entered pit lane, a tag Honda rider.
01:04:46It's had a tough weekend here at Brands, so no points on offer for Fraser this weekend.
01:04:50And you know, if you have got a little bit of pace, extra pace in you, but you're conserving tyres,
01:04:54it's so difficult to see the leader just pegging it away a little bit and trusting your kind of thinking
01:05:02that he's going to come back at you at some point.
01:05:05There is that beautiful tribute to the Cadbury Boost colour scheme, run by yourself and Neil.
01:05:11Yep.
01:05:1230 years ago.
01:05:13Yep.
01:05:13Didn't seem that to me, but anyway.
01:05:17He's in a really difficult position, is Brad, because he can stay with, he can,
01:05:21if he can run his corner speed and have his braking points,
01:05:24he can do the times to stay in that sort of top three, top four position on track.
01:05:29But actually, when there's people in front where he needs to be quick and their bike just isn't as good
01:05:34or they're not as good, well you're getting nailed up and you're gonna, you're gonna drop back.
01:05:38And it's almost impossible at this point for him to pass.
01:05:44Max Cook there on the Bermota in third, keeping Ride honest.
01:05:48Yeah, well, 24-6, that's Ride's fastest lap of the race.
01:05:53He's in green, slightly quicker from Reading, but the times are nearly matched now.
01:06:00Yeah, anything over half a second gap out front is manageable.
01:06:03You can run your own lines, there's no threat of someone coming underneath you.
01:06:06No, it is true, but it's not a big gap.
01:06:09No, it's not.
01:06:09You can't afford any mistakes.
01:06:11No.
01:06:11And also, he will have on his pit board all the signals he needs to notify him of where Kyle
01:06:17is.
01:06:18We look at the rest of the pack coming through from the Cooper straight,
01:06:22which isn't in fact a straight at all.
01:06:24There isn't any straights at Brands Hatch. There's three that are cold straights.
01:06:29Yeah.
01:06:32Iden Skinner and Glen Irwin here battling for seventh place.
01:06:36All in all, a step in the right direction for the Senkat Yamaha team and Christian this weekend.
01:06:40Yeah, absolutely. I'm speaking with team owner and principal Chris Barnes on the great knee said that they're really happy
01:06:48with the way things are going.
01:06:49Little steps and that they're really pleased.
01:06:51It's a team that's running a super back for the first time. It's a big step up for them and
01:06:55they're doing a good job.
01:06:56Yeah, they're all learning each other as much as the Yamaha, aren't they?
01:07:00Yeah, they are.
01:07:01And it seems like Pete Jennings has formed a really good relationship with Christian.
01:07:05Yeah, Pete Jennings x-rays himself, a reasonable level, top ten BSB runner, or super sport at least,
01:07:12and then he's got a crew chief work and he's good at it.
01:07:17I know, and just having a little think about an inside move on Rory Skinner.
01:07:25Quite impressed by Glen.
01:07:26And he almost seems at his best these days when he's against a wall somehow.
01:07:33Yeah, unfortunately, he's back up against the wall on quite a few occasions over the last few years.
01:07:38Not a wall for his own fault either.
01:07:39I was just going to say, mostly not his own fault.
01:07:44We've got a safety car out. There was a crash for Brayden Elliott over at Stirling's, I believe,
01:07:51and I've not seen it yet, but the safety car is out.
01:07:55There is.
01:07:55And that's your reason. That's not yet is.
01:07:58Yeah, they're obviously attending to the Australian Brayden Elliott there.
01:08:03Brayden Elliott sitting up, which is good to see.
01:08:07Interesting to see how this one pans out. We've had a few safety cars over the weekend in other classes.
01:08:12It's like he's looking back and saying, right, everybody ready? Are we ready, chaps?
01:08:15Watch me. Is he going to back him up once more? He is.
01:08:19He's still backing him up.
01:08:19He is, and the car's already peeled into pit lane, and he's still not decided to go.
01:08:24He really is punching them all up here.
01:08:26And now he gets tucked in through clearways then.
01:08:30Scott Redding, has he timed it well?
01:08:32Kyle Ride, there might be an opportunity here. No, I think that's okay from Redding.
01:08:37Yeah, everybody stays in line over the start, finish line they've got to do.
01:08:40One thing they have to think about now, a little bit of heat will have gone out of the tyres.
01:08:45They've got to think about the front, and that is going down at a grey mill where it's going to
01:08:48catch him out if it is.
01:08:50Luckily, the sort of general ground temperature is a lot higher than that.
01:08:53So you're not going to get a lot of that yet. You're right.
01:08:56The two riders there, Brad Ray and Ryan Vickers, who we are very impressed with what they're doing on their
01:09:01machines,
01:09:02their respective machines, and together on track.
01:09:05Yeah, Vickers, it feels like, he's keen to get past here, maybe feels like he's got a bit of speed.
01:09:11He's leading four, just getting away.
01:09:13Yeah, they are. Yeah.
01:09:16Opportunity, but that's saying something about the leading four.
01:09:19So we've got, we've got three decays and a bemota, and then you've got a Honda and a Yammer,
01:09:23and that just about sums up what is happening, technically, in this championship at the minute.
01:09:28Let's see whether Vickers can do anything about that gap.
01:09:30It's one and a half seconds to Leon Haslam in four, who, by the way, just put in the fastest
01:09:35lap of the race, Leon Haslam at 24.566.
01:09:38Yep, that's just about on the old lap.
01:09:39Ooh, a lean angle from Ryan Vickers there at bottom bend.
01:09:43That is a grey mill bend. We used to call it bottom bend, it is grey mill bend, sorry.
01:09:47I should know better.
01:09:52Fastest lap now from Kyle Ryde in second.
01:09:54Is this the charge coming from the championship leader?
01:09:58Look at that gap, it's come right down.
01:09:59It has in his, it was Reading's quickest lap of the race.
01:10:02He's in green, but red behind him, Ryde, and that's two tenths quicker.
01:10:06And you see it right in front of you there.
01:10:09Two trebles to his name in his career so far, Kyle Ryde, at his beloved Donington Park last year,
01:10:13and at the opening round of the season here at Alton in 2026.
01:10:17The impressive thing about Kyle over the last couple of years has been that he's gone to circuits.
01:10:20He openly says he doesn't like, like Cadwell.
01:10:24He said he doesn't like that place three years ago.
01:10:27He said that and then went and excelled there and got to grips with it.
01:10:31So, he's been, he's been impressive hasn't he?
01:10:36Another man we're impressed with, Max Cooke.
01:10:38Yeah, and he's not going away.
01:10:39He's not going away and this is what he needs to do and he's to sit in there,
01:10:42not just learn from the faster many, all the people have been faster than him,
01:10:46but he's such a respectful kid, he's Max.
01:10:49He's almost been in awe of these people and he's got to get rid of that and think,
01:10:53yeah, I deserve to be here.
01:10:55I want a really good bike, I can ride it properly and I deserve to be in this top three.
01:10:59I think he fancies it here.
01:11:01Yeah.
01:11:01I'm interested to see what this lap is here.
01:11:03We might see another couple of fast laps coming in from Reading, Ryde and Cooke.
01:11:08Over the line then to start lap 14 of 20.
01:11:13All pretty even.
01:11:15Yeah.
01:11:15Cooke two tenths quicker than Ryde up ahead of him.
01:11:18Yeah, ominously, that was a really quick one compared from Scott Reddy.
01:11:22He's pulled out another three tenths from Kyle Ryde.
01:11:26He seesawing a bit, I think.
01:11:29One round 40 to 20.
01:11:30Well, if tyres are going to be an issue,
01:11:33where are tyres we're talking about,
01:11:34then it's going to start happening now.
01:11:37It is around this stage of the race where
01:11:40Max Cooke has maybe just dropped off a little bit from the pace of the Ticati,
01:11:44so this already is a step forward.
01:11:46Yes, it is, but let's be honest,
01:11:47he had that couple of three laps behind the safety car,
01:11:50where the tyres would have just got a little bit of temperature back,
01:11:55you know, dropped.
01:11:56So, yeah, I mean, I'm not trying to be hard on the fella,
01:12:00but he needs to do this and understand that he can go to the end of a race.
01:12:05Vickers, Ray, Glenn Irwin and Rory Skinner.
01:12:10Good run from Joe Talbot, we've said it again and again.
01:12:13This is his rookie season, he's punching above his weight at this point.
01:12:17He's going around in ninth position, but the people he's with are the more important thing
01:12:21I'm looking at there.
01:12:22Well, absolutely. Danny Kev, Moto3 World Champion.
01:12:24Lee Jackson, BSP race winner, has been so experienced in this class for so many years.
01:12:29And Jason O'Halloran, the best rider to have not won one BSP.
01:12:33Yeah, plenty around here at Brands as well.
01:12:38Yeah, team really getting on well with Joe.
01:12:41They have a reputation of nurturing younger riders,
01:12:45Max Cuck being one of them a couple of years ago.
01:12:47Here comes Danner.
01:12:49Will Joe go for the cutback? Yes, he will.
01:12:54And it'll work, I think.
01:12:55Yep.
01:12:56If he can stop it, can he stop it?
01:12:58He stopped it.
01:13:00Great corner, Druids used to look that.
01:13:03I pride of myself on being good on the brakes,
01:13:05even if it suffered in other parts of the corners because of it.
01:13:09But I always felt like I could get under somebody,
01:13:11even if it was a bit of a block pass.
01:13:13I love Druids.
01:13:14Yeah, a corner, you can carry more speed than you think.
01:13:17Yes, you can.
01:13:17You've got to be on the inside, that's where the grip is.
01:13:20But yeah, you can rail the corner.
01:13:22Takes you maybe two sessions to build up to that.
01:13:26This is on.
01:13:26Yeah, I think it is.
01:13:27I think you're right.
01:13:29Yeah, ten and a half,
01:13:31gained by Kyle Ride in second place.
01:13:33And Reading will have seen that on his pit board,
01:13:34and he'll be like, oh, not again.
01:13:36Yeah, it depends, and he'll know where he is,
01:13:37and they'll be telling him where he is,
01:13:39but he'd know anyway, to be quite honest.
01:13:41Yeah, good mid-corner speed.
01:13:42I just think that...
01:13:44Good exit from Scott, though.
01:13:51Yeah, and again, another good exit from Scott there.
01:13:53Yeah, it was, it wasn't it?
01:13:54Out of Graham, he'll bend legs off the pegs from Kyle,
01:13:58which is always that sign that he's pushing.
01:14:00Freely admits the fact that if both legs are coming off the pegs,
01:14:03he's trying hard.
01:14:06He's trying hard, but within Kyle Ride's own limits.
01:14:10That's what he does best.
01:14:11He will have a good go, but he won't push too far.
01:14:15The last thing he's going to do here is throw away big points,
01:14:18but if there's an opportunity for the moment, there isn't.
01:14:21It's not close enough.
01:14:23Scott's doing a really good job here not to put a foot wrong.
01:14:31Two brilliant riders that you're looking at here.
01:14:33As Matt mentioned earlier on, Scott Reading has beaten some of the best in the world.
01:14:37Yes, he has.
01:14:37Yep.
01:14:38Mark Marquez included.
01:14:40Yep.
01:14:42Youngest ever 125cc race winner.
01:14:45A Moto2 contender, second in the World Superbike Championship.
01:14:50Yeah, not only that, he's actually, he loves racing bikes.
01:14:53He's come back to BSP, not just because it's a career move for him,
01:14:58but actually because he rather relishes the fact that there's less electronics.
01:15:02It's all about the ride or more about the rider than it is in any other world, you know, top
01:15:07level championship.
01:15:08And he likes it.
01:15:09And on equal machinery, it just goes to show you how good Kyle Wright is.
01:15:14Yes, he does.
01:15:14Our double BSP champion there.
01:15:16Yeah.
01:15:16He's not only matching him, but he's beating him in this championship.
01:15:19Yeah.
01:15:20Kyle here, has he got enough to find something on the final lap?
01:15:24That will be coming up next.
01:15:26This is the penultimate lap of the race.
01:15:28It looks like he's clinging on by the skin of his teeth just to be where he is.
01:15:32To me, that's what it looks like.
01:15:35Through Hawthorne corner here.
01:15:37Nothing splitting them.
01:15:39Authentical machinery.
01:15:41Now up towards Westfield.
01:15:43Again, just a few too many bike links between them for there to be any thought of a lunge from
01:15:50Kyle.
01:15:52Now it's going to build here from Kyle.
01:15:54He'll know soon whether or not this is on in the last lap.
01:15:58Clean through Sterling.
01:16:00But like you say, I think he's going to be in a position here where, unless there's a mistake from
01:16:05Scott,
01:16:07I think Kyle is going to be happy to sit where he is and take most of the spoils and
01:16:11points over the weekend.
01:16:12Although he does continue to surprise us.
01:16:14He does.
01:16:15On a daily basis.
01:16:16Over the line to start the final lap.
01:16:18Kyle Ryders won two out of two so far, but at the moment it's Scott Redding on top.
01:16:24As it stands, it would be the King of Brand's Trophy to Kyle Ryders in second.
01:16:27Yeah, let's not detract from what Scott Redding is doing.
01:16:30He's running in front.
01:16:31He's had all the pressure.
01:16:32He's had to manage the tyres.
01:16:33He's had the complication of the safety car coming out and having to get going again and pull that gap.
01:16:39So, take nothing away from him, isn't he?
01:16:41You know, sometimes if you're capable of the same pace as the rider in front and he doesn't make a
01:16:46mistake.
01:16:47Well, you have to sit behind him.
01:16:48You've got to finish behind him.
01:16:49You have to take it out as well because he was punished in that last race, in the sprint race.
01:16:54He looked genuinely backled at the speed that Kyle was going at.
01:16:57And yes, he's managed to put that to the back of his mind.
01:16:59Come out and do this?
01:17:00Yeah.
01:17:00Yep.
01:17:01Agree.
01:17:02We're looking at two brilliant riders fighting for this championship.
01:17:07Max has been cut adrift a little bit now.
01:17:09Like we said, I think he's less able to go up with a tyre that's moving around.
01:17:14I think that's what the issue is.
01:17:15Once you drop half a second off and the people in front are pulling away,
01:17:19then it's very difficult to dig in and pull something out of the bag.
01:17:22It's going to take a mistake here from Scott for Kyle to do anything about this.
01:17:25It's been a brilliant last few laps here of defence from Scott Redding.
01:17:29The chequered flag is being made ready into clear ways.
01:17:32And Scott Redding here is going to go back to the top step.
01:17:35He might not be the King of Brands, but the comeback kid has done it again.
01:17:39Redding wins race three at Brands Hatch from Kyle Ride,
01:17:43who will take the ITS King of Brands trophy.
01:17:46Another podium for Max Cook.
01:17:49That's now seven in his last 12.
01:17:51Yeah.
01:17:52That's proper BSB4 that is victory for Scott Redding.
01:17:55And the Hager PBM racing team.
01:17:57Another podium for Kyle Ride and likewise Max Cook.
01:18:01Leon Haslam, good weekend on the motor repeater to Catty.
01:18:04He was fourth ahead of the returning Glen Irwin.
01:18:06Vickers, another top six for him, ahead of Rory Skinner.
01:18:09Bradley Ray fading to eighth.
01:18:10Kent ninth.
01:18:11Joe Talbot, the rookie in 10.
01:18:13Points for Lee Jackson, Jason O'Halloran, Ilya Mikkelchik, Storm Stacey and Luke Hedger.
01:18:21So, heading to Alton Park in two weeks time.
01:18:24Kyle Ride has a 19 point lead over Scott Redding.
01:18:27And look at that battle for third.
01:18:28That's closed up.
01:18:29Leon Haslam just two behind Bradley Ray now.
01:18:32But Brad himself 85 down on his old teammate Kyle Ride.
01:18:36Max Cook is also closing on 151 now.
01:18:40Ahead of Skinner Vickers, Idden Irwin and Jackson.
01:18:45Danny Kemp with a top ten.
01:18:46Just outside the top ten in the standings.
01:18:48Ahead of Storm Stacey.
01:18:49He's had a tough weekend.
01:18:51Josh Brooks, no points on offer here today.
01:18:53Ahead of the rookie, Joe Talbot.
01:18:56Thank you, Matt.
01:18:56Yeah, Danny with Max Cook.
01:18:57Max, a trio of third places.
01:19:00You said you were looking forward to riding the AJN Still Stopping Motor here at Brands Hatch.
01:19:04And you certainly delivered three podium finishes.
01:19:06Congratulations.
01:19:07Yeah, really pleased for that.
01:19:08And there's triple podium.
01:19:09I could only dream of it, you know, last year.
01:19:11And, you know, I did it at Donington earlier in the year.
01:19:14And, you know, and then to do it at Brands Hatch, you know, a couple of months later.
01:19:17I'm well happy with that.
01:19:18Honestly, I'm so, so happy.
01:19:20I mean, a huge thank you to AJN Still Stopping Motor.
01:19:22Give me a great bike all weekend.
01:19:24It was enough to do a fast lap and stay with them for a few laps.
01:19:28But there's still a little bit of a way to go, you know, and just do it.
01:19:31I don't like, you know, to drop back those last couple of laps, you know,
01:19:33as a ride, you see those boys up in front clearing off a little bit.
01:19:36And I'm like, no, no, no, I just need to hang in there.
01:19:37And, you know, that's all to come.
01:19:39Obviously, it's a new bike.
01:19:40There's not many of them about at the moment.
01:19:42And, you know, it's super nice to be part of this project.
01:19:45And, yeah, what they've done for us so far has been amazing.
01:19:48I've masked that over from Wolfsworth Park this weekend,
01:19:50tried some little bits and bobs.
01:19:51And, yeah, they've really helped us.
01:19:52So, yeah, huge thank you to them.
01:19:54Super quick question, because we've got to push on.
01:19:56Will going back to Halton Park, a track you've already raced at this year on that bike,
01:19:59help you next time out?
01:20:00Yeah, for sure.
01:20:01We'll hit the ground running.
01:20:02Obviously, we had round one there.
01:20:03So we had a few little tweaks.
01:20:04It was quite a while, actually, to get a good feeling with it.
01:20:06But obviously, we hit the ground running.
01:20:08Obviously, we'll have three days.
01:20:10Obviously, peak of summer as well.
01:20:11So we should have some good weather throughout.
01:20:12Look forward to seeing you there, Max.
01:20:13Well done this weekend.
01:20:14Yeah, huge thank you, guys.
01:20:15Cheers.
01:20:16Right.
01:20:17Second place, then, for the first time, is the second place this weekend.
01:20:21Kyle looked to me like you had a few little brake issues there or something not quite right.
01:20:24But nonetheless, you know, Follett's got all the way home.
01:20:27It's been a fantastic weekend.
01:20:28Yeah, points-wise, amazing.
01:20:31Just so got to drive home now knowing that I could have won that race.
01:20:35I had so much speed at the end.
01:20:37I just, I had one lap down the end of the back straight where I went for the brakes and
01:20:40I had
01:20:40absolutely nothing.
01:20:41So you must know what that feel like.
01:20:43And every other lap, I went down the back straight and I pumped it three times just to make sure
01:20:47it was
01:20:47there.
01:20:48So I was never going to win.
01:20:49And even if I got close to Scott, I wasn't brave enough to make a pass anyway, because I didn't
01:20:52want
01:20:52to take us both out if I didn't have a lever.
01:20:54So it's called smart enough, not brave enough.
01:20:56Yeah, it was just honestly, my heart rate was up from the moment that I nearly crashed rather
01:21:00than the riding the bike fast.
01:21:02So yeah, I had a lot more speed there to show that what I did in that race.
01:21:05But two first and a second, a new lap record and a 23, not a bad weekend.
01:21:09Fastest ever man round Browns.
01:21:10That's Kyle Wright.
01:21:11Congratulations on a great weekend.
01:21:12Cheers, mate.
01:21:14Right then, it's a change of position for these two.
01:21:17Your race three winner coming in now, Scott.
01:21:20It's got to be a smile on that face now, surely.
01:21:22I can go home happy now.
01:21:24I was a little bit upset earlier and in the race,
01:21:26it's just feeling like I couldn't show my full potential.
01:21:29And then I felt like, not perfect, but I was pretty close.
01:21:32I felt like I could really show myself.
01:21:35Got point eight, safety car was like, I almost just got the gap big enough that I could start
01:21:40to manage a little bit.
01:21:42Then the safety car come out, I had to regroup and I thought, well, you're here now.
01:21:46Just try and do it all over again.
01:21:48Got a little bit of a gap again.
01:21:50But Kyle did keep me honest.
01:21:52He was dead and I went defensive.
01:21:53But I feel like going back to the set we had yesterday, I was able to improve my weak points
01:21:59with my riding and that allowed him not to overtake me where he was strong.
01:22:04So I just played it as best I could for the situation I had.
01:22:08Normally passes to one, I was breaking a bit later.
01:22:11Down into turn three, I was guarding the line.
01:22:13I was just doing what I had to do to try and win.
01:22:16And I was happy to get that win because I was getting a little bit upset earlier,
01:22:19ain't going to lie.
01:22:20But you need that sometimes.
01:22:21You need to kick up the butt and it just makes you go a little bit harder.
01:22:24Fantastic job in that race, Scott.
01:22:26Well done and a great weekend.
01:22:27Cheers mate.
01:22:28Thank you everyone.
01:22:40So Scott Redding victorious then in race three,
01:22:43but with two wins and the fastest ever lap of Brands Hatch on two wheels.
01:22:48It's Kyle Ride who leaves as the king of brands and the championship rolls on to Alton Park.
01:22:54Well the party has started here at Brands Hatch, but not yet for Kyle Ride.
01:22:59I think that's going to be later this evening.
01:23:00The garage next door are enjoying themselves.
01:23:02Scott Redding after that win in race three.
01:23:07What do you reckon to that, Kyle?
01:23:08No comment.
01:23:14Scott's enjoying himself, fair play.
01:23:16It was a great, great weekend for both of you.
01:23:18But you are the rider of the round.
01:23:21Army be the best rider of the round as voted for by the fans, Kyle.
01:23:24Yeah, the viewing public's voted you.
01:23:25I didn't even knew you'd been in the army, right?
01:23:27And I've known you a while.
01:23:28But anyway, as voted for by the viewing public, you are the rider of the round.
01:23:32Thank you very much, everybody.
01:23:34Fastest ever lap of Brands Hatch on two wheels by anybody ever.
01:23:37Two wins, Kyle.
01:23:39And you've extended your championship lead.
01:23:40I know that sometimes the way that weekend ends can sort of dictate how you feel at the end of
01:23:45it.
01:23:45But what are your reflections overall?
01:23:47Yeah, exactly.
01:23:48Driving down in the murder room, if you'd have told me, obviously,
01:23:51doing a 1.23, two wins in the second place, I would have snapped your hand off for it.
01:23:56So, yeah, I've had a great weekend.
01:23:57Bikes worked well all weekend.
01:23:58Just that last race had a few brake lever issues that I could keep up with Scott.
01:24:02I just didn't dare make a pass.
01:24:04So second was all we could do in that last race.
01:24:06But anyway, it's been a great weekend.
01:24:08I've seen something of a mind kind of swap you've got.
01:24:12You're looking at this a little bit different of the last, I'd say, couple of meetings.
01:24:17Once you've found your feet with that bike, which didn't take long, you've started to approach things
01:24:22and go at it a little bit more aggressively.
01:24:24Not in a dangerous way.
01:24:26You've still got that kind of finishing feeling and control.
01:24:29But yeah, I think I kind of treat Scott a little bit like me.
01:24:33He stays on the bike a lot and is very fast.
01:24:37So it's a bit earlier than what I normally have been chasing for wins.
01:24:41Yeah, but obviously I've done 15 races.
01:24:44I've been on the podium 15 times and I've only got 19 points in the championship.
01:24:48So it's very close and every little win matters.
01:24:52So this time last year, this second place that I've just done would have been okay.
01:24:56But now I'm a little bit peed off because I knew I could have had a chance to win it
01:24:59because I saved the tire really good.
01:25:01I just unfortunately, a few brake issues cost me a chance to win that race.
01:25:05But like I said, fastest ever lap at Brands, two wins in the second place.
01:25:08Not bad.
01:25:09Carl, 75 races in a row without a DNF.
01:25:14I mean, that is incredible.
01:25:15I can't think of any other top line motorcycle racer.
01:25:18You're looking at two people who could do up three or four without seven between us.
01:25:21How are you finding that limit?
01:25:23Because you're never going over it.
01:25:25Well, I did took the front a few times in that race there.
01:25:28The track temp was up and just following someone like Scott,
01:25:32we've got different gear, even got the same bike,
01:25:34completely different gear pattern for the whole track.
01:25:36And at turn one, because I couldn't do my line and where I braked,
01:25:40I kept tucking the front at the apex.
01:25:41So it was actually safer for me to be 0.8 behind and focus on what I'm good at.
01:25:47And then with eight laps to go, I just dug in, did my fastest laps, got to Scott and
01:25:50yeah, got to the end of the back straight and the brake come straight to the bar.
01:25:54And that was a big old panic.
01:25:55And yeah, unfortunately, I didn't really get to tire myself.
01:25:59I was just, my heart rate was through the roof by not trying to hit a wall at 170 miles
01:26:02an hour.
01:26:03So not the best end to the weekend.
01:26:05But like I said, second place, yeah, it's a great weekend.
01:26:08It must make you look forward that extra little bit more as well to the next one,
01:26:11Carl, and keep this momentum going.
01:26:12Well, that was obviously, Alton Park was a great weekend for me last time we went.
01:26:15Bike works well there.
01:26:17I'm intrigued to see how the bike's going to react when we go back there,
01:26:20because we've changed so much.
01:26:21Obviously, it's a new bike for me.
01:26:23First time on Olin's in many years.
01:26:25So when we go back, we've probably got a few different things to try,
01:26:27but at least we know we've got a bike that works.
01:26:29Thanks, Carl.
01:26:30We'll look forward to seeing you there.
01:26:31Cheers, everyone.
01:26:32It's a date for your summer holiday diaries,
01:26:35an earlier than normal return for the second time in the season to Alton Park.
01:27:12Always great fun at Alton Park.
01:27:13It's going to be even nicer to be there in the summer sunshine.
01:27:16Join us for that if you can.

01:27:34Also that weekend, it's Round 7 of the Speedway Grand Prix World Championship,
01:27:38taking place for the first time at Poland's newest Speedway Stadium in Lodz.
01:27:42And the following weekend is the biggest of the year for British MotoGP fans.

01:27:50I remember him, and an epic battle shaping up for the championship at the front.
01:27:55Looking forward to that. Plenty to enjoy on TNT Sports in the meantime.
01:28:01But that's it from Brands Hatch.
01:28:03An iconic circuit where once upon a time, King Carl secured his legacy.
01:28:07But nowadays, it's very much the domain of King Carl.
01:28:11Let's kick it out.
01:28:11Go.
