00:06hello there folks and happy sunday to you it's lovely to see you again and i hope that i find
00:11you very well indeed and thanks for coming over just to see what i've made for the family meals
00:16this week as usual starting on monday through till today which is sunday and if i've got any
00:22video recipes for the meals that you'll see here i'll leave them in the comments down below and
00:27also in the description box as you can see on monday it was actually mr what's for tea's birthday
00:33so i took him to a wee local spa and we had an overnight stay there was prosecco in the
00:38room
00:38and it came with dinner bed and breakfast so it was a bit of a package we ended up not
00:42drinking
00:43that prosecco we forgot to drink it so we just left it but within the you know that what i
00:48paid
00:48you got your dinner you got breakfast and also the prosecco so although i'm going to show you the
00:53prices here we didn't actually pay these prices because it was included in the room rate which was
00:58phenomenal because you know the food you know it's not cheap so it was really nice to get it included
01:02so to start mr what's for tea had the carrot and coriander soup i had the cullen skink which is
01:08a
01:08beautiful creamy thick smoked haddock and potato soup and i do have a video recipe for this i done
01:15a few years ago and i'll leave it down in the comments in case you want to make that that's
01:20my
01:20favorite soup in the world it's just lovely and so creamy and comforting and then for the main course
01:27mr what's for tea had fish and chips i was going to get fish and chips as well but i
01:32didn't because i
01:33always get fish and chips so i decided to get steak pie and this actually comes with mashed potato
01:38but i asked for chips instead of the mashed potato which is absolutely fine obviously they got chips they'll
01:44give you chips and this was lovely the steak underneath was melt in the mouth tender yeah this was
01:50absolutely delicious so yeah steak pie for me fish and chips for him and again just a quick look at
01:56the menu but like i said we didn't pay these prices because it was included in our overnight rate and
02:01then for the dessert i had this bailey's and mango cheesecake and mr what's for tea actually just had
02:08ice cream so yeah just basic but this is what i had it was lovely and again that mango koolie
02:14or mango
02:14sauce and the top was just to die for and again just a quick look at the dessert menu but
02:20like i said
02:20we didn't pay these prices because it was included in the room rate but thoroughly enjoyed all of that
02:26i'm just a bit bummed about prosecco that we didn't actually end up having it but there you go
02:30so on tuesday i made a creamy cheesy chicken and broccoli pasta so as you can see this is penny
02:38pasta
02:38this is actually my favorite type of pasta i think it you know it goes with so many things
02:43other than macaroni i think you're better with macaroni for macaroni cheese or obviously spaghetti
02:49for a spaghetti bolognese type thing but something like this i think the penny pasta just works
02:54wonderfully so it's beautifully cheesy and creamy with broccoli and chicken in there as well
03:00and then moving on to wednesday more pasta and again i do have a video recipe for the cheeseburger
03:06pasta bake i will leave in the comments down below and also in the description box underneath the
03:13video so lots of you have gone on to make this now and you know you say that you love
03:18it as as much as
03:19we do this is one of my favorite pastas it doesn't look the prettiest you know it's macaroni there's
03:25ground beef in there although this one is corn mince so it's the vegetarian option there's cheese
03:30mushrooms onions oh it's just lovely and this is it here just out the oven and like i said i
03:36will
03:36leave the video recipe down below in case you want to go and make it for yourself and then moving

03:42to thursday one that's really easy to pull together and you can switch up every time just change your
03:47soup change your sandwich filling and you've got a different dinner you could have this every night
03:51of the week if you wanted and have it completely different but this soup here is going to be
03:57thursday's video recipe and it's not the best looking soup in the world but the flavor
04:02is lovely so i've got a fresh baguette there that baguette is from a local bakery and the smell
04:08off of these things was unbelievable and i've spread some dijon mustard on the bread on the inside
04:14smoked ham and some tomatoes a few barbecue lentil chips and a beautiful creamy chicken and mushroom
04:22soup now this soup here is not the best looking soup in the world like i said but it's really
04:27really
04:27tasty so the video recipe for this will be coming on thursday and this is it here just as it
04:34was ready
04:35to serve and it smells amazing as well lovely rich flavor and then moving on to friday another one of
04:42our meat free days and you will have seen these wee sausages if you watched my food shopping and bagging
04:48the other day these are the linda mccartney lincolnshire style sausages and they are really nice you know
04:55just for a meat free alternative so i've got some baked beans there on the bottom and i've made some
05:01lovely creamy mashed potato with a touch of cream and some butter in there as well and just three
05:07of those wee lincolnshire style sausages from linda mccartney like i said they're nothing like butcher
05:14sausages or pork or beef sausages they don't have the texture of meat obviously because they are plant
05:20based but they are really tasty as well but this is what i had this is typically what i would
05:26have
05:26you know i do like bangers and mash but i much prefer a jacket potato i eat a lot of
05:32jacket potatoes
05:33these are the wee mccain jackets and i've got some tuna mayo some coleslaw and then some iceberg lettuce
05:39and tomato on the side and then moving on to yesterday i made a fish pie so this is my
05:45kind of cheaty
05:46fish pie or you know quick to make fish pie because for the base i actually used the fish and
05:52butter
05:53sauce from the freezer section you know you just boil it in the pan and then it's ready basically
05:57but i have added a wee touch of cream and some sweet corn into that as well i've topped that
06:03with
06:03mashed potato some breadcrumbs and cheese popped into the oven just to make it go nice and bubbly
06:09on the top with some broccoli on the side so i highly recommend using the fish
06:14in butter sauce or fish and parsley sauce to do your fish pies because it'll take you about half
06:20the time and then moving on to today again not a sunday roast in sight we had fish fingers
06:25so we had fish fingers for our sunday dinner but this is a posh fish finger sandwich actually got
06:32this idea from a local cafe who well i've been doing this a wee while but originally seen it in
06:37a local
06:37cafe and i thought that's a brilliant idea so we've got some lovely bloomer tiger bread with a touch of
06:43mayonnaise or more than a touch of mayonnaise and then some iceberg lettuce sliced tomatoes a wee bit
06:49of pepper on the top and a couple of these chunky tesco cod fish fingers which are massive they're about
06:55three times the size of normal fish fingers i've got some cheesy coleslaw at the back a wee buttered
07:02corn in the cob and some homemade potato wedges with seasoning done in the air fryer and these wedges
07:08aren't burnt it's just that the seasoning i used is quite dark so they do look burnt but i can
07:13assure
07:13you they're not burnt they were absolutely delicious so yeah just a wee bit different for us
07:18for a sunday we don't usually have a roast dinner on a sunday or if we do it's not intentional
07:23you know
07:24it isn't planned in any way it just happens that way but that was everything that we had this week
