00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for us, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The second book of kings, chapter 17.
04:21The king of Assyria brought foreigners from Babylon, Kutba, Abba, Hamath, and Sephardim,
04:29settling them in the cities of Samaria in the place of the Israelites.
04:35They took possession of Samaria, and lived in its cities.
04:39When they first moved in, they did not worship the Lord.
04:43So the Lord sent lions among them, and the lions were killing them.
04:49And the king of Assyria was told,
04:51The nations whom you deported and settled in the cities of Samaria
04:56do not know the requirements of the God of the land.
04:59So he has sent lions among them.
05:03They are killing the people, because they do not know the requirements of the God of the land.
05:10So the king of Assyria ordered,
05:12Take back one of the priests whom you have deported from there.
05:17He must settle there, and teach them the requirements of the God of the land.
05:23So one of the priests, whom they had deported from Samaria,
05:27went back and settled in Bethel.
05:29He taught them how to worship the Lord.
05:33But each of these nations made its own gods,
05:36and put them in the shrines of the high places that the people of Samaria had made.
05:44Each nation did this.
05:46In the cities where they had lived,
05:48The people from Babylon made Succoth-Benoth.
05:52The people from Kath made Negel.
05:56And the people from Hamath made Ashima.
05:59And the Avites made Nipah and Tartak.
06:03And the Sephavites burned their sons in the fire as an offering to Adramelech and Anamelech,
06:11the gods of the Sephavim.
06:15At the same time, they worshipped the Lord.
06:18They appointed some of their own people to serve as priests in the shrines on the high places.
06:24They were worshipping the Lord at the same time serving their own gods,
06:29in accordance with the practices of the nations from which they had been deported.
06:36To this very day, they observed their earlier practices.
06:40They do not worship the Lord.
06:43They do not obey the rules, regulations, law and commandments
06:47that the Lord gave the descendants of Jacob, whom he renamed Israel.
06:55The Lord made an agreement with them and instructed them,
06:59You must not worship other gods.
07:02Do not bear down to them, serve them or offer sacrifices to them.
07:07Instead, you must worship the Lord,
07:10who brought you out of the land of Egypt by his great power and military ability.
07:16Bow down to him and offer sacrifices to him.
07:21You must carefully obey at all times the rules, regulations,
07:25law and commandments he wrote down for you.
07:29You must not worship other gods.
07:34You must never forget the agreement I made with you,
07:37and you must not worship other gods.
07:40Instead, you must worship the Lord your God.
07:43Then he will rescue you from the power of all your enemies.
07:51But they pay no attention.
07:54Instead, they observe their earlier practices.
07:58These nations are worshipping the Lord
08:01and at the same time serving their old idols.
08:04Their sons and grandsons do just as their fathers have done
08:08to this very day.
08:11This is the word of the Lord.
08:14Thanks be to God.
08:21I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, with thy hope, O Lord.
08:29I will speak, O Lord, thy heart and love's words.
08:35I will be glad and rejoice in thee.
08:41May my song, O Lord, with thy name, O Lord.
08:45May my songs, with thy name, O Lord, my name, O Lord, my name, O Lord.
08:54Todo of God.
08:57I will give thanks to thee, O Lord.
09:03After may my song, O Lord, my name, O Lord.
09:07O Lord, who are all yours made to thee, O Lord, my heart and love's word.
09:14O Lord, I swear my song, O Lord, my name, O Lord.
