00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for us, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The second book of Chronicles, chapter 28
04:21Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem.
04:29He did not do what pleased the Lord, in contrast to his ancestor, David.
04:35He followed in the footsteps of the kings of Israel.
04:39He also made images of the Baals.
04:44He offered sacrifice in the valley of Ben-Hinnon, and passed his sons through a fire.
04:51A horrible sin practiced by the nations, whom the Lord drove out before the Israelites.
04:57He offered sacrifices and burnt incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.
05:07The Lord his God handed him over to the king of Syria.
05:11The Syrians defeated him and deported many captives to Damascus.
05:16He was also handed over to the king of Israel, who thoroughly defeated him.
05:24In one day, King Pichar, son of Ramaliel of Israel, killed 120,000 warriors in Judah,
05:32because they had abandoned the Lord God of their ancestors.
05:38Ezekiel, an Ephraimite warrior, killed the king's son, Maseah,
05:44as Rikam, the supervisor of the palace, and Elkanah, the king's second-in-command.
05:52The Israelites seized from their brothers 200,000 wives, sons, and daughters,
05:59and carried off a huge amount of plunder and took it back to Samaria.
06:08Oda, the prophet of the Lord was there.
06:11He went to meet the army, as they arrived in Samaria, and said to them,
06:16Look, because the Lord God of your ancestors was angry with Judah,
06:20he handed them over to you.
06:24You have killed them so mercilessly that God has taken notice.
06:29Now you are planning to enslave the people of Judah and Jerusalem.
06:35And yet, are you not also guilty before the Lord your God?
06:41Listen to me.
06:43Send back those you have seized from your brothers,
06:46for the Lord is very angry at you.
06:51So some of the Ephraimite family leaders.
06:56Azariah, son of Jehochanan,
06:59Berekiah, son of Meshillamot,
07:02Jezikiah, son of Shalom,
07:04and Amasa, son of Hadlai,
07:06confronted those returning from the battle.
07:09They said to them,
07:11Don't bring those captives here.
07:14Are you planning to make us even more sinful and guilty before the Lord?
07:20Our guilt is already great,
07:22and the Lord is angry at Israel.
07:26So the soldiers released the captives and the plunder
07:29before the officials and the entire assembly.
07:34Men were assigned to take the prisoners
07:36and find clothes among the plunder for those who were naked.
07:41And so they clothed them,
07:42supplied them with sandals,
07:44gave them food and drink,
07:45and provided them with oil to rub on their skin.
07:49They put the ones who couldn't walk on donkeys
07:52and took them back to their brothers at Jericho,
07:57the city of the date palm trees,
08:00before they returned back to Zemaria.
08:04At that time,
08:06King Ahaz asked the king of Assyria for help.
08:10The Edomites had again invaded
08:11and defeated Judah and carried off captives.
08:15The Philistines had raided the cities of Judah
08:18in the lowlands and in the Negev.
08:22They captured and settled
08:24in Beth Shemesh,
08:26Aijalon,
08:27Jedaroth,
08:27Socor,
08:28and its surrounding villages,
08:31Timnah and its surrounding villages,
08:34Gizmo and its surrounding villages.
08:38The Lord humiliated Judah
08:40because of King Ahaz of Israel,
08:42for he encouraged Judah to sin
08:45and was very unfaithful to the law.
08:49King Tiglath-Pileser of Assyria came,
08:52but he gave him more trouble than support.
08:56Ahaz gathered riches from the Lord's temple,
08:59the royal palace,
09:00and the officials
09:01and gave them over to the king of Assyria.
09:04But that did not help.
09:08During his time of trouble,
09:10King Ahaz was even more unfaithful to the Lord.
09:14He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus,
09:17whom he thought had defeated him.
09:20He reasoned,
09:21But since the gods of the kings of Damascus helped them,
09:25I will sacrifice them,
09:26so they will help me.
09:29But they caused him and all Israel
09:31to stumble even more.
09:34Ahaz gathered the items
09:36in the Lord's temple and removed them.
09:38He shut up the doors of the Lord's temple
09:41and erected altars
09:43on every street corner in Jerusalem.
09:45In every city throughout Judah,
09:48he set up high places
09:49to offer sacrifices to other gods.
09:52He angered the Lord God of his ancestors.
09:58The rest of the events of Ahaz's reign,
10:01including his accomplishments
10:02from start to finish,
10:05are recorded in the scroll
10:07of the kings of Judah and Israel.
10:10Ahaz passed away
10:11and was buried in the city of David.
10:14But they did not bring him
10:16to the tombs of the kings of Israel.
10:18His son Hezekiah replaced him as king.
10:24This is the word of the Lord.
10:26Thanks be to God.
10:33We have heard with our ears of God
10:38Our fathers have told us
10:42What love has done in their time, O Lord
10:47How thou hast written out a needle
10:52in thy hand
10:53And brought to them in
10:57How long as it's drier than angels
11:02And cast them out
11:04All the castles and land
11:08In the sentient
11:10You'll never have to store
11:13Like the horses
11:16With a roar of thy heaven
11:20Watch thy right hand
11:24And thy love
11:25And the eyes of thy captains
11:30In all the hearts of prayer
11:34Come to them
11:37God, my King, O God
11:42Send heaven to Jacob
11:46God, my King, O God
11:48For thee will be all the trials
11:54For thee will be all the trials
11:55And in my name
11:56Will be forever
11:58And the light of thy pentas
12:03For thee will not trust in thy love
12:08It is very foreign

18:15My heart is enticing of a good man. I speak of the things which I have made unto the king.
18:26My tongue is the man of the ready-nighter. Thou art better than the children of men.
18:40God of grace are my gifts, because God hath blessed me for heaven.
18:49God of grace are my gifts, because God hath blessed me for heaven.
18:59God of grace are my gifts, because God hath blessed me for heaven.

19:37God of grace are my gifts, because God hath blessed me for heaven.
19:53The scepter of thy kingdom is our God's center.
20:03Thou hast got righteous hands and hated in me green.
20:12Wherefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee
20:18with the oil of gladness above thy heaven.
20:26All thy garments, smell of myrrh, alons and cats,
20:33out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
20:45Thou hast got righteous hands and hath anointed thee
20:50with the oil of gladness above thy hand.
20:52Thou hast got righteous hands and hath anointed thee
20:57in the flesh of God.
21:00Thou hast got righteous hands and hath anointed thee
21:10stil in thy life.
21:16Thou hast got righteous hands and hath anointed thee
21:18For get also thy loved people and thy fathers not.
21:25So shall the king have pleasure in thy youth.
21:35For he is thy Lord God and worship the king.
21:44And the daughter of time shall be there with the king.
21:53And the daughter of time shall be there with the king.
22:20And the daughter of time shall be brought unto the king in the kingdom of the Lord.
22:29And the Lord into the earth shall be there with the king.
22:35And shall be brought unto thee.
22:41With joy and gladness shall they be brought.
22:48And shall enter into thy kingdom's palace.
22:55Instead of thy father's heart and children.
23:03O God, may I take great skies in old hands.
23:10I will remember thy name from one generation to another.
23:20God, may I take great skies and gladness shall be brought.
23:29For his land shall be brought.
23:37And shall be brought unto the king.
23:41And shall be brought.
23:50is now and ever shall be,
23:59one with our strength.

27:23The Gospel according to St John, Chapter 18.
27:29Then they brought Jesus from Caiaphas to the Roman governor's residence.
27:35It was already early morning.
27:39They did not go into the governor's residence,
27:42so they would not be ceremonially defiled,
27:45but could eat the Passover meal.
27:48So Pilate came outside to them and said,
27:52What accusation do you bring against this man?
27:55They replied,
27:57Were this man not a criminal,
27:59we would not have handed him over to you.
28:04Pilate told them,
28:06Take him away yourselves and pass judgment on him,
28:09according to your own law.
28:14The Jewish leaders replied,
28:16We cannot legally put anyone to death.
28:21This happened to fulfill the word of Jesus according to what kind of death he was going to die.
28:30So Pilate went back into the governor's residence and summoned Jesus asking him,
28:36Are you the king of the Jews?
28:40Jesus replied,
28:42Are you saying this on your own initiative or have others told you about me?
28:49Pilate answered,
28:50I am not a Jew, am I?
28:53Your own people and your own chief priests handed you over to me.
28:58What have you done?
29:02Jesus replied,
29:04My kingdom is not from this world.
29:07If my kingdom were from this world,
29:10My servants would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish authorities.
29:16But as it is,
29:18My kingdom is not from here.
29:21Then Pilate said,
29:22So you are a king.
29:27Jesus replied,
29:28You say that I am a king.
29:31For this reason I was born and for this reason I came into the world to testify to the truth.
29:39Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.
29:46Pilate asked,
29:48What is truth?
29:52When he had said this,
29:55He went back outside to the Jewish leaders and announced,
29:58I find no basis for an accusation against him.
30:03But is it not your custom that I release one prisoner for you at the Passover?
30:08So do you want me to release for you the king of the Jews?
30:13They shouted back,
30:15Not this man,
30:16But Barabbas.
30:19And Barabbas was a revolutionary.
30:24This is the word of the Lord.
30:27Thanks be to God.
30:34Collect for peace.
30:36O God, who is the author of peace and lover of concord,
30:41In knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
30:45Whose service is perfect freedom,
30:48Defend us, your humble servants,
30:50In all assaults of our enemies,
30:53That we, surely trusting in your defence,
30:57May not fear the power of any adversaries.
31:00Through the might of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
31:04Amen.
31:08Collect for our safe preservation.
31:12O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
31:14Almighty and everlasting God,
31:16Who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day.
31:20Defend us in the same with your mighty power,
31:23And grant that this day we fall into no sin,
31:28Neither run into any kind of danger,
31:30But that all our doings may be ordered by your governance,
31:36To do always that which is righteous in your sight.
31:40Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
31:44Amen.
31:47Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me,
31:53And let me devote myself completely to your sacred will.
31:58Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
32:02Control my thoughts and feelings in all my deeds and words.
32:07When unpredictable circumstances arise,
32:11Do not let me forget that everything comes from you.
32:16Lord Jesus, Son of God,
32:19It is better not to live than to live without you.
32:23I thank you, God, for the gift of this new day,
32:26And for all the good deeds you will help me do today.
32:32Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day to my Lord and Saviour.
32:38Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
32:43Never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
32:47Control my will and teach me to pray,
32:50To believe, to hope, to suffer, to forgive and to love.
32:57Amen.
33:01We pray for the work of your faithful servants throughout the world, Lord.
33:08Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
33:14May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
33:17The love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
33:21Be with us all today and for ever more.
33:26Amen.
33:30Amen.
33:31Amen.
33:32Amen.
33:33Amen.
33:33Amen.
