AccuWeather's Bernie Rayno says weekend severe storms will move eastward across the Plains and into the Northeast on Monday. This will cause major travel issues with high winds, hail and heavy rain.

00:00Headed back to work on Monday, expect major travel delays as our weekend storm presses east and we're looking at
00:09delays not only on the roadways, but also on your flights.
00:13Now, it begins this weekend, our storm comes across the plane Saturday, and then by Sunday night, Monday, that storm
00:20is going to rapidly intensify.
00:22When you get up on Monday, that storm is going to be located across northern Michigan. On the back side
00:29of the storm, windblown snow, cities like Chicago, Green Bay, all the way into the upper peninsula of Michigan.
00:36Then, on the southern side, we'll be tracking an area of rain and thunderstorms that will spread from the southeast
00:43all the way into the mid-Atlantic and into the northeast.
00:46And notice all the white lines around that storm. What is that showing you? Plenty of wind that will be
00:54howling as we go through our Monday, from cities like Green Bay, Chicago, all the way toward New York City,
01:00and also Boston.
01:02We talked about the heavy snow on the northern side of the storm. How about the rain and the threat
01:08for severe thunderstorms?
01:10As we move into Monday and Monday afternoon, that yellow area is showing you the risk, and there will be
01:16damaging winds and some heavy downpours.
01:19And because of all of these impacts, major travel delays on the roadways, and notice the thousands of flights that
01:27we are projecting that will be canceled or certainly delayed as we go through Monday.
