A group of reckless bikers allegedly blocked the path of an ambulance carrying a patient and performed dangerous wheelies despite the vehicle's siren blaring, in an incident that has sparked widespread outrage.

According to reports, the incident occurred at around 2:30 am on July 4 between Goraguntepalya and Yeshwanthpur in Bengaluru.

The ambulance, carrying a patient in need of urgent medical attention, was travelling with its siren on. However, five to six bikers allegedly occupied the road, preventing the ambulance from getting a clear passage while continuing to perform dangerous stunts.

A video of the incident, now circulating on social media, shows the bikers riding ahead of the ambulance, with several pillion riders not wearing helmets. The footage also shows the patient lying inside the ambulance during the ordeal.

The incident has triggered sharp criticism, with many social media users demanding strict action against those responsible for obstructing an emergency vehicle and endangering lives.

Police said they are examining CCTV footage to identify the bikers involved. A case will be registered and appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
