A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after falling into a waterlogged pothole on a poorly repaired road at Azad Chowk in Gujarat's Junagadh city. The accident was captured on CCTV.

The footage shows the biker losing control after riding into a deep pothole concealed by rainwater. He suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. The woman travelling with him immediately rushed to his aid.

According to local residents, the road had been dug up for civic work but was never properly restored, leaving behind a deep crater that became invisible after being filled with rainwater.

In a separate incident, three to four people reportedly fell into the same waterlogged pothole in the Oghadnagar area, highlighting the poor condition of the city's roads. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in those incidents.

Heavy rainfall also caused severe waterlogging near the Joshipara drain at Majewadi Gate, where a car became stranded in floodwater. The Fire Brigade rescued the driver and safely recovered the vehicle.

The incidents have raised fresh concerns over Junagadh's road infrastructure and civic maintenance, with residents demanding immediate repairs and better safety measures to prevent further accidents.
