00:00:08here to review everything that happened on the last night's episode of NXT.

00:00:57It doesn't mean it was good, but I liked it.

00:01:06as everyone knows on this podcast, we're a little bit too f***ing real.

00:01:30I couldn't sit here if I didn't watch the show.
00:01:33But some of it, sometimes minutes go by, and I'm like,

00:01:36Pay attention.
00:01:38And I was like, right, okay, you know what I'm going to do?
00:01:42The overnight charge is still in effect,
00:01:44but I had a nice 10 minutes before switching it on.
00:01:46It's on like, I'm going to put the thing on charge and just watch it.
00:01:51It's even worse.
00:01:55Because when you're not sort of half paying attention and the moves are,
00:01:59it's really bad this show.

00:02:01And when you pay more attention to it, the worse it gets.

00:02:12Usually what happens is when we do WWE coverage,
00:02:16we'll bone and go, hey, it's a rundown of the match.
00:02:18I make it sound more exciting than it is because I'm in their pocket.
00:02:23And then Hanflet will do the talking first for WWE,
00:02:26and then we'll flip reverse that in AEW.
00:02:28There's one match that I would like to request.

00:08:03But I'd read so many of the lists in researching what the sort of, like, style was that a lot

00:14:24This didn't really work for me.

00:14:29I've had this problem with a few wrestlers on NXT lately.
00:14:31It's not exactly a USP, but the idea is they do something so wow and amazing that, like, another older
00:14:38wrestler will be like, oh, yeah, I'll come along for the rider.
00:14:40This is pretty good.
00:14:42Or wrestlers such as Fraxin that they're facing are, we're really going to have to level up here.
00:14:46We've underestimated this guy, whatever.
00:14:48And they've just not got, he was, it was, I know, like, I would take the piss out of his
00:14:51gear or whatever, but it was kind of the same problem with Eliola Flow.
00:14:53And, like, there's been a few wrestlers like that.
00:14:55Kick him while he's down.
00:14:57Get lost.
00:14:59Like, of late, of late, a lot of wrestlers.
00:15:05He was on the Sprung of Mine, but there's been a lot.
00:15:07A lot of wrestlers who were supposed to be great, really amazing at one thing, and are just not.
00:15:13And the spot here, well, I haven't got an athletic bone in my body, but I'm allowed to criticize wrestlers
00:15:18for not doing wrestling well.

00:15:51You want to get as much hang time as you can to land on a superkick, but look as if
00:15:54you were going all out so that it really hits you.
00:15:56And the fold-up is pretty good.
00:15:58Like, Vic Joseph's like, oh, my God, he's, like, he's nearly in two down there.
00:16:01And he was, he looked crumpled, and that was good.
00:16:03But if you watch the hesitation in the run and the jump and then the, I'm in the air, I'm
00:16:08not really doing anything because he's basically prepping himself for a superkick.
00:16:13It's just, I don't know, you go to all that trouble, and that's the moment the immersion breaks, so don't
00:16:18do that.
00:16:19Yeah.
00:16:19And I just, there was a, there was a few of them in this match.
00:16:21I don't really, like, Noam Dar, his disappointment with his, you know, his new protégé, it's too convincing.
00:16:30It's, oh, I'm not on the bloody other one.
00:16:33I just, I don't know what to do with it.
00:16:35Well, that's the thing.
00:16:36That's the tragedy because it was meant, you were meant to receive this.
00:16:40It's like the match of the year, the TV match of the year, because the story told was basically, at
00:16:45the end, like, what's he called, Marino?
00:16:48Romeo Moreno.
00:16:49Moreno was like, pfft, Jesus Christ, like, this close.
00:16:52Yeah.
00:16:52And, like, Noam Dar was like, bloody hell.
00:16:54And, like, Fraxium were like, what a talent on the bloody hands here.
00:16:57You're going to have to form a tag team on the back of this absolute TV classic, and you just
00:17:01took us to the limit.
00:17:02And, like, Fraxium were basically told to act as if, like, Jesus Christ, son, you get any better than you
00:17:10already are.
00:17:11But, yeah, next thing you know, you'll be taking our spot doing, like, what, a crap eight-minute match that
00:17:16no one cares about every three weeks.
00:17:17It's on SmackDown.
00:17:18Correct.
00:17:19Well, you better watch out for you.

00:17:42It just, that bit didn't work.
00:17:44And in order for that to work, even if it was going to work and Fraxium were doing bloody great
00:17:48guns on the main roster, right, I felt a bit sorry for them.
00:17:51Because you kind of have to have the TV match of the year.
00:17:55It has to be blow-away awesome for you to think, Christ almighty, yeah, Fraxium are right.
00:17:59These guys are the real deal.
00:18:01And they do deserve to become a tag team on the back of it.
00:18:03They had what, nowadays, is a pretty bog-standard moves match, ultimately.
00:18:08One good bit with a ran superkick.
00:18:11But there was one bit where Noamdar, Noamdar, I think this is the way around.
00:18:18Noamdar had one of Fraxium sort of trapped in place with a headscissors, but he was on his back on
00:18:27the canvas.
00:18:27But he had his legs up and a headscissor for, like, Moreno to do a superkick.
00:18:31You see, he looked like he kicked Noamdar's shin, and then he flipped him over.
00:18:35And I'm like, think about it.
00:18:37How does that work?
00:18:39So I just, an incredibly all-too-ambitious match all told.
00:18:44That point about Fraxium as well, that used to sort of be, they would do it when that kind of
00:18:48thing was organic, wasn't it?
00:18:49The matches were so good for a while that you really could do that post-match.
00:18:52Not quite a curtain call, but, like, almost like a, didn't we all have a really great match there?
00:18:56And these are nearly as good as us.
00:18:58You could sort of buy it because Fraxium were having these bangers with everybody.
00:19:00We always talk about the Tavian Heights.
00:19:03Was it Tavian and Miles Bourne?
00:19:05Yeah.
00:19:05But it was, yeah, like, they were kind of knocking those quality matches out every NXT PLE,
00:19:10that it was just, didn't matter if they won or lost, it was the little celebration at the end.
00:19:14This, you know, signs are good for the target division on the main roster if this is what it's looking
00:19:18like at NXT,
00:19:18and none of it has materialised, as you say.
00:19:21So, and then the work wasn't that great.
00:19:22So there is, there was literally nothing to celebrate here.
00:19:27After this, we see Kendall Gray chatting to Wren Sinclair in the locker room,
00:19:31and Wren says she can't accompany her out there.
00:19:34She's not medically cleared, and she doesn't want to be a distraction.
00:19:37Okay?

00:19:40But Wren's going to chat to the NXT general manager about starting a tour.
