01:18they're still in italy uh the uh in alpi arena ensuring super crowd for clashing italy so that
01:25performative either no i was happy with that just buzzing to get like live fed i think it was probably
01:30when santino won the ic title in 07 they last had something on the scale and again again in raw
01:34so we
01:35can have reasonably high hopes for how hot this show will be but not because of the booking um the
01:41big
01:41headline thing that we can start with i guess is as you only had a i just want to ask
01:48nicholas did
01:49you see who was there last night i did see who was there last night yes i've been as disgusted
01:53with
01:53him since his last misplaced pass sandro tanali that's how i could do will bond's bit and it can
01:58be true i got a text message off michael surgery saying oh my god sandro tanali's at the wwe show
02:04and it actually was it actually did um yeah he was there so he might be there again tonight
02:09i'd forgot italy weren't in the world cup so he's got the summer to dick about at fed shows
02:14yeah that's like some dick about at fed shows um instruct your agent to get yourself and move to
02:19a bigger club all the stuff everybody does in the summer yeah uh so he might be there yeah
02:23something to look forward to and if he is there he's probably wondering oh what's going to happen
02:27with jacob fatu i'm being flippant there but it was a big consequence of last night's main event
02:31which we'll talk about later on the review but jacob fatu now uh defeated by roman reigns in tribal
02:37combat so has to acknowledge roman reigns has to join the bloodline um potentially will find his
02:45first foo head in some old rivals within the family as clash lately went off the air last night
02:51and the usos were sort of dragging jacob to the back under roman's command they spotted uh the mfts
02:57or what remains them the mf3s in the corner looking on we have sort of said they've been foreshadowing
03:03this overlapping of old new bloodlines since just before wrestlemania do you think this
03:07figures in as soon as tonight as part of jacob getting sworn in or whatever they're going to do
03:12yeah cool i mean he is right onto the king of the ring brackets could i care less about this
03:21nah is the answer is uh the answer to that so how's it work now well let's let's go through
03:30logistics because that's what wwe often is and uh an administrative exercise is he under contract
03:37with roman or is it just kind of like well you know i don't mean to be flipping to you
03:43like simone
03:43honor where it's like stuff flood oath where it's like there's nothing bound by law but you kind of
03:49have to do it because that's how it just goes in our sort of like the law of this whatever

04:26look at that career that he's had look at the wisdom that solo possesses i think i'm better off

04:38here right there are there are two ways in which wwe could make sense of this so solo brought jacob
04:44in
04:44and there's that like little sort of fire escape link between the two if you need one but is there
04:49something to uh jacob and solo having a bit of a two-way manipulation here like solo realizing
04:55that jacob's at a low ebb and now would be the time to kind of strike and get him back
05:00on side with this
05:01weakened mfts but also jacob thinking well he's a lesser of two evils he's an idiot i beat his ass
05:09once before i'd rather make him think that i'm under his as in solos i'd rather make solo think i'm
05:15under his thumb than actually be under roman's and i need numbers and these represent that like
05:20could the use of could jacob appear tonight to not really want to acknowledge roman and not want to
05:25follow through on the deal uh where he'll be a heel i guess because he was certainly received as a
05:29heel
05:29in the match uh because the fans were just too excited to see roman reigns ultimately so roman and
05:34the usos are about to beat him up or whatever and that's when the mft strike and all of a
05:39sudden
05:40it's three on three and jacob gets to pick a side and he's like i'm gonna go with the idiots
05:43because i think i can get control of this situation a lot easier on the old idiot side of the
05:49level i
05:49don't think he will by the way i think i think for now at least wb are fairly cautious with
05:53all of this
05:54and they just like jacob does it you know like begrudgingly throws the ones in the air he's not
06:00happy about it um but he takes his medicine i guess but as early as week one they're already making
06:07it
06:07clear like roman's making a mistake he shouldn't have shouldn't have even tried to let jacob back
06:12into the family this will obviously end poorly for him yes like i when i saw the mfts i started
06:20to
06:20think they might just be merit and chucking them all together genuinely like this roman it's a castle
06:25made of sand this roman title reign for me like and i think there was a lot to i understand
06:31that it
06:31was probably working and they're trying to build things up but they felt to me a lot to roman's comments
06:36down the lens at the end of clash in italy and on the post show that felt like a tribute
06:41to the
06:42days when he did it and you believed it you know the stuff that you love doing that stuff down
06:45the
06:45lens it's all mine all this is mine this microphone this ring while his music's playing
06:49he's leaving paul hayman's there behind him and all that kind of stuff he sort of bought it didn't
06:53yeah he was the top guy like inarguably the top guy back then um i think now it feels like

06:59tribute act to that it's like he's like he had one idea yeah and now that he's i'm this is

09:18novelty to get raw because you were so used to house shows it's like wow it's wonder now raw and
09:23this way like it's just just promos and it's like this is pretty cool i think they'll go nuts for

09:29i think whatever they've picked the right building to do this sort of stuff where the whole drama is
09:34if you go back to 2022 the drama is in the pauses isn't it because the fans are just going
09:38nuts for
09:38it the swell like what's sammy's ain't gonna do let's look at jayuso now and the fans are with it
09:43every time they see the camera move on the screen it's like oh it's like saved by the bell reactions
09:48but really fun and really effective there's almost a an element of interaction with it i think this
09:52audience will probably give this bloodline segment that yeah probably um here's the thing
09:58this shades of gray anti-heroes stuff with roman yeah i can only really do this sort of nuanced acting
10:09if you can act in a nuanced way these lock on no um no one in wwe can punk's good
10:16at it but then
10:17punk's better than most people at most things yeah and whom i meant whom i meant to care about what
10:22do
10:23what do i want to see out of this as a view war it's funny isn't it i want to
10:27see jacob fatu
10:30break free and like you know rise up to roman reigns and he's not going to take this anymore
10:38and it's going to be this like big badass revenge mission or am i like meant to throw out the
10:45ones
10:45and roman reigns is cool and he's a star i i don't know you stupid slut it's both that's what

14:13they'll do this and the stories were worse than you can ever imagine because you didn't know for
14:17definition yeah you couldn't outright you're too young to be like i know it's not gonna happen is it
14:21you know you might say that out loud then you'd go home and you'd fret yeah relentlessly about yeah
14:25and they would say swirlies swirlies in the toilet never happened to me never saw it happen for real
14:30but but then the urban where's the legend urban legend the swirly then one of like the one of the
14:34other urban legends is like they'll give you a wedgie so hard that they'll pull the underwear over your
14:40head and think about where the other bit of the underwear has gone it's gone into your arsehole yeah
14:44like they'll give you a wedgie so bad that you'll be vomiting cotton but the dx literally did that
14:50and the might'll call on roll amazing and then eventually he learned well what can i do bounces

15:35screamed at relentlessly by vince mcmahon in that headset then somewhere along the way it's like you know what uh
15:40you're a cool kid ain't that much of an asshole actually gets a bit more respect a bit more
15:46respect he gets a bit of tenure and then you realize this you know what where's the cap he's
15:54looking for like little cats to kick it's like kimmel he butches all the time yeah he makes a tip
16:01of himself and eventually like him and lola are busting chimmel's chops it's women's and they're
16:07like taking the piss he's like check out this guy so you realize as if you can start to become
16:12a bit of a prick like uh mike uh jim ross bit fat and southern him any yeah i'm not
16:18like me i'm
16:19tried a power play on pat mcfee over the shorts didn't he i and he was put soundly in his
16:23place
16:23but pat was just like i'll just leave me this is i'm bigger than this yeah so eventually cool gets
16:27himself brother day and he starts to realize there's other cats around here that i can kick i can get

16:31this sort of horrific toxic power hierarchy and i can start taking the piss out of kimmel chimmel
16:37chimmel chimmel ross like what what like that's some power play that i'll just start being less
16:44southern and fat than jim ross i mean i'm not what what yeah he negotiated deals and scouted and got
16:52like you know the rocker angle brock lesnar got like austin vouched for foley like michael hasn't
16:59any of that but guess what i don't have that voice that he has so okay so what's bad draw
17:04score score draw he eventually gets brothered in and then he's starting to like take the piss out
17:09with chimmel and ross it's jay uso it's a character that you were considered like a useless useless guy
17:16but if you can start to take the piss out of somebody else i like that in you i like
17:21the quality
17:21you have you're not a nice human being that's good you're in the original bloodline was the stain
17:26up the underpants from the first wedge you got from roman that's basically jay uso's character rock

18:09tier system is that correct and every time i hear anybody's three tier system story i'm like oh

18:21brackets please so instead of having the two tier system the primary and secondary you have
18:26first middle and high school middle school so first year is what are you you leave when you're 10 years
18:33old so what's that and six when you start you leave at 10 and you go to middle school and
18:37you're
18:3710 through to 14 and then high school is uh 14 to whatever you do yeah it's fun whatever so
18:44imagine
18:45not being an 11 year old and sharing a playground with shoe adults and how much easier on you that
18:49is how much sort of what a more like pleasant experience that is and the kind of the the different
18:54maturity everyone matures at a different age but like so it will it was nicholas a freshman at one
18:59point freshman freshman yeah the freshman at middle and high like but the age brackets because some of the
19:06older kids were real scary really shoot adults and some of them were going to go out and cause
19:10trouble yeah like i was there at like 11 with my i don't know like my little like something boot
19:20bag
19:21or something it's just some bloke buying buying a sort of pack of cans and trying to hide them for
19:27this wait a minute like this is a bit this is not right is it all smoking around the back
19:32of the
19:32bike yeah like what's he doing there scary really scary that age gap is and again the one nicholas
19:39describes just sort of and even on top of that in the what was it middle school in middle school
19:46years five and six were separated so that's like what 10 and 11 year olds yeah you're separated by a
19:54yard
19:54and then the other one is seven and eight so that's even like a two-year split and it is

20:02age it's like oh you're you're further on me in this one but like certainly um well like charlie's
20:0913 now like 10 i'd say between 10 and 13 my experience thus far is like there are sometimes
20:16when they are 16 years old and then sometimes when they're five yes they're like it is a really
20:22strange age isn't it for kind of surprising you with it it's the kiddie bit of their day when
20:26encountering 16 year olds in like a corridor like in between you know the class change do you remember
20:31like how scary like the crush was of the class change when you were in first year at secondary
20:34school and everyone was just hustling and busting through the corridors and you're this big yeah
20:39yeah i'm still this big is this the new york stock exchange like it was just
20:46just people everywhere in blazes i know it's weird that james is uh part of the school he's going to
20:55like year seven's kind of like cordoned off it's like this adjustment yeah this is in a separate
21:00complex so it's kind of like a bit of an easier transition yeah uh jack i would work even i've
21:06got
21:06any sense of direction i worked myself way around in about a week it was i was fine after a
21:09week yeah
21:10year eight is when the bullies came after me sorry so i wouldn't i wouldn't let them abuse my
21:14hamster to sleep over then they concocted over the summer i'm not laughing that's yeah i'm not i'm
21:20not because everyone's origin story for these like when you're a kid there is like this one moment
21:26isn't there well if i didn't do that the butterfly effect that was the peer pressure yeah yeah like so
21:30i was made to two lads and there was like a group of four and then two of them came
21:34around for a
21:34right when like term um ended yeah and i was like all right sleep over at uh sigi's and then
21:41they
21:41were like uh is that a hamster hey get the hamster out and they're like being like a bit
21:45around i was like don't do that and please don't do that and then i think it must have been
21:49a bit of
21:49a mood for the rest of the evening yeah and i was like everyone just go to sleep actually i'm
21:53gonna
21:53stay up late i'm turned off now you've told them you've killed the vibe while they're sat there
21:58thinking why said you're killing the vibe yeah yeah and then like all summer long they've
22:02hatched the plans like then they apparently said we'll just start bullying him in year eight
22:06if he doesn't want to be our friend anymore we'll bully him and you're right i got bullied it's
22:10the worst and it's horrible it's the worst it was three of them jesus and like the day before the
22:15sleepover you would have been like ah can't wait for the sleepover the consequences won't be dying
22:19we're gonna have a great time it's like the next year of your life it's horrible getting bullied
22:22like i remember in year eight like they were really at us like uh after school today's the day we're
22:27going to get you basically so every day was like total dread and like i remember playing football
22:31once and i was just i couldn't kick the ball properly my head was so in the subwoofer so
22:38i wasn't even goated football anymore you should have been doing what i was doing and people
22:42pleasing to the extent of experiencing literally nothing yeah no because then my hamster might
22:46have got hurt oh yeah i understand that or i got set free or whatever yeah just pretend that
22:52everything's fine and never speak about it yeah message to the kids don't hopefully none of
22:57them all listening yeah i don't don't do any of that terrible idea uh this is on row yeah
23:02well i just got school's finished now to be honest i just felt this wave of relief that i'd have
23:05to go
23:05through that again um unfortunately what we do have to go through sage is the king of the ring
23:11um the brackets were announced yesterday for the king and queen there's no triple threats always
23:16oh that's not what they are yeah i like these i like i'll rate these like i think this has
23:21been
23:21one of triple h's genuinely good innovations um well they were when the fed was hot innovations that's
23:27steve jobs they used uh uh steve doesn't do any jobs anymore everyone's getting 50 50 uh they used
23:34to be good booking devices because people would win and losing them and then there would be storylines
23:38spinning off them i don't think the fred's got their first ball anymore um and to that point the
23:43only one announced for tonight there may be more added after we've recorded but as of recording
23:47the only king they're in qualifier is a first round four-way between obafemi solo sokoa so he's on the
23:53show carmelo hayes and penta um penta's the ic champion more on him shortly but you can't really
24:01look past obafemi here to win this can't you and well you can you can because he doesn't need to
24:06get
24:06pinned but trying to avoid sharing all my thoughts on that match with brock lesnar until we get to the
24:12review am i correct in surmising that the winner of queen queen queen yep that was uh that was how
24:19new zealanders used to talk about sabio vega 995 yes indeed queen i like that i'm a martial artist
24:25queen where's queen gone i like syvia it's queen still in it i love kong
24:35yorkshire donk of course i love yorkshire donk me too good uh he's in a new one of my favorite
24:39friends um who's in it is uh is uh is over still in it yep uh obafemi solo sokoa carmelo
24:47hayes and
24:48penta am i correct and surmising that the king and queen of the ring winners go on to contend for
24:54the world titles at summer slam you are am i also correct and surmising that summer slam is in
24:58minnesota this year you are therefore surely it's uber femi versus brock probably rubber match
25:07minnesota yes probably um so i can't see uber winning this i can't see past him do you not
25:14think he wins here at least and maybe loses a semi-final or indeed a final is that another four
25:20way no no so you've got four ways that set up two semi-finals yeah to lead to a final
25:26that takes
25:26place at uh clash of champions it's a lot easier to take him out of this but there being a
25:33four-way
25:33yeah somebody else could get pinned someone can distract him as some kind of like holding pattern
25:39fluid prior to summer slam which he wins and then goes on to defeat brock generationally awful weekend
25:46for uber femi in italy yeah like if he doesn't win it this is why i think he's got to
25:51win i am of
25:52the opinion that the the booking of him to lose was so bad that he's got to destroy all three
25:58kind of
25:59like it's penta that you avoid pinning because he's a champion um probably carmelo hayes getting
26:07pinned here because solo now finds himself involved in the top mix again uh i would have uber femi pin
26:13mellow if you really wanted to but penta's not the right guy to put in a match like this you
26:17would
26:17have him against three jbrons and do a smash and stack and deal but like i don't think they'll do
26:21what is this on at seven again it'll be on at a nice time for us yeah seven eight o

27:47shockingly at the end of the incredible incredible match with uh el grande americano i guess we'll never
27:55know the identity of that guy guys in the gal this is general manager of smackdown i will write
28:01that down because now i need to make notice swear and i know i'm not was that your way to
28:07help me
28:07remember it because it might have worked i can timestamp it now and then i can i'll have to check

30:24it was basically the best three-year spot i've seen in 10 years yeah oh my god like this was

30:37that sort of happens throughout the story is referenced and then people who have been involved
30:41in it make an appearance there's an unbelievable titty shake in there i loved it um it was five

30:56matches brackets general they actually lose this furnace of a crowd for a few minutes after

31:07girlfriend yeah who was the sacked uh interviewer but he made her shocking return she's got a ticket
31:13with a ticket and there's a sequence after her return where it's like right come on that you might
31:18have done one too many here yeah or you might have done one too many wrestling moves after that
31:22because there's one near fall before she rocks up where it's like this is electrifying how the kicked out
31:27but in terms of sheer atmosphere like there's a bit where ludwig kaiser is selling it's not very
31:35he needs to talk to um cm punk and or brett hart about how to gig himself properly but in
31:42terms of his
31:43selling his pacing he's unreal like it becomes the the nicest thing i can say about this match
31:49is that it becomes a sort of like weird curio if you've not really attentive attentively uh tracked
31:58every week of the saga my experience of it is oh my god when i'm doom scrolling through x this
32:07gentrified lucha libre is the hottest thing in the world oh well that's weird but hey that's good
32:12though good for them it develops a sense of gravity and substance over this runtime where you're like
32:20how is this way more moving than i could possibly expect and it becomes over the duration of watching
32:26it and the experience less this ah this is hot that's odd because it is odd that ludwig kaiser is

36:44the fed i'm used to like it is an even greater achievement right and i i and i'm being sincere
36:52when i say this their obvious embracing of the culture does what well it makes somebody like me

37:04in this role because he legitimately took to the culture of lucha libre and of retina mexico and of
