00:09he apparently preferred that the red wings trade him to who were was made public

00:21kind of a you'll go where we trade you and you'll like it type of response from red wing fans

00:27as you would expect but i mean if you're dylan larkin's camp are we going to handle anything
00:32differently you're going to okay it's a negotiation you're my top three destinations yeah it depends
00:37how how written in stone this list is and we don't know that okay we don't know if they i

00:43red wings themselves might have said give us your top three and he says oh okay here are my top

00:47or it might be i want these three and these three only and it's written in stone chiseled in which
00:53case you know um i don't feel like he deserves any sympathy if he doesn't get traded um this is
01:00like hey i'd like you to do me a solid and i'd like you to do it at your own

01:07scenario that nobody nobody's on board with in metro detroit okay fine you want trade it out how do you
01:14get this to be make the best of a bad situation chances are it's not to limit yourself to the

01:21teams of your choice which those three teams i mean how about the red wings choose the three teams

02:33other trade story of course is tarek skuble and espn yesterday uh sat down and did it had an
02:39interesting exercise where they asked the mlb experts to put on their gm hats taking the reins
02:46of one team and pitching their best realistic offer to land skuble from their espn's mlb draft
02:53and prospect analyst kylie mcdaniel evaluated each deal dismissing those that came up short and finding
02:59ones that actually could get a blockbuster deal done this summer so they had a bunch of teams put
03:04together these offers and some of them were put in the not even close category the a's offered
03:12one two three four players and it said not even close the yankees this was interesting the yankees
03:18offer was spencer jones the outfielder that we've talked about the right hand pitcher carlos lagrange
03:24and a right hand pitcher elmer elmer rodriguez said not bad but and under the gm the response was
03:32unfortunately even including all three of these prospects wouldn't get it done because i got
03:36better offers than i was expecting from other teams on pure regular season focused model driven math
03:41aimed at avoiding big mistakes this is a solid defensible offer that however is not the mindset
03:47of other gms brought in for this exercise for reference all three players all three of these
03:54players plus dax kirby that would make the full offer my two three kill me sorry uh two three four
04:02and five of the yankee prospects so this would be just prospects but it would be the yankees two three
04:08four if some kind of three of their top five prospects yeah i'm looking at uh mlb pipeline for
04:15the prospects rodriguez is two kilby's three lagrange is four spencer jones is six
04:22you could have a basketball team with these guys by the way they're big rodriguez the pitcher is six
04:27four uh lagrange your pitcher is six seven spencer jones is six seven and kilby is six two spencer
04:34jones is ranked higher by espn but spencer jones is with the big club correct he's with the yankees
04:38right yes um other interesting offers the brewers organization offered outfielder louise lara who's
04:47the number 91 prospect of baseball their number six organizational prospect a third baseman named
04:53andrew fisher was the first name you said uh louise lara okay number 91 uh prospect in baseball
05:00the organization's number six prospect a third baseman named andrew fisher
05:06and a right-hand pitcher named coleman crowe who was drafted in 2019
05:13is 25 years old and is still in the minors now milwaukee has an organization that's loaded
05:20this feels like a very underwhelming offer from a milwaukee team that's deep in prospects
05:28they're deep in prospects but a lot of them well a couple of them are lower levels but they've got

05:34bunch of guys that are right at triple a um interesting uh cubs offer was infielder pedro
05:43ramirez outfielder kevin alcantara and right-hand pitcher jackson wiggins we've heard this one before
05:48i think this exact offer speculated on by somebody else wiggins is number three and the other two guys
05:55are already with the team right yes um not bad not bad at all i want your take on the
06:03one that got
06:04it done which was the dodgers offer according to espn the dodgers offer of right-handed pitcher
06:13emmett sheehan outfielder zaire hope and shortstop aiden west gets it done sheehan is a good major league
06:19starter zaire hope is a top 50 prospect and aiden west is a 19 year old middle infielder who's playing
06:28in the arizona complex league so he's rookie ball and he's turning heads down there but
06:34that's a long way away this is considered the best offer put together by any beat writer
06:40to get scoobal what do you make of this offer well aiden west i don't even see on their prospect
06:48he's rookie ball he hasn't shown up yet that still could still be on the top 30 list and he's
06:55not um
06:56zaire hope is on a tear lately uh with their double a affiliate um there's a lot to like with
07:03him he's
07:04our number two overall rated prospect hitting 294 this year 879 ops he's got 13 home runs and 55 rbis
07:12and 54 games there's a lot to like um but they've got so many prospects there that it feels like

07:26about so they add this right-handed pitcher emmett shan and the comment is he would immediately slot
07:30into detroit's rotation i'm not so sure i'm not sure that either i mean is he um he

08:23their system that would appeal to you uh if they're willing to part with you know a couple of of

08:30players and they've got outfielders that are double a they've got a bunch of players at double a that
08:34just look like they're all ready to go but the problem with the dodgers in their organization is
08:39that the big league club you're blocked blocked you're blocked for years so it would make sense
08:46for the dodgers to give up some of that uh talent they have in their system and this is why

08:53says the dodgers can get it done the question is do the dodgers need to get it done i don't
08:58know if
08:58they need to but if they if they're willing to make a move then yeah we'll go with the dodgers

09:03all the talent but you know we're still so far away we're going to have scoobal on this team
09:11for like 50 something days prior to the trade deadline so he's got you know whatever that is
