00:00but let's get started with the NBA bit of a surprise last night the Spurs beat the Knicks
00:04at Madison Square Garden and certainly they looked like they deserved it they were winning
00:09for the majority of the game 115 to 111 the Spurs were one and a half road favorites and end

00:16knocking off the Knicks they had won 13 games in a row in the playoffs and now the Spurs trail

00:23in the series how did it happen Wemby had a big game he had 32 points eight rebounds six assists
00:27in three blocks but Steph Castle off the bench was huge 23-5-5 so let's hear from the head

00:33on the Spurs getting back into the potential of a seven game series which is what we're all hoping
00:39for here is Mitch Johnson I thought we made some strides in terms of the ball movement and playing
00:46with our teammates setting screens trusting the basketball would find the right guy for our shot
00:56I thought we showed better boys at times I thought we finished the game still with some things that need
01:09improvement but stronger than we did the last few games the first two games and I just thought we were
01:16in attack mode but also as a collective group and I thought it showed itself in terms of something
01:23would happen whether it's initial action or a guy trying to get to the bay and if they didn't have
01:28a clear advantage they were looking for their teammates and because we're doing that throughout
01:32the height it was much clearer for their teammates to expect where the ball was going and when it was
01:36getting it to them and then what to do with it and got to them you mentioned the stagnancy
01:40offense yeah what what do you feel like like led to that and and what do you feel like kind
01:46of didn't
01:46seem like quite as much involvement from from Carl in general there on the offense what did you feel
01:51like led to that as well uh we were just playing a a lot of drag and into what we
01:57call you know
01:59summertime which is just kind of ball movement body movement and uh we just wanted to stand and watch
02:06one guy dribble a ton and then when the ball got passed there were no quick decisions by the guy
02:13receiving the basketball you know so we we have actions we can get into that we didn't do a good

02:19of getting into first of all but it's okay because you're not going to be able to run plays all

02:24time especially with how physical they are playing defensively sometimes you just got to go by guys but
02:29you got to be smart you got to take care of the basketball you got to space right you got
02:33to move the
02:33ball you got to move bodies and and we've done that you know quite a bit we didn't do a
02:39good job
02:39of it of it tonight meanwhile as i mentioned stefan castle also big in the win is there any relief
02:46after winning a game in the series not so fast oh three hole have been a pretty deep hole to

02:51of what's the relief to get one uh i don't know i don't know if i would say relief um

03:01like we still haven't really done anything uh obviously we're still down to one and um we're
03:06looking forward to the next 48 minutes but um i mean yeah whether we won or lost this game i

03:12the series wouldn't have been over for us so uh obviously it feel good it feel good to to win
03:17especially on the road um after dropping you know two two bad ones but um i mean yeah i think
03:23our confidence has you know been the same throughout this series uh regardless of what happened so uh i mean
03:30i feel like we're just looking forward to the next 48 and on the flip side jalen brunson has a

03:35game for the knicks but just came up short they finally suffered a loss and this one was at home

03:47and there's nothing good about losing a game how do you take this feeling put it in a box and

03:55towards game four i think win or lose as a team our mindset is always getting better the next day
03:59and so um we've done we've done our best to try and learn from wins over the past couple weeks
04:06um but now we have to learn from loss but i think the most important thing is that we are
04:09going to
04:10learn regardless because we know there are things that we're going to improve on going to have to
04:14improve on going to next game so um mindset stays the same we'll see if the knicks rebound in
04:20madison square garden coming up tomorrow night but as of right now the knicks are still light
04:25favorites minus one and a half at home over the spurs the odds came out of course after the game
04:30last night total of two 16 and a half in this one again we've got another game ahead of us

04:37tomorrow night in the nba finals they'll play game four and by the way the knicks are still heavy
04:41favorites to win but not minus 500 anymore they're minus 184 to win the series and win
04:47the nba championship meanwhile last night at altitude the las vegas a's so to speak found
04:53out potentially what this team this team could be looking at when they end up playing regular season
04:58games there in a couple of years they open up a new stadium 29 runs scored at altitude yesterday
05:03felt like coors field the brewers do win as road favorites but a lot of home runs were hitting this
05:08one nick kurtz hit two tyler sodderstrom hit two shea langoliers hit one so did william contraris
05:16and so did jake bowers it felt like it was home run derby last night and that's a tough one

05:22kyle harrison who is having such a great season but naturally said it's going to be tough to pitch in
05:26that environment yes can you take anything away from tonight it's tough to say right i mean you
05:35watched that game um yeah you know i think it's just kind of flush it you move on to the
05:40next one
05:41obviously not the best stuff not the best uh locations with the stuff so um yeah just chalk it
05:48up on crappy day in vegas you know that's it no just one of those things but once something gets
05:53rolling bad right like it kind of kind of kind of all comes to fruition right so um you know

06:05on a spot like this also the yankees win on a big cody bellinger hit in the 10th inning to

06:11the yankees a seven to five win over the cleveland guardians goldschmidt also homered in this game
06:17gavin williams great starter for cleveland didn't have his best game it was okay five innings pitch
06:22three and runs five strikeouts but it took all 10 innings to get the yankees the win here's aaron boone
06:28on legging it out in the 10th it seems like you're taking an exhale after that one yeah um
06:36wasn't pretty but very gritty uh a lot of really winning things that guys did and everyone obviously
06:43involved except cruiser um but um yeah just a it's a really tough team over there and to get the
06:51lead
06:51you know have it go away and kind of hold the line enough and just a lot of winning plays
06:56there to
06:57get us to the finish line padres get a much needed win over the cincinnati reds yesterday six to two
07:03they win as home favorites they were down to one and came all the way back thanks to samad taylor
07:08he's been one of the young heroes for the padres recently in fact taylor went two for four drove in
07:14three runs rbis in the seventh and eighth here he is after the game on coming through samad when you
07:19showed up you said you wanted to be a spark plug it feels like you were every bit of that

07:24how did you have such an impact on this game just try to stay level-headed um you try to

07:31the game will speed up on you it's the big leagues everybody everybody's doing their thing i just came

08:13watching it's been a fantastic stanley cup final as of right now vegas leads the series two to one
08:18but you can see the odds in this game they are toss-up games they have all been close total
