00:00It's also some big news in the world of sports betting today. It doesn't affect everybody,
00:03by the way, but it does affect you if you live in the state of Colorado. As of right now,
00:07the governor has signed a bill that's being put into law. Legislation adding new restrictions
00:13on sports books and expanding responsible gaming measures essentially can't use credit cards to
00:18deposit anymore. That's it. So if you have a credit card like you do in a lot of other states
00:22and you just make a deposit, that's out. It has to be a debit. It has to be cash.
00:26Bettors are limited, by the way, to six deposits per gaming day. And new advertising rules are
00:31intended to prevent marketing aimed at people under 21. Also, a proposal on prop bets did not go
00:37through. That could in the future. But if you have a credit card that you use for deposits on sports
00:42betting and you're watching a company like us, that's been commonplace. But that's now out in
00:46the state of Colorado. Meanwhile, in the NBA, if you did bet the New York Knicks yesterday with a
00:51credit card or anything else, you ended up winning. They went outright 105 to 95. Jalen Brunson,
00:5630 points. But the question was, would Brunson come back in the game with an early injury? He did
01:01and ended up scoring 30 points. 13 in the fourth quarter. Wemby had 26, 12, and three. But
01:08essentially, the Spurs really struggled on offense. Couldn't get anything going in a very
01:13paltry second half of the game. Here's Mike Brown on the road win. It was a good win by our
01:18guys.
01:19Um, we, we, we, we felt we didn't play well. Uh, I'm sure San Antonio felt that they didn't play
01:27well
01:27too. Um, and obviously it's, it's good to learn from, uh, you know, especially when you didn't feel
01:34like you played well, it's good to learn from a win. Um, you know, in the first half, they kicked
01:39their mind and transition. They, they got out the way we calculated. They had 24 fast break points in the
01:45first half. In the second half, they had nine fast break points. So we did a better job of getting
01:50back. We got to get back. We got to load. We can't buddy run because, uh, they have quick athletic
01:55players. And then you've got Wemby coming and he can shoot the three or get to the rim.
02:01Was the fatigue affected tonight, coach? I mean, did you think that y'all was playing against,
02:05you know, your deep stuff against Oklahoma city and then, you know, the turnovers in the fourth
02:10quarter, how can you get that repaired? Such a quick turnaround. I don't think it was fatigue.
02:19I'm sure guys got tired at times, but I didn't feel like anybody, um,
02:25anyone's performance was based on fatigue. I think we just need to be sharper and execute better
02:30and continue to work the game and not fight it at times and play the right way.
02:34And speaking of fatigue, it was not the best game for Victor Victor Wimbayama who didn't have the game
02:40that I guess everybody would have expected, but he said no excuses, just not complicated. They
02:44didn't play well. Uh, no, of course not. I agree with the coach and, uh, I'm going to say it's
02:51the
02:52same. Every team guards differently, you know, I'm going to figure it out. It's, uh, yeah. I mean,
02:58I was bad tonight. It's not more complicated than that.
03:03All right. Now let's get to Friday night's game and take a look at the current odds as it stands.
03:08The Spurs and Knicks will go at it once again. And the odds makers have responded by saying that
03:13the Spurs are probably going to take this one because they've jumped out to a five and a half
03:17point spread. But look at that total down four points going into the weekend from where it was
03:24opening up in game one Spurs. Knicks will play play Friday night at 8 40 PM Eastern. As of right
03:30now,
03:30the Knicks have now taken over in terms of the odds to win the series. They're minus one 34 on
03:37fan
03:37duel. The Spurs are plus one 14. And certainly it does appear like a long series. But if you think
03:43the Knicks can win by a game and a half and they're up a game, you can get plus one
03:4715 on that bet.
03:49All right. Over in major league baseball, Christopher Sanchez was the pitcher of the month in May,
03:55but he gave up a month and a run in June. Finally, the Phillies do win the game. His scoreless
04:00streak
04:00ended at 50 and two thirds after giving up an RBI single to Jackson Merrill. It was one of the
04:06longest streaks in the history of major league baseball, including left-handed pitchers.
04:10Hershiser has the all-time record at 59. Don Drysdale at 58. And then there is Christopher
04:15Sanchez at 50. He did end up picking up the win, but discussed after the game, what that scoreless
04:20streak meant to him. You know, first of all, I would like to thank God, you know, for giving me
04:25the opportunity to be here and, you know, letting me do this kind of things. And, uh, you know, I,
04:29something I never imagined in my life that, that, that I would do. So, uh, you know,
04:33thanks to God again, and thanks to the word that we all put in here, uh, we, we were able
04:37to, you know, to make this record happen. So it's like, uh, you know, really grateful
04:42about it. I'm going to have a little time, you know, to embrace this, to fully acknowledge
04:46it, that it happened. Uh, because, uh, as of right now, I still can't believe that it
04:50did. I still can't believe that we're in this position. So I think that, you know, once
04:54the season's over and I'm home with my family, maybe that's when I start, you know, thinking
04:58about what, what actually happened here. I mean, uh, it felt incredible, to be honest,
05:02uh, there was so much going on in my mind, uh, at that point. But, uh, uh, as I said,
05:07I just try to stay calm and stay focused on, on what we had to do. So, uh, you know,
05:12try
05:12to stay calm and focused throughout it. And, uh, you know, it's, uh, I'll be forever grateful
05:16to this fans, uh, to the city, uh, best fans in the world, best fans, you know, in all 30
05:22teams on MLB and, uh, whether I'm here or not, they'll forever be the best fans in
05:26baseball. All right. Good night for the Phillies. Also good night for the Dodgers. What a Cy
05:30Young award race we got coming here. We got Sanchez, Mizorowski, Skeens. And then of course
05:35we have Shohei Ohtani who threw another gem, six innings pitched, no runs. And he got three
05:41hits in the game. The Dodgers win seven to nothing. Here's Dave Roberts on yet another
05:46impeccable Ohtani pitching outing. Yeah, today was really good. Today was good. Um, I thought,
05:52uh, the velocity was there when it needed to be there. Command was better. Uh, he wasn't
05:57fighting himself as much as he was in the, you know, the past few outings. Um, yeah, a lot
06:03of, some sweepers, uh, you know, used mixing the curve ball a little bit, but, uh, yeah,
06:08I thought he was in a good rhythm and it was nice that, uh, you know, with his bat too,
06:12we
06:12caught a nice lead and, you know, we're able to kind of, you know, really not threaten
06:18much. Uh, those guys weren't really, you know, didn't have much for him tonight.
06:22All right. Meanwhile, the Astros come all the way back to beat the Pirates in the
06:25eighth inning, scoring six runs. They win 11 to nine. Jordan Alvarez had four hits in
06:30the game. They trailed eight to five in the eighth. Paul Skeens gave up three runs
06:35and four and two thirds. Here he is after the game on the loss. Yeah. I mean, we can't
06:40lose this one today. Um, it stings a little bit, uh, putting up nine rounds. You should
06:46win that game every time. So, um, it doesn't feel good for me. I know it doesn't feel good
06:52for the other pitchers who threw today. Um, there are times where we'll pick up the offense.
07:00Um, there are times where, you know, we won't. And tonight was kind of one of those nights.
07:05It's, it's, it's a little unfortunate, but that's why they gave us one 62.
07:10All right. Braves beat the Blue Jays also last night, seven to three Holmes picks up the win
07:15there. Ozzie Albies and Mauricio Dubon end up hitting home runs in that game and go figure
07:21this result. The Tigers sweep the Rays in St. Petersburg. Baseball's a funny sport. Trey melt,
07:28Troy Melton ended up going eight innings and getting the win. And the shift in the clubhouse,
07:34certainly after a sweep said it was there. This series was truly incredible, especially coming
07:39off of Chicago where, you know, things look pretty bleak. If we're being honest, just with this team
07:44being in that clubhouse, how would you describe the shift that has happened just in the room alone
07:50after the series? Yeah. I mean, honestly, I don't know if there's been a huge shift. I mean,
07:54obviously we enjoy winning and it's more fun when we win. Um, but we were bringing it every day.
07:59We were prepared to play every single day. Um, obviously I haven't been here for the full stretch of it,
08:02but from the time I've been here, it really hasn't been all that, all that different. So, um,
08:07it's obviously really good to get the results and we're playing some good baseball, obviously
08:10his last three games and hopefully it keeps rolling. Stanley cup playoff chase continuing to,
08:15uh, tonight. Yes, that's right. 815 Eastern. You never know when I'm going to get that wrong.
08:20Carolina plays Vegas minus one 64 is Carolina. If they win, they tie up the series.
