00:00Hello there my very good friends, on today's wrestling news we have potential spoilers and match results for Clash in
00:06Italy.
00:06You will never guess who was pitched to appear at Clash in Italy.
00:10Rhea Ripley opens up on a backstage panic attack last year.
00:14And former WWE wrestler Curtis Axel has been arrested.
00:17I'm Adam Wilbourn.
00:18And I'm Andy H Murray. The H today stands for Happy Moral Lord's Day to those who doom.
00:22Big doomsman over here, loves a bit of St Vitus.
00:25Just vibing in the car.
00:26A bit of warning.
00:26Yeah, all that. Hit replay on that if anything.
00:30What's your favourite Black Sabbath album?
00:32First one.
00:33Self-titled?
00:34Yeah.
00:34Good choice. Connoisseur.
00:36This is the news.
00:38Alright, let's kick this one off by talking some potential spoilers for Clash in Italy.
00:42So if you're trying to avoid those, I mean we did put the word spoilers in the video,
00:46but if you're trying to avoid those, the timestamps are down below as always.
00:50You know what to do. We won't hold it against you.
00:52No.
00:52Don't worry, don't worry.
00:54This is from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
00:56And they've come through with three different match results.
01:00Okay.
01:01They come from people who have knowledge of upcoming creative in WWE.
01:08And they are considered the favourites at the moment.
01:10Now it's wrestling, so it comes from the little asterisk.
01:13That's an air asterisk, by the way.
01:14I always find it when they do, like, odds on the rumble.
01:17I'm like, what? It's predetermined, but anyway.
01:19There's 30 people.
01:20Yeah, it could be anyone.
01:21But they haven't done odds, just the favourites amongst creatives on this one.
01:25Three matches, three of the bigger matches on the show.
01:28The first one is they've got Roman Reigns as the favourite over Jacob Fatu.
01:31Makes sense.
01:31Tribal combat.
01:32That means Jacob would enter a period of acknowledgement in the Tribal Chief OT1.
01:38One OTC original Tribal Chief.
01:43The big dog.
01:44I don't know.
01:45Rhea Ripley is a favourite to go over.
01:47Jade Cargill and Brock Lesnar.
01:51Probably the most contentious one on here.
01:54Now, we have a predictions video coming out later today.
01:57Yes.
01:58So, I'm not going to tell you who I think is going to win, or what I think of these,
02:02because
02:02you will need to check into the predictions video later.
02:05Indeed.
02:05Check that out.
02:06That'll be going out in the evening slot.
02:08But there you go.
02:09There's no word on Becky Lynch versus Saul Ruka, or Cody Rhodes versus...
02:14Gunther.
02:14Gunther.
02:15How do you forget that?
02:16It's a big one, that.
02:17I think, we were saying this on the predictions, not to spoil it too much, but I'd say that's
02:21easily the most unpredictable match on the card.
02:23Yeah.
02:24Because you'd assume, early on, most Cody title defences to be straightforward, but this
02:27is Gunther that they're doing.
02:29But yeah, I think, without giving too much away, the results you talked about there seem
02:34to be the general consensus of how most people, as far as I've spoken to, think that's going
02:39to go.
02:39But, as you say, plans can change.
02:42Yeah, exactly.
02:42Exactly.
02:43I hope they do with Brock Lesnar.
02:44So, this one...
02:45Yeah, there is one match in there that we particularly think is diabolical, so you can check that out
02:51later on.
02:51But, Triple H has been Triple H-ing, obviously.
02:54He's a promoter.
02:55He has to say these things ahead of the show.
02:57He said, we're a few days out from Turin, and if I can give one message to the fans,
03:01believe me, this will mean as much to us and the WWE superstars as it does to each and every
03:07one of you.
03:08We cannot wait to get there.
03:09New era, is it?
03:10It's not a new era.
03:12It's not a new era has begun in the land of WWE.
03:16But, look, he's a promoter.
03:17He's got to talk these things up.
03:18It's like, people get mad at Tony Khan when he does it too.
03:20They're promoters, man.
03:21Exactly.
03:21Do you want them to go, no, this show is going to be ass.
03:24Yeah.
03:24We've just got to get this stupid show in Europe, by the way, and then we've got to
03:27get our payday in Saudi Arabia.
03:29European, these Italians with their culture and their delicious food and their tremendous
03:34sense of style.
03:35We find it weird just seeing videos.
03:36They were in Liverpool, weren't they, the other day, WWE.
03:39It's strange, like, oh, what are you doing there?
03:43That's where we are.
03:44It's when they're in Aberdeen that freaks me out.
03:45Yeah.
03:46It used to be, for some reason, when they used to do house shows in Aberdeen, sometimes
03:49they would do, like, they would do meet and greets in, like, a spar.
03:53Yeah.
03:54In, like, not the best area of town, and it's, like, a spar.
04:00Yeah.
04:01I mean, I kind of like that to be, bringing it back to the people.
04:03Oh, yeah.
04:03But, yeah.
04:04Yeah, it's strange, because, obviously, yeah, when we're over in the States for mania
04:07and stuff, it's always like, come to this huge Las Vegas hotel, and we'll do this big
04:11meet and greet.
04:12And then when they're over here in Blighty, it's like, weatherspoons this Saturday.
04:17Come on down to B&Q.
04:19Yeah.
04:19And you can meet.
04:20Get yourself a free bucket with your meet and greet.
04:23Never turn down a free bucket.
04:25Greg's shoot a couple of them.
04:26Oh, yeah.
04:27See the Greg's in Tenerife now.
04:29Is there?
04:29There is.
04:30I think it's at the airport, but still, that's pretty cool.
04:33Well, fair play to them.
04:34That's pretty cool.
04:35We came home from Mallorca a couple of years ago, went to the airport.
04:39I would have killed for a Greg's.
04:40Because the queue for the breakfast places was out the door.
04:42So we, like, balanced, normal, healthy people had Popeye's chicken at 9am.
04:47Nice.
04:48Nice.
04:48You know what else is there?
04:49My lunch yesterday was just four sausage rolls.
04:51Good.
04:52I mean, I'm built by sausage roll, you can tell.
04:55I had to have a sit down.
04:57Yeah.
04:57I struggled through the afternoon.
04:59Never beating the big boy allegations.
05:00Exactly.
05:01Speaking of things you will never beat, how about this deal from Norton VPN?
05:05What a Segway.
05:06Right.
05:06Right now, we've got a tremendous deal with our partners here.
05:09So, not only will you secure your online presence and lock down your internet security, but
05:13if you are traveling the world, say you are a Brit and you are in the USA right now, but
05:18you technically want to be in the UK so that you can watch Clash in Italy on your Netflix
05:21subscription, you can do that with the click of a button through Norton VPN.
05:25And you can do that for just £2.50 a month or $3.33 a month in the US.
05:30This is 54% off.
05:32The link is in the description.
05:33You should sign up now.
05:35There's been a QR code floating around, probably right here in the middle of us.
05:38Mm-hmm.
05:39Guys, it's big 26.
05:41Come on.
05:41Lock it down.
05:43I can't cut my fingers very well, but yeah.
05:45But I might be using Norton VPN because I'm off to Turin this weekend for Clash in Italy.
05:51How else will you keep up with Loose Woman?
05:55Yeah.
05:55Saturday Kitchen.
05:56Yeah, whatever the game shows that they have on Saturday nights are.
05:59This is a millionaire.
06:02What's it called?
06:04Who wants to be a millionaire?
06:05That's right.
06:06That's the one.
06:07Clarkson presents that now.
06:08Anyway.
06:09Oh, no.
06:09Apparently.
06:10I don't know.
06:11They've tried to jazz it up.
06:12I don't care.
06:13Anyway, yeah.
06:13Clash in Italy this weekend, as you mentioned, Andy.
06:15And a really interesting report here from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select on a legend
06:19that was pitched to appear on the show.
06:22An Italian legend.
06:23In my opinion, the best wrestler of Italian heritage ever.
06:26Out the way, Bruno Sammartino.
06:28It's all about Santino Vanella for me.
06:31And yes, he was apparently pitched to have some sort of involvement in Clash in Italy by
06:36WWE creative.
06:37Obviously, he's currently in TNA and is infamous for first joining WWE when they're in Italy.
06:43We actually watched that in the office the other day where he faces Umanga for the IC title with Bobby
06:50Lashley's help.
06:51He wins the thing.
06:52Yes, sir.
06:53Um, but yes, no word on if this pitch has actually gone anywhere.
06:57I will say, I know from personal experience that Santino is definitely in Turin this weekend.
07:02Yes.
07:02It better be.
07:03Because we've got a Sweet Chin Disco, not just on the Sunday night, but on the Monday night.
07:07Monday night, there's still tickets available actually on our socials.
07:09Go and check that out, Sweet Chin Disco.
07:11Yeah, we're doing the old after party after Clash in Italy.
07:15And yeah, hanging out with Santino for a couple of days.
07:18I'm looking forward to that.
07:19I think he, like, with people like Dan Housen and Joe on the show, presumably.
07:24Yeah.
07:24You know, around WWE.
07:25I mean, it makes sense to have a personality like Santino involved in all this.
07:29Him and Dan Housen are going to team up and do something diabolical.
07:31Yeah.
07:32Yeah.
07:32You got to watch out for that Cobra over the weekend, you know.
07:36You never know when it's going to strike.
07:37I'm so excited.
07:38As a private number tries to interrupt my news shoot.
07:41What are you doing here, Chief?
07:43Yeah, cool.
07:44I mean, why not?
07:45Why not?
07:45Like, obviously, there's the TNA working relationship in place.
07:48Yeah.
07:49It's in Italy.
07:50He was an Italian.
07:52His identity, his on-screen identity has been Italian since day one.
07:56Let's roll.
07:57Why not?
07:57Why wouldn't you do it?
07:58Santino, he's fun.
07:59Who doesn't like Santino?
08:00Yeah, exactly.
08:01Well.
08:02Silly people.
08:03Jim Cornette.
08:04Jim Cornette, yeah.
08:05Well.
08:06If you don't sell for the Boogeyman.
08:07Yeah.
08:09That was the reason, wasn't it?
08:10I can't remember.
08:11Or the Boogey-Woogey man.
08:13Indeed.
08:13Jimmy Valiant.
08:15When was the last time you referenced Jimmy Valiant on the wrestling video?
08:18It's been a long time.
08:19It's been a long time.
08:19Probably 1985.
08:20Been a while.
08:21Been a while.
08:22Anyway.
08:23Yeah, cool.
08:23No, I'd like to see Santino on the show.
08:25Why not?
08:26Why not?
08:26Just, it'd be fun.
08:28Do a silly comedy skit.
08:30Exactly.
08:30But yeah, something backstage with Dan Houser makes all the sense in the world.
08:33With Paul Walterhausen.
08:35There you go.
08:36They should team up.
08:37They got the word house in their names.
08:38Yeah.
08:39What more do you want?
08:40Really.
08:41Right.
08:42Let's talk about Rhea Ripley.
08:43She's done.
08:44Wow.
08:44Really open and honest interview.
08:48She was on Stephanie McMahon's show.
08:50What's your story?
08:51And she's kind of opened up on this backstage story, which sounds kind of, I mean, it sounds
08:57really rough to be honest.
08:58She's spoken about how when they were in Australia last year, she full on had a backstage panic
09:03attack and it led to some pretty big changes for her.
09:06So I'm going to read you the whole thing.
09:08There's quite a lot here, right?
09:09But I think context is important.
09:10Absolutely.
09:11It's a fascinating story.
09:12Yeah.
09:13I don't want to chop her story to pieces here because it's hers.
09:16But she said, it was like for a while.
09:17It was like that for a while.
09:18I just couldn't charge that battery because I was going home and that person was around.
09:23She's talking about someone she was unable to say no to basically.
09:27Not a good person in her life by the sounds of things.
09:30I just couldn't.
09:31It was just a dark place.
09:32The toughest time for me hits when we were in Australia.
09:35So I had that on my mind.
09:37I had the people pleaser in me trying to see everyone at home.
09:40I had me trying to please everyone in Australia because I felt like the face of Australia in WWE.
09:45That's a lot of pressure.
09:46So I was like, I take full responsibility for everything that's happening here.
09:49I take responsibility for how I perform.
09:51I take responsibility for how these fans treat my peers.
09:54I took responsibility far too much.
09:56Far too much, sorry.
09:57And I just wanted to make sure that everyone was happy.
09:59And I was just at such a really low point.
10:02We had three shows.
10:03I had SmackDown.
10:04Then we had Crown Jewel.
10:05Then we had Raw.
10:06By the time Raw was done, I collapsed in catering.
10:09It was bad.
10:10I had a full on panic attack.
10:12I hadn't eaten.
10:13I hadn't drank water.
10:14My body was shutting down.
10:15And I was probably the skinniest I have ever been.
10:17And I was just dying.
10:19And then that person kept lingering around, just making it worse.
10:22My panic attacks were just getting worse.
10:24And I was like, I can't do this.
10:26There was some light at the end of this tunnel, fortunately.
10:28After that trip, I made sure to start putting myself first and chopping people out completely.
10:33I pretty much was like, we're done here.
10:35I can't give you any more of me.
10:37We're done.
10:38Don't ever message me again.
10:39Don't think that we have a friendship.
10:41Get the F out of my life.
10:43That was my breaking point.
10:45It felt really, really nice.
10:46That was a big lesson for me in the past year.
10:48So, there's a lot of stuff going on there, obviously, when it comes to dealing with toxic
10:55people who are no good for you in life and stuff like that.
10:58And I think it's, I'm always quite glad when people feel, I don't know if brave is the
11:04word, but they're comfortable enough to share their stories with stuff like this.
11:08Because, man, if you are going through similar things to what Rhea Ripley is describing here,
11:14it's going to resonate with you.
11:15And maybe it's something that you haven't spoken about before.
11:17You hear somebody that you look up to or somebody who's just a big public name or whatever.
11:22Speaking about these things, it makes you feel seen.
11:24And it maybe raises the confidence within you to share these things yourself, either
11:28with friends or family or professionally, maybe with like a doctor or a therapist or someone.
11:33And that can really make a big, big difference in your life.
11:35So, I always really, I like hearing stories like this.
11:38Not from, obviously, I don't like hearing the people who've gone through hard times.
11:42Yeah.
11:42But like, I think it's very important and it's very, very productive for these things to be
11:47disseminated in public where the person feels comfortable for it.
11:50I hate that we have people like the president of the UFC, you know, openly bashing mental health discussions and
11:56stuff publicly.
11:57But good on Rhea Ripley.
11:59I think, like, she's sharing this story.
12:02She's probably not from the standpoint of, hello, I'm going to help a bunch of people, right?
12:07But it will.
12:07Yeah.
12:08So, good for her.
12:09And I hope that whatever happened here is now behind her.
12:13Yeah, like a learning experience.
12:15Yeah, just to echo what you said there.
12:17It's very weird to listen to someone talk about having a panic attack and collapsing backstage
12:20and then say, I love that story.
12:22But I do.
12:23Love that she shared it.
12:24The exact reason, yeah.
12:25I think it's one of those things where, you know, the people that you look up to, celebrities,
12:30people like that, you assume, well, life must be pretty rosy for them.
12:34They haven't got the problems that I've had.
12:35But, yeah, these sort of things, anxiety, et cetera, can affect everybody.
12:39Absolutely.
12:40And, yeah, and I think the best part about this is not only is it, you know, providing
12:46that case study that this can happen to almost anybody and it is normal.
12:50Yeah.
12:50Like, if you're going through it, it's absolutely normal to have these feelings.
12:54But like you say, to have that and here's a way, not necessarily the way, but a way of
13:00getting out of it or at least improving your life subsequent to all this.
13:04I think it's fantastic and I think she deserves more credit for someone who, yeah, on the
13:08outside just looks like she's just got everything under control.
13:12That's it.
13:12That's it.
13:13Fair play to her.
13:14Yeah, that's always the thing.
13:15It's like, when it's somebody, like, Rhea Ripley looks like a superhero on TV.
13:20Yeah.
13:20She feels like she's 20 feet tall, incredible presence.
13:23She's an absolute superstar.
13:24Been loved by everyone.
13:26But it's always the case, like, everybody is susceptible to these things and I really do
13:32think it's very healthy and very positive for people to share their experiences as much
13:39as they feel comfortable doing so.
13:41So, and I do think that Rhea Ripley will help encourage other people who are in those
13:45situations.
13:45So, good for her.
13:47And yeah, hope she's on the mend.
13:49And if it's not affecting you, but one of your mates just doesn't seem quite right, just
13:53be there.
13:53Yeah, absolutely.
13:55Is everything alright?
13:55You know, I'm always here if you want to chat because I think it's not about necessarily
13:58forcing it out of someone, but being just available when they need that.
14:02Be there.
14:03Be there for you people, man.
14:04Gotta do it.
14:04Our final story today relates to former WWE wrestler Curtis Axel, aka, of course, Joseph
14:10Hennig.
14:11This was all over socials yesterday, of course.
14:13Yeah.
14:14Several charges related to an incident that took place at McDonald's drive-thru in Minnesota.
14:18Axel was arrested even in Anoka County on charges of DWI, refusing to submit to chemical
14:25tests and failing to stop for an accident.
14:28Charges also include obstructing the legal process, having an open bottle of alcohol
14:32in his car, and disorderly conduct.
14:34He was subsequently released from jail on May 19th.
14:39Yeah, the story goes according to the arrest report obtained by The Watch Minnesota.
14:44Police were dispatched to McDonald's in St. Francis shortly before 9pm due to property
14:48damage crash where a vehicle backed into another in the drive-thru.
14:53Axel was in the parking lot.
14:54They claim he smelled strongly of alcohol, had bloodshot and watery eyes, and was slurring
14:58his speech.
14:59And an open bottle of vodka was found in the car.
15:02And then subsequently he was removed from the vehicle.
15:06And there was a bit of an incident with authorities with swearing and slurs and stuff being thrown
15:12around.
15:12Horrible stuff.
15:13Yeah, never nice to hear these sorts of reports whatsoever.
15:17And I suppose the only thing we can really say is we'll keep updated as the case develops.
15:22Yeah, for sure.
15:23I feel like Guy's clearly in a bad place.
15:28It was quite disheartening when his mugshot started doing the rounds to see some of the
15:32reactions to that.
15:33It's basically from a very, very big wrestling affiliated account that you may have seen.
15:39I'm not going to put the mugshot or anything in the edit or the video today.
15:43I hope that if he's used slurs or whatever, right, I hope that nobody was hurt by his use
15:49of those words, if that makes sense.
15:50Obviously that's bad and you shouldn't use those words.
15:55But like, sounds like he's in a really crap place and things maybe have a hold of him.
16:00And I hope that he gets the help he probably needs by the sounds of his report.
16:05Yeah, this isn't excusing his conduct.
16:08No, not at all.
16:08He should never get behind the wheel of a car, having drunk anything in my opinion.
16:12But, like you say, this isn't also the time to just tut and roll your eyes and say,
16:17oh, this is outrageous, he's clearly in a bad place, right?
16:21Yeah, clearly needs a bit of a helping hand, right?
16:23By the sounds of this report, if this report is truly what happened.
16:27It's never nice to hear this about ex-wrestlers.
16:30No, no, absolutely not.
16:31So I hope that whatever we hear about Joe next is more positive news
16:36and that he moves towards a better future in situations like this.
16:41But we're going to wrap this one up here.
16:42We'll be back a bit later on with some more news.
16:45Until then, take it easy and look after yourself.
16:49Bye.
16:49See you soon.
