00:06:18So the atmosphere was good, but it was more the, like, massive humanity more than the actual.

00:13:03Well, two type matches, Rhea and Jay, which we'll get to.
00:13:05But let's start with Cody and Gunther for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
00:13:09Because I just said, had this been later on in the card, I think this is the toughest one to
00:13:14call.
00:13:14I agree. I think they have somewhat uncharacteristically carried Cody's run through WrestleMania.
00:13:22I think a lot of us were predicting Randy Orton would win.
00:13:24WrestleMania often feels like a neat stopping point for a title reign.
00:13:28But what's actually happened is they did that with CM Punk and Cody's has been able to continue.
00:13:33It was weird, wasn't it, in the aftermath of WrestleMania, how Cody Rhodes, without a Randy Orton, sort of felt
00:13:42as if for the WWE champion to not have a plan B was indicative of where WWE's at, isn't it?
00:13:49Randy Orton had gotten injured.
00:13:50There was all those rumours that it was going to be Orton and Pat McAfee versus Jelly Roll and Cody.
00:13:55But Jelly Roll and Pat McAfee both said, what are you doing?
00:13:57And then Orton getting injured seemingly got everybody out of trouble.
00:14:00But then Cody was sort of a man on an island for a bit, wasn't he?
00:14:04He was just doing TV stuff, really.
00:14:06He kind of had his interaction with Ricky Saints and he was having like one-off matches, which is fine.
00:14:10But it was odd that your WWE champion couldn't have been given like a secondary programme.
00:14:17So it was when Gunther got the favour off Paul Heyman and got this, it was hard to shake off
00:14:22that this wasn't all a bit ramshackle and it all wasn't a bit rushed.
00:14:25And because you think, well, the planning was rushed, you don't then think they would commit to putting the belt
00:14:30on Gunther?
00:14:31That's at least how my brain works.
00:14:32You sort of apply Occam's razor here where like the most obvious thing is the answer.
00:14:37Gunther wasn't the plan right now, but here we are.
00:14:40So you can't put the belt on him because he would have been fighting, what, LA Knight otherwise?
00:14:44Yeah, I think that was the general consensus.
00:14:46That argument makes me think as well, though, that they could put the belt on Gunther because I think they
00:14:51went in going, right, well, Cody drops the belt to Randy.
00:14:54So I've almost thought, right, what's Cody do without the belt?
00:14:57Here's a thought.
00:15:00When Cody was filming Street Fighter, they took the belt off him, didn't they?
00:15:04I think so.
00:15:05I think that's how the dates lined up.
00:15:07Could that be the case for the promotion for the film?

00:15:26Because then it's like, what if we would also have you on the press tour or in WWE belt?
00:15:33And they say, oh, he's not here because he is doing off doing this, but he'll, you know, Cody, he'd
00:15:38fly 24 hours to do a 10 minute backstage segment.
00:15:41That's true. Yeah, he's the top guy in every respect in that.
00:15:45Like, what about then, seeing as we're not previewing SmackDown and this allows us to kind of talk about the
00:15:48big story of note, at least on that show, what about if there's some involvement from Sami Zayn, but it
00:15:53actually favours, like inadvertently favours Cody?
00:15:57Like, something happens on SmackDown tonight where Sami Zayn is made to, you know, answer what he did last week.
00:16:03Of course, yeah. We haven't had a chance to talk about that because of the bank holiday. He just watched
00:16:05as Gunther choked out Cody last week.
00:16:07So that's, like, in all of our minds, as good as confirming what we already knew, which is that he's
00:16:12a heel. This week, he might be asked to explain his actions, but he probably won't. He'll probably try and
00:16:16keep it vague or he'll try and justify.
00:16:17No, no, it's just, like, doing what Cody would do, like, taking advantage of a situation or, like, let, like,
00:16:24he's my friend and he let me suffer, so...
00:16:26Let your friends fight their own battles, if anything.
00:16:28All that kind of stuff.
00:16:29But then...
00:16:30I wonder if Sami gets involved in this.
00:16:31That's what I'm saying. Does he get involved and does he, like, botch his interference slightly and actually help Cody

00:16:37And then after the fact...

00:16:39After the fact, he kind of says, like, I was there for you, wasn't I, Cody? And he's like, Sami,

00:16:47Yeah, yeah. Like, I know who you were aiming for with that halluva kick, but, you know, yeah, you hit
00:16:51Gunther and, yes, I took advantage, but I know what you were actually trying to do.
00:16:55And then Gunther's on, like, a separate warpath for Sami Zayn and just, like, he's literally nobody's friend at this
00:17:00point.
00:17:00You kind of, like, buy a friend and he's still addressing his ride-or-die fans, but at this point,
00:17:05they're all die.
00:17:06And that's kind of...
00:17:07Because Sami, you could spin off Gunther into Sami temporarily on this idea that Sami sort of had his number
00:17:14in the past.
00:17:15You know, like, beat him at a WrestleMania, has hit him with a halluva kick, let's say.
00:17:18Are they booking Sami in Saudi now?
00:17:22Because he's...
00:17:24To be totally honest, I think that ship has sailed in terms of worrying about it.
00:17:29But he's not going to be on the Night of Champions card.
00:17:31No, he could be, but he lost to Drew McIntyre as a babyface and it was just sort of fine.

00:17:35Yeah, that's a good point.
00:17:36I'm assuming it's like, you know, everyone throwing their babies in the air and it's not necessarily quite the same.

00:17:45Or he could get his title match against Cody and they could just do a one-night flip where they
00:17:50allow Sami to work the babyface and allow Cody to be a bit of a situational heel.
