00:23what what what a news story to find out about the president the sitting president of the united
00:30states that decided you know what i want a piece of that tko pie uh but we're going to get
00:34onto that
00:35one in just a little bit we're going to kick things off though just now with some backstage
00:38news and reaction to darby allen's recent title reign in aw obviously he had a very short title reign
00:46but a very impactful one it really was it was i think the way and we'll talk about it as
00:52well but
00:52i think the way they sort of planned around darby allen being champion was perfect for him and his
00:57character um a report from frightful select though gave some insight into the backstage reaction to
01:02darby allen's recent aw world title run uh when the world world title run was initially pitched back in
01:08april fightful revealed that there were some skeptics within aw however in following up with those people
01:14after the rain multiple people backstage in aw told fight for slate that they had changed their minds
01:19about it with many applauding darby allen for going in quotes going the extra mile to make the
01:24championship reign special which i think is absolutely what he did oh i'm not surprised that
01:29any skeptics have changed their mind on that one because the man decided i mean the man always goes
01:34out there and tries to break his body but he did that with the title and he really showed how
01:39much
01:39this title means to him how much that um the title should be respected it's not about going out there
01:45and just expecting to be champion you have to earn that every time you go in the ring and i
01:49think
01:49he made that point really really well throughout his matches i mean every single show it was it almost
01:55almost was every single show between between the pay-per-views or between the dynamite he won it
01:59and double or nothing absolutely he was in that ring getting absolutely battered
02:05every single night um he particularly received praise for his in-ring work during his brief run
02:10at the top and additionally sources uh spiteful spoke to believe that mjf has been very supportive
02:16of darby allen having a run with the title dating back quite a while now i saw mjf responded to
02:21that
02:21report on twitter and in in classic mjf fashion he said it was fake news he said it was fake
02:28he was on the
02:30ariel helwani show basically saying the same thing as well he's um he's a he's a very deep down that
02:37mjf
02:37guy he's a very he's a very sweet man um yeah yeah i think it was one of those things

02:43where for the longest time like just before i think darby clowned my mount everest we were like okay it
02:50looks like he's in for a shot he's gonna dethrone john moxley maybe bring a bring an end to this
02:55death
02:56riders thing and then this new age of of talent a new age of talent should i say younger the

03:01younger sort of you know hungry ones the hungry ones building up the cards that was it it was like
03:06that was going to be where it went and then it didn't go that way uh we were all just
03:10like okay
03:11darby's time has passed and then when it eventually happened and it kind of came out of nowhere yeah it
03:17was i guess the big question was well how is this going to like live up and feel like the
03:24moment that
03:24felt like it had already passed it should have sort of yeah how do we sort of capitalize on that
03:29and make it feel like something really special and i think for darby's character to defend it
03:35week in week out sometimes times a week yeah exactly dynamite and collision sometimes too
03:41and for them to play into that story of he's starting to you feel the wear and tear he's getting
03:47tired you can see it he's like collapsing in matches i think the way that they played it off for
03:52derby and i don't think it'll be his only world title reign at all i think after this he's really
03:56proved that he can he can go uh and and carry the the company and the championship on his shoulder
04:03and
04:03everything um i just think yeah they they played to darby's strengths perfectly they completely did
04:10like everything about that even the length because of how much he was defending it it felt very very long
04:15it felt very like hey here is what we've been building to and even as and i agree with you
04:20completely he he felt not cold but like he was much colder than he would have been if they'd done
04:27the switch a year a year ago maybe even like around all in when it and everyone expected it to
04:32happen
04:33but the man is now main event in a pay-per-view that has one of the biggest buy rates
04:38for aw according
04:39to the wrestling observer newsletter it's it's got one of the biggest second market buy-ins for an aw
04:45show i think it was 100 160 dollars to get in on the secondary market and it's sold out so
04:50he's proven
04:52in five four weeks five weeks that he is a draw uh so is mjf yeah and uh i i'm
04:59very excited to see
05:00what they do i don't think it will be uh this year he gets to hold that belt again yeah

05:05it will be uh hey we have got a very quick program darby you're going back in there yeah um

05:13it's it'd be a smart call at any point really uh to have him in there i'd love to see

05:25down over like a year you know like how that'd be really fascinating his body going to last i think
05:32that yeah that would be a great story to tell actually i think and and does he have to resort

06:04uh donald trump has invested in tko now a huffington post review of donald trump's financial disclosures
06:10has revealed that the president purchased between fifteen thousand and one dollar and fifty thousand
06:16dollars of stock in tk group holdings on march 25th the parent company of wwe and ufc now this comes
06:24at
06:24a time where ufc and wwe is very very closely linked to the white house to the presidency uh we've
06:31got linda mcmahon very close to the president obviously she's no longer within the company but she's
06:36got very strong ties to the company um we've seen triple h in the white house we've seen him standing
06:41next to donald trump uh there was a rumor for a while that donald trump might be attending
06:44wrestlemania obviously he didn't at that point but in the coming weeks june 14th we will have
06:50ufc freedom 250 on the south lawn of the white house which feels very dystopian feels very dystopian
06:57in my opinion um wd stars are advertised to appear at the event they're advertised to appear at the fan
07:04event around it so this is just another step of the presidency and donald trump in particular getting
07:10closer to wwe and tko we don't quite know what this looks like in terms of uh how much worth
07:18how much
07:19that stock is worth obviously this tko is a lot of money in their in their investments um but it's
07:24just concerning for the president to be able to uh no matter what side of the aisle you fit you
07:29lie on
07:29it's concerning that the president of the the free world president of the biggest country on earth
07:34uh can invest in a company uh like that so we're moving on um stephanie vicar could be returning sooner
07:43isn't that right andrew it is yes pw insider saying um that there have been pitches for her to appear
07:49on this coming week's row however she's not currently expected to travel to italy i am so excited to have
07:56stephanie vicar back we've been waiting for obviously going into wrestlemania we had the whole thing a lot
08:02of the matches sort of night one at least anyway were very short uh and then reports came out that
08:07well
08:07both women were a little bit banged up live morgan and stephanie vicar going into that match they
08:11wanted to make sure that everybody came out all right and healthy and um it was just after all
08:18the build that these two had had going into that match especially at the grandest stage of them all
08:22we're expecting something maybe that went on a little bit a little bit longer uh and i think
08:28once stephanie comes back that's the match that i think we as fans are excited to see and also i'm
08:34sure
08:35that stephanie and and live want to to really like live up to the to how i really enjoyed the
08:41build i
08:41think after a while it did just sort of descend into battering one of one or the other on the
08:47ramp
08:47but yeah or backstage obviously right your eyes getting battered here you're not gonna you're not
08:53gonna get it work tonight but i think i i think the work that that those two did together and
08:58the chemistry
08:58that they have as well is fantastic so to see that finally play out in a way that i'm sure
09:05they both
09:05they want and then we want as fans is uh is something i'm buzzing for yeah i mean hopefully
09:10it's very soon the fact that she's not traveling to italy i think we can kind of rule out this
09:14monday
09:15unless they come up with some secret plan to fly her into a different place and then they travel to
09:20to turin um which you know she could fly to nice get the train it's not far yeah not far
09:25yeah it's not too far
09:26it's about an hour 45 two hours you get to go along the french riviera i'm sure she'll do that
09:32um so i don't expect her to appear on this week's rock based on that report from pw insider but
09:37when
09:37they're back in the states it's got to be time it's got to be time that she's back um the
09:42big question
09:43i have over her return though is does she get straight inserted back into that women's title
09:48picture or does live go no you've got to earn your shot going to queen of the ring queen of
09:53the ring
09:54that's a fantastic shout i was i didn't even think about that you know but i would oh it would

10:01it would be good but then at the same time fraser i always like a new i was like a
10:06new name when in
10:07that yeah i'd love to see like a roxanne perez or something go on to do it and oh the

10:12because obviously lives holding the world title there so what could happen yeah i love stuff like
10:19that to play out and i know it's tried tried and tested and everything within wrestling but i enjoy
10:26the truth sometimes i completely agree with you i think as much as uh if she's getting involved i
10:32think yeah you insert her with live straight away but it does feel like a summer slam match
10:37because wwe likes to repeat the wrestlemania matches as summer slams gets is two nights yeah they need to
10:43have those big marquee ones and hopefully they'll get more than six minutes um which was the entire
10:48length of like roman reigns's entrance at wrestlemania uh they they really need to have a few more minutes
10:54i understand the reasons behind that but yeah hopefully whenever they get back in the ring whether
10:58that is uh king queen of the ring whether that is do we have one in the middle between king
11:03queen of
11:03the ring money in the bank that's been moved to september um i can't remember if we've got another show

11:12i'm jumping over to tna just now though um this is a unsurprising story but also very lol tna in
11:20my
11:20mind um so leon slater lost the tna x division championship uh not that long ago to cedric alexander
11:28it was on the day that he matched the longest reigning record for the x division championship that
11:33is currently held by austin aries uh i think he's had that title reign the record for
11:39many many years dating back probably over a decade yeah leon was about to break it if he'd held the
11:46title one more day and he lost the belt oh according to the wrestling observer the belief is that the
11:52title change happened and the the title was taken off leon because he's leaving the company to join
11:58either wwe or aew once his contract expires now leon slater joined tna in october of 2023 and it is
12:06believed that his current contract will expire in the latter half of this year this lol tna aspect of
12:12hey you could have got rid of austin aries from your record book and put it on leon slater someone
12:18who
12:18is although he's not a homegrown talent because of how much he did in the uk independent scene but he's
12:26a tna kid yeah he's a tna guy yeah no matter where you go next he will always be known
12:33as the guy that
12:34came up in tna and you've not given him this record because he might be leaving to go to wwe
12:42or aw now
12:43what this tells me is they're not 100 sure he's going to wwe oh because if he was going to
12:50wwe
12:51they would have given him that record in my opinion so that wwe could go the longest reigning tna
12:57x division champion of all time the youngest tna x division champion of all time and he's joining our
13:02company giving tna a little bit of a boost i i think there is a little bit of don't want
13:07to say
13:08worry or concern within tna but i think there's a little thought that he may be interested in aw i
13:15didn't even think of it that way you know but then sort of the more i think about it i
13:19feel like these tna
13:21and wwe the the ties there are a little thinner than what they were at least at the start of
13:27the
13:27year so i don't know how much that would have really factored into them saying these things and and this
13:34that and the other but wrestling style and the way that leon presents himself i feel like
13:45also suits aw at the same time i mean obviously i feel like someone like
13:51aj styles within wwe who's helping scout out these talents surely leon slater in his mind
13:57is we have to get this guy because he the age that he's at and how good he is and
14:03what he's done
14:03already within his career in such a short space of time at such a young age is incredible and we
14:11need
14:11to keep this guy so i'm sure there's people there must be people within both companies right now
14:17fighting to have him within their rosters because he has such insane upside and it's just pure talent
14:26when when when the time comes for the two sides to start playing off money wise hopefully he's offered
14:35some some really big money because he deserves it so much as well i think the money aspect is certainly
14:41something that he's probably considered is if he says and is working under the assumption i'm going to wwe
14:48he's just accepting whatever they're going to offer if he doesn't at least consider aw which would
14:56in the past offered a large money deals to people to stop them going from wwe or going to wwe
15:02i think leon is in a surefire spot of going and looking at the talent that's there and going
15:07maybe i do want that dream match with ricochet yeah maybe maybe i've looked at how kevin knight
15:12turned down a wwe performance center contract and is now one of their top up and coming guys yeah
15:19uh you look at kyle fletcher who leon just missed on the uk scene never got those matches and is
15:25now
15:26being pushed as one of the top guys in the company i think there's a very compelling argument that leon
15:30is
15:30maybe going well i'm still young i could be i could be over there and and making some serious money
15:36while also being able to wrestle the style that i want to wrestle my concern if he signs with wwe
15:42not
15:42that i think the company would use him very very well is him and javon wrestle a very similar style
15:48yeah and javon is getting a push but i worry that then they'd go right you're a tag team and
15:54that's all
15:54you're doing and they are looking to bolster the tag team division at the moment too that's what i was
15:59thinking as well just being worried that they would just and that's not a bad tag team to have
16:05in your division absolutely not but i feel like maybe the ceiling is you got a higher ceiling maybe
16:13in aw than you do in wwe currently at least anyway currently at least anyway i feel like you're you're
16:20i feel like you're right in what you've said previously with people like kevin knight with um
16:24kyle fletcher and everybody like that who maybe to begin with didn't necessarily feel like
16:31they could hit those levels at the top and then have made it there change their characters and
16:38whatnot already leon's got incredibly fantastic in ring acumen his uh promo his uh psychology and
16:47everything in the ring is so very good and even producers and other wrestlers that he's been in
16:52the ring with that have been doing it for decades at this point yeah i've said i can't believe that
16:57this that that leon slater knows everything and gets it as much as he does having worked with him
17:02personally it's insane the man like why was everyone backstage at a show yeah because of just how much he
17:09knows how knowledgeable he is in in every facet of the industry uh he is going to be a future
17:17star
17:17it's just which company he ends up in and that's the big question on the wwe side i think they
17:21would
17:21treat him like a big deal because of who he is and and what he can do and and if
17:26he does go to wwe
17:27i'll be delighted because he will get the swan ton 450 in the next wwe game and i think that
17:31is long overdue
17:32i hope it comes in the dlc we will see um one thing in wwe there's a lot of teams
17:39that are
17:39getting put together and there's one team that seemingly is cursed and keeps getting ripped apart
17:45and it's the vision um it was talked about earlier this week by tom and ross that logan paul is
17:51suffering an injury um but it looks like they're trying to add some names to the vision uh this was
17:57from the wrestling observer newsletter that even before logan paul's recent injury there has been talk
18:01of adding names to the vision including maxine dupree who has been teased on screen but apparently
18:06there's other names getting tossed about that could join paul heyman's gang of merry men keep people
18:13away merry men keep people away he's cursed he'll get injured maybe they should add danhausen to stop
18:20the curse oh reverse the curse reverse the polarity um i i feel just for for a group that got
18:29together that
18:30with so much promise uh the talent within that group is insane uh i'd like him love him or him
18:37logan paul in the ring he's not that bad he's all bloody right it's a shame it is a shame
18:43right that
18:44yeah he is and he no longer has to rehearse his matches because he's wrestling so regularly yeah
18:49um as for adding more people in i think we've seen recently a picture of bronson reed who's looking
18:54trim and lean and insanely muscular big muscly boy so how long whether he'll be back soon or not
19:03remains to be seen i can't wait to have him back and see what he does um that's what are
19:09the names
19:10maxine dupree is an interesting one how she would fit into the group as a whole i think you just
19:17put the
19:17whole alpha academy in there and get otis and uh tozawa just in the vision hey tozawa was a great
19:25wrestler he i genuinely a genuinely very good wrestler he left japan to become a comedy guy when
19:32he was arguably one of the top juniors in japan yeah um when he went in his peak and he's
19:39still great
19:40um so yeah just get him in the vision and have him treated like an a small badass come on
19:45look um if
19:47there's any a time that people need to start joining the vision it's it's obviously now uh who
19:52that will be i don't know i'm i'm excited to see i'm excited to see who they decide is worthy
19:56to be
19:56within that faction well we'll keep an eye on that one uh one thing wwe has been keeping an eye
20:03on is
20:03the success of the wwe vault channel on youtube now the wwe network was one of the i would say
20:10greatest
20:11things wwe ever did in terms of how much it costs the access to years and years decades worth of
20:18content and that all went away with the peacock deal and the espn deal now and netflix deal but
20:24wwe started a youtube channel that uploads all their backend stuff and w's head of digital steve brabant
20:29has revealed that w is surprised at how successful that has actually become for the channel like it's
20:36huge yeah it's huge he said the success of that came with no new resources we tapped into a few
20:42people that were passionate about our archives saw the engagement on our main channel and just moved
20:46our whole vault to this page we're about to hit the four million sub mark and it shocks me every
20:51week
20:51how some content does uh and it just goes to show how much people love seeing these pieces of wrestling
20:59history that maybe they can't easily access anymore there's always something that pops up on my
21:05front page on youtube like a match that i didn't even think about or didn't even know happened all
21:10the way back in the day you sometimes get the little bespoke bits at the start where the wrestlers are
21:14talking about these matches which is always really fascinating too either why you know they love this
21:20specific match or like the whole thing surrounding the match when they went into it what everybody's
21:26mindset was where they were in their career um i think it's just that i think it's just a great
21:31thing
21:31to have to really preserve wrestling history at least within wwe you know a hundred percent agree
21:37it's it's just i find it very funny that they're shocked that free wrestling on youtube has has
21:43they've gone whoa people what people want free content yeah no um i'm sure they're thinking of ways
21:51to monetize it already it is monetized on youtube but like how can we how can we really drive the
21:56the
21:57numbers up yeah um but yeah i'm sure that we will see the launches of more w vault channels i'm

22:02we'll see we they've got the wcw one uh i think they've got an ecw one i can't remember i

22:20um we've got the king and queen of the ring tournaments coming up uh last night on smackdown trick
22:26williams declared himself for the king of the ring tournament while jc jane declared herself
22:30for queen of the ring this starts on monday's raw with ellie knight uh any out there picks at the
22:38moment andrew for you that you think bobby sorry that you're going to um you're going to you're
22:43going to shout for the winner of king or queen of the ring i mean i would have said ellie
22:47at night
22:47but again i feel bad saying it all the time um i would um maybe give it again for me
22:54maybe on the
22:55women's side if she if she gets involved i'd love to see roxanne as the queen of the ring i
23:00think
23:00there's some cool storyline stuff you could do there with her and live on the men's side um
23:07maybe they'll just invest in someone like trick williams or javon evans or someone younger there too
23:13um my my two shouts for this trick williams and then ethan page that's we've had reports recently that
23:21ethan page is like being very well regarded backstage for his work for how quickly he's fit
23:27to the main roster and i think depending on the results of clash in italy tomorrow if cody keeps that
23:33title i could see them trying to elevate trick or ethan to that level and being like hey you're the
23:41you're going for that top belt at summer slam yeah on the women's side i don't know i'm really i'm
23:45torn on now you said it though now you said ethan page like down the line oh ethan page and
23:52chelsea
23:52green as king and queen of the ring yeah rights itself take my money wwe do rights itself i would
23:59i would i would love to see that i would very much like to see that one person that i
24:03don't think will
24:04be king of the ring but you don't know i don't know but i don't think so i don't think
24:09it will be
24:09because he's not looking to be on the main roster we're talking of course about enzo amore
24:13um certified g and a bona fide stud looks to be appearing in nxt upon his return to wwe according
24:20to the wrestling observer newsletter uh there's been a lot of talk recently about him returning to the
24:25company i'm a little surprised that nxt being the landing place of this report is correct yeah because
24:31the man is not not too young no he was in nxt 10 plus years ago yep um so he's
24:41at least
24:42in his mid to late 30s i don't know yeah yeah i i would assume so in a way i
24:50don't think he's
24:50getting any younger and nxt at the moment has quite a young roster whereas the main roster likes to
24:55have a little bit of that age you know to it what um this is the thing i'm i'm i'm
25:02quite surprised that
25:03they're doing this when they want to bolster the the tag teams on the main roster the youth in the
25:09main
25:09roster yeah well that's the thing perhaps he's only in nxt temporarily because in regard to big bill
25:15formerly big cas nothing has been said regarding his return to w as official or is not really being
25:22talked about heavily within wwe however he's still under contract with aw right now i could see enzo
25:28going to nxt getting in the mix with tony d and being like hey it's cousin enzo hey it's my
25:36cousin enzo
25:37hey pizza papi you know something like that and then when big bills out of his aw contract we see
25:44a reunion on the main roster on nxt i mean i guess they must be really keen to bring enzo
25:50back
25:51they seem to be don't they with other reports that have been happening i don't know why
25:55me neither to be i mean i'm personally i i don't see what value enzo amore brings uh in current
26:03product
26:04for wwe and for nxt which like yeah he was over his end of in 10 years ago that's the
26:09thing i mean i
26:10i guess we'll see if that has still carried over in any way um and i imagine wwe are hoping
26:16that that
26:17is going to be the case and they do and he does bring that sort of gravitas that he had
26:22way back then
26:24um and you can't teach that you can't teach that exactly you can't teach that uh and i wonder if
26:33they're just if they're just waiting to see well if we've got this with enzo amore then this thing
26:38with cas coming back as well could very much work and let's put all our stock behind that and let's
26:44do this tag team division thing yeah just just to be clear on the recent tag team changes the wwe
26:50decided to get rid of the motor city machine guns and yeah before enzo and maybe cas and baby cas
27:00he could we don't know 100 that he's going to leave aw although he's been off screen the same
27:05thing happened with jericho and he's back with aw um so we don't know what's going on there but we
27:10do
27:10know that enzo could be starting in nxt very very soon i'm looking towards tomorrow night's clash in
27:16it's the it's very weird to have a pay-per-view on a sunday now yeah it's throwing me off
27:20i keep
27:20thinking it's tonight uh whereas tonight is uh not just the grandes the triple a event with oh
27:26the mask versus mask mask versus mask big big show tonight that is a big one to actually look out
27:30for i'm very hyped for for the result of that um and seeing seeing ludwig kaiser i a grande americano
27:37just beat the utter piss out of original grande it's gonna be good is it we've been waiting so long
27:43for this payoff and it's finally happening it it feels weird that it's actually finally happening
27:48i think i my prediction is chad gable grande will lose the match will go under the ring and another
27:55one will come out and it's almost and he gets the max pulled off who could it be this giant
28:01him the
28:02whole time giant guy who could it be but then he doesn't make salt gable's legs go under one
28:07on side of the ring and you see his legs sticking out and then almost his head sticks out the
28:11other end
28:12so it's like he's real we'll see i like that i predicted the mini danhausen's all coming out of
28:18did you oh the cloning machine cloning machine i predicted his debut with loads of people coming
28:23out the box i think i'm on the money with this one anyway i said we were looking at clash
28:26in italy
28:27pw insider has reported that despite becky lynch saying that so ruka was not medically cleared to
28:32compete after she legitimately got banged up at the recent saturday night's mid event she is traveling
28:37to italy for a clash in italy and is expected to be on the show so that match looks like
28:42it's going
28:42to go ahead but there's one match particularly the main event that looks to be in doubt um this comes
28:50from pw insider as well saying jacob fatu was injured during wwe's live event in liverpool on thursday
28:56he was reportedly seen limping to the back following a match with solo sokoa now responding to that report
29:02cory hayes of false finish says that wwe is currently looking at potential pivots for the
29:07main event tomorrow night but is working under the assumption that he will be fine and cleared to compete
29:12by sunday based on those two reports i think it's probably somewhere in the middle in the fact that
29:17they need a backup because they're not entirely sure that he is going to be cleared yeah i
29:26i'm really interested to see how this plays out then they're currently obviously working only
29:30under the assumption that he'll be fine and clear to compete uh jacob fatu hard man scary hard man
29:37very hard i imagine in a match like this he will push for himself to be okay to be to
29:45to do this um
29:46i mean i would have loved to have seen jacob win the championship i i predictions sort of would have
29:55would
29:56have steered closer towards roman retaining anyway unfortunately um the heart is saying jacob
30:02the heart says the heart says jacob but the head and the bookies say roman yeah um so i thought

30:11said the hooky as a scottish word for a horse that's exactly what i said yes but but the hooky
30:17says
30:17the hooky says this um but uh i i guess then we'll see what happens storyline wise i mean obviously
30:25i hope he's okay out yeah outside of storyline and everything else uh jacob being injured sucks because
30:31jacob's an incredible person to our own telly always one of the most entertaining right now
