Peter Evans explores the blueprint for a true pastor left to us by the Apostle Paul. To the eye and ear, Paul was of little worth to those with a worldly focus. But Paul's legacy has long surpassed any of the false teachers who competed with him for the souls of the numerous churches he had founded.

00:00O let me, O let me draw thee, O let me to thee, heaven and heaven.
00:07O let me, O let me, O let me, O let me, O let me, O let me, O let
00:20me, my Savior and my friend.
00:30Well, welcome to our worship together at Chartres tonight.
00:34It's good to be together in the name of the Lord.
00:37And some words just to prepare us for worship from Psalm 147.
00:45Praise the Lord, it is good to sing praises to our God, for it is pleasant and praise is beautiful.
00:54The Lord builds up Jerusalem, he gathers together the outcasts of Israel, he heals the brokenhearted, he binds up their
01:05wounds.
01:06He counts the number of the stars and he calls them by name.
01:11Great is the Lord and mighty is his power.
01:16His understanding is infinite.
01:19The Lord lifts up the humble, but he casts the wicked down to the ground.
01:26Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving.
01:30Sing praises on the harp to our God.
01:34So we're turning in the word to Acts chapter 20.
01:39And we'll begin by reading at verse 17.
01:46The situation is, here the Apostle Paul is on his journey to Jerusalem.
01:52He feels compelled by the Spirit to go there to witness to the Jews at the festival.
02:01And all the time he's warned against what will happen to him there.
02:05But on the way, although he isn't actually stopping at Ephesus, he wants to meet the Ephesian elders for the
02:15very last time.
02:18So we start reading at verse 17, Acts chapter 20.
02:23From Martyrus, he sent to Ephesus to call the elders of the church.
02:31And when they had come to him, he said to them,
02:36You know from the first day I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived amongst you.
02:45Serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials,
02:57And how I kept nothing back that was helpful,
03:01But proclaimed it to you, and talked to you publicly, from house to house.
03:09Testifying to the Jews, but also to the Greeks,
03:15Repentance to God, and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ.
03:21And see now, I go bound in the Spirit to Jerusalem,
03:27Not knowing the things that will happen to me there,
03:32Except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city,
03:36Saying that chains and tribulation await me.
03:40But none of these things move me,
03:43Nor do I count my life dear to myself,
03:46So that I may finish my race with joy,
03:50And my ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus,
03:54To testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
04:00And indeed,
04:03Now I know you all, amongst you,
04:07I have gone preaching the kingdom of God,
04:10Or see my face no more.
04:13Therefore,
04:15I testify to you this day,
04:18That I am innocent of the blood of all men,
04:22For I have not shunned to declare the whole counsel of God.
04:28Therefore,
04:30Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock,
04:34Amongst which the Holy Spirit has made you oversee us,
04:37To shepherd the church of God,
04:40Which he purchased with his own blood.
04:44But know this,
04:47After my departure,
04:48Savage wolves will come amongst you,
04:51Not sparing the flock.
04:55Also from amongst yourselves,
04:57Men will rise up,
04:58Speaking perverse things,
05:01Drawn away,
05:02Disciples after themselves.
05:05Therefore watch,
05:06And remember that for three years,
05:09I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.
05:16So now, brethren,
05:18I commend you to God,
05:22And to the word of his grace,
05:24Which is able to build you up,
05:26And give you an inheritance amongst all who are sanctified.
05:31I have coveted no one's silver or gold,
05:34Or apparel,
05:37Yes, you yourselves know that these hands provided for my necessities,
05:44And for those who were with me,
05:47I have shown you in every way,
05:49By labouring like this,
05:51That you must support the weak,
05:54And remember the words of the Lord Jesus Christ,
05:58That he said,
06:00It is more blessed to give than receive.
06:06And when he had said these things,
06:09He knelt down,
06:11And he prayed with them all.
06:14And when they had all wept freely,
06:17And they fell on Paul's neck,
06:19And they kissed him,
06:21Sorrowing most of all,
06:23The words which he spoke,
06:24That they would see his face no more.
06:28And they accompanied him to the ship.
06:31Last week we looked to 2 Timothy,
06:33Paul's closing address,
06:36As his last statement,
06:38His last witness that we have,
06:40Where he sought to instruct,
06:42To guide,
06:44To encourage,
06:45And to warn his young prodigies,
06:47Timothy,
06:49And to prepare him for the responsibilities,
06:52And to prepare him for the responsibilities,
06:52Or continuing responsibilities of ministry,
06:55And in a way,
06:57The way that he had to take over responsibilities from Paul.
07:02And I felt it sort of led to stay on that theme.
07:08And so this is probably a very similar passage,
07:12Again,
07:12It's a closing passage for Paul,
07:15It's his last meeting with the Ephesian elders,
07:20A church that he was very fond of,
07:23A place where he spent much time,
07:25Invested a lot of his life in,
07:30And now he knows that he will never have a chance to see them again.
07:36And he wishes to instruct them,
07:39And to impart to them,
07:41Just this testimony.
07:47And perhaps what we read here,
07:49The teaching is,
07:51It's perhaps fairly basic for us,
07:55And yet in a way it's not.
07:58Because this is the testimony of a true pastor.
08:02And if we look down the ages,
08:04At the way that the church has bottled itself,
08:08Most of the time it's been a long way,
08:11From any sort of ministry that was perhaps like Paul's.
08:14Even in his time,
08:16Well there's a natural,
08:17Natural desire perhaps that we've got,
08:20That veers towards looking at the worldly.
08:23Somehow we have to constantly,
08:27Model ourselves on our worldly ideas.
08:31I suppose the world,
08:34The flesh and the devil are always at war with us,
08:36Drawing us,
08:37Seeking to draw us in that direction.
08:39And it happens within the church.
08:42And we even see,
08:44It's all within the New Testament times,
08:47Like a Corinth,
08:51Perhaps a very immature church,
08:53But,
08:55There they didn't think much of Paul,
08:58Although he's perhaps the greatest evangelist,
09:00The greatest pastor,
09:02And the greatest expert in Christian doctrine ever,
09:04As far as they were concerned,
09:07Compared with their,
09:09Their,
09:10Their super apostles,
09:12What were basically false teachers,
09:14He wasn't much of an orator,
09:16They were great orators,
09:17And he,
09:18Well they said his speech was contemptible,
09:21They were impressive in appearance and presentation,
09:25Paul was not,
09:27Of course according to tradition,
09:30He was short,
09:31And he was hunchbacked,
09:33And bowlegged from all his beatings,
09:37And they were of course,
09:38A financial success,
09:40A worldly success,
09:41And Paul was not,
09:42So they didn't think much of him,
09:45And there's that,
09:47That warped thinking,
09:49That so easily,
09:51Gets within the teaching,
09:53Even within,
09:54Or in,
09:54Perceptions even within the church,
09:59So what's the testimony,
10:01Of a true pastor,
10:04Let's look at what Paul has to say here,
10:07And whatever our area of ministry,
10:08These are all truths,
10:10That would apply to us,
10:11To us all,
10:14First of all,
10:15He states,
10:17He served the Lord,
10:19He did not serve men,
10:21He served the Lord,
10:24That's his,
10:25His opening statement,
10:26That was really the mission in his life,
10:29That's the thing,
10:30Perhaps we read,
10:31Or note from,
10:33Wherever we come across him,
10:35His focus was on serving the Lord,
10:40But he did so with humility,
10:45With all humility,
10:47He was a man that was humbled,
10:48Although,
10:49In some senses,
10:50A very able man,
10:52A man,
10:53But he was also a man,
10:54That had lost,
10:55Everything,
10:56He'd lost all his status,
10:58And his worldly goods,
10:59In pursuit of the gospel,
11:03Such a powerful factor,
11:05Such an important factor,
11:07In powerful ministry,
11:08Is humility,
11:10God hates,
11:10The proud,
11:12And the arrogant,
11:14And scripture tells us,
11:15That time and time again,
11:17And how he brings down the proud,
11:19And how he uplifts the humble,
11:22Of course even Paul said,
11:24Of course the Lord would take away,
11:27His thorn in the flesh,
11:29Whatever that was,
11:30That because it stopped him,
11:34Becoming puffed up,
11:35It stopped him,
11:36Becoming exalted,
11:38And arrogant,
11:39He was kept humble,
11:42So he served the Lord,
11:44With humility,
11:48With many tears,
11:49And trials,
11:51Of course they were never,
11:53Very far away from him,
11:54Wherever he seemed to go,
11:55Whatever he seemed to do,
11:56There was always opposition,
11:59He was always being,
12:00Driven out,
12:01And opposed,
12:03He had all his many,
12:04Beatings and,
12:07Imprisonments,
12:08And he had all the,
12:09Practicalities of,
12:11Illness,
12:12And of long journeys,
12:13And the shipwrecks,
12:14And,
12:17The whole of his ministry,
12:19Or most of it,
12:20Seems to have been,
12:21Trying,
12:23Faced with many rejections,
12:26And yet through it,
12:28Church after church,
12:30Was formed,
12:32And,
12:32Of course so much instruction,
12:34Later on was given,
12:36Which has sustained,
12:37Been a living word,
12:39To the church,
12:40Down the ages,
12:43But it came out of,
12:45Trial and,
12:46And of suffering,
12:48And disappointment,
12:51As will be true,
12:53For these things,
12:54Will never be far away,
12:55From any true ministry,
12:57He kept nothing back,
12:59He proclaimed,
13:01The whole of the gospel,
13:03He shared the whole,
13:04Of his gospel,
13:05He shared,
13:06All the truths,
13:08That were imparted to him,
13:09All the spiritual knowledge,
13:10He,
13:11He was open,
13:13About his pastoral concerns,
13:14And his hopes,
13:16Everything he did,
13:17Was open,
13:18Very much in contrast,
13:20To the way that the world works,
13:23Where to hold back,
13:25Is very often,
13:26A sort of prudent,
13:27It's what happens,
13:29I suppose in commerce,
13:30Where,
13:31With commodities,
13:32Where traders like to try,
13:34And restrict supply,
13:35To push prices up,
13:37Of course knowledge is power,
13:39And people like to hold it back,
13:42And to manipulate it,
13:44In,
13:45In the New Testament times,
13:47There were people like,
13:48The Gnostics,
13:50And the false teachers,
13:51Who claimed to have,
13:52Their secret knowledge,
13:55Of course,
13:57Of course that,
13:57Well,
13:57You could share in,
13:58If you became,
13:59Part of them,
14:01If you,
14:02For a fee,
14:05No,
14:06They had this,
14:06This secret knowledge,
14:08And the cults have,
14:09Modelled that,
14:10Down the ages,
14:13Of course they have,
14:14This information,
14:16That can be purchased,
14:18That they hold back,
14:23Completely satanic,
14:24Forced teaching,
14:27But true christian ministry,
14:30Is completely open,
14:31Paul was open,
14:32He shared everything,
14:33He had,
14:34His ministry was public,
14:36It was on the streets,
14:37It was from house to house,
14:40He kept nothing back,
14:43He imparted everything,
14:44That was entrusted to him,
14:47All his desire,
14:48To share the gospel,
14:49To whoever he was with,
14:52It was an inclusive gospel,
14:55Testifying to the Jews,
14:56But also to the Greeks,
14:58He started with the Jews,
15:00Always,
15:01Because he used to,
15:02Try and start in a new place,
15:04In the synagogue,
15:05If there was one there,
15:07He had this great burden,
15:09For his own people,
15:10The Jews,
15:11But he was never restricted,
15:12To that,
15:13Of course,
15:14It was a gospel,
15:15A gospel for the Gentiles,
15:16A gospel for everybody,
15:19A gospel that he shared,
15:21Wherever he was,
15:22Whether it was in the synagogue,
15:23On the street,
15:24In somebody's house,
15:27It was an inclusive gospel,
15:29It was for everybody,
15:30It was a simple gospel,
15:32Repentance towards God,
15:34And faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
15:39He didn't complicate it,
15:41He stuck to the true,
15:43True gospel,
15:44In spite of his vast knowledge,
15:46Of theology,
15:47His vast understanding,
15:49Of the word,
15:50And the way that God had worked,
15:53Through the ages,
15:57He preached,
15:58He preached,
15:58He shared a simple gospel,
16:00He pointed,
16:01He started with repentance,
16:02And then pointed towards the answer,
16:04To a man's sin,
16:06Which was the Lord,
16:08At the cross,
16:10Of course,
16:11He,
16:12He states at the beginning,
16:13Of Corinthians,
16:15After trying to be a bit clever,
16:16When he was preaching at Athens,
16:19No,
16:19From now on,
16:20I'm only going to preach Christ,
16:21And Christ crucified,
16:25I'm going to stick,
16:26With the basic gospel,
16:28Even though it's,
16:29A stumbling block to the Jews,
16:31And incomprehensible to the Greeks,
16:34I'm going to,
16:35Not try and be clever,
16:37I'm just going to stick,
16:39To this simple gospel,
16:41He's in this,
16:42Perhaps almost,
16:43Well,
16:44He's completely focused,
16:47On what his ministry was,
16:49And what he's called to do,
16:53At this time,
16:54Of course,
16:55He feels compelled,
16:56Compelled,
16:57By the Holy Spirit,
16:58To go to Jerusalem,
16:59To go for the festival,
17:01That he just has this,
17:02Burden to deliver,
17:05This final testimony,
17:07To the,
17:09To the people of Jerusalem,
17:13And,
17:14He's not concerned,
17:16With what's going to happen to him,
17:18The same Holy Spirit,
17:19Has warned him,
17:20Through different people,
17:21All on this journey,
17:23Of what's going to happen,
17:24To him there,
17:26But he's not distracted,
17:28He's completely focused,
17:30On what he sees,
17:32As completing his ministry,
17:36Nothing's going to divert him,
17:38From that,
17:38Nothing's going to distract him,
17:42Nothing's going to frighten him,
17:45Or persuade him otherwise,
17:48He's focused,
17:49On what he was called to do,
17:51And he has no concern,
17:53Of a,
17:54None of these things move me,
17:55I do not count my life,
17:57Dear to myself,
17:58But I may finish the race,
18:00With joy,
18:02On the ministry,
18:03That I receive,
18:04From the Lord Jesus Christ,
18:05To testify,
18:06To the grace of God,
18:09Of course he states,
18:10As we saw last week,
18:11In 2 Timothy,
18:12That he did finish that race,
18:14No,
18:14I finished the race,
18:16I,
18:16You know,
18:17I have completed,
18:18What I was called to do,
18:21That was his desire,
18:23He was focused,
18:24On the thing,
18:25That he would be given to do,
18:27And he was determined,
18:28To finish it,
18:29He was a finisher,
18:31He made it clear to them,
18:33That because he knew,
18:34That he had no more opportunity,
18:36To go back to them,
18:37That he's,
18:38He had shared the full gospel,
18:40To them,
18:41And that therefore,
18:42He was innocent,
18:43Of any,
18:44Any man's blood,
18:45Nobody could claim,
18:46That they had not heard,
18:48The gospel,
18:49Or had an opportunity,
18:50To hear the gospel,
18:51From Paul,
18:55Last time I was with you,
18:56Of course,
18:57We looked at this subject,
18:58When we looked at the,
18:59Parable of the watchman,
19:02And that the fact,
19:03If the watchman,
19:04Gave his warning,
19:05And it was rejected,
19:06Then he was not responsible,
19:10For what happened,
19:12But if he did not,
19:14Give the warning,
19:16If he did not,
19:17Tell people of the danger,
19:19That he was in,
19:20And of course,
19:21He was responsible,
19:22He shared,
19:23In their guilt,
19:24And in their fall,
19:25And in their judgment,
19:27While Paul has complete confidence,
19:29That he has been,
19:30The good watchman,
19:32He has shared everything,
19:34Amongst these people,
19:37That they have no reason,
19:38Not to understand the gospel,
19:40Not to understand its implications,
19:43Not to be prepared,
19:45For what is coming,
19:46He has labored amongst them,
19:48And he has shared,
19:49The whole gospel,
19:55I have declared to you,
19:57I have not shunned,
19:58To declare to you,
19:59The whole counsel of God,
20:01Of course that's perhaps,
20:03Very different from,
20:05Maybe the world today,
20:07Where we like to be,
20:08A little bit selective,
20:09We need to be,
20:10A little bit clever,
20:13I know we need to be positive,
20:15To have the right spin on things,
20:17Not to be negative,
20:19Well Paul was not like that,
20:21He had shared the whole counsel,
20:25He had not left bits out,
20:27That were unpleasant,
20:29Or had implications,
20:31He had not,
20:36Interfered with it,
20:37And put any spin on it,
20:43And as his,
20:44His time with them had ended,
20:47He was,
20:47Had complete confidence,
20:50That he had done his job there,
20:51It was always his policy,
20:54Of course to,
20:55To build leadership,
20:57And to,
20:57To take people to maturity,
20:59As quickly as possible,
21:01In the way to build churches,
21:04Of course there's,
21:05Jess,
21:05I prayed earlier,
21:07About the world,
21:08The way that worldly leaders,
21:09Like to build their empires,
21:11And to make sure,
21:12Nobody else can reach them,
21:15Paul did exactly the reverse,
21:18His desire was just to form a church,
21:22To impart to others,
21:24All the knowledge he had,
21:26To instruct them,
21:28In the way of the Lord,
21:29To help them mature,
21:30In their responsibilities,
21:32So he could always move on,
21:35And effectively,
21:37Just give away,
21:38All the time,
21:39To give away,
21:40What he had worked for,
21:43And to pass it on to others,
21:45And at this point,
21:47He's,
21:49He's very keen,
21:50To remind them of,
21:51Now that he can be with them,
21:53No more,
21:54Of their responsibilities,
21:55In leadership,
21:57And he has this particular concern,
22:00Obviously for their well-being,
22:02For their safety,
22:04You know,
22:04From those who,
22:06Who seek to destroy,
22:08And those false teachers,
22:10That were,
22:11Always rising up,
22:13In the different ministries,
22:18He warns them,
22:19In his closing,
22:21Time with them,
22:22Really of that danger,
22:26And we,
22:28It seems,
22:31Because,
22:33We read it,
22:34In the beginning of Revelation,
22:36In there,
22:37Where the message is given,
22:39To the church in Ephesus,
22:40That they had been faithful,
22:41In rejecting,
22:43Forced teaching,
22:44That was one of the things,
22:46They were commended for,
22:47So,
22:48What Paul,
22:49Is instructed them here,
22:51And trying to impart,
22:53To them here,
22:53That they were faithful,
22:55In that,
22:58But very much,
23:00The deep concern,
23:01Of any perhaps true pastor,
23:03Is for the well-being,
23:06Of,
23:06Of those,
23:08That have been under his care,
23:10Under their care,
23:12That they will be able,
23:14To mature,
23:14And to flourish,
23:15And not be destroyed,
23:18Of course,
23:19It's one of those things,
23:20As a garden,
23:21You're very aware,
23:22Of things trying to destroy,
23:23Your crops,
23:24All the time,
23:26And you're fighting,
23:27Against one thing,
23:28Or another,
23:30All the time,
23:31And it's just the same,
23:32For a pastor really,
23:34Or for,
23:34Within the Christian faith,
23:37The forces of evil,
23:38Are always seeking,
23:40To undermine our faith,
23:43To divide the ministry,
23:45To distract us,
23:46From the word,
23:50Paul has this deep concern,
23:52That that should not happen here,
23:55And he warns them again,
23:57And he says,
23:58He's been warning them,
24:00Well I did not cease to warn you,
24:02Every night and day,
24:04With tears,
24:04For three years,
24:07So he has worked desperately hard,
24:10To prepare them,
24:11To be a strong church,
24:13To be able to stand,
24:15When he is no longer there,
24:18To guide them,
24:19But Paul accepts,
24:20That there is a point,
24:21Where he has to,
24:23Let go,
24:24And where he has to commend them,
24:26To the grace of God,
24:29Something I suppose,
24:30We all have to understand,
24:32In whatever area of ministry,
24:34We have,
24:35There is that point,
24:37Where we have done,
24:38What we are called to do,
24:40And where we have to leave it,
24:42With the Lord,
24:44And Paul knows,
24:46That for the,
24:47For Ephesus,
24:48This was his point,
24:50Now,
24:51So I commend you,
24:52To God,
24:54To the word of grace,
24:55Which is able to build you up,
24:57And an inheritance,
24:59In all who are sanctified,
25:02Paul was never interested,
25:04In material gain,
25:06Or exploiting his position,
25:08As a pastor,
25:09For his own benefit,
25:12He says,
25:13I have coveted,
25:14No one's silver or gold,
25:17Yes you know,
25:18That these hands are provided,
25:20For my necessities,
25:25Of course,
25:25One of the sad things,
25:27That happens,
25:29Well not,
25:30Well in the cult,
25:31But cults,
25:32But also,
25:33Of course very much,
25:34In the fringes,
25:35Of church ministry,
25:36All the time,
25:37Is those who seek,
25:38Financial gain,
25:40From peddling the gospel,
25:43And those who exploit it,
25:45For their own benefit,
25:49Paul was,
25:49That could be absolutely,
25:50Clear about that,
25:52He had never sought,
25:53To take,
25:55Or to profiteer,
25:56From anyone,
25:58And he though,
25:59He was a,
26:00A great academic,
26:02Had his trade,
26:03He worked with his hands,
26:05He,
26:05He was worked as a tent maker,
26:08Maybe as other things as well,
26:10And he provided for himself,
26:12For his team,
26:13For the poor,
26:15And set an example to,
26:17To others,
26:18That that was the way,
26:19To do things,
26:21He quotes this,
26:23Quote here,
26:24That it is more blessed,
26:25To give,
26:26Than to receive,
26:27The words of the Lord Jesus,
26:29He modelled that,
26:32He modelled that,
26:33In the whole of his ministry,
26:34He modelled that financially,
26:37And so,
26:38And so,
26:38As a pastor,
26:39He had,
26:39He had served the Lord,
26:41Not man,
26:43He had,
26:44Lived in humility,
26:47In spite of the fact,
26:48That in some senses,
26:49He was,
26:50One of the greatest,
26:53Pastors,
26:53And theologians,
26:55And evangelists ever,
26:58He worked in humility,
27:00His ministry,
27:01Was completely dogged,
27:03With difficulties,
27:04With trials,
27:05And with,
27:07With tears,
27:10He freely,
27:12And wholeheartedly,
27:13Gave out everything,
27:15He shared a full gospel,
27:17He kept nothing back,
27:19He shared all his knowledge,
27:21And his insights,
27:24He never sought to profiteer,
27:27He never sought to,
27:29To hurt a game,
27:31He had complete confidence,
27:33That he had done his job,
27:35That he had shared,
27:36The whole gospel,
27:39With it all,
27:41Openly,
27:42And publicly,
27:45He had sought to build,
27:47A leadership that was strong enough,
27:49To build,
27:49To stand up to the challenges,
27:52That would happen,
27:53After his departure,
27:56And now he's commended them,
27:58To the grace of God,
28:01And finally,
28:02He prays with them,
28:07And maybe that was,
28:10His ministry,
28:11Although,
28:13It's been perhaps,
28:14The most powerful part,
28:15Of it all along,
28:18Of course,
28:18He spent much time in prayer,
28:20He taught them to pray,
28:21Spent a lot of time,
28:23Praying for them,
28:25And I said he was praying,
28:26Without ceasing,
28:28And finally,
28:30They grieved,
28:32At his departing,
28:33He was much loved,
28:36This must be the testimony,
28:38Of any,
28:38Any perhaps true pastor,
28:41And they weep,
28:43As he goes,
28:46It was said,
28:47It was said actually,
28:48Of the former Prime Minister,
28:49Harold Wilson,
28:50As he,
28:51He announced his retirement,
28:53Quite suddenly,
28:53When he reached the age of 60,
28:55Quite unexpectedly,
28:56For personal health reasons,
28:58And it said,
28:59Members of the cabinet,
29:00I think it's particularly,
29:01Peter Shaw cried,
29:02When they heard the news,
29:05It's hard to imagine,
29:07That happening,
29:07In the current circumstances,
29:10But for Paul,
29:13As their leader,
29:15They're desperately sad,
29:17To see,
29:18To know,
29:18That they will never see him again,
29:20That's very much,
29:21A testimony,
29:22To everything he was to them,
29:24And to the ministry,
29:25That he gave them,
29:27So the testimony,
29:29Of a true pastor,
29:30Well there are things there,
29:32That we should all model,
29:34And look to,
29:36In a world,
29:37Where there are,
29:38Many,
29:39Many scams,
29:41And many false teaching,
29:42Going on even within the church,
29:44Let alone outside it,
29:48A true,
29:50Ministry,
29:51That was modelled on the Lord,
29:53And lived out,
29:54In accordance to the guidance,
29:56Of the spirit,
29:57And the obedience to the world,
30:00Paul,
30:02Clearly illustrated,
30:03Everything that it was,
30:04To be,
30:05A true pastor,
30:06A true evangelist,
30:08And a true leader,
30:11And,
30:11So may we be encouraged,
30:14In that.
30:26If you are my friend,
30:29If you are my friend,
30:30If you are my friend,
30:30I shall feel the battle,
30:32If you are by my side,
30:36I will wander from the highway,
30:39If you will be my guide,
30:43Lord psalm,
30:44I will.
30:45If you are my friend,
30:47And you will neither,
30:53If you are my brother,
30:56If you are my son,
30:59I will be my son,
31:00I will be my son,
31:04I will be my son,
31:04If you are my son.
31:07Yes,
31:09And and and and and and and the book,
31:12He will find you a Son,
31:13from sin.
31:18He is speaking
31:21in access here and still
31:25and then his words
31:27of flesh and
31:29wounds of self-help.
31:33He seeks to reassure
31:36me
31:37that he is not
31:39control.
31:40She can
31:42make me listen
31:44and guide you
31:46of my soul.
