00:00:00I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, and I will enter His courts with praise.
00:00:09I will say this is the day that the Lord has made, I will make us for He has made
00:00:17me glad.
00:00:20He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will make us for He has made me glad.
00:00:30He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will make us for He has made me glad.
00:00:40It's good to be here with you, I'll just share a little bit with you.
00:00:43I'm a teacher.
00:00:44So this is myself and my lovely wife.
00:00:46We met back in the 80s in Senegal, West Africa.
00:00:50I was a single missionary out there.
00:00:53I had gone to do church planting.
00:00:55The organization that I work with in the UK is New Tribes Mission.
00:00:58We have other names in other countries around the world, but there are still over 2,000 language groups that
00:01:05do not have any of God's Word.
00:01:07And our goal is to have a thriving church in every people group around the world.
00:01:12There will be some from every tribe, every tongue, every people, and every nation that stands before the throne of
00:01:19God.
00:01:20And that's a promise from the scripture that we know.
00:01:23So I set out to do things that happened.
00:01:26I ended up that God had a different plan for me.
00:01:29So my wife and I have been here over 26 years.
00:01:33And we're at North Coates College.
00:01:35North Coates College in Lincolnshire.
00:01:37If you know a little bit about Grimsby, we say to our students,
00:01:41from the end of the earth to the ends of the earth.
00:01:44And we're training this year.
00:01:46Thankfully, we have 38 new students joining us.
00:01:50We're the European Training Center.
00:01:52So that would be the United Kingdom and the continent and a few other places.
00:01:56We get Canadians and Americans that come over to train with us.
00:02:00All of our training centers around the world all teach exactly the same thing,
00:02:05the same doctrine with the same purpose.
00:02:07And that is that we might establish believers in every language group around the world.
00:02:15Still 2,000 don't even have John 3.16 of all the language groups.
00:02:20And so North Coates College is starting next week.
00:02:23And we use a unique approach.
00:02:25We use the approach that Jesus used on the road to Emmaus.
00:02:30Beginning with Moses and all the prophets,
00:02:33he explained to them all the things concerning himself.
00:02:36So I will begin.
00:02:37I already have my lessons prepped.
00:02:39My wife has printed my handouts.
00:02:41And with all the new students, I'll start in Genesis 1.1.
00:02:44In the beginning, God.
00:02:47Right?
00:02:48So you're an introduction to God.
00:02:50In the very first verse of the Bible,
00:02:52created the heavens and the earth.
00:02:54And so I'm looking forward to that.
00:02:55And we'll take that timeline and go all the way through the Bible.
00:02:59And so my last lesson in July is Revelation.
00:03:03Revelation.
00:03:03So I get to start out in Genesis and I get to end up in Revelation.
00:03:07And I primarily do that.
00:03:09And we say, you know, why do we do this?
00:03:11Well, we do what in theological terms is called foundational teaching.
00:03:14We teach the foundational truths of the Bible.
00:03:17And again, and we do that by giving.
00:03:20And again, this is a new word that everybody's using, the metanarrative,
00:03:24the worldview metanarrative.
00:03:26You know, what has God been saying from Genesis 1.1 all the way through the Bible?
00:03:31Our approach is the exact approach I'm going to use tonight.
00:03:36We believe in a consistent literal hermeneutic.
00:03:40Now, everyone believes in a literal hermeneutic.
00:03:44But you will find, like with our message tonight, when we talk about the millennium,
00:03:49not everyone holds, in my opinion and that of others, to consistently being literal.
00:03:55There are those that feel at times they'd rather allegorize the Bible.
00:04:01Now, we believe that causes problems.
00:04:04That causes problems.
00:04:05Now, I'm not trying to be rude or mean or anything.
00:04:07I spend my life talking to students.
00:04:09I'm sure there will be lots of bold conversations with students over this next year
00:04:15that are coming from all walks of life, all kinds of denominations,
00:04:18all kinds of different churches from various countries all around the world.
00:04:23And they will have some different opinions, as I say.
00:04:27And I hope my weird humor doesn't offend you, okay?
00:04:30I say that the most consistently quoted book is the Book of Second Opinions.
00:04:36Everyone has an opinion on something.
00:04:39But the opinion doesn't matter.
00:04:41The Word of God does.
00:04:43It's the Word of God that we're looking at.
00:04:46And so we're going to focus on the gospel and focus on a life and a ministry glorifying God.
00:04:54And really, that leads us well into what we want to do tonight.
00:04:59We want to look at the Bible.
00:05:01And as the Word goes, so what people are talking about today, the worldview, metanarrative.
00:05:06What's the big picture?
00:05:08What's God doing?
00:05:10What's God's plan?
00:05:11Now, we all believe God has everything in control.
00:05:15God lives outside of time.
00:05:16You see, you and I are bound by time.
00:05:19God isn't.
00:05:21God can still see Genesis 1-1 right now because God is timeless.
00:05:26He lives outside of time.
00:05:27God sees eternities, eternities, eternity because He's God.
00:05:32And that's who He is.
00:05:34And God has everything in control.
00:05:36And as we see here, we want to look and we want to talk about the kingdom.
00:05:41Now, the kingdom is talked about all through the Old Testament.
00:05:44It's talked about through the Gospels.
00:05:46But a little bit it's talked about in the epistles, but not an awful lot.
00:05:51But then when you come to the book of the Revelation,
00:05:54we're going to see that it's talked about again.
00:05:56And we want to look at this and we want to say, if we're consistent, can we understand it?
00:06:03You see, some people, when they approach the Bible, they look and they think,
00:06:07well, there are things that God doesn't mean for us to understand.
00:06:11That's not how God puts it forth.
00:06:13Thessalonians makes it very clearly.
00:06:14I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep.
00:06:20And actually, that terminology is used in other places.
00:06:24The Lord asks questions.
00:06:26And again, when I teach students, how do you share your faith?
00:06:29How do you witness?
00:06:30How did the Lord do it?
00:06:31He asked them questions.
00:06:33And so tonight, we'll have to think about some of those things.
00:06:37What's the nature of his kingdom?
00:06:39What are the timings of his kingdom?
00:06:42And then what are the results of his kingdom?
00:06:44Now, again, we just hope tonight, all we really can do,
00:06:47it is like with the teaching that we do in the mission is hit the mountain tips.
00:06:52You know, the tops, the very tops of the mountains.
00:06:54We'll look tonight.
00:06:55But what I'm convinced of, and because I've seen for over 43, 45 years now of full-time ministry,
00:07:03is I've seen people say that wasn't really that difficult.
00:07:08Believe it or not, I tell the students that when we study the book of Revelation,
00:07:12it's going to be quite easy for you.
00:07:14The book of Revelation is one of the easiest books in the Bible to translate into another language.
00:07:20It's straightforward narrative.
00:07:22It doesn't use a lot of language.
00:07:25It doesn't use a lot of big words.
00:07:28It's very straightforward.
00:07:29And so for translators, like that was my goal, was to translate from the I am language to give them
00:07:35God's word.
00:07:36And of course, it is just about done now.
00:07:39My coworkers are just waiting for someone that can check the translation to make sure of its perfect accuracy,
00:07:47or at least as accurate as we can be in a translation.
00:07:51And so as we come along and we think about this,
00:07:54when we look at the first point,
00:07:56now I realize, you know, that not everybody believes that.
00:08:00I tend to ask the students some questions as we go along,
00:08:04and I'm going to do that as we go along.
00:08:06Now, you don't have to answer back to me.
00:08:08You can think about them yourself.
00:08:09But all the covenants of Israel must be literally fulfilled.
00:08:16Otherwise, we have some problems.
00:08:18We have some problems that God said he was going to do this thing,
00:08:23and then if he doesn't do it, he's not been truthful.
00:08:27Now, none of us would say that.
00:08:30We know that he is the God who cannot lie.
00:08:33And we know this to be true.
00:08:35And we'll think about the prophecies in Scripture.
00:08:38Should they not all be fulfilled?
00:08:40Should they not all be fulfilled?
00:08:43Actually, in a literal way.
00:08:45And then my final point for this one, which we'll look at all these four,
00:08:49in just a little tiny bit of detail,
00:08:51all rule and authority must be brought under Christ.
00:08:55You see, there are different opinions.
00:08:58You see, when it comes to a kingdom,
00:09:01some believe we're in the kingdom now.
00:09:05That's a term that's called amillennialism.
00:09:08This is preterism, if you like.
00:09:10I don't want to be too technical with you.
00:09:12But there are those that believe.
00:09:13I have friends, pastor friends, who hold to that view.
00:09:17Some believe that Christ is going to establish his kingdom
00:09:22at the end of a golden era.
00:09:25That's called postmillennialism.
00:09:28In other words, the earth must be evangelized.
00:09:31And then Christ will come back to take his throne.
00:09:36Some believe amillennialism, Christ is on his throne now.
00:09:41I hold to the view, in PWMI, we hold to the view called premillennialism.
00:09:47And that is that God has a distinct plan.
00:09:51In a nutshell, the Bible is very clear when we come to the New Testament,
00:09:55and particularly in the book of the Revelation.
00:09:58We're told in places to give no offense to the Jew,
00:10:01to the Gentile, nor to the church of God.
00:10:04And again, when God's creation started out,
00:10:07everyone were Gentiles, non-Jews.
00:10:09And we can go through with Adam and Eve and all the way through Noah and Abram
00:10:15and all the way through until you come to Abram.
00:10:18And then suddenly we have the Jewish people.
00:10:21And again, and then from that point onward,
00:10:24we understand that when we come into the New Testament,
00:10:28something new began.
00:10:29That's the language of the Acts of the Apostles.
00:10:32The body of Christ.
00:10:33Jesus gave a promise to his disciples that his spirit would be what would make the difference.
00:10:41The indwelling Holy Spirit.
00:10:42In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit only came upon individuals,
00:10:46or left individuals, for divine tasks.
00:10:51King Saul is an example of that.
00:10:53That at the beginning of his kingdom, he had God's spirit, but then he lost it.
00:10:57And again, and we can see at various times, you know,
00:11:01when you come along and you look at Scripture with David.
00:11:04David was a believer.
00:11:06He was a man after God's own heart.
00:11:08But David struggled with sin.
00:11:11And when David sinned, he didn't say in Psalms, right?
00:11:16Psalms 51.
00:11:16Lord, say me again.
00:11:18No, he asked God for forgiveness against thee and thee only have I sinned and done this wicked thing.
00:11:24And he asked the Lord to restore to him the joy of his salvation.
00:11:30You see, he was saved, but he had lost the joy because sin separated him from walking with God.
00:11:39But he didn't lose his salvation.
00:11:41Well, the same is true of us as believers today in the church age.
00:11:44The only difference is we have God's spirit given to us as an earnest, as a guarantee of our salvation.
00:11:52And so just to think a little bit about each of these points, okay?
00:11:57Just to think a little bit, the purpose of the kingdom.
00:12:00Why have a kingdom?
00:12:02Now, again, are a millennialist correct?
00:12:05Or post-millennials?
00:12:07That'd be John Calvin.
00:12:08John Calvin would have basically been a post-millennialist.
00:12:11He would have believed that the earth would have to be Christianized before Christ would come back.
00:12:17Whereas there are those that took the opinion that, hang on, this is the kingdom that was established around A
00:12:25.D. 70.
00:12:26That's their opinion.
00:12:27I don't hold that opinion because there's a lot of verses that tell us.
00:12:32For example, in Matthew 5, verse 18,
00:12:47Now, you have to understand, in the Old Testament, you know, we have the Tanakh, right?
00:12:53The Tanakh, the Jewish people break their Bible into three parts.
00:12:58The Torah, the Nebaiyem, and the Ketuvan.
00:13:02Tanakh.
00:13:03That's Torah, Nebaiyem, Ketuvan.
00:13:06And the Old Testament, the law, is the books of Moses.
00:13:10The Germans refer to it that way.
00:13:12I get a lot of German students.
00:13:13And they'll often say, I'm reading out of 2nd Moses now, which is Exodus.
00:13:19And again, because they'll talk about the books of Moses, right?
00:13:23The law.
00:13:24So all the law is fulfilled.
00:13:25There's lots of things in the law that have not literally been fulfilled.
00:13:32But everything must be literally fulfilled.
00:13:36Again, if you look a bit further in Matthew 24, verse 55, he says,
00:13:42Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away.
00:13:46Now, I would say to you that there's a promise of heaven and earth passing away,
00:13:52melting with fervent heat.
00:13:532 Peter 3.
00:13:55I take that to be literal.
00:13:57These heavens and this earth are going to melt with fervent feet.
00:14:01I believe in the Big Bang.
00:14:04I just don't believe the Big Bang happened in the beginning.
00:14:07I think it's going to happen at the end.
00:14:09You see, because I believe God created everything in six literal days.
00:14:14The reason I believe that is I believe that's the view that science upholds,
00:14:20and I believe that's the view that the Bible upholds.
00:14:23Six literal days of creation.
00:14:27Otherwise, there's no way to come about it, okay?
00:14:29Now, again, I get to talk to students, and I'm sure I'm going to have lots of students this year
00:14:33that are going to want to argue that with me.
00:14:35And that's okay.
00:14:36I don't mind, because I can only stand on the authority of God's Word.
00:14:42And every jot and every tittle.
00:14:44That's the little accents over either the Hebrew or the Greek letters as they come forth here.
00:14:52And God has to bring it all about.
00:14:55Romans 11, 28 and 29.
00:14:58Again, concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes, but touching the election.
00:15:05They are, he says here, beloved for the Father's sakes, for the gifts and the callings of God are without
00:15:14repentance.
00:15:14Or, as many translations change it, without a change of mind.
00:15:18Metanoio, the word repentance means to change the mind.
00:15:23That's what the word literally means.
00:15:25And, again, when we look at these verses, we have to look at them in their context.
00:15:30God's promise is to Israel.
00:15:33Now, listen, if you want to hear more, in September, the PWMI conference is up in Preston.
00:15:39And there are three of us that are going to take on Romans 9, that's me, Romans 10, John Williams,
00:15:45and Stephen Borland, Romans 11.
00:15:47And every one of us are going to look at that in its consistently literal context to how God is
00:15:55speaking to Israel.
00:15:57It deals with Romans 9, what I will be doing, their past.
00:16:02Okay, Romans 10, Israel's present.
00:16:06And Romans 11, their future.
00:16:08And we understand here that God chose Abram when he was, and he tested Abram with his son Isaac.
00:16:18And Abram passed the test, right?
00:16:21And, again, the scriptures are very clear to us.
00:16:24In Genesis 15, that when Abraham believed God, his faith was accounted to him for righteousness.
00:16:32You see, there's always only ever been one means of salvation by grace through faith.
00:16:36And Abram came to the place that he believed the promises of God, and he was saved.
00:16:43He was saved.
00:16:44Just you as I get saved.
00:16:45And we can see here, point number two under this is very clearly that all the covenants of Israel must
00:16:54be fulfilled.
00:16:54Now, again, this is like opening up a big kettle of worms, some people would say.
00:17:00You see, now, I know, I understand, and I know where I came from in my history of what I
00:17:05used to believe.
00:17:06And where I've come to believing that the Bible must consistently be interpreted in a literal approach.
00:17:13And so when we come to this, you see, there's a theory called covenant theology.
00:17:19Now, I'm not here to thump covenant theology, but I can tell you in scripture that you can't find a
00:17:26covenant of works and a covenant of grace and a covenant of redemption ever mentioned in those words all throughout
00:17:33scripture.
00:17:33But I understand the whole system is based on that.
00:17:38What you can find are literal covenants.
00:17:41Covenants are agreements.
00:17:43God made an agreement with Abraham.
00:17:45But you'll note that the agreement, the covenant given to Abraham couldn't be fulfilled until he came to faith in
00:17:54Genesis 15.
00:17:55In Genesis 12, God said, this is what I'm going to do with you, Abram.
00:17:59But it isn't until he came to faith in God that actually Abram became Abraham.
00:18:07And until after Sarah's, Sarai's, laugh of unbelief, and she laughed in faith and God gave her laughter, right?
00:18:18Which is the name of her son in Hebrew, right?
00:18:21And Isaac means laughter.
00:18:23You see, her sorrows turn to joy.
00:18:26So again, because God is going to accomplish his will and he's going to do it very clearly.
00:18:33And the Abrahamic covenant actually draws us Gentiles.
00:18:37Now, I don't know, maybe someone's here of Jewish descent.
00:18:40I don't know.
00:18:40I'm not.
00:18:41I come, my dad used to say a long list of either Irish or Scottish thieves, but I don't know
00:18:47if that was true or not.
00:18:48But, you know, again, we understand that in you, Abraham was told, all the nations of the earth shall be
00:18:57blessed.
00:18:58And again, the gospel goes out, again, to the Jew, to the Gentile, to the church of God.
00:19:03Everyone who's saved today, right?
00:19:06But we don't join Israel.
00:19:08We don't proselytize.
00:19:09You know, we're not going to Jerusalem and trying to do sacrifices, right?
00:19:15We understand that if we walk in love, Ephesians 5, verse 2, as Christ loved us, that it's an offering
00:19:23to God as a sweet aroma.
00:19:25Just as the Jewish sacrifices were in Leviticus.
00:19:30And again, we see that there's a land's covenant.
00:19:33Now, again, in Deuteronomy, it states these are the words of the covenant which the Lord commanded Moses to make
00:19:39with the children of Israel in the lands of Moab beside the covenant.
00:19:45Which he made with them in Horeb.
00:19:47God has promised to Moses lands.
00:19:52And again, in other passages in scripture, that's from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates.
00:19:58Now, the Euphrates is in the news these days, right?
00:20:02All that's happening in Iraq and Iran, ancient Persia.
00:20:06And from the sea to the south, to the mountains to the north, there's never been a time when, even
00:20:13under Solomon, although some have tried to say that there were, some have tried to change the rivers.
00:20:19But if we're consistently literal, Israel has never held the land.
00:20:25As a matter of fact, what we see happening today is a biblical proportion.
00:20:30Why?
00:20:31Because God has said, in the last days, the people of Israel will be brought back into the land, but
00:20:39in unbelief.
00:20:41They will try to establish their own nation.
00:20:45They're going to have something, their own temple in Jerusalem.
00:20:49And you know what?
00:20:49Today, the Temple Mount Society is ready to do that.
00:20:54But we know one thing for sure.
00:20:57There's going to be something missing.
00:20:59You see, they can build their brazen altar.
00:21:02They can have a menorah.
00:21:03They already have it.
00:21:04They can wear the priesthood garments.
00:21:06But the Shekinah glory of the Lord won't be there.
00:21:10You see, the glory of the Lord was there in Ezekiel's day.
00:21:15And when the sin got so ripe in Israel, God removed, if you read the book of Ezekiel, you see
00:21:22that he removed his glory.
00:21:24And it went to the door.
00:21:26And then it went up on the Mount of Olives.
00:21:28And then it departed Israel.
00:21:30And it didn't return.
00:21:32Not under Zerubbabel's temple.
00:21:35And they still made offerings.
00:21:37Under Herod's temple, they still made offerings.
00:21:41But you know what was missing?
00:21:42The glory of among us.
00:21:45And we beheld his glory.
00:21:47The glory of the only begotten of the Father.
00:21:50Full of grace and truth.
00:21:52And then the glory returned to Israel.
00:21:55And that glory was seen on the Mount of Transfiguration.
00:21:57Jesus, with his three closest disciples, saw that glory that had been veiled.
00:22:03And they were saying, hey, let's build tabernacles.
00:22:05Let's have that last festival.
00:22:07The Feast of Tabernacles.
00:22:09But it wasn't the time.
00:22:11Because he had not yet given his life for sin.
00:22:16It's amazing that every jot and every tittle of the whole law must be fulfilled.
00:22:22You see, the end of the book of Ezekiel leaves us with the glory returning through the eastern gate.
00:22:28Now, isn't it the eastern gate?
00:22:30He bricked it up because no God, no king could ever go over the grave signs, the dead bodies.
00:22:38They would be unclean.
00:22:40But the Bible tells us when the Lord Jesus Christ comes back to establish his kingdom,
00:22:44there's going to be an earth plague that's going to divide that side of the Mount of Olives.
00:22:49And that earth is going to just move away so that the Lord Jesus can enter through the eastern gate.
00:22:55Now, you can't make this stuff up.
00:22:57It didn't happen in A.D. 70.
00:23:01Again, so that's what I would say to my pastor friends, you know, that would hold to amillennialism.
00:23:07You have a real hard time.
00:23:09Well, but that's all about the glory in us.
00:23:12No, that's a really hard way to allegorize scripture.
00:23:16Because we believe that all the Old Testament prophecies that spoke about the incarnation,
00:23:22about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, happened exactly the way he said they did.
00:23:28Well, why wouldn't the others about his second coming?
00:23:32Why wouldn't they happen?
00:23:33And I often, I love to ask this, we'll come to it in a little bit,
00:23:36because I love to ask one question.
00:23:38Do we all believe that the plagues of Egypt happened?
00:23:43We do, right?
00:23:44We all believe that.
00:23:45We actually all believe that God told him beforehand what was going to happen.
00:23:50In most of the plagues, Moses told him beforehand what was going to happen.
00:23:54And they all happened.
00:23:56You see, that's my argument for the whole Bible.
00:23:59Those things in the Old Testament, which haven't literally happened, they must literally happen,
00:24:06just as God said they would.
00:24:08Otherwise, God's word can't be trusted.
00:24:12You see, otherwise, his word can't be trusted.
00:24:15And we know that the land has never been held by them.
00:24:19We understand the Davidic covenant.
00:24:21And it says in Samuel, now listen, I know I've talked to a lot of people.
00:24:28I have conversations just about every year for this one.
00:24:322 Samuel 7, verse 12 and 13.
00:24:35And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers,
00:24:40I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of your vows,
00:24:46and I will establish his kingdom.
00:24:47He shall build a house for my name, and will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
00:24:54Listen, I've studied languages.
00:24:56I speak a number of languages.
00:24:58I'm losing it.
00:24:59I'm getting a bit old here.
00:25:00But the definition of forever in the Bible is forever.
00:25:06It's not that difficult.
00:25:07For all time.
00:25:09You see, again, forever.
00:25:11He's going to establish other passages.
00:25:14Talk about someone from the loins of David.
00:25:16Now, we understand who that is.
00:25:19That's the Lord Jesus Christ.
00:25:21And there has to be a king.
00:25:23Listen, David's throne is always spoken of on Mount Zion.
00:25:31It's always in Israel.
00:25:33It's not the right hand of the Father.
00:25:35Those are promises given.
00:25:3719 times, I think it is.
00:25:39Where's Jesus Christ right now?
00:25:40I ask my students this.
00:25:41Where's the Lord Jesus Christ right now?
00:25:43I know exactly where he is.
00:25:44Because 19 times in the New Testament, when he ascended up, right, he's seated at the right hand of the
00:25:51Father.
00:25:52He's making intercession for us.
00:25:54And when we don't know how to pray, he helps us.
00:25:57And the Spirit helps us to pray.
00:25:59You know, we don't know sometimes how we should pray.
00:26:02Sometimes we ask them this, to get things of our own selves, right, which are not his will.
00:26:08But if we can trust God, that's why we pray.
00:26:11When we pray, according to his will, we're told he hears us.
00:26:16God hears our prayers.
00:26:18But I want to pray, Lord, not as Jesus did.
00:26:21Not my will be done, but your will be done.
00:26:25You see, the Lord came to do the will of the Father.
00:26:28Father, we see again in the New Covenant.
00:26:32Now, again, I love to talk about the New Covenant.
00:26:35I believe today that the church receives benefits in Abraham of the New Covenant.
00:26:41We have the indwelling Holy Spirit.
00:26:43We have the Spirit of God that seals us until the day of redemption.
00:26:47You know, not until the day we stop believing.
00:26:49But his sealing is until that time he comes to take us to be with him.
00:26:55Until we're changed in the moment.
00:26:57In the downbeat of an eyebrow.
00:26:59When the last trumpet blasts for the church.
00:27:01You see, there's loads of trumpets used in the Old Testament for Israel.
00:27:06Israel had trumpets that were blown for sad occasions.
00:27:10Trumpets for war.
00:27:12The feast of trumpets was blown until the day of atonement.
00:27:16There's solemn feasts where they mourned for sin.
00:27:19Where they put on their sackcloth and ashes.
00:27:22But other festivals were joyous occasions.
00:27:25See, there's good trumpets and bad trumpets in the book of Revelation.
00:27:29There's seven trumpets, again, that are called woes.
00:27:34Ezekiel talks about those woes.
00:27:36Other prophets in the Old Testament talk about those woes.
00:27:41Those are the not so nice trumpets.
00:27:44But ours is a blessed hope and a glorious appearing of our great God and our Savior.
00:27:51It's with joy that we look to see him.
00:27:54And he says in Jeremiah 31, verse 31.
00:27:59Behold, the days come, saith the Lord.
00:28:02Then I will make a new covenant.
00:28:04Now, notice who he says here.
00:28:07With the church?
00:28:08No.
00:28:08With the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
00:28:12Now, can I just say to you, we know what happened in Israel, right?
00:28:16The kingdom divided.
00:28:18The northern kingdom became Israel.
00:28:21The basic ten northern tribes.
00:28:24And the southern kingdom became Judah.
00:28:27And the northern kingdom never had any good kings.
00:28:30They were taken away captives by the Assyrians.
00:28:32And God judged them.
00:28:34And God used the Assyrians, Sennacherib, and some of the other leaders of the Assyrians to judge Israel.
00:28:40Israel then took in and intermarried.
00:28:43And that's where we get Samaritans from.
00:28:45Which was a thing God had told them not to do.
00:28:50Not to be unequally yoked together.
00:28:52Which is the same thing that we have as believers in the church age.
00:28:56We shouldn't be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.
00:29:00The southern kingdom had a little bit of a reprieve.
00:29:04And again, some of the prophets that go along speak about when God had finished his time with the Assyrians.
00:29:10God allowed Nebuchadnezzar, the Babylonians, to judge the Assyrians.
00:29:15And then God turned his attention through Nebuchadnezzar and through his grandson and others, right, to bring on judgment.
00:29:24Because God is a faithful judge.
00:29:26You see, every job and every tittle.
00:29:29And it's amazing.
00:29:30You know, it's interesting.
00:29:31You know the Jewish people in the Tanakh?
00:29:33They do not put the book of Daniel in the Nebuchadnezzar.
00:29:39They put it in the Ketubim.
00:29:41So they don't put it in with the prophets.
00:29:43They don't believe Daniel's a prophet.
00:29:46They can't.
00:29:47Because if they made Daniel a prophet, instead of they put him in with Song of Solomon and Psalms and
00:29:54Proverbs, you know, even though we believe they're God's word and they're really pure.
00:29:59Daniel tells to the very day that the Lord would make his triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
00:30:07And he did that 483 years later after, right, a Medo-Persian emperor made a decree.
00:30:17Now, I can prove that all to you.
00:30:19I can prove it to the day using the 30-day calendar month years from the book of Daniel.
00:30:26To the day.
00:30:27And then we know Messiah will be cut off, but not for himself.
00:30:32And then we know there's still, that's 69 weeks.
00:30:36And it goes all the way up, 483 years.
00:30:40But there still is a week.
00:30:43Because, you see, the Bible leaves us, I believe, for time.
00:30:47The church gets the blessings of the new covenant.
00:30:50Every time we remember the Lord, we take communion, we break bread, we remember it, we benefit spiritually from that.
00:30:59But guess what?
00:31:00This covenant is given to Israel.
00:31:04But Israel has not accepted Yeshua, Jesus, as their Messiah.
00:31:12But Zechariah says it.
00:31:14Paul says it in Romans.
00:31:16They will look on him in whom they have pierced.
00:31:21And all Israel will be saved.
00:31:23How are they going to be saved?
00:31:24They're going to understand.
00:31:25It's going to come to them that Yeshua, Hamashiach, Jesus was the Messiah.
00:31:31Our family crucified him.
00:31:33Now, we recognize we're all guilty.
00:31:35Right?
00:31:36Unless we come to the place of understanding, as 1 Corinthians 15 says,
00:31:42He died for our sins, according to the scriptures.
00:31:47Right?
00:31:47The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ is all through the Old Testament.
00:31:50You go back to Genesis 3, 15.
00:31:52There's a promise of a deliverer.
00:31:54Someone that will crush the head of the serpent.
00:31:57You look at the Psalms.
00:31:58And the psalmist speaks about someone who will come.
00:32:03The sure mercies of David.
00:32:04You know, you look at Daniel chapter 9.
00:32:07And you see, Messiah shall be cut off.
00:32:09But not for himself.
00:32:10See, Jesus didn't die for his own sin.
00:32:13Because he who knew no sin became sin for us.
00:32:18But the nation of Israel, whom the covenant was given to,
00:32:22has not yet looked on their Messiah.
00:32:26And seen, as doubting Thomas did, the prince in his hands are in his side.
00:32:32But they will.
00:32:33They will.
00:32:34And this covenant will be fulfilled for them.
00:32:38When we look at our third point here.
00:32:42Again, all prophecy of scripture must be fulfilled.
00:32:47Daniel chapter 9 clearly says this.
00:32:50Now look, if you start out, the book of Daniel is amazing.
00:32:53I could spend days, I do spend days, going through Daniel.
00:32:57Hours and hours.
00:32:59Because again, it's written in a literary form.
00:33:01It's written as two types of Chaiism.
00:33:04One, the first part, is written to the Jewish people.
00:33:09Right?
00:33:10Or actually to the Gentiles.
00:33:11The second part is written to the Jewish people.
00:33:14The first part is written in Aramaic.
00:33:17Ancient Syrian.
00:33:18The second part is written in Hebrew.
00:33:21And the Chaiism of chapter 2.
00:33:23It parallels chapter 7.
00:33:26And chapter 3 parallels chapter 6.
00:33:29And chapter 4 parallels chapter 5.
00:33:32And you can see that kings see themselves as gold, silver, bronze, and iron.
00:33:40And then iron mixed with clay.
00:33:42But chapter 7 sees these kingdoms as wild beasts that will be destroyed.
00:33:49And a kingdom which will be established, which shall never end.
00:33:55Now again, this is very interesting, right?
00:33:57Because in the book of Daniel, it lists six reasons.
00:34:02Actually, I would say three and three.
00:34:04I can't get my fingers to bend.
00:34:06Three and three.
00:34:07Arthritis doesn't help as you get over, right?
00:34:09Three and three.
00:34:10But interesting, the first beginning of chapter 9, what is the language that God uses?
00:34:17The sin.
00:34:18Daniel, as he's praying, our sin.
00:34:20We have sinned.
00:34:22We have sinned.
00:34:23Your people have sinned.
00:34:25And then he continues in the beginning of chapter 9.
00:34:28Righteousness belongs to you.
00:34:30And this is exactly what these points make in Daniel.
00:34:34In chapter 9, he says,
00:34:3670 weeks are literally, 77s are determined.
00:34:4277s are determined.
00:34:44He says, upon your people, your holy city.
00:34:49He says, to finish the transgression.
00:34:52He says, to make an end of sins.
00:34:55And to make reconciliation for iniquity.
00:34:58That's three.
00:34:59To bring in everlasting righteousness.
00:35:02Seal out vision and prophecy.
00:35:04And to anoint the most holy.
00:35:07Now, look, I'll just pop these down here.
00:35:11You know, it's interesting.
00:35:12All through the Old Testament in Hebrew.
00:35:15And all through the New Testament in Greek.
00:35:18There's these two things that are talked about.
00:35:21There's sin.
00:35:23In Greek, we say, hey, martia.
00:35:25Missing the mark.
00:35:26Okay.
00:35:27And again, trespass.
00:35:29Peripatoma.
00:35:31Right?
00:35:31Every sin.
00:35:32You break a standard.
00:35:34There's a penalty.
00:35:36So sin is God's standard.
00:35:39And peripatoma, trespass, is breaking the standard.
00:35:42Which requires payment.
00:35:46And then iniquity is how horrible sin and trespass are.
00:35:51In the Old Testament, that's the principle.
00:35:53You get sin, trespass, and iniquity.
00:35:57But you see, the other side of it is.
00:35:59God wants to deal with the sin of Israel.
00:36:02How do we know that?
00:36:04Seventy weeks are determined for what?
00:36:06Your holy people.
00:36:08Your holy city.
00:36:10Now, look.
00:36:12Every jot and every tittle of the whole wall.
00:36:14Daniel could only understand this to be the nation of Israel.
00:36:19Which God promised in the beginning books of the Bible.
00:36:23In the first two books of Moses, Genesis and Exodus.
00:36:26That if they sinned, he would chasten them.
00:36:30But Leviticus says he'll do it seven times.
00:36:34And seven times more.
00:36:36And still seven times more.
00:36:38So the seventy-sevens becomes very clear for dealing with Israel.
00:36:43You know, it's going to be interesting.
00:36:45When you look at the book of the Revelation, you'll never understand it.
00:36:48If you don't understand, the seven is the key to understanding it.
00:36:53Because it's addressing, it's written to the church.
00:36:56Why?
00:36:57We will rule and reign with him in his kingdom.
00:37:00But it's about God fulfilling every jot and every tittle of the whole wall.
00:37:07And again, those sevens are going to come about because God's got to bring in the righteousness of the ages.
00:37:13He's got to seal up or finish up all vision and all prophecy.
00:37:17And he's got to anoint the most holy.
00:37:22You see, again, this is Ezekiel 40 to 48.
00:37:25I wish we had time.
00:37:26Sometimes I do talks on Ezekiel.
00:37:29But God's purpose is very clear, right?
00:37:33And again, we see here that all the Bible and all authority must be brought under the Lord Jesus Christ.
00:37:41Now, here's my argument for postmillennialism and amillennialism.
00:37:46For amillennialism, if this is the kingdom now, God's word is not true.
00:37:53Because the promises that we see in his kingdom are very clear of what that kingdom will look like.
00:38:03Revelation 19, he says,
00:38:05Hallelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reigns.
00:38:10If Christ is reigning in his kingdom now, and that's not what we see in the epistles.
00:38:16Or even the beginning of the revelation, now Christ is ministering to the church.
00:38:22The church that began at Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Spirit.
00:38:27And I would argue that when the restrainer is taken away, right?
00:38:32Then again, God's attention is going to turn again to the nation of Israel.
00:38:38For why?
00:38:39To fulfill all vision and prophecy.
00:38:42All the Old Testament.
00:38:43You see, it says in Isaiah, in Isaiah 6.
00:38:48For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon his
00:38:54shoulders.
00:38:54And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
00:39:00Of the increase of the increase of his government and peace, there will be no end.
00:39:06Upon the throne of David and over his kingdom to order and establish it with judgment and justice from that
00:39:15time forward.
00:39:17Now again, Christ is not in Jerusalem.
00:39:20He's not sitting on David's throne.
00:39:23There's not universal peace, right?
00:39:25Do you watch the BBC, the Bad Broadcasting Network, or CNN, the Communist Network News?
00:39:32Right?
00:39:32And again, I can go on.
00:39:33I've got loads of them.
00:39:34You know, we've got them in the States, right?
00:39:37Again, I used to say, in my church, our sending church is missionaries in the States.
00:39:42We have some solicitors and lawyers.
00:39:44And I would tell all my, you know, the only good solicitor.
00:39:48The thing I can say about newsreaders is I can use those same jokes.
00:39:51You know, a good start is if they're six feet under because, unfortunately, they don't tell the truth.
00:39:58You see, his government, there's going to be worldwide peace.
00:40:02Why?
00:40:03He's going to rule with a rod of iron.
00:40:06Again, he says, the earth, he's going to rule with a rod of iron.
00:40:11Now again, Isaiah 11, 4 and 5, but with righteousness, he will judge the poor.
00:40:16He will decide with equity for the meek on the earth.
00:40:19He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips, he shall
00:40:24slay the wicked.
00:40:26Righteousness shall be the belt of his loins, and faithfulness the belt of his waist.
00:40:31I literally believe one day the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back to the earth.
00:40:38One day he's going to end the millennial reign of Christ.
00:40:41He's going to have his throne on David's throne in Jerusalem.
00:40:47And he's not going to accept sin at all.
00:40:51He's going to strike the earth with the rod of his mouth.
00:40:55He's going to bring justice and righteousness.
00:40:58And if I'm living in a land of perfect peace, please help me.
00:41:03Take me out of here.
00:41:04Because this, you know, you know, everything, you know, started going, you know, my hair fell out, and then it
00:41:12slid down to my chin.
00:41:13And then, you know, and my teeth and everything else, right?
00:41:17It all goes.
00:41:18Right?
00:41:19This is not the kingdom where everything is righteous and just and holy.
00:41:25And it's not here yet.
00:41:27And if it is, it's not good.
00:41:31He will rule.
00:41:33Revelation says it in chapter 2.
00:41:35He will rule them with a rod of iron.
00:41:37He's quoting from Isaiah.
00:41:39He's speaking to one of the churches of the Revelation.
00:41:43They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels, as I also have received from my father.
00:41:51Again, you see, when the Lord comes, I believe Revelation 19 addresses that for us.
00:41:58In Revelation 19, it tells us very clearly, verse 15.
00:42:04Now out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, and with it he shall strike the nations.
00:42:09He himself will rule them with a rod of iron.
00:42:12He himself treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of the Almighty God.
00:42:17All you have to do is read Zechariah.
00:42:19All you have to do is read Isaiah.
00:42:22Now these are promises of a final battle at the valley of Megiddo, the valley of Megiddo, called Armageddon.
00:42:30It's right there in Israel today.
00:42:32And one day, the nation of Israel is going to appear to be without any help at all,
00:42:38when the Lord Jesus Christ is going to come from heaven, with the armies of heaven.
00:42:44And he's going to bring his kingdom.
00:42:48He's going to strike those who would seek to annihilate his elect servant.
00:42:55The Bible says very clearly that God says, I didn't choose you because you were the largest of all peoples.
00:43:03Now again, what was the choice of God there?
00:43:05It wasn't justification.
00:43:07His election wasn't to choose them for salvation.
00:43:10It was choosing the nation of Israel was chosen to be the vessel to display his glory amongst the nations,
00:43:17the Gentiles.
00:43:19But they were an utter failure.
00:43:22And again, even today, this people group that moves back into the land of Israel, God has told us it's
00:43:29going to happen.
00:43:30But they're going to be gathered in unbelief.
00:43:32They can talk big words.
00:43:34They can build their temple.
00:43:36But until the Lord Jesus Christ comes, until they face near annihilation,
00:43:42which is taught both in the Old and in the New Testament, it isn't going to happen.
00:43:49Just for a minute, and this won't take long.
00:43:52These other points won't take long.
00:43:54What does the kingdom look like?
00:43:56What's the nature of the kingdom?
00:43:59Again, we see things about Genesis.
00:44:03We believe when we look at Genesis before the flood, there was animal harmony.
00:44:08Right?
00:44:09Again, there was all kinds of harmony that took place.
00:44:13And again, God had to judge them.
00:44:15God had to judge them a second time at the Tower of Babel.
00:44:19Right?
00:44:19Again, because God had told them to scatter, and it says they did.
00:44:24But then suddenly they came back to the land of Babylon.
00:44:29And in the days of Peleg, Peleg means division.
00:44:33Right?
00:44:33And again, he divided them again.
00:44:36He confounded their languages.
00:44:37I love science.
00:44:38I have a son that's a scientist.
00:44:40Okay?
00:44:41And again, he studied science at university.
00:44:44And again, it's quite hard for him sometimes being a Christian,
00:44:48because people believe science.
00:44:50You know the Bible and science has absolutely no contradictions.
00:44:56Okay?
00:44:57The Bible and scientists have a lot.
00:44:59Because they're human beings that make things up.
00:45:04But again, empirical science, everything with science can be proven by testing it.
00:45:10And again, we can test things like the age of the earth.
00:45:14We can test things.
00:45:16Language is an amazing thing.
00:45:17And again, I work for a missionary organization that specializes in learning and translating languages.
00:45:24And again, there are languages that are completely distinct, that have no similarities at all.
00:45:31Well, my language that I learned has 36 noun classes.
00:45:34Now, most of us know a little bit about French and Spanish.
00:45:37You know, masculine and feminine.
00:45:40Banuk has 36 noun classes.
00:45:42I can't even begin to explain it to you, because it's very complex.
00:45:45But then there are languages that are easy, called Pidgin.
00:45:50You know, very easy to understand from Papua New Guinea and Malaysian Pidgin.
00:45:54You know, these are easier languages to learn.
00:45:57But God is the one, the confounded languages.
00:46:01And God is the one that knows all language.
00:46:05And so these are the points.
00:46:07I just want to look at each one just for a minute.
00:46:10The Genesis curse.
00:46:11Again, in Isaiah chapter 11, the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb.
00:46:16The leopard shall lie with the young goat.
00:46:18The calf and the young lion and the fatling together.
00:46:22And a little child shall lead them.
00:46:24The cow and the bear shall graze.
00:46:26Their young ones shall lie down together.
00:46:28I might have the wrong reference here.
00:46:30But anyway, the nursing child shall lay by the cobra's hole.
00:46:35Now, I'm not going to read all this.
00:46:37But I would assume we all believe the Genesis account.
00:46:41I would assume we all believe until we come up to Genesis 8, 9, to the flood.
00:46:46That there was harmony.
00:46:48That it was only after the flood that suddenly there became this division between the animal kingdom and human beings.
00:46:56John Mackay is a Christian scientist.
00:46:59And he has some great information about that.
00:47:02It says, the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord.
00:47:08And it shall cover even the seas.
00:47:11Isaiah 65, verse 25 says, and the wolf and the lamb shall feed.
00:47:18They shall seek together and they shall be as a serpent's food.
00:47:23They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountains, says the Lord.
00:47:27Now, look, I always say this.
00:47:29I've lived.
00:47:30You guys know I was a missionary, right?
00:47:32I've lived in the world.
00:47:33I've lived in the two top places in the world where there's more poisonous snakes and poisonous animals than anywhere
00:47:41in the world.
00:47:42So, Senegal, per capita, I don't even want to tell you, I hope you don't offend anybody, how many cobras
00:47:49I've done in.
00:47:50How many mambas I've done in, black and green.
00:47:53They were everywhere.
00:47:54Scorpions, everywhere.
00:47:57But I've also lived in Orlando, Florida.
00:48:01Did you know that Florida has the highest per capita snakes?
00:48:06Now, there's so many human beings that go around, you don't see them because they hide.
00:48:11But I can tell you, everybody wants to go to Florida for their holiday.
00:48:15Look it up.
00:48:16Don't just believe me.
00:48:17Google it.
00:48:18How many snakes?
00:48:19Now, particularly down in the Everglades.
00:48:21And I've been down to some of those places.
00:48:24And I've been to Lake Okeechoge.
00:48:25And I mean, full of snakes.
00:48:27But everybody wants to go there for their holiday.
00:48:29Lots of poisonous snakes, okay?
00:48:31But again, God is in control.
00:48:35You know, it tells us here that the Lord says that he's going to heal the deformed.
00:48:41Now, I don't know about you, but I've had major surgeries.
00:48:44I've been close to death three times.
00:48:46I've been told three different times, I may not pull through this.
00:48:51Now, God in his grace still has me around.
00:48:54God in his grace still has me around here.
00:48:58But it says in Isaiah 29, verse 17,
00:49:01Is it not yet a little while till Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field?
00:49:07And the fruitful field shall be esteemed.
00:49:10And that day the deaths shall hear the words on the hook.
00:49:13Wouldn't that be great?
00:49:14I wear hearing aids.
00:49:16And the eyes of the blind shall see in obscurity out of the darkness.
00:49:21The humble also shall increase their joy to the Lord.
00:49:24And the poor amongst men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
00:49:29Now, has this happened?
00:49:31Have the deformed been healed?
00:49:35You see, in that integral time, the Lord is going to do this.
00:49:40You see, it speaks about a time when illness will be healed.
00:49:45Now, this is a kingdom promise.
00:49:47And the inhabitants shall not say, I am sick.
00:49:50The people who dwell in the land will be forgiven their iniquity and healed.
00:49:56The life standard.
00:49:58It talks about in Isaiah 65, and I won't read the verses.
00:50:02It says a child of a hundred.
00:50:05Now, we understand from Revelation, the kingdom of the Lord, the millennial reign of Christ,
00:50:11is, I believe, six times.
00:50:13It says that in Revelation 20 is a thousand years.
00:50:16That doesn't stop the kingdom of God.
00:50:18Now, the nature of the kingdom carries on through eternity with this heavens and this earth melt with fervent heat.
00:50:27We see in the kingdom, and I'll just flip these down here.
00:50:32Come, behold the works of the Lord.
00:50:35What desolations have been made in the earth?
00:50:38He maketh wars to cease unto the ends of the earth.
00:50:42He breaks the bow.
00:50:44He cuts the spear asunder.
00:50:46He burns the chariots in the earth.
00:50:51It says truth shall avail, and mercy shall be the throne that is established, and he shall sit upon it.
00:51:00Truth shall be the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment and hastening righteousness.
00:51:06He speaks of joy.
00:51:09In Isaiah, he talks about the increase of joy, the joy before thee, according to the joy of the harvest,
00:51:17and men shall rejoice when they divide the spoils.
00:51:20Now, did that happen in the land of Israel?
00:51:24You see, these are promises of his kingdom.
00:51:28He talks about holiness shall come to pass that what's left in Zion and that what remains in Jerusalem shall
00:51:39be called holy.
00:51:41Now, this is a promise of Zechariah.
00:51:44It's a promise of Isaiah.
00:51:46That holiness is going to rule.
00:51:48If this is what's happening now, why is there so thievery?
00:51:53Why are politicians so corrupt?
00:51:56Which one can we trust?
00:51:57From which country?
00:52:00You see, in his kingdom, when Christ is ruling, these things must happen.
00:52:07Why?
00:52:07Every jot and every tittle of the whole law must be fulfilled.
00:52:15Listen, worship of God is going to center in Jerusalem.
00:52:22And again, these are the promises, I believe, which we see.
00:52:28Isaiah 2, and it shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord's house shall
00:52:33be established on the top of the mountains,
00:52:35and he shall be exalted above the hills, and all the nations shall flow into it.
00:52:41Now, notice these are Gentiles.
00:52:44You see, the Gentiles are going to come to worship.
00:52:47That's Ezekiel 40.
00:52:48You know, Ezekiel 40 to 48 addresses there are priests of Israel, but also Gentile priests.
00:52:57You see, because God wants all to worship.
00:53:02Now, we understand in the church age today, we're a distinct thing.
00:53:06We're Jew and Gentile are one in the body of Christ.
00:53:11We're accepted in the beloved.
00:53:14We understand, again, that Christ is going to rule, as Revelation 19 says.
00:53:21We've already read those verses.
00:53:22Christ is going to be a king on David's throne.
00:53:27These are all truths that are established all through Scripture.
00:53:31He will rule them with a rod of iron.
00:53:33Luke chapter 1, verse 32.
00:53:36He shall be great, and he shall be called the son of the highest.
00:53:39And the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father, David.
00:53:44That's not the right hand of the father in heaven.
00:53:48That would be allegorizing.
00:53:50That's what all millennialism does.
00:53:52And I would even say what post-millennialism does.
00:53:56It has to allegorize because it can't find a literal meaning.
00:54:01We see here, I would love to talk about Ezekiel's tent law.
00:54:06Just say this.
00:54:07People get really hung up.
00:54:09Why are there sacrifices in the millennial reign of Christ?
00:54:13It's really easy.
00:54:15The book of Leviticus starts out with what?
00:54:18Sin and trespass offerings?
00:54:20Never does it.
00:54:21It starts out with burnt offerings, which are worship, peace offerings, which are worship, and grain offerings, which are worship.
00:54:34Then it says, if someone does an unintentional sin offering or trespass offering, they have to cleanse it.
00:54:43And afterwards, they will do, depending upon whether it's a sin or a trespass, a burnt offering or a peace
00:54:50offering, why, to renew fellowship.
00:54:53God starts the book of Leviticus with fellowship and worship.
00:54:58Why are there offerings in the millennial kingdom?
00:55:02They're not for sin.
00:55:04They're not found there.
00:55:06There's no day of atonement in Ezekiel's temple.
00:55:09It's not mentioned.
00:55:11Why?
00:55:11He died for sin once for all.
00:55:15There remaineth, therefore, no more sacrifice for sin.
00:55:18No more atonement.
00:55:19But there is worship.
00:55:22And again, the cleansing sacrifices are very interesting.
00:55:27There's a new priesthood.
00:55:29There's a new temple.
00:55:32Again, and it's completely different.
00:55:34You know, it's interesting.
00:55:35There's no ark.
00:55:36There's no veil.
00:55:37There's no lampstand.
00:55:39There's no showbread.
00:55:40Why?
00:55:41He's the bread of life.
00:55:43He's the light of the world.
00:55:44There's no ark of the covenant with the Shekinah Lord.
00:55:47Why?
00:55:48Because Christ is the king.
00:55:49These are not mentioned in Ezekiel's temple.
00:55:52Don't take my word for it.
00:55:53Read the scholarly work of Arnold Frucht & Baum.
00:55:55So clearly brings these things out, right?
00:55:59But there still is worship.
00:56:02Just like we worship the Lord today, Ephesians 5.
00:56:06We walk in love as Christ loved us and gave himself as an offering and a sacrifice to God as
00:56:13a sweet aroma.
00:56:13Every time we serve, we worship.
00:56:18Did you know, worship, I'm sorry, I don't want to get in trouble.
00:56:22I get in trouble with young people for this, is not singing.
00:56:26Worship is service, right?
00:56:29Worship is service.
00:56:30And this is an important part of what we see here.
00:56:34An important part of what we see here.
00:56:36Now, I'm not going to stop and take any much time here on these, but Satan is going to be
00:56:43locked away.
00:56:44You know, I grew up in the South of the States.
00:56:46When I was a little boy in the States, before I became a believer, I was taught this thing.
00:56:50You know, Timmy, don't worry about it.
00:56:53The devil made you do it.
00:56:55Now, that is so unbiblical.
00:56:57The devil can't make you do anything.
00:57:01Every man sins, James tells us, when he's drawn away by his own lust and enticed.
00:57:07And sin takes a hold of it.
00:57:09Who can lay a charge against God's elect?
00:57:11If God is for us, who or what can be against us?
00:57:15What was he persuaded of?
00:57:17Nothing could separate it.
00:57:20We understand if we need difficulty in trials, ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and doesn't hold
00:57:27back.
00:57:28I was told, you know, the devil made you do it.
00:57:30The devil can't make you do it.
00:57:32Sin is a choice.
00:57:34Sin is a choice.
00:57:36And we understand this as we come up here.
00:57:40There's a couple of little points I'm going to make at the end here.
00:57:42But as we come up to this, that Satan is locked away.
00:57:46He's locked away for a thousand years.
00:57:49Okay.
00:57:50The demons are held.
00:57:52Revelation 18 makes it very clear that Jeremiah is going to be fulfilled.
00:57:57No more shepherds will ever be in the land of Persia.
00:58:01They're not going to be there anymore.
00:58:03They are there now today.
00:58:05So that hasn't been fulfilled.
00:58:07But they're there today because the demons are going to be locked away there.
00:58:13So again, that has to literally happen.
00:58:16So the devil will have no sway during the kingdom.
00:58:22The kingdom inhabitants won't be able to say, the devil made me do it.
00:58:28You see, the Old Testament tells us that the Gentiles can bring their offerings to God.
00:58:35Zechariah says the Gentiles will bring their offerings to God.
00:58:39In Jerusalem, if they do not bring their offerings, he will withhold rain from them.
00:58:45See, there will be a cost to not choosing to worship or follow the Lord, even during his kingdom.
00:58:52Because there are human beings on the earth.
00:58:55You see, even if you come to the other rapture views, there's problems with people who would say they're pre
00:59:01-millennialists,
00:59:02but don't hold to a pre-tribulational rapture.
00:59:06Because they then begin to allegorize scripture.
00:59:10See, post-tribulationalists that believe the Lord's going to come back at the end,
00:59:14they have no human beings on the earth to inhabit the kingdom, to have children, to be able to sin.
00:59:21Because if we're all resurrected, no one can sin.
00:59:25But there's going to be human beings on the earth that can choose to sin.
00:59:31This is my favorite.
00:59:33Again, I said this to you before.
00:59:35If you look at the plagues in Egypt, I get to teach Exodus.
00:59:39I'm already prepping.
00:59:40Well, I'm prepping for, I'm already prepped for Genesis.
00:59:42I haven't started prepping for Exodus yet, because I've got a while to teach through Genesis.
00:59:47But listen, we believe before the plagues happened, God told Moses what was going to happen.
00:59:53He told him to go in and to say to Pharaoh what was going to happen.
00:59:58And you know, the plagues happened in a series of three.
01:00:02Actually, they were two in one.
01:00:05Okay, Aaron used his staff.
01:00:07And the first plagues were very inconvenient.
01:00:11Water to blood, frogs, and then biting insects.
01:00:14And then the next three, they were a little bit more serious.
01:00:18Swarms of flies, disease, and boils.
01:00:20And then the next three became pretty frightening.
01:00:26Hailstones, locusts, and darkness.
01:00:28So horrible that you could feel it.
01:00:30And then finally, the death of the firstborn.
01:00:33And again, these plagues happened.
01:00:35And God said they were going to happen beforehand.
01:00:38And they happened in two in one.
01:00:39There was a warning, a warning for the first two in each series.
01:00:43I don't know what order.
01:00:45And they started out, and they got more serious.
01:00:49You know, when you look at Bible prophecy, and you see this progression, I wish I had time to go
01:00:56into this.
01:00:57But if you see with Exodus, you see God's judgment coming, you can see the same thing happening in the
01:01:04book of Daniel chapter 9.
01:01:06You can see a covenant is made with many for a week.
01:01:10In the middle of the week, there's an abomination of desolation.
01:01:13And Israel finds herself under serious turmoil.
01:01:17And then it ends with the war of desolations.
01:01:21And then his kingdom is established.
01:01:23Which chapter 2 and chapter 7 says that.
01:01:26A kingdom which will never end.
01:01:28You know, the same thing happens in Matthew.
01:01:31In Matthew 24, you see the beginning of sorrows.
01:01:35Then Jesus says in the middle, when you see what Daniel the prophet has spoken of happening in the holy
01:01:40place.
01:01:41The abomination of desolation.
01:01:43And then when you look at the end, it ends with wars that devastate the earth.
01:01:48And the coming of the Son of Man.
01:01:50You see, there's a progression in God's judgment.
01:01:52You know, the book of the Revelation is written exactly the same way.
01:01:57Matter of fact, I can prove it to you.
01:02:00You know, the book of the Revelation happens in a series.
01:02:03Not two and ones, but fours and threes.
01:02:06And when you look at the seals, they're divided into the four horsemen of the apocalypse and the last three
01:02:12seals.
01:02:13They strike a quarter of the earth.
01:02:16And then the trumpets come.
01:02:18And the trumpets happen in a likewise manner.
01:02:22The trumpets, there's the first four and three.
01:02:25And they strike a third of the earth.
01:02:27And then the last final bowls of God's wrath poured out.
01:02:31Our brother prayed for us earlier tonight.
01:02:34He took our wrath.
01:02:36The church doesn't go through the wrath of God ever.
01:02:39He took our wrath upon himself.
01:02:42You see, because the church is going to rule and reign with him in his kingdom.
01:02:46And as a matter of fact, you see a very similar way that actually in the book of the Revelation,
01:02:52in between each of the sixes and ones, there's a pause.
01:02:59Because God is a clear communicator where he looks back to the beginning before everything begins.
01:03:06And then he looks to the end.
01:03:08And I've sort of marked this out a little bit.
01:03:11But that happens with the seals.
01:03:13It happens with the trumpets.
01:03:15And it happens with the bowls.
01:03:18See, God is not the author of confusion.
01:03:22And God's judgment comes exactly the same way.
01:03:27God is consistent always.
01:03:31His word is always clear.
01:03:33Yes, he uses allegory.
01:03:35I love to have these discussions with students.
01:03:37And they'll say, oh, it's all allegory.
01:03:39And I'll say, well, look.
01:03:42Do you believe Jesus was the bread of life?
01:03:44No, of course I do.
01:03:46So you believe he was a loaf of bread?
01:03:49Do you believe he was?
01:03:51You know, we could go through.
01:03:53Do you look and illustrate?
01:03:54Do you believe you're a cultivatable field?
01:03:57No, we understand that's allegory.
01:04:00But it has a real meaning.
01:04:03Just like the dragon does in Revelation.
01:04:06You see, again, I find it really funny that when we come to the final book of the Bible,
01:04:10the book that puts together all visions and prophecies,
01:04:14all the Old Testament and all the New Testament,
01:04:17and it puts it together in one book.
01:04:21God is showing us that he's got it in control.
01:04:24You know, I'm not going to look at that.
01:04:26Sorry.
01:04:27I was going to look at this one.
01:04:29You see, here's Tim LaHaye's book in his book.
01:04:33It's a very good book.
01:04:35And he's got laid out what's going to happen during the millennial reign of Christ.
01:04:41Yes, it's a thousand years.
01:04:43It's a thousand years on the earth.
01:04:45But the nature of the kingdom is going to carry on through eternity with a new heavens,
01:04:52a new earth.
01:04:53And, you know, it's interesting in Revelation 21 and 22, when it says new,
01:04:57it uses the Greek word kinos.
01:05:00He could have used the Greek word nuos, which just means fixed up.
01:05:06The millennial kingdom is a fixed up heavens and earth where God restores to this earth.
01:05:13But ultimately, as 2 Peter 3 says, this earth, we're going to read that in just a second,
01:05:19just to finish things off here.
01:05:21It's amazing that our final point that's sort of here is all of God's word has to literally
01:05:28be fulfilled.
01:05:30All the covenants of Israel have to be literally fulfilled.
01:05:37All the prophecies of scripture have to be literally fulfilled.
01:05:43And again, all rule and all authority must be brought under the Lord Jesus Christ.
01:05:49Two verses to end with.
01:05:50It says here, but each in his own order, Christ, the firstfruits afterwards, those who are Christ
01:05:58at his coming.
01:06:00Then comes the end when he delivers the kingdom to God, the father.
01:06:05When he says he puts an end to all rule and all authority and all power, for he must reign
01:06:14till he has put all his enemies under his feet.
01:06:19The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
01:06:22Now again, Revelation 20 makes it very clear that finally, after the millennial reign of Christ,
01:06:28when the Lord Jesus Christ is ruled and reigned, that he's going to judge Hades.
01:06:36He's going to judge all those that rebel at the end of the millennium.
01:06:40He's going to judge all the unbelievers that have died.
01:06:44And not the beam of seed of Christ where we're rewarded for the things done in the body.
01:06:48But he's going to judge the lost and books will be opened and the book of life and everyone
01:06:57will be judged according to his work.
01:06:59You see, I witness to people and people say to me, I just want to be judged according to
01:07:03what I've done.
01:07:05You will be.
01:07:05I tell him, the Bible says you want to take part in the first resurrection and the final,
01:07:11the final verse here is in 2 Peter, but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in
01:07:18the
01:07:18night in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise.
01:07:23You see the end of the day of Jehovah, the day of the Lord, the end of that is it's
01:07:28going
01:07:28to melt with fervent heat, both the earth and all its works.
01:07:33And it says that it will be burned up.
01:07:37Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you
01:07:45to be in holy conduct and godliness looking for and hastening the coming of the day of
01:07:51God?
01:07:52Now he introduces another day.
01:07:54The day of the Lord is his kingdom and the end of the tribulation and his judgment and
01:07:59then his kingdom.
01:08:00But the day of God is the eternal state.
01:08:03And the challenge to us is, how should we live?
01:08:07Because of these things, what manner of persons should we to be?
01:08:12The elements will melt with fervent heat.
01:08:15We, according to his promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness
01:08:23dwells.
01:08:24Now, now look, he uses the word kinos, new heavens and new earth, brand new.
01:08:31That's what the word means in the Greek.
01:08:33Not this heavens and this earth, which will have his kingdom, but he will rule.
01:08:40Well, I know we've gone on there for a bit and I thank you.
01:08:44And if at any time you guys want to ask any questions, you feel free to let me know.
01:08:51You have my contact details there or my wife and we'll happily do that with you.
01:08:56I will enter these gates with thanksgiving in my heart.
01:09:02I will enter these homes with praise.
01:09:07I will say this is the day that the Lord has made.
01:09:31I will enter these gates with thanksgiving in my heart.
01:09:42And the answer these calls with praise.
01:09:47I will say this is the day that the Lord has made.
01:09:53I will do this for he has made me back.
01:09:57He has made me back, he has made me back.
01:10:02I will do this for he has made me back.
01:10:08He has made me proud, he has made me proud, and we're with us once he has made me proud.
