00:00:27So I want to welcome you this evening.
00:00:30And thank you for the warm welcome that I received, one of the few places that I repeatedly go where
00:00:35I get a warm welcome, so I enjoy coming here.
00:00:38And today I'm going to be opening up the word, hopefully, and we're going to be looking at God's judgments
00:00:44on the earth during the period in the end times known as the tribulation.
00:00:48It's a subject that I've never studied before, so thank you for giving me this opportunity to delve into this
00:00:55and learn something about it.
00:00:56But from what I can see, it's a subject that's quite neglected, even by theologians who are interested in eschatology,
00:01:03even those who are interested in the end times and specialize in that.
00:01:07Now, they tend to treat this as a rather dull list of judgments, and all they tend to do in
00:01:12their works is relist them.
00:01:15But having studied them, I can see that there's a lot more to them than that, and that they have
00:01:20real significance, and that we can gain a lot from understanding that.
00:01:26And I hope that you will think that they're not just a dull list by the time I've finished talking
00:01:30to you tonight.
00:01:31I'm going to do some right Bible readings now.
00:01:33Our first reading, which is relevant to the theme I'm speaking on, is from Isaiah chapter 13, verses 9 to
00:01:4011.
00:02:08And I will punish the world for their evil.
00:02:11And the wicked for their iniquity.
00:02:13And I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
00:02:21And our next reading is from the book of Daniel, chapter 12, verse 1, and then 5 and 7.
00:02:31And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people.
00:02:39And there shall be a time of terrible trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to
00:02:46the same time.
00:02:47And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
00:02:55And verses 5 to 7.
00:02:58Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the
00:03:05river, and on the other side of the bank of the river.
00:03:08And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, how long shall
00:03:14it be to the end of these wonders?
00:03:16And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up
00:03:22his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him who liveth forever, that it shall be
00:03:29for a time, times, and half a time.
00:03:32And when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of these holy people, all these things shall be finished.
00:03:39Today we're going to look at a period at the end of the age known as the tribulation, and specifically,
00:03:46we're going to look at the judgments that God is going to pour out on the earth at that time.
00:03:55I'm just skipping over some of these early slides.
00:03:58I put those in for when I'm speaking to people who don't know much about prophecy, but you're all well
00:04:04steeped in that subject.
00:04:05So I don't need to trifle with your intelligence and explain the simplicities.
00:04:10So I'll start here.
00:04:13This period of time is known as the tribulation, the time of wrath, and up to 21 other titles, all
00:04:20expressing pretty much the same sentiments.
00:04:22Because at that time, earth will be troubled by a number of factors.
00:04:30And I've listed them here on the slide.
00:04:32And this is global, and it will include Israel.
00:04:35Man's wicked behaviour.
00:04:37We're told that at the end, man's wickedness will have reached its peak, and there will be terrible times, according
00:04:43to the Apostle Paul.
00:04:45Wars, crime, social disorder, immorality, economic collapse, and so on.
00:04:52There will be the activities of the Antichrist, his direct oppression within his domain, assuming that his domain doesn't encompass
00:05:00the whole world.
00:05:00But also his influence outside of it.
00:05:04There will be the work of the two witnesses, who will be operating out of Jerusalem, probably in the first
00:05:10half of the tribulation.
00:05:12They will be given supernatural power to trouble the nations as they see fit.
00:05:16And this will include bringing down fire from heaven, causing droughts, and withholding rain, and so on.
00:05:24But the thing that most signifies the suffering, and is the greatest cause of the suffering of the people who
00:05:30will live at that time, is God's wrath being poured out on the nations.
00:05:36And these have been, there are 21 different judgments that God has got to administer to the world.
00:05:43And these have been collected together, in Scripture, into septects, groups of seven, which are labelled in the Scriptures, the
00:05:52seals, the trumpets, and the bowls.
00:05:57And they are presented in Scripture in all sorts of places, both in the Old Testament, there are some descriptions
00:06:03of these events that are going to take place, and the outcomes of these two.
00:06:08But most clearly, and in most detail, in the book of Revelation, the seals in Revelation 6-7, trumpets in
00:06:158-9, and the bowls in verse 16.
00:06:18And they're presented in that order, seals, trumpets, bowls, suggesting some kind of sequence there in that order.
00:06:25But there's other material interspersed with them, and between these sections.
00:06:29And it's quite easy to think that this other material, descriptions of what's going on in heaven and on earth,
00:06:38forms part of that sequence as well, but it doesn't.
00:06:41These are what theologians sometimes call parenthical narrative.
00:06:47Parenthical in parentheses, bracketed if you like, because they don't form necessarily part of the sequence, but they're going on
00:06:56simultaneously with those judgments.
00:06:59And our task today is to look at each of those judgments, there's 21 of them, and interpret them.
00:07:07What is actually happening here, and what is causing these, and understand the significance of each judgment, and how they
00:07:15all contribute to the whole.
00:07:18And then at the end, when we've done that, we're going to look at the issue around the timing and
00:07:23the sequence of them.
00:07:24Because there's a lively debate about how they relate to one another, these seals, trumpets, and bowls judgments.
00:07:31And then in the discussion, we're going to look at God's purpose for these judgments.
00:07:37How people will know that he is responsible, because they will.
00:07:41And why there is increasing severity of them over the course of the seven years.
00:07:47There's five different types of judgment.
00:07:51We have environmental disasters, such as earthquakes, but loss of natural habitats.
00:07:58We have human suffering, both directly inflicted, and coming through wars.
00:08:05We have the activities of the Antichrist, and the wars that he leads.
00:08:09We have cosmic phenomena, stuff going on out there in the stars, and in the sun and the moon.
00:08:15And we have demonic activity.
00:08:18And all of these are present in these judgments.
00:08:23Sometimes multiple of them within the same judgment.
00:08:26Now the seal judgments were introduced to us first.
00:08:29And the background here is that John, who's been praying, has been taken up into heaven.
00:08:34And then, in a vision, he's shown God sitting on the throne, holding a little scroll, written on, with writing
00:08:42on both sides, with seven seals, holding it shut.
00:08:46And then they're looking for someone who is worthy to open the seals.
00:08:49And they can't find anyone, and John weeps.
00:08:52And the angel says to him, don't weep.
00:08:54See the lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, as triumph.
00:08:58He is able to open the scroll, and it's seven seals.
00:09:00Now the assumption here is that the writing that's on the scroll describes the judgments.
00:09:07But that isn't read to us.
00:09:09What we do get is a description of what John then sees.
00:09:13So as each of these seals is opened, he gets a visual representation, sometimes moving, of what that judgment is.
00:09:21And he gives that to us.
00:09:23And our task is to try and understand what these mean.
00:09:28And the first one is, when they open the first seal, he says,
00:09:32I looked, and there before me was a white horse.
00:09:34Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror, bent on
00:09:41conquest.
00:09:41That's Revelation 6.
00:09:43This is 1 and 2.
00:09:45Some people think that this is the Lord Jesus.
00:09:48Because we know that when he does come, for the second time, he will come riding on a white horse.
00:09:54But that happens much later.
00:09:56This event is happening at the very beginning of the tribulation.
00:10:00Because this person is the Antichrist.
00:10:03And we know it's him because of the type of crown that he's wearing.
00:10:08They can see pictures of the crowns on the banner at the top.
00:10:11He's wearing what's known as a Stephanos crown.
00:10:14Stephanos is the word used for crown.
00:10:17It's translated crown in our English language Bibles.
00:10:20And a Stephanos crown is a wreath, if you like, of leaves.
00:10:27Bound together like that.
00:10:29Often laurel leaves.
00:10:30And it's the sort of crown that's given to people who have triumphed through effort and struggle.
00:10:37So, successful military campaigners have given these.
00:10:40And athletes, successful athletes, have given them as well.
00:10:45Jesus wears a diadem crown.
00:10:48And that's a metal band that may have decoration on it.
00:10:51You can see an example on the right there.
00:10:53The diadem crown represents royalty.
00:10:57So that's the one that Jesus wears.
00:10:58He says, this guy on the white horse is wearing the Stephanos crown.
00:11:03And we're told that he's given authority to go out to conquer.
00:11:07And he rides out conquering.
00:11:09So this tells us a number of interesting things.
00:11:13That this, the Antichrist, builds his kingdom through warfare.
00:11:20And we know he does that.
00:11:23It also tells us that he's successful.
00:11:27And he's at the height of his territorial extent at the middle of the tribulation.
00:11:31But it also tells us something else.
00:11:34It also tells us that this is not happening because of God's permissive will.
00:11:41God's designed this to happen.
00:11:43And he's using this as the judgment, one of his judgments on the earth.
00:11:48The arrival and rise to power of the Antichrist.
00:11:51It's part of God's plan.
00:11:55Now, second seal is opened, period.
00:11:57And that's the point at which he invades Israel.
00:12:00And takes over the nation and begins to persecute it.
00:12:02And then the last war, the third war, is the campaign of Armageddon at the very end of the tribulation
00:12:08period.
00:12:10But what's being spoken about here is more general than that, I think.
00:12:15Peace is being taken from the earth.
00:12:17Not just parts of the earth.
00:12:19So I think there are wars breaking out everywhere.
00:12:21And Jesus did say in his Olivet Discourse, did he not, that you will hear of wars and rumors of
00:12:27wars.
00:12:27And wars will continue to the end.
00:12:29So I think there's a breakdown of the international rules-based order, as people are fond of saying today, particularly
00:12:36lawyers.
00:12:37And people are fighting all over the place.
00:12:39Nation rising against nation.
00:12:41When the third seal is opened, he sees a black horse.
00:12:44It's Ryder.
00:12:45He's holding a pair of scales in his hand.
00:12:48Then I heard a voice saying, two pounds of wheat for a day's wages and six pounds of barley for
00:12:53a day's wages.
00:12:54And do not damage the oil and the wine.
00:12:58Now, what we're seeing here is very expensive food.
00:13:02Two pounds of wheat generates about 3,000 calories.
00:13:06And an adult male who's doing physical work will consume between 2,000 and 4,000 calories a day, depending
00:13:13upon how big he is and how much work he's doing.
00:13:16So what this is telling us is that what you would normally get for a day's wages, and in the
00:13:21original Greek text, the word denarius is used,
00:13:24which is broadly at that time, a day's wages.
00:13:27What you would get in terms of food for a day's wages is just enough to feed you as the
00:13:33worker.
00:13:34And there's nothing left over for family, friends, or anything like that.
00:13:38So food has become really, really expensive.
00:13:42And what causes food to become that costly is usually wars.
00:13:47People think it might be famines.
00:13:50We don't really get famines these days because we've got an international global marketplace.
00:13:54And if there's a drought and famine in one part of the world, there's a surplus in other parts of
00:13:58the world.
00:13:59It just gets moved.
00:14:00But what really does push up prices, as we've seen ourselves with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, is wars.
00:14:09Because it disrupts farming activity in the lands that they're being fought over, but it also disrupts supply chains.
00:14:15Which means even if food is being produced, it can't be taken to the markets.
00:14:20It's very interesting that what is in this text, in this prophecy, it says, don't damage the oil in the
00:14:26wine.
00:14:27It's a difficult one to fathom.
00:14:29But Arnold Fruchtenbaum says that at that time, these were medicines.
00:14:33They were used for medicines as well as food.
00:14:36So he says what's probably meant here is that pharmaceutical products are still available.
00:14:44Because they're manufactured from petrochemical products in factories rather than grown as crops.
00:14:50The last horse, the last of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, is a pale horse.
00:14:56And the rider is named Death.
00:14:57And Hades was following close behind him.
00:15:00They were given power over the water of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague and by wild
00:15:07beasts.
00:15:09These conflicts which take place are going to lead to a lot of deaths.
00:15:13Now, wars don't generally kill massive amounts of people like this.
00:15:20We're talking about between 2 and 3 billion people based on the world's current population.
00:15:27Ordinary conventional wars don't do that.
00:15:30So we're looking here at weapons of mass destruction.
00:15:35Biological weapons, nuclear weapons being used.
00:15:39The disruption to food supplies will cause famine.
00:15:43Because if your whole day's work can only pay for just enough food for you,
00:15:48if that goes on for a protracted period, famine results.
00:15:53People start dying of starvation.
00:15:55Wars are notorious for stimulating plagues and outbreaks of disease.
00:16:01Because they disrupt your infrastructure and damage it.
00:16:06So you've got your sewerage going into your water supplies.
00:16:09You've got corpses lying everywhere, animal and human.
00:16:13And bacteria from those getting into groundwater.
00:16:17You've got a breakdown of services.
00:16:20You can't get people to hospitals and supply them medicine.
00:16:23You've got outbreaks of vermin, mass numbers of vermin, particularly rats.
00:16:28Often the number of deaths from in the aftermath of a war is greater than the fighting itself.
00:16:35But this is an interesting one.
00:16:37Death by wild animals.
00:16:40Wild animals, if they're short of food, they'll become more aggressive.
00:16:44But they won't attack large numbers of humans and kill them.
00:16:48So this has got to be divine intervention.
00:16:51This has got to be a supernatural change in the behaviour of those animals in order for them to be
00:16:56doing that.
00:16:57Because it's been impressed on them since the flood to have the fear of humankind.
00:17:02They don't see us as food.
00:17:04The fifth seal is opened and I saw under the altar the souls of those who'd been slain because of
00:17:10the word of God
00:17:10and the testimony they had maintained.
00:17:13Revelation 6.
00:17:16This isn't a judgment on the earth.
00:17:18It's something else.
00:17:19This is showing us an event which happens in heaven.
00:17:23And we look into heaven and we see the souls of those who've been killed during the tribulation under the
00:17:29altar.
00:17:29And they're saying to God, how long, O Lord, are you going to make us wait before you visit retribution
00:17:35on those people that have caused our deaths?
00:17:39And he says, wait just a little while.
00:17:42Well, because there's more of you coming.
00:17:44And this means that terrible persecution is broken out on the earth and the saints are being massacred wholesale.
00:17:52But it also means that this particular seal must be towards the end of the tribulation period.
00:18:00Because these souls have been waiting under the altar a long time and they're getting fed up.
00:18:04And they're told to wait just a little while more.
00:18:07There's a few more of your brothers and sisters to come.
00:18:10So this gives us the clue to the chronological positioning of this event near the end of the tribulation.
00:18:17Seal six is very interesting.
00:18:21I watched as he opened the sixth seal.
00:18:23There was a great earthquake.
00:18:25The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair.
00:18:29The whole moon turned blood red and the stars of the sky fell to the earth.
00:18:33The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
00:18:40Now this is interesting.
00:18:41Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty and everyone else, both free and
00:18:45slave, hid in caves among the rocks of the mountains.
00:18:48They called on the mountains and the rocks fall on us and hide us from the face of him who
00:18:54sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.
00:18:57There's a great earthquake here.
00:19:00And this must be the greatest earthquake there's ever been in human history.
00:19:03Because that earthquake causes mountains and islands to be moved out of their place.
00:19:08And that can only happen through movement of the tectonic plates.
00:19:15And rapid movement and significant distances like happened during the global flood.
00:19:22That earthquake is going to be that bad and it's going to be totally global.
00:19:27The sun turns black.
00:19:30Now how can that happen?
00:19:32Well, either God stops nuclear fusion in the sun so it stops emitting light.
00:19:38Or he takes the light in flight away so that it's not arriving on the earth.
00:19:46And the whole heavens is rent and rolled back.
00:19:50And that either puts us in a lightless void or we see into heaven.
00:19:54And I think what's being expressed there is that the heavens are rent apart and people can see into heaven.
00:20:01And they see the Lord Jesus on the throne.
00:20:03And that terrifies them.
00:20:06And they try to find places to hide because they know his judgment has finally come.
00:20:10Or the moment of his judgment.
00:20:12And that again tells us that this seal has to happen right at the very end of the tribulation period.
00:20:20Because these are the conditions that will happen just before the second coming of the Lord.
00:20:26Does that make sense?
00:20:29Seal 7 is an interesting one.
00:20:32When he the lamb opened the 7th seal there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
00:20:38That silence is quite telling.
00:20:41That's telling us this is a momentous event that's coming.
00:20:45And I saw seven angels who stand before God and seven trumpets were given to them.
00:20:51Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar and hurled it on the earth.
00:20:56And there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.
00:21:01So two things happen here.
00:21:03There is another major earthquake on the earth that signals the end of these judgments.
00:21:09But we also see preparation for the next set of judgments, the trumpets.
00:21:14And that means that seal 7 contains the trumpet judgment.
00:21:22So they overlap as shown in that picture.
00:21:24In some respect, in some manner they overlap.
00:21:27Because the trumpet judgments are embedded within seal 7.
00:21:31Does that make sense?
00:21:32The first angel sounded his trumpet and there came hail and fire mixed with blood.
00:21:37And it was hurled down on the earth.
00:21:39A third of the earth was burned up.
00:21:41A third of the trees were burned up.
00:21:42And all the green grass was burned up.
00:21:46This is the most damaging judgment on the earth so far.
00:21:50We don't know whether this fire, which burns up the vegetation, and if it's killing the trees and the grass,
00:21:57it's everything in between.
00:21:58So shrubs, food crops, all kinds of plants, they'll all be destroyed.
00:22:03We don't know whether that's supernatural or whether that's because of human action.
00:22:08Some people think that it might be the use of nuclear weapons because they produce a tremendous heat blast that
00:22:16vaporizes anything organic within a certain radius.
00:22:20But nuclear weapons, even if you use lots of them, tend to fall on population centers and military concentrations.
00:22:27And the blast range is fairly small, a few miles.
00:22:33They're not going to be combatants.
00:22:35They're not going to be throwing their precious nuclear weapons on huge tracts of open country.
00:22:41So there's no human way of doing this, so the only thing that's left is a supernatural intervention.
00:22:46This is fire from heaven.
00:22:48And that's why it says fire is hurled onto the earth.
00:22:53With it are blood and hail.
00:22:57And all three of those are used in the judgments on Egypt, although not altogether like this.
00:23:02But in this case, it's the fire that does the damage.
00:23:05We're not told it, but this fire may also kill anyone in the vicinity.
00:23:12We don't know.
00:23:13Trumpet 2.
00:23:15The second angel sounded his trumpet and something like a huge mountain all ablaze was thrown into the sea.
00:23:21A third of the sea turned to blood.
00:23:23A third of the living creatures in the sea died.
00:23:26And a third of the ships were destroyed.
00:23:29Some people speculate that this could be a massive meteor or a supervolcano spewing lava into the ocean.
00:23:37A large meteor hitting the ocean, if it was miles wide, would cause a tsunami which would destroy all shipping.
00:23:46And any vessels in or on the ocean would be destroyed.
00:23:50So we can account for that.
00:23:52But what it wouldn't do is turn seawater to blood.
00:23:56This is another one of the miracles that God used in his judgment on Pharaoh in Egypt when he was
00:24:01bringing his people out of there.
00:24:04So that part of it has to be a supernatural intervention.
00:24:10Now, where this happens, we don't know.
00:24:12But we know one third of all the oceans are turned to blood.
00:24:16They're affected.
00:24:17The Atlantic Ocean constitutes 23% of all oceans.
00:24:23The Pacific, 46%.
00:24:24So we're talking about an ocean area roughly midway between the size of the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean.
00:24:32But we don't know where that will be.
00:24:36Trumpet 3.
00:24:36The third angel sounded his trumpet and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell onto the earth and onto
00:24:43the rivers and on the springs of water.
00:24:45Its name is Wormwood.
00:24:47These waters turned bitter and many people died from drinking them.
00:24:52This judgment completes the active destruction of all three of the main habitats on the earth.
00:25:00The sea, the land and fresh water.
00:25:06Some people think that this falling star is an angel because fallen angels are sometimes described in that way, as
00:25:14we will see a little bit later on.
00:25:17But this isn't the case here because what's happening is a physical change to freshwater bodies and rivers, lakes, ponds,
00:25:27groundwater on a third of the earth.
00:25:30It could be nuclear fallout, but that wouldn't change the taste of the water and make it bitter.
00:25:37So again, we have to conclude that this is another supernatural intervention.
00:25:43Trumpet 4.
00:25:43Now this is a really strange one, so I'll spend a little more time on this.
00:25:47The fourth angel sounded his trumpet and a third of the sun, moon and stars were struck, so that a
00:25:53third of them turned dark.
00:25:55A third of the day was without light and also a third of the night.
00:25:59Now in coming up for explanations for this, theologians usually first look for a natural cause.
00:26:09They say within the laws of nature, what could happen that causes this?
00:26:14And they come up with things like solar eclipses, which might cover a third of the light coming from the
00:26:20sun.
00:26:22But this can't be the case because a solar eclipse wouldn't affect starlight.
00:26:27And we can also see that it's not a reduction in the radiant energy coming from these light emitters that's
00:26:36happening.
00:26:38It's chronological.
00:26:40One third of the night is without light and one third of the day is without light.
00:26:45And no light from the stars.
00:26:48Four hours of total darkness until dawn.
00:26:51And then everything comes back on again.
00:26:53And there's only two ways this could work.
00:26:56Either God switches these light emitters off and brings them back on again after four hours.
00:27:03Stops nuclear fusion.
00:27:06Or they continue to emit, but he takes the light in transit away.
00:27:12So for four hours, no light is hitting the earth.
00:27:14Both from the sun and the stars.
00:27:18Amazing.
00:27:20Bizarre.
00:27:22And often people will look at that and they'll say, well, that's just bizarre.
00:27:25That's the stuff of fairy tales.
00:27:26And they find the need then to spiritualize this.
00:27:30They say, well, this must be allegory.
00:27:33So these stars, these light sources that's been talked about, must be the light of nations.
00:27:38They must be rulers and governments that's been affected.
00:27:42But it's not.
00:27:43It's the real heavenly bodies.
00:27:46And it's happening by supernatural rules.
00:27:49And I'll say a little bit at the end about why God does some pretty bizarre stuff in these judgments.
00:27:55There's a purpose for that.
00:27:59Trumpet five.
00:28:00Before the next three trumpets, the judgments are revealed.
00:28:06Eagle is seen flying in the air shouting, whoa, whoa, whoa, to the people on the earth.
00:28:12And he's doing that for good reason.
00:28:15Because as if what's happened isn't bad enough, what happens from this point forward gets a whole lot worse.
00:28:21So this is cranking up the severity.
00:28:27I saw a star.
00:28:28Now this is an angel.
00:28:30This is a fallen angel called Abaddon.
00:28:32Which means destruction or Apollyon.
00:28:36Fallen from the sky to the earth.
00:28:38This is probably when Satan is turfed out of heaven.
00:28:42And given the key to the shaft of the abyss.
00:28:45When he opened the abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke of a gigantic furnace.
00:28:50Out of the smoke, locusts came down on the earth and were given power, like that of scorpions.
00:28:55For they had tailed like scorpions.
00:28:57To torture for five months.
00:29:00Those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
00:29:04And the agony that these people suffered was like that of a sting of a scorpion when it strikes.
00:29:09During these days, people will seek death, but will not find it.
00:29:13They will long to die, but death will elude them.
00:29:18Now, are these natural creatures?
00:29:21They can't be, because they come from the abyss.
00:29:23And we know from other scriptures, the abyss is a temporary place of confinement for fallen angels.
00:29:30The demons that we have operating in the world at the moment are coming and going from heaven.
00:29:35Are only a fraction of the fallen angels that exist.
00:29:39Many, many of them are in the abyss.
00:29:44And Apollyon opens the abyss and out they come.
00:29:47And they take on this appearance.
00:29:49This appearance of scorpions combined with locusts.
00:29:56They also have men's faces, women's heads, lions' teeth.
00:30:00They have a crown on them.
00:30:01They have armour.
00:30:03This is a bizarre appearance.
00:30:05No natural creature looks like that.
00:30:06And this tells us that these are demons.
00:30:10And they put, constraints are put on them.
00:30:13They're allowed to torture people for five months with stings.
00:30:17But they're not allowed to torture those who have the seal of God on their forehead.
00:30:22Now, some people think this is 144,000 Jewish evangelists.
00:30:27But I think it's all saints.
00:30:29God wouldn't allow his own saints alive on the earth at that time to be tortured in this way.
00:30:35And of course, once this breaks out, and it'll happen very quickly, because there's millions and millions of these, stinging
00:30:45billions of people.
00:30:46The authorities will know who the saints are.
00:30:51Because they're the ones not suffering with the stings.
00:30:54Now, a scorpion sting is very fierce and sharp, like a burn.
00:31:00But after about four or five hours, it begins to fade.
00:31:03But God doesn't allow it to fade in these people.
00:31:07And they suffer that extreme pain for five months.
00:31:10And it affects them so badly psychologically that many of them try to commit suicide.
00:31:14But somehow, I don't know how, they are supernaturally prevented from killing themselves.
00:31:20Because God wants to subject them to that judgment for a full five months.
00:31:25And no one's going to escape by killing themselves.
00:31:28It's possible that these things are visible.
00:31:31And people can actually see them coming at them and stinging them.
00:31:35It's a pretty horrible prospect.
00:31:38The second woe is Trumpet Six.
00:31:40The six angels sounded his trumpet, and a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar,
00:31:47said to the six angels who had the trumpet,
00:31:49release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
00:31:52And the four angels that have been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year,
00:31:58were released to kill a third of mankind.
00:32:01But they don't do it on their own.
00:32:02They are leaders.
00:32:04The number of the mounted troops, that's their followers, was twice, 10,000 times 10,000.
00:32:11That figure is 200 million.
00:32:15Now some people think that these demons are another army of demons,
00:32:20in addition to those that have come out of the abyss.
00:32:24But I think it's the same.
00:32:27I think the number of demons that come out of the abyss is 200 million.
00:32:31And after they perform their function stinging,
00:32:34they're given authority to move as an army across the land and kill one third of humanity.
00:32:40We're probably talking about two billion people.
00:32:44There's a prophecy in Joel that talks about this event,
00:32:47which suggests that people can see these things coming.
00:32:51There's riders on horses, and the horses have heads like lions,
00:32:56and they have tails with human heads on the end of them, like snakes,
00:32:59with which they harm people.
00:33:01And they kill people by breathing out fire, smoke, and brimstone.
00:33:07And we're told they march in regimental lines, completely straight,
00:33:13and no obstacle that they meet causes them to move left or right.
00:33:16They go up over walls, up over buildings, in through windows.
00:33:21And people can see them coming, and are filled with dread.
00:33:25And they're killed by fire and brimstone.
00:33:28The seventh trumpet is like the seventh seal.
00:33:32There is some direct intervention on the earth,
00:33:35but it also contains the seven bowl judgments.
00:33:40The second woe was passed.
00:33:41The third woe is coming.
00:33:43This is quoting from Revelation again.
00:33:45Revelation 11.
00:33:46The seventh angel sounded his trumpet,
00:33:48and there were loud voices in heaven which said,
00:33:51The kingdom of the world has come,
00:33:52and the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Messiah,
00:33:56and he will reign forever and ever.
00:33:58So that statement tells us again that this seventh trumpet
00:34:02is right at the end of the tribulation period.
00:34:04That's another guide to its chronological position.
00:34:07Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues.
00:34:11Then one of the four living creatures around the throne
00:34:14gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls
00:34:18filled with the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever.
00:34:22And the temple was filled with the smoke
00:34:24from the glory of God and from his power,
00:34:26and no one could enter the temple
00:34:28until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
00:34:31Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying
00:34:33to the seven angels,
00:34:39So, that seventh trumpet announces this,
00:34:43the arrival of the seven angels with the seven bowls.
00:34:47So the seven bowls judgments are nested within the seventh trumpet,
00:34:51suggesting that there's overlap there again.
00:34:55And we're also told that these seven bowls,
00:34:58those judgments, conclude the execution of God's wrath on the earth.
00:35:03So this is the last septet, the last series of seven.
00:35:07But it is by far the worst and most destructive.
00:35:12Bowl one.
00:35:14The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land,
00:35:17and ugly, festering sores broke out on people
00:35:20who had the mark of the beast and worshipped his image.
00:35:25Like the stings by the scorpions,
00:35:28this is selective.
00:35:29God has constrained what these demons can do.
00:35:33And they are giving sores.
00:35:35We're not told where they are on the body or how many they are.
00:35:39People could be completely covered with them.
00:35:40But they're described as festering.
00:35:44Which means they're ulcer-like breaks or breaches
00:35:48that go all the way through the skin.
00:35:50And they cause an overreaction of your immune system,
00:35:54which causes inflammation and increased pain
00:35:58and weeping of the wound.
00:36:01And if there's necrotic material in there,
00:36:03they're also a foul odour.
00:36:05So it's going to be extremely unpleasant
00:36:07and extremely painful.
00:36:10And we know this has supernatural origin
00:36:13for two reasons.
00:36:14First, because everyone with the mark of the beast gets them.
00:36:18Young, old, male, female, healthy.
00:36:21Doesn't matter.
00:36:21They all get them.
00:36:23But those who don't have the mark don't.
00:36:26The saints will not contract it.
00:36:28And again,
00:36:30here's another way that the authorities will know
00:36:32who the saints are.
00:36:35Because they're the ones without the source.
00:36:40Bowls two and three I've grouped together
00:36:42because they are a revisitation of trumpets two and three.
00:36:48In trumpet two,
00:36:49a third of the ocean was turned to blood.
00:36:52And in bowl two,
00:36:54all the rest of the ocean is turned to blood.
00:36:57And in trumpet three,
00:36:59one third of fresh water on land is turned to blood.
00:37:02And in bowl three,
00:37:04all the rest of the fresh water on land is turned to blood.
00:37:09And that includes the rivers and the springs.
00:37:12The springs is telling
00:37:14because that's where water comes up from groundwater.
00:37:18Which means the groundwater is blood as well.
00:37:20So wells will be blood.
00:37:23Boreholes will be blood.
00:37:25What's not mentioned here is
00:37:27extracted water that's been stored.
00:37:30Reservoirs,
00:37:31cisterns,
00:37:32tanks,
00:37:33bottled water,
00:37:34cans of coke.
00:37:36They'll still be drinkable.
00:37:37And this is interesting.
00:37:39Speaking of the fresh water,
00:37:42we read this.
00:37:43Then I heard the angel in charge of the water say,
00:37:46You are just in these judgments,
00:37:48O holy one,
00:37:49you who are and who were,
00:37:51for they have shed the blood
00:37:53of your holy people and your prophets.
00:37:55And you have given them blood to drink
00:37:57as they deserve.
00:38:00Go back to seal five.
00:38:03And we see the martyred saints,
00:38:06the souls of them under the altar in heaven,
00:38:09saying,
00:38:09How long, O Lord,
00:38:10before you revisit retribution
00:38:12on those who took our lives?
00:38:14And he says,
00:38:15Wait a little while.
00:38:16And this is where he does it.
00:38:19By turning their drinking water to blood,
00:38:22you shed the blood of the saints,
00:38:24now you get blood to drink.
00:38:25This is where he does it.
00:38:28Now,
00:38:28these events must also come
00:38:30right at the end of the tribulation.
00:38:32And later on,
00:38:33I'll explain why.
00:38:35Bowl four.
00:38:37A fourth angel poured out his bowl in the sun.
00:38:39So here we're revisiting
00:38:40the fourth trumpet,
00:38:43which showed light,
00:38:44intermittent light from the light emitters
00:38:47in the universe.
00:38:48This revisits it.
00:38:50He poured out his bowl on the sun,
00:38:52which was allowed to scorch people with fire,
00:38:55seared by the intense heat.
00:38:58So what's happening here
00:38:59is causing the level of radiant energy
00:39:02from the sun
00:39:03to increase,
00:39:05rapidly increasing temperatures on the earth,
00:39:08and causing it
00:39:09increased ultraviolet radiation on the earth
00:39:11so that people burn and get scorched.
00:39:14And there's a number of ways he can do that.
00:39:16He can do something with our atmosphere
00:39:18so it doesn't protect us as well.
00:39:20Take away the ozone layer,
00:39:22reduce the depth of the atmosphere.
00:39:24He can increase the rate of nuclear fusion in the sun
00:39:28or he can cause solar flares from the sun.
00:39:33High levels of solar flares
00:39:35will increase the radiant energy on the earth
00:39:37and increase the heat levels.
00:39:39And it's probably that which God does.
00:39:43Bowl five.
00:39:45The fifth angel poured out his bowl
00:39:47on the throne of the beast
00:39:49and its kingdom was plunged into darkness.
00:39:51People gnawed their tongues in agony
00:39:54and cursed the God of heaven
00:39:56because of their pains
00:39:57and their sores.
00:39:59So this tells us a number of things.
00:40:01First,
00:40:02that there's overlap
00:40:04between some of these judgments
00:40:06because the painful sores
00:40:08which were inflicted
00:40:09came before in time
00:40:11but the five months
00:40:13is still,
00:40:14the time over which
00:40:16the people on the earth have them
00:40:17is still running
00:40:18when this event happens.
00:40:21And here we see something
00:40:23very, very interesting.
00:40:25Before we saw
00:40:26God was affecting
00:40:27the operation of the sun
00:40:29governing the amount of light
00:40:30that hits the earth
00:40:31around the clock
00:40:33chronologically.
00:40:34Now we see
00:40:35geographical change.
00:40:39Geographical interference
00:40:40with the light hitting the earth.
00:40:43So the only Antichrist's kingdom
00:40:44is in total darkness
00:40:45but the rest of the world has light.
00:40:49And this is very, very interesting
00:40:52because the people of the earth
00:40:53at that time
00:40:53will think
00:40:54that the Antichrist
00:40:55is some kind of God.
00:40:57They say of him
00:40:58who is like the beast
00:40:59who can wage war against it.
00:41:01They think he's a superman.
00:41:02They think he's unstoppable.
00:41:03They think he can do
00:41:04anything he likes.
00:41:07But here God is saying
00:41:08well, he can't stop me
00:41:09turning off the light.
00:41:12This is an act of mercy
00:41:14to those people
00:41:15because he is showing them
00:41:16no,
00:41:16he's not all-powerful
00:41:18I am.
00:41:20No matter what he says
00:41:22I'm in charge.
00:41:25This means that
00:41:26even this late
00:41:27in the tribulation period
00:41:29and we're talking
00:41:30the last few months here
00:41:31maybe the last few weeks
00:41:34he's still
00:41:35in the battle
00:41:35for hearts and minds.
00:41:37Both sixes and sevens
00:41:39I'm not going to spend
00:41:40much time on
00:41:41because this
00:41:41relates to the campaign
00:41:43for Armageddon.
00:41:44there's certain things
00:41:45God does in
00:41:46the bowl six judgment
00:41:48drying up the waters
00:41:50of the Euphrates
00:41:51allowing armies
00:41:52from the east
00:41:53to cross over
00:41:53towards Israel
00:41:54and in bowl seven
00:41:56there's a major earthquake
00:41:58which revisits
00:42:00seal six.
00:42:02Remember in seal six
00:42:04major earthquake
00:42:05plate tectonic movement
00:42:07mountains
00:42:08and islands moving
00:42:10well this revisits
00:42:12that
00:42:12and this time
00:42:13the mountains
00:42:14are flattened out
00:42:15and the islands
00:42:16disappear
00:42:17beneath the waves
00:42:18so more
00:42:19extreme
00:42:20plate tectonic movement
00:42:22than in the seals.
00:42:25but there's some
00:42:25new stuff as well
00:42:27one thousand pound
00:42:29hailstones
00:42:30falling on men
00:42:32we suggest that
00:42:33they're being targeted
00:42:35and because of the
00:42:36earthquake
00:42:36the collapse
00:42:37of all human structures
00:42:39all human cities
00:42:40and at this time
00:42:42the seventh angel
00:42:43who pours out
00:42:44his bowl into the air
00:42:45and out of the temple
00:42:47came a loud voice
00:42:48from the throne
00:42:48saying it is done
00:42:50so we know
00:42:51with the seventh seal
00:42:52the seventh bowl
00:42:54God's judgments
00:42:55on the earth are over
00:42:56so we must be
00:42:57at the very end
00:42:58of the tribulation period
00:43:00just prior
00:43:00to Jesus' return.
00:43:05So
00:43:05we've got some clues here
00:43:07to timing and sequence
00:43:08of these judgments
00:43:10and how the seals
00:43:11bowls and trumpets
00:43:12fit together.
00:43:14There are three different
00:43:15schools of thought
00:43:16this is the most popular
00:43:18it's the oldest
00:43:20and it's the simplest
00:43:21and it basically says
00:43:22that because the seals
00:43:24trumpets and bowls
00:43:25are presented in order
00:43:27in a specific order
00:43:28in scripture
00:43:29that's how they occur
00:43:30in the real world.
00:43:32So the trumpets
00:43:33will come after
00:43:34the seals are finished
00:43:35and the bowls
00:43:36will come after
00:43:37the trumpets are finished.
00:43:38But there's a problem
00:43:39and we've already
00:43:40alluded to this
00:43:41because in seal six
00:43:44we're told
00:43:45that people see
00:43:46the sign of Jesus
00:43:47in the sky
00:43:48in the heavens
00:43:49and they know
00:43:50he's about to come
00:43:52which puts that
00:43:53right at the very end
00:43:54of the tribulation.
00:43:56If that comes at the end
00:43:57it means that the trumpets
00:43:58and the seals
00:43:59can't come after it.
00:44:01So we know
00:44:02that arrangement
00:44:02is wrong.
00:44:04The second view
00:44:05is called recapitulation
00:44:06and that says
00:44:07that these judgments
00:44:09overlap completely
00:44:12and each judgment
00:44:13represents a particular
00:44:15point in time.
00:44:16It divides up
00:44:17the tribulation period
00:44:18of seven years
00:44:19into seven blocks
00:44:21of time.
00:44:23And seal one,
00:44:24trumpet one
00:44:25and bowl one
00:44:25all apply
00:44:26to the first block.
00:44:28Seal two,
00:44:30trumpet two,
00:44:30bowl two
00:44:31all apply
00:44:32to the second block.
00:44:34And these different
00:44:35septets
00:44:36represent different
00:44:38perspectives
00:44:38on that same block
00:44:40of time.
00:44:42So I'm sure you'll
00:44:43have seen feature films
00:44:44where the film
00:44:46covers a particular
00:44:47event
00:44:48that two or three
00:44:49or four people
00:44:50are involved in
00:44:51and the film
00:44:53looks at that
00:44:54same event
00:44:54from the perspective
00:44:56of the different
00:44:56people.
00:44:57And what they're
00:44:58saying is
00:44:59that's what's
00:44:59happening here.
00:45:01The problem is
00:45:02if you look
00:45:05at say
00:45:07block of time
00:45:08number one
00:45:09and you compare
00:45:10what the seals
00:45:11are saying
00:45:11is happening
00:45:11with the others
00:45:12they're completely
00:45:14unrelated.
00:45:17Seal one
00:45:18says antichrist
00:45:18is given power.
00:45:19So we know
00:45:20that's right at
00:45:20the beginning
00:45:21his kingdom
00:45:22when he's
00:45:23building his
00:45:23authority
00:45:24and establishing
00:45:24himself.
00:45:26Trumpet one
00:45:27says hail
00:45:28and fire
00:45:28destroy a third
00:45:29of plant life.
00:45:30Why would that
00:45:31be happening
00:45:32right at the
00:45:32very beginning
00:45:33of the tribulation?
00:45:35And that's
00:45:36nothing like
00:45:37and completely
00:45:38unrelated
00:45:39to antichrist
00:45:40building his
00:45:40kingdom.
00:45:41Bowl one
00:45:42talks about
00:45:43painful sores
00:45:44breaking out
00:45:45on people
00:45:45who worship
00:45:46the beast.
00:45:47So how can
00:45:48people be
00:45:48worshipping the beast
00:45:49at the very
00:45:50beginning of the
00:45:50tribulation
00:45:51when antichrist
00:45:52is still
00:45:53building his
00:45:53kingdom?
00:45:54Because we
00:45:55know that
00:45:56people don't
00:45:56start worshipping
00:45:57the beast
00:45:57until he
00:45:58proclaims himself
00:45:59as a god
00:46:00in the second
00:46:00half of the
00:46:01tribulation.
00:46:02So we know
00:46:02that formulation
00:46:03is wrong.
00:46:05True relationship
00:46:06is called
00:46:07interwoven
00:46:08or interlapping
00:46:09and it says
00:46:10this.
00:46:11The seal
00:46:12judgments
00:46:12come first
00:46:14but they
00:46:15span the
00:46:15entire
00:46:16tribulation.
00:46:16tribulation.
00:46:18So seal
00:46:18one talks
00:46:19about
00:46:19antichrist
00:46:19riding out
00:46:20to build
00:46:20a kingdom
00:46:22and seal
00:46:22six talks
00:46:23about seeing
00:46:24the signs
00:46:24of the
00:46:25coming
00:46:25of the
00:46:26Lord
00:46:26in the
00:46:26sky.
00:46:28First
00:46:29to last
00:46:29the whole
00:46:30of the
00:46:30tribulation.
00:46:31The trumpets
00:46:32and bowl
00:46:33judgments
00:46:33cover part
00:46:35of the
00:46:35tribulation.
00:46:36They overlap
00:46:37with the
00:46:38seals
00:46:40although they
00:46:42are sequential
00:46:43to the
00:46:44extent that
00:46:45they start
00:46:46in a
00:46:46staged way
00:46:48so the
00:46:48seal starts
00:46:49first
00:46:49then the
00:46:50trumpet
00:46:50starts
00:46:51some time
00:46:51later
00:46:52then the
00:46:53bowl
00:46:53starts
00:46:53some time
00:46:54later
00:46:54they all
00:46:55end
00:46:55together.
00:46:57And the
00:46:57one
00:46:59eschatological
00:47:00scholar that
00:47:01I've seen
00:47:01that gets
00:47:02this right
00:47:02is our
00:47:04own
00:47:04Donald
00:47:04Cameron
00:47:06a member
00:47:07of PWMI.
00:47:09So what
00:47:10do they
00:47:10actually look
00:47:11like?
00:47:13that
00:47:14stage
00:47:15beginning
00:47:18coterminous
00:47:19all ending
00:47:19together.
00:47:20That's what
00:47:21they look
00:47:21like.
00:47:22And because
00:47:23each of the
00:47:24seven in
00:47:25each of
00:47:25the trumpets
00:47:27septet
00:47:27has less
00:47:28time to
00:47:30deliver its
00:47:30seven they
00:47:31concertinaed
00:47:32up so
00:47:33they come
00:47:33in more
00:47:33quickly.
00:47:34And the
00:47:35bowl
00:47:35septet has
00:47:36even less
00:47:37time they're
00:47:37more concertinaed
00:47:38they come
00:47:39even more
00:47:39quickly.
00:47:41And because
00:47:41of this
00:47:42there are
00:47:43three different
00:47:44sources of
00:47:45increase in
00:47:46severity of
00:47:47the effects of
00:47:48these on the
00:47:49people on the
00:47:49earth.
00:47:51You've got
00:47:52one septet
00:47:53turning into
00:47:54two turning
00:47:54into three
00:47:56increasing in
00:47:57severity.
00:47:59You've got
00:48:00increased
00:48:00frequency like
00:48:02the increase in
00:48:03the frequency of
00:48:03labour pains.
00:48:05Another source.
00:48:07and then you've
00:48:08got the most
00:48:09potent and
00:48:10destructive of
00:48:11the judgments
00:48:11the bowls
00:48:12happening right
00:48:13towards the end
00:48:13of the
00:48:14tribulation.
00:48:14A third
00:48:15source of
00:48:16increase in
00:48:16severity.
00:48:17The result
00:48:18is the
00:48:19increase in
00:48:20severity of
00:48:20the judgments
00:48:22is exponential
00:48:23like in that
00:48:24figure there.
00:48:25That's how it
00:48:26would be felt
00:48:27on the earth.
00:48:29And it
00:48:30becomes so
00:48:30extreme by the
00:48:31end that you
00:48:32reach extinction
00:48:33level.
00:48:34I'll come
00:48:35back to that.
00:48:36Now, what is
00:48:38the purpose of
00:48:39the judgments?
00:48:41The judgments
00:48:41have two
00:48:42purposes.
00:48:43The first one
00:48:44is punitive
00:48:45punishment.
00:48:46The second
00:48:47one is
00:48:48redemptive.
00:48:50In terms of
00:48:51punishments we
00:48:52know that God
00:48:52when his
00:48:53patience runs
00:48:54out punishes
00:48:55the people of
00:48:56the earth for
00:48:57their sinfulness.
00:48:59But he also
00:49:00is determined
00:49:01to stamp out
00:49:02sinfulness.
00:49:05And there's
00:49:05two ways he's
00:49:06been doing
00:49:06that in the
00:49:07past with
00:49:07Israel.
00:49:09If the
00:49:10people can't
00:49:10be persuaded
00:49:11to amend
00:49:11their behaviour
00:49:12and return
00:49:12to him,
00:49:14he will
00:49:14sometimes take
00:49:15them into
00:49:15slavery.
00:49:17And what
00:49:18that does
00:49:18is it acts
00:49:19to cut down
00:49:20their freedom
00:49:21of action.

00:50:05the sin
00:50:06from the
00:50:07land.
00:50:09But,
00:50:11by far the
00:50:12most powerful
00:50:13and important
00:50:13motivation and
00:50:14purpose for
00:50:16these judgements
00:50:16is redemptive.
00:50:19because alongside
00:50:20the judgements
00:50:21God has
00:50:22ordained that
00:50:24the gospel is
00:50:24preached to
00:50:25everyone on
00:50:26earth.
00:50:27And there are
00:50:27a number of
00:50:28ways in which
00:50:29that's done.
00:50:30There's the
00:50:30144,000 Jewish
00:50:31evangelists.
00:50:33They're not just
00:50:34confined to
00:50:35Israel, they're
00:50:35evangelising the
00:50:36world.
00:50:37There's the
00:50:37saints that
00:50:38they create
00:50:39who are
00:50:40disciples, who
00:50:41are making
00:50:41new disciples.
00:50:42There's the
00:50:43two witnesses
00:50:44in Jerusalem.
00:50:45We know a
00:50:46little bit about
00:50:47them in terms
00:50:47of their
00:50:48supernatural
00:50:48power and
00:50:49we're fascinated
00:50:49by that.
00:50:50We're not
00:50:51told what
00:50:51they say,
00:50:52they're prophets.
00:50:53But if
00:50:53they're honouring
00:50:54God, they're
00:50:55giving the
00:50:55gospel, aren't
00:50:56they?
00:50:57They're talking
00:50:57about how to
00:50:58be saved by
00:50:58calling on the
00:50:59name of the
00:51:00Lord Jesus
00:51:00Christ, which
00:51:02won't endear
00:51:03them to the
00:51:03rabbis in
00:51:04Jerusalem.
00:51:06God sends
00:51:07an angel who
00:51:07flies through
00:51:08the air who
00:51:08preaches the
00:51:09eternal gospel.
00:51:11Worship God,
00:51:12the creator of
00:51:13all things.
00:51:15There's a
00:51:16parallel process
00:51:17going on in
00:51:17Israel, a
00:51:19redemptive work
00:51:19going on there
00:51:20too.
00:51:22Prophecy tells
00:51:22us that there
00:51:24will be a
00:51:24great harvest
00:51:25of souls.
00:51:26So we know
00:51:26that campaign,
00:51:27that program
00:51:28actually works.
00:51:30Revelation 7
00:51:32says this,
00:51:33After this I
00:51:33looked and
00:51:34there before
00:51:34me was a
00:51:35great multitude
00:51:35that no one
00:51:36could count
00:51:36from every
00:51:37nation, tribe,
00:51:38people and
00:51:38language, standing
00:51:40before the
00:51:40throne, which
00:51:40means they're
00:51:41in heaven, and
00:51:42before the
00:51:42Lamb.
00:51:43Then one of
00:51:43the elders
00:51:44asked me,
00:51:45these in
00:51:45white robes,
00:51:46who are

00:52:16way that

00:52:18judgments on
00:52:19Israel in
00:52:19ancient times
00:52:20did, shakes

00:52:57going to
00:52:57die, we
00:52:58can see
00:52:58this, you
00:52:59know, friends
00:53:00and relations
00:53:00around us,
00:53:01very sad, they
00:53:02get things like
00:53:03cancer, and
00:53:04sometimes it's
00:53:04terminal, and
00:53:05they're confronted
00:53:06with the
00:53:07knowledge of
00:53:08their imminent
00:53:08death, and
00:53:10it causes a
00:53:10rethink in
00:53:11them.
00:53:12Their values
00:53:14change, and
00:53:16that's what he's
00:53:17doing here, with
00:53:18these judgments,
00:53:20forcing people to
00:53:21acknowledge him,
00:53:23forcing people to
00:53:24re-evaluate their
00:53:26own behavior,
00:53:27forces them to
00:53:28consider the

00:55:19prophecies.
00:55:21The two
00:55:21witnesses in
00:55:22Jerusalem will
00:55:23tell them, these
00:55:25things are of

00:56:02laws.
00:56:02People will
00:56:03see these
00:56:04judgments and
00:56:04they will
00:56:04say, there's

00:56:07got to be
00:56:07supernatural.
00:56:10Evidential
00:56:10proof, and I
00:56:11think the
00:56:13antichrist at
00:56:14some point in
00:56:14the tribulation

00:57:01worldview
00:57:01will not
00:57:01survive.

00:57:04and all-powerful
00:57:05today.
00:57:07Captures the
00:57:07minds of the

00:57:11that exists has
00:57:12got natural
00:57:12causes.

00:57:14day, no one
00:57:16will have a
00:57:16materialistic
00:57:17mindset.
00:57:18Everyone will
00:57:19believe in the
00:57:19existence of
00:57:20God and
00:57:21Satan.
00:57:22They may not
00:57:23like God,
00:57:23they may not
00:57:24obey God,
00:57:25but they'll
00:57:26still believe
00:57:26in him in
00:57:27the way the
00:57:28devil does
00:57:28today.
00:57:29Extinction
00:57:31level events.

00:59:50will realise

00:59:51see this
00:59:51at any
00:59:52one time
00:59:53there's
00:59:53about
00:59:53seven to
00:59:54ten days
00:59:54worth of
00:59:54rain in
00:59:55the
00:59:55atmosphere.
00:59:56So ecologists
